nice lady, only 3 tests, TEST QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ARE GIVEN BEFOREHAND, NO HW!
very good at teaching, gets her point across well, hard hard hard testing though
nice ladie, very eloquent...hard testing
tests are exactly like the review sheet, moves fast in class but gives great notes, no need to buy the textbook, good attendance and class participation will earn her respect
Great Professor, Test questions are taken from the review sheet she gives out. She's a realy live wire in class and knows how to make it fun and interesting. Makes a three hour class seem like nothing. Always willing to help a struggling student
Hreat Professor, makes a three hour class fun and entertaining. Always willing to help a sruggling student in any way she can.
By far she is the best professor i have taken at RVCC. If you have to take Economics don't wait just take her.
Wonderful teacher- my favorite at this college! Test questions are directly from the review sheet she gives you- you just have to memorize the answers beforehand. She actually makes economics fun! Just show up and learn!
By far the sweetest prof at RV. She makes the class interesting and enjoyable.
Lindemann has a different grading policy from any other teacher at RVCC for her, only a 94 and above is an A grade. For those of you who are looking to keep your grades up; consider Aronson.
Easy class. Gives review sheet with pretty much the exact questions for the tests. Goes over everything and u just have to study the review and u'll get a good grade on tests. Homework every once in a while which is only 1 question, not hard either! Very nice lady and made it interesting!
shes funny & very knowledgeable. gives you a study guide and makes you fill it out before the review class. will clarify any questions u may have on the study guide. u will have to know definitions and how to draw specific curves. other than that, Easy A. Just take good notes. Test is on class notes
she was the best teacher i ever had! shes so animated, and keeps your attention. the review sheet covers everything that will be on your tests! It was really an enjoyable class.
She was my worst professor ever at RV. She was a hard grader and there is no curve. She has an attitude problem. Takes attendance at the beginning of class and sometimes again after a break. Very very strict teacher. I'd never take her again.
I can honestly say I enjoyed Micro with a straight face. Very helpful and fair.
A boring class only because it is a boring subject. She made it as interesting a she could. Gives out excellent review sheet before tests. No quizes, just show up and take GOOD notes. Surprised I got a B in the class.
Very difficult, hard to follow, unrealistic expectations from students! I would not recommend her!
I have had her for two semesters. She is really helpful and patient with you. She makes her classes interesting and fun. Def. take good notes. She gives you review sheets that covers everything that you'll need to study for tests. I def. recommend her if you are a Business major.
She was an excellent teacher. I enjoyed coming to this class. She did not lecture in a boring manner, and always encorporated the students into discussion. She gives review questions that appear almost exactly the same on the exam. I would highly recommend Mrs. Lindemann.
Terribly unclear. A student like me with straight A's did'nt do too wel. Tests are strictly based on lecture notes where she talk really fast and you can't get a chance to copy every thing. She does not discuss grades even if she's wrong. I didn't like her at all.
She is a very helpful teacher and pretty darn nice. However, she is one of the hardest graders I have ever had. You take a test thinking you did perfect and find out you almost failed. Dont take her unless you want to spend every minute of your life studying for no reason
She is very nice teacher.. You take her test and you walk out thinking you did great but she takes off points for silly things!! She gives you a review sheet which is helpful but you have to find the answers on your own sometimes they arent in the book and that sux if you didnt copy all notes.
ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS I HAVE EVER HAD!! So straightforward and down-to-earth. Very easy to get an A if you go to class and pay attention. She's funny and friendly and overall an awesome teacher.
Very strict, exams are essays and you must write word by word what she had said in class, and even might not get an A.
This professor is not one that you want to take. All of her tests are short answer and many of them are worth alot of points so if you get one wrong you are out of luck. She does provide a study guide but then puts questions that weren't on the study guide on the tests. It seems like she doesn't care if you fail or succeed and grades very strict
i got a D in her class, but only because i didn't show up for class. i'm retaking it this semester and i have to say she's a great teacher. if you show up for class and take notes you'll do well on the 3 tests in her macro class.
