I took the 8-week course. She's clear but you must study! Read the material. I recommend any college student to take a Business Law course because there are not many of them offered at SMC. Highly recommend to take this class if you can.

A nice teacher who tries to help out students who need help. Although a lot of material to study and some HW, the class was somewhat easy. NO curves or dropping the lowest qiuz score. Not a hard class if you study the material. Good teacher for this subj.

i loved her. she thrives on common sense and the class is easy to ace if you do the homework and the practice exams. i learned so much from her and she brought me to love business law. but sit at the front or else you'll become easily distracted.

Bus. Law is not easy. There is no easy law courses. But she is very clear with her lectures, she gives out homeworks & practice test(90% similar to the exams) and gives out summaries, study guides and charts. Attend class, do homework, Guaranteed B (high B, that is).

Ms. Klugman is one of the best teachers that i have taken. her test are multiple choice, which gives you a choice between three possible solutions. if your an A student she will allow you to tutor for extra credit. she hardly checks homework but she might suprise you. Take her, shes a real cool.

Klugman is one of the best and most knowledgable teachers I have ever met. She got me really interested in pursuing a career in Business Law. All i can say is TAKE HER. She is just simply the best!!

I absolutely loved her! My advice to you is - tutor other students if you can. It pushed my grade up 7%! And she is in good shape for her age!

She is a very good teacher. She goes over all the material that will be on the test...Pay attention in class! It is a business law class so it will still be difficult...but she does a great job at teaching...and if you are border line she will give you the lower grade...I would know!

A very good teacher, very understanding, and she makes the class very interesting everytime. Before I took the class I didn't know anything about busines law, and I was worried that i wouldn't be able to pass the class. But I got A's for most of my tests and now I have a big interest in business law.

Seems to know alot about law. Definately brings Bus law to life and engages with students. Is slightly disorganized (homework could use a table of contents) and like almost all teachers in this day and age, doesnt ask you to compose an essay or anthing of such a nature.

If you don't make any effort and think just aceing the test is all you need to do this is not the professor. Also, pay attention she is always scanning the class, as if she's reviewing to pick a jury. So she knows who the characters are. GOOD CLASS WILL MISS!!

Klugman is an amazing professor. Out of all the profs i have ever had she was the best by a big biiiig margin. The way she speaks is captivating and easy to understand. Great teacher. Very patient with the occational idiots in class. Very strict about cell phones or talking. Checks homework randomly but she will never deduct points if you tell her you didnt do the homework as you walk in. Half the class had trouble with the class but it was probably the half that didnt read the book or do the work.

This teacher is on the hard side. You must attend class, do the homework and read read read the book. Some students who understand law may think this class is easy but those who don't understand it will have a difficult time. She is a great teacher and worth taking if you want to learn. Be prepared to work your butt off.

Took 6 week online class. If you are self driven you'll do fantastic. Very very heavy textbook use for exams, powerpoints she gives are good for review but just know the chapters you're being tested on and highlight your book to death, and you can get an A. only 6 quizzes, 3 exams, and 6 homework assignments. perfect online class set up.

Her online class is one of the more difficult ones that I've taken and the material/textbook was sometimes hard to understand. She is very particular in how she wants the homework formatted but she gives feedback to let you know what you did wrong. I would recommend the class but be prepared to study for some tricky tests and quizzes.

Provides materials and powerpoint presentations. No need to purchase the expensive textbook. Tests are fair and based off homework, practice exams, and power points. Attendance is mandatory as she will randomly check homework assignments. Professor is knowledgable about the law and teaches the material in a clear and concise manner.

There's a lot to remember in this class. Law is not as easy as you think. You need to learn how to apply what you learn in real life situations. The textbook is uninteresting, but very important for this class. Klugman is a kind and funny professor, but her grading is very meticulous. Don't ever argue against a Law professor.

Prof. Klugman will take you seriously only if you let her. She is humorous, knowledgeable, and readily available for questions during office hours. Professor E. Klugman is very good. She helps student ; her courses are funny and inspirational. Be prepare to read cause the textbook is not necessary helpful but required to be read. She is a tough grader but just. I would take it again because she made me love the law. Thank you Professor :-)

Klugman is super nice, very clear, and makes the class easy to pass. Her personal handout was great and very informative; most test info was straight from it. ONLY thing to be aware of: each test carries the same weight, regardless of the number of questions so every test matters. Complete the handout thoroughly, go to class and you'll be fine.

This is an excellent class. Prof. Klugmann is an attorney and knows the SM well. She is very good at explaining concepts that can be difficult to grasp if just reading text. Attending the class is important for a good grade. Tests are not easy, not hard - she does require you to think to do well in this class. Homework is light.

