At the beginning I thought she was kinda hard with all those quizzes she gives. But then I realize that she is actually very fair in her exams, mc tests, that's worth 60% of the total marks.

ellen, is probably the fairess teacher i know in my years in college. she is very considerate and understanding towards your personal problems and needs. also, gives a lot of assignments so that you can make up for your marks if you didn't do well on exam

her bio-psych class was really interesting, and she tries to make it fun. anyone who says shes a bad teacher has not seen the nutty line up of other psych teachers this school has. Besides, at first I did not like her, but found her to be very fair

Ellen is the best teacher I have had so far. Whoever said that she makes a mockery of her classroom must have been slacking off and failed a test and was pissed, because that couldn't be farther from the truth.

The only negative review about Dr. Domm on this msg board obviously comes from a bitter, angry baby. Dude, three words: Fundamental Attribution Error.

Very helpful: answers all questions fully; gives good analogies; explains all concepts and assignments clearly. Fair and reasonable. Approachable, friendly, very nice!

great teacher! She was so kind, and really helpful when it came time for exams. The only annoying thing in the class was the two idiots in the front who wouldn't shut up.

Outspoken, intelligent, and knowledgable. Assignments are unique and interesting, but she seems to really try and make tests challenging to avoid simple definition-answers. She's pretty too, and that helps!

Lectures are always interesting. Study, and good marks will come. Very kind and understanding. Very glad to hear she's teaching 101 in the fall!

My favorite class during the semster. Good textbook. Easy to follow. I would recommend her.

Tests are easy, if you read the book, and follow her notes. Assignments are easy as well as long as you put a little effort into them. I found lectures fun to go to.

Ellen is a great teacher and I really enjoyed taking her class. She is always smiling and has a good sense of humor! Her exams aren't easy but you can do well if you study her notes and the text. She has a lot of experience in the field and is interesting to listen to.

she marks very hard on essay ....though she is not an English teacher..but she got the quality of it ...very very hard on grammar, she can deduct lots of mark just because she doesn't like the word u use so work hard on the paper..papers will pull ur marks down, and her m/c is not easy !!

Great prof. Very interested in her profession and the material she teaches. Very helpful and a fair marker. You're guranteed to do well if you study hard, no hidden things in her marking! Cute too ;)

Super nice person. I love her stories. Yes she is a hard marker, but the comments she makes are helpful and she is always willing to discuss it with you after class.

Ellen is the a great prof - totally sweet and funny and relates material to her real life clients (which makes it that much more interesting). I am enjoying her class so much... AND HER ACCENT ROCKS!

Ellen is a doll! Nice person, organized, always explains everything clearly and with great examples. Lectures are interesting. You've got to read the text, though 'cause she tests from text & lectures. Very particular when it comes to marking essays. Tests are challenging but not impossible.

She has an awesome personality but as a teacher she is merely alright. She is fair and will help you if you need help. The thing that bugged me was that she always seemed a bit stressed and preoccupied with other things, which is maybe why i did not find her all too enthusiastic about her material.

Ellen's very passionate about what she teaches, and it really comes across in her classes. A first-class teacher!

Great teacher overall. Class is interesting. Tests are not too hard. Don't bother putting much effort into your essay though...no matter what you hand in you'll get a bad mark.

Ellen is an awesome teacher. She makes the class very interesting and she cares about the students. She is also fair and offers her free time for any questions you may have. She is very quirky and offers great examples from her psychology practice and from her life experiences. She was great!

defenitally one of my all time favorite teachers. sometimes it was a little hard to follow but she always alowed for questions for clarification. i would recomend her as a teacher to anyone. shes tough but fair and is willing to take time to help you. thanks for an awsome semester.

great proff. she's easy to follow, knows her stuff and has a good sense of humor. She made a 4 hour class seem shorter than some of my 2 hour classes. Tests are not easy but they're fair, although some of her questions are worded weirdly.

Ellen is really one of those profs that u really need to suck up to from day one, her mid terms and finals are very easy all multiple choice but beware of her essay work really hard on it and do as she ask.

Ellen is an amazing prof, she relates course info to real life so that you get a better grasp. Don't listen to the other ppl on here dissing her, she is so nice, approachable, and she really cares about her students to do well. She even cut down the number of essays we had to do last spring. She gives amazing notes, but know ur stuff for the exams!

Ellen is great at lecturing, her in-class activities and games demonstrate the material well. Exam questions can be tricky, but she is very fair and flexible if you have problems with a specific answer. Great class! I recommend her as a teacher.

She's fine. Neither great nor bad. Her class is straightforward, easy to study for. It's all about terms that are in the text, so it's simple enough to absorb the material. She does favor people, and can seems disinterested in most of her students. She's always running from one thing to another. Not th emost helpful, but her class is fine.

Ellen is probably one of the best profs at Cap. She tries to interact with her students and get them involved in discussions and projects. The exams are M/C and are not extremely challenging. Her exam questions are based on her notes. I highly recommend that you take a class with her.

ok, here's the deal: Ellen is fab as a prof...clear, & exams are NOT hard...all m/c, just read over your notes and the text sum's be4hand. She isn't that approachable...not a chatter at all and makes u feel awkward. But is a really fair marker and I got an A- in a very detailed course without working my butt off. cool classes.

Had her last year for 101. Awesome prof -- changed my major because of her. Nice and nice to look at. Really knows her stuff. Makes every class worthwhile.

She's ok. Her projects are hard, but fun to do. I hate that she puts everyone into group projects where you don't get to pick the people. I always get stuck with people who don't do anything. Her stories about her patients are soooo FUNNY though.

Had Ellen for Psyc 100, and I chose her again because she is an excellent instructor. Her overheads, and lectures are clear, though sometimes information conflicts with the text. She seems to always be willing to help as well.

She is a really nice teacher and person. I had a great time learning in her class! She is very helpful if you goto her at her office hours.

Good teacher, sometimes the lectures can be a little long-winded. Only problem is she tends to analyze her students and sometimes puts them on the spot and she can contradict herself or sometimes contradicts the book. Other than that she is a good, fun, sweet teacher, creates lots of interesting projects and an easy marker

Ellen is hot. Therefore, class is interesting. Her lectures are clear and organized. She tends to show an overview of her lecture before she begins. Her tests are easy, she identifies the specifics. Take extra time to complete the porfolio or else your marks will suffer.

The class was late yet she tryed her best to keep us interested. She is clear about what she expects for exams. Assignments however are a little vague, press for info! Just keep up and memorize the book. The exam will test you on every little thing, which is understandable. A' for learning it all. She is good, I recommend her.

Who wouldn't like Ellen? Pretty, sexy, fun, knowledgeable, fair... the ultimate great prof. I loved her class and would recommend her to anyone.

She is an amazing professor! Her lectures are clear and well-organized and very engaging. Attendance is not really necessary since most of the materials in her exams are in the text, but she's so passionate about teaching that its hard not to attend class! its just too bad that she's retiring.... :(

Although Ellen was not very approachable she is a great teacher. She is pretty clear on assignments and exams are very clear. I loved this class and the material. Keep up with the text and her notes are soo helpful.