Do not take her i took her for macro and i ligitly took notes and did horrible on 2 tests one i studied my ass off and thought i would do good, she came to class always lookin pissed and complained when the class did bad on a test why we didn ask for help but when kids asked for help she puts them down DO not take
Worst teacher ever! She one of those teachers who just does her time, & answers no Questions. She'scomplainer & hates student body. She will definately give study guide that include 20 to 25 essay question with 20 vocab words & the only part you'll see on the test from the study guides R the Vocab words. She wants you to memarize text BOOK WORD2W
You don't want to take this teacher! She will give lectures and not pay attention to a student's need. Tough grader and has nasty attitude towards every student. She has 2 test and her final is an accumulative of the whole test book, which she want you to memorize. In another memorize the whole book to pass her class with a C or a D. Her A = 94
She has been a proffesor less than 5 yrs & she hates teaching. Has Hard essay questions and is a tough grader. doesn't give enough extra Credit to get your grade up. Do not expect any kind of help from her coz she hates to give any. If you want to pass the class memorize the text book and that too might not be enough. Go with Aronson!
She is a good teacher that gives you great knowledge in the subjects she teaches. However, if you take her class be ready to work hard and study even harder.
WORST PROFF! EVER she wants students to fail her class. She hates to answer questions and hates to share the knowledge with the students. Her study guides are as vage as an ouline of an text book and she expects her answers to be exactly word to word from the text. If you want to pass her class then memorize the whole text W2W, and the lecturesW2W
I took her macro economics class and recieved a failing grade and the next semester I recieved a high B. Her tests are grueling with no multiple choice. Not only are the tests hard but she grades them even harder. She is a pleasant person but I wouldn't suggest this class.
One of the most boring classes ever, run by a teacher who is very arrogant, always referring to herself as an economist. I'd rather her refer to herself as a professor. Tests are all essay, she doesn't want you to do well...has a very bad attitude. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS
she is a tough teacher and u will have to sutdy hard to pass, but she gives out a study guide and if u answer the study guide and study it u will do well on the tests. I got a b+ but worked hard
Absolutely awesome teacher. Somehow manages to be energetic over a boring topic. Her tests are basically the review sheets she hands out and the lectures are way more helpful than reading.
I really enjoyed her class and am going to take her again for Micro. She is one of the most helpful teachers I have ever had. Her tests are her review sheets so if you don't do them of course it will be hard. She will do anything to help you out. If you want to learn and do well she won't hesitate to help. Take NOTES!!
Very good teacher. Made Economics seem interesting. Also a pretty easy grader. Always gave good reviews just before a test.
Great but difficult. This is one of the few B's I've ever gotten
Took online during 6 wk summer. Had 2 postings/week and homework. Lots of writing for posts/discussions. Tests make you think - not as easy as the practice quizes. You'll think and learn a lot, but it's work! Suggest taking only her class if taking it online during the a summer session so you're not overwhelmed with studying.
she's great! knows what she is doing. extremely hard class if you arent absolutely into it.
I loved her! You have to work hard to study but you know exactly what she will ask on tests. She knows so much about her subject and loves teaching it. I would recommend her to anyone.
She is a great crystal clear professor, only tests on what she goes over so take notes. Her tests are not multiple choices so you will have to memorize exact words to get the point for your answer. I have a great knowledge of the material she covers but for some reason can't get a good grade on her tests, I keep losing points for tiny imperfections
She is animated and fun, witty and topical. Prof. Lindemann is extremely entertaining and captures your attention. She spells out everything she will test you on, and is very detail oriented. You must know the material, but she hands it all to you giftwrapped.