She is a really good professor. If you don't read the book or review the power points, you will not do well in this class. 95% of your grade is based on the tests. If you fail every test, you will fail the class. A lot of her test questions are similar to the homework. She's a straight shooter and tells you from the beginning what she expects.

One of my favorite teachers of all time. She lays down the law (in more ways than one) from day 1 and expects you to follow the rules, but if you do you will be rewarded with her wit, intelligence and expertise in contract law. Incredibly fair, patient with questions, and detailed and creative in explanations. She cares if you learn, and it shows.

I wish more than anything that Prof. Klugman taught more classes here! She is very clear on what is expected, so don't try saying, "oh, but you didn't tell us that.". Best advice? Go to every class, and record the lecture! There are a lot of times when she'll make clear what to expect on a test, and you don't want to miss it.

Professor Klugman was great. She has a great sense of humor and was able to apply different scenarios to the topics of discussion in class. Reading the book is a must, it was not difficult to understand at all. There were 5 exams, noncumulative. Attend every class, read, and pay attention, you will effortlessly get an A on each exam.

Hi I took her class in fall 2015 but I'm transferring and I'm finally reviewing all my teachers to help out. Professor Klugman is sharp and her lectures and expectations are very clear. When you have the chance to take a class at a community college that's being taught by an ex USC professor and top attorney you should take it. This is one of those classes. Saved $8k taking this highly recommended class at SMC. A real Gem of a professor.

I had professor Klugman over the 2019 summer semester. When I first enrolled I was intimidated but when she started talking she made me feel comfortable in the material. She made learning law understandable to her class. She gives extra credit and she takes the time to explain the homework in detail. I asked a lot of questions during the course.

She is strict, but an A is definitely doable. Write down every word she says in class, then make it into flashcards and memorize as a way to study for the tests. Do the homework because it takes a few minutes and its points off if you don't. She doesn't like "what-if" questions, but she will take the time to explain anything thoroughly.

The hardest A I ever had to work for but I so value it & the instructor's efforts to teach effectively after transitioning from on-campus to online due to the pandemic closure - wasn't easy for anyone. Professor is very no-nonsense and lots of students are lazy - wanting to put in min effort for an A. Not here, folks! You actually earn your grade!

She's intimidating at first, but trust me, she's AMAZING. She seems tough but she truly cares & wants you to succeed. Yes, you will work for your grade. No, it is not hard. Awesome class. The workload is at least 6-7 hours per week if you're efficient but use all the resources (which you need to do if you want an A). Test heavy but no busy work. Professor Klugman is very helpful and provides good explanations.

Took the class over Winter 2022 and expect to read the chapters. 2 ec opportunities. Best way that worked for me was to read the chapter, go over the review and vids she provides and then take the practice test then take the quiz. The grading criteria is self explanatory. She doesn't accept late work. You won't need it if you plan accordingly.

I'm a DSPS (Student with a learning disability). After taking Professor Klugman's class, I managed to get a B (normally I get C's). She allows for open book Interactive Assignments (which you can take twice) and Quizzes. Plus, she offers an Extra Credit assignment I highly recommend taking her class.

Great professor! She really cares about her students and makes up her own questions on the tests. Very minimal homework. Class is based off 2 quizzes per week on Mcgraw-Hill Connect and a few discussion posts. The "interactive assignment" is two attempts and the quiz is one. No midterm or final. Quizzes are not difficult. Highly recommend!

Took her 8 week course and it was very manageable alongside 3 more classes. Assignments are on McGraw Hill. Gives two attempts for the Interactive Assignments + open book. No midterm. Provides extra credit in the form of two quizzes, you pick 1 option. Make sure to read her handouts and all info in module and you'll do good on quizzes.

Took this class over the winter and everything was very easy to understand. Every week is about 4-6 assignments, including 2 quizzes but they are all open notes. She also offers extra credit which helps a lot. Overall would recommend her.

Great class! Very responsive over email and extremely nice. Lots of timed homework but you have 2 tries, a few quizzes you can take as many times as you want, about 3 tests you can only take once, and a few extra credit assignments. She is very clear in her expectations and also provides lots of extra material to help you grasp the information.

Professor Klugman's BUS5 class is straightforward if you stay on top of the work. The assignments and quizzes are manageable, and unstuck AI can be a helpful study tool alongside the textbook. Overall, a solid class.

8wk class. Minimal EC opportunities (18 pts EC, 1000 pts total). Students were cheating, AI/uploading assignments (we had 2 written assign. total, 270pts). 3 exams (450 pts). Had an 94% before last assignment (6Q, 35 pts ea.) and got 2/6 right, no partial credit nor insight as to what you get wrong because of students uploading assign. Unfortunate!