Don't not take her! She give only three tests and if you fail one your screwed. There open ended questions and I wrote word by word what she said in class and still got everything wrong. Nice lady but super hard and confusing
Going into Macroeconomics I was excited to learn more about the economy and how it works. After taking this class I never want hear about it again. Professor Lindemann was confusing and extremely difficult. Never clear on anything, and doesn't cut you ANY slack on the exams or on homework. DONT TAKE HER
shes terrible. shes the hardest grader ever. after every test I walk out thinking I just aced it. then next class I find out I got a C. she takes off a bunch of points if you get one little thing wrong, even if you get the basic concept. if you want an easy fun class then DONT TAKE HER
Great professor! its hard work so if your one of those i dont like to do alot of work and earn a easy A do not take her...her exams are based of the review sheets she gives you so its nothing hard just alot of studyin. Shes clear and knows what she is talking about. Also very helpful if you go to her on her office hours....
She appreciates the students who see her during her office hours. If you go and ask for help (even if you do not need it) she will help with anything! The personal connection and your effort will help your overall grade. I learned this too late and received lower scores on the hws because they were not covered in class.
Good speaker kept me interested and engaged. Her tests are absolutely brutal. Lost points for thing like not using jargon. Don't recommend unless you don't care about gpa or are extremely book smart.
This professor is really hard!! She is a very nice lady but I would never ever take her again. She gives way to much work and her tests are impossible to pass!
She is a great professor. This is only if you are able to take good notes and pay attention. Very straight forward grader. Do ALL the homework..easy enough points. The tests can be difficult, but her study guides really do help. If you want an opportunity to learn a lot from a motivated and passionate prof. take her!
Love'd this professor. She's very nice and is willing to help you as long as you ask. The class isn't easy in material so I'd advise avoid skipping for dumb reasons bc every class is crucial to the homework and test and she divides your grade between them. It sounds like a pain, but I'd recommend you not skip any, they help a lot on reviews.
She is a tough teacher but you will learn a lot In order to do well you MUST take good notes and pay attention. 10 homeworks and 3 tests. The homework will save your grade if you do all. the tests can be pretty hard, but if you really really study you will do well. She presents the info fairly clearly and grades a bit hard. take her if you have to
Easy class online. Take in the summer. Read PowerPoint slides and answer the posts completely. 2 tests m/c. Use practice tests (not graded) as guide.
I love Ellen Lindemann. She is amazing professor with so much knowledge of her subject. She is ALWAYS willing to help. Although she is a tough grader, her study guides are exactly what you need to know for the test. She has met up with me multiple times outside of school and gives you the entire class prior to your test for questions. TAKE HER!!!!
Although she grades VERY tough, she is crystal clear about what she wants. Every question that is on the test is also on the review sheet, so its easy to prepare. Only gave out 10 short homework assignments throughout the semester. Extra credit opportunities are available, but they're not worth too much. Very nice, animated lady, kept me engaged.
Had Lindemann for Macro-econ. It is a tough class but she tries to make it interesting. If you have her as a professor be sure to take A LOT OF NOTES. On tests if you dont answer the question EXACTLY the way she wants it worded, she will take off points.
Not for the faint of heart. You will feel like you did well on the test, then find out you scored poorly. She is looking for WORD-FOR-WORD answers from the lecture or the textbook. Critical thinking and deductive reasoning are DISCOURAGED. Take notes and memorize them - or fail. Visit office hours to have material worthlessly regurgitated at you.
She's one of the nicest ladies out there, but honestly this is the hardest class I've ever taken. I'd feel like I'd being doing an incredible job on the test and then get it back and get a 60 without understanding what I did wrong. Very, very tough professor beware.
Horrible professor. Tests are only open-ended answers & if you don't give a word for word answer of what she wants she'll take points off. Not clear at all and considering her horrible grading, she only gives 3 homework's worth 10 points each. Otherwise all other grades are depended on midterm and final. Advise NOT TO TAKE!
Took macro online. Three homework assignments, two weekly forum posts, and a midterm and final, noncumulative. Set clear grading criteria in the syllabus. Not a hard class if you put in some time. Her "A" grade is a 94, higher than usual, so you need to work harder for an A.
Grading is extremely picky, if you answer a question without the exact wording she wants you will lose credit.
Other than the memorizing required for tests and the 94% requirement for an A (less than that is a B+), there are no other complaints about this professor. Dr. Lindemann is very engaging with her lectures, particularly when she includes students as characters in hypothetical scenarios. If you don't mind getting less than an A, take her class!
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!! Honestly, I got F from the class because her exams are really hard. If your can remember a lot stuffs than she gives you, ok you can take her class. All three exams were ALL essay questions. Even though she gives you review papers before the exam but still really hard, she always can find something to take away ur points.
By far my favorite professor at RV. Class is always interesting and she's the nicest lady. Yes there is homework, but they are super short and only take about 10 minutes to do and it really helps you learn the material. Tests are easy if you do the study guide. The study guide is literally the test questions so if you do those you will be fine!
You have to go to class because she grades the exams really harshly, and expects you to remember little things she noted in class. She's always available for extra help but studying and attendance is a must. Would not take again since tests are open-ended.
Dr. Lindemann really made microeconomics much more interesting than I thought it would be. She expects comprehensive and word for word answers on her 3 exams and home works but in turn, she supplies comprehensive review sheets that she pulls questions from. Have her check your answers on there and you will be fine! Amazing professor. Very helpful.
Prof. Lindemann was super lecture heavy. You have to attend class to have all the notes, if you miss a class you miss about two pages of notes. She is a tough grader and looks for verbatim answers from the definitions she provides. I enjoyed her lectures because she was passionate about econ, however it was a struggle to receive a B in her class.
I enjoyed Prof. Lindemann's lectures however I just finished her course and I struggled to receive a C. This class is extremely difficult due to her grading, she is a very tough grader and you really have to study. The final exam was nearly impossible. I studied for a week before hand and somehow scored only a 70. Very confused and disappointed.
Not an easy class, but a fair and reasonable work load. She grades pretty tough, but the class is rewarding.
Lectures well, clear with her message. Only downside is when it comes time for grading she wants to see exactly what she wants to see for credit, and that goes for tests and homework.
Terrible professor. horrible at explaining the information within the class. Very hard grader. Graded on few things in the class(3 exams basically your fate in the class). She expects for the student to use the specific jargon of the class in the explanations even though what you write is correct and will take off points for it.
she gives 10 homework and 3 test for the whole semester. each homework is worth 10 points and each test is worth 100 each. it doesn't sound that bad till you get your test back and see she took points off for not using the exact definition of things but explained it in your own words. unless you can memorize a bunch of vocab i wouldn't take her.
I loved Prof. Lindemann. She was so kind and genuine to all of her students. She is always available-just send her an email! She explains her material incredibly well, although her exams are difficult you will definitely walk away with knowledge of the subject.
When it comes to tests they were hard if you didn't study. If you studied what was on the review sheet you ill be fine. She doesn't add anything to the test that is not on the review sheet. Pay attention and take notes and you will be fine! Her lectures are easy to pay attention too.
This professor gives great lectures, but she is the TOUGHEST grader on tests. She basically wants you to write exactly what she states in class, if not, you lose points easily on her exams. Our class average was a 60 on our first exam.... I DON'T recommend her unless you're extremely confident in this course
Expects you to answer her tests the way she says in her lectures. book definitions don't get you full credit. She never uses Power point or slides. and only writes a few words on the board with no description.
Learned lots! Interesting lectures but they do drag on occasionally. Beware, only 10 hws & 3 exams so if youre lazy (like me), it's easy for your grade to plummet. Exams are fair & thorough - taking notes & filling study guide helps. If you arent a business-related major it may seem overwhelming at first. She is VERY strict about HW due dates!
Test are crazy hard! Beware, if you don't write what she says and how she says it in class you will fail her tests. very tough grader! I answered all of the question on test #2 how she said things and I still got a 62. If you skip a class you will fail. However, if you go to her during office hours to ask her for help she is very helpful.
Must make a 94 for an A. Does not give usful feedback. Will give homework assignments with little guidance. Youre on in this Class, and the prof isnt concerned with your success.
Very tough grader but this class isnt impossible to do well in like the other reviews say. You need to work for your grade & understand material. BE SURE to go to class and write what she says WORD FOR WORD. She will usually emphasize the important things. Tests are all essay questions and a 94 or above is an A. Just do the work, basically.
Prof gives really good lectures. The homework she gives are a good practice for what she teaches in class. Her grading criteria is slightly above rest of the professors which I think is absolutely fine looking at the work she herself puts in, and expects her students to do the same. Easy to talk to and gives good examples to explain concepts.
I do not recommend taking this professor. Her lectures and workload are heavy, tests are all short answer and I don't recommend taking her as a professor for this class if you don't want to deal with five pages of short answer tests. As a student with a full-time schedule, she makes it so that I have to focus on my other classes less.
Physically aged 10+ years from the workload, but was rewarding. Did well, but it was the hardest class that I've ever taken in my entire life. If you do not absolutely love the subject, take the class with the easy professor.
Her grading scale has a 94 and below as a B, yet she grades homeworks and projects as if a 90 is an A.
Brutal Test's. Failed her class twice, insane amount of information to retain. Only talks during class (not how I learn). Would not recommend if you don't do well focusing for 2 hours.
Easy class if you work for your grade, make sure you study, Lindemann really knows what she's talking about and I loved being taught by a very intelligent professor. Stay on top of everything and you will do very well. I highly recommend going to every class. She does take attendance. There's a ton of extra credit too.
94 and above is an A which is absolutely bizarre. All of her tests are short answers and they have to be on point. Would not recommend her unless you want your other class grades to suffer
Good professor, Don't let the reviews scare you. The class isn't a breeze but if you pay attention or took business / economics related classes in highschool you'll be fine because you'll have a strong enough background for this class. The grading on the tests can be pretty tough but the questions are easy so beware of silly mistakes.
definitely not an easy A by any means because an A is a 94 or above but it is manageable. By taking extremely good notes on everything she lectures and studying extremely before the tests and making sure your homework is done correctly youre fine. She is a very helpful, nice and funny professor, tough grader, but clear about her requirements!
She's awesome really recommend her! She's gives timely feedback on tests and homework. It's not too homework heavy but its a manageable amount of homework given. Her lectures are easy to take notes on because she explains the material clearly. She gives study guides what is expected on her tests making it very clear to study. She is very caring
This is the toughest teacher you will ever have, however she gives extra credit and actually answers questions amazingly. You can tell she is tough because she cares about her job. Tests are very hard and lectures are talk heavy, but it is possible to pass.
I took this professors online class for both micro and macroeconomics. Her grading is honestly all over the place. I find there is no consistency with how she grades discussion boards and homework assignments. She post a grading rubric that states what shes looking for but its still not helpful. Also- quizlet is a big help on all her exams.
She is the worst professor Ive ever had and makes the class almost impossible. If you are familiar with macroeconomics and are confident in your knowledge go right ahead but if not definitely AVOID HER. There is only 10 homeworks and 3 tests including the final. Textbook is worthless as her definitions word by word only count for points on tests.
She straight-up sucks. Her tests are IMPOSSIBLE. If you do one thing wrong you get a zero on the assignment. Her grading criteria are completely unfair, you have to get a grade above 94 for an A. It is impossible to get a great test grade, all of the tests are open-ended so if you don't write her exact thoughts on the test its wrong. DO NOT TAKE!!!
Her tests are all essay questions and they must be in the same words as she discussed in class. An A is a 94 which is very difficult to achieve by the way she grades things. There are only 3 tests And 10 Homework assignments.
Only accepts her definitions/answers--textbook will only help you on the material that she doesn't cover in class, and even then, it's shaky. Wouldn't have rated her difficulty so high if the grading scale weren't so ridiculous--to get an A, you need 94%.
She is very liberal. Constantly talking about Karl Marx. (His economic theories are a joke theyve never worked) she grades tests down to your definition being so exact with hers or its a 0. Same with homeworks. You can have the right answer & concept. and shell mark it wrong. Class average on 1st test was a 61% thats a failure on her part imo
Tests make up the majority of the grade. The class average on the first test was in the low 60's... This just tells you there is a failure here on HER part. for a basic economics class she grades so specifically, if definitions don't match her verbatim you get a 0 on the Q. I was getting 100s on HW but F's on tests. if you care about your gpa dont
Test answers have to be directly from her lectures slides, and also have to be word for word. It's really frustrating because if you answer using terms/phrasing from the textbook or the powerpoint slides (which are different than the lecture slides), she will take points off. :(
Professor Lindemann is very genuine and kind. But all tests and quizzes have to be in her exact words. If you use a textbook or online she will take points off, and Ive even gotten 0s on assignments when I wrote things in her words. She wont even give partial credit if you got one small thing wrong. Would not recommend.
The hardest professor I've had at RVCC she is knowledgeable about the subject but she doesn't lecture what results on tests. Her tests are very hard any many concepts all in one to remember also if your answer is even a tad different than her words points off highly do not recommend taking this class if you don't have to.
Worst class I've ever taken at RVCC. I would not recommend her to anyone. Her lectures are long and barely touch on what you need to know to do a good job on the homework or discussions. Constantly posts the wrong material for the week and you end up looking online for every answer or explanation. Do not take her class if you can avoid her.
Professor Lindemann gives great lectures and is a very nice woman. However the tests are crazy hard theres only 10 homeworks a year so if you get bad grades on any, it drops your average. Everything must also be in her own words or is marked wrong. You must also be an amazing notetaker since everything on the test is given in the lecture.
BEWARE! Even if you study hard, you won't do well. Even if you get the answer correct, she'll mark it wrong because it's not in her exact words.
So I am taking her class currently and I only needed Microecon for credit she is absolutely no help at all in-office hours I ask her questions because I need help and all she says is it's in the notes or we go over it in class. Avoid her at all costs, only 10 homework grades, exams need to be in her words or you won't get credit
Avoid her if you can. Good lecturer and storyteller. But she's a ruthless grader. Her grading system makes no sense and there are so few hws and tests, meaning you're forced to do good on them or else you're screwed. I did great in Calc I and Stats 2, and still her grading made me feel stupid. Everything must be in her exact words. lots2memorize.
Her class is incredibly boring. Her stories are awful and take up half the class time and I often fail to see the relevance of them. She is very bad at going over the material, she just writes terms on the board and repeats the definitions. After the second test, half of the class had to withdraw. Should tell you just how bad of a teacher she is
Terrible. I am not sure what kind of person grades the way she does, but I would love to meet someone who has got an A in her class. Doesn't seem possible. Just drop it. Not worth it regardless of the class. Just take a different teacher, there is literally not a worse teacher than her.
mid af
To be honest. She is not a great prof and does not grade properly. She is very test heavy and if you do bad on one, you won't get an A. She doesn't give you the correct definitions and on tests everything needs to be in her words otherwise it is wrong. DO NOT TAKE. DO NOT HAVE HER. not a fan.
her class is pretty tough, but if you take time and study you are able to do well. She does take points off if the definitions are not in her words. Also, she takes points off for unnecessary things as well. Not the best class and is a pretty tough grader as well.
The class is extremely hard first and foremost. If you are planning on studying all day for just an average grade then go right ahead. She is insanely tough on all of her gradings and really does the most to take points off for the most minimal things. Only 10 homework assignments with 3 exams including the final. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!
One thing about her is that her tests require almost exact definitions. You probably will never ace a test but there are multiple extra credit opportunities by going to presentations and writing a reflection on them. No group work, mostly all lectures. Memorize all definitions and concepts and you'll get an A.
Awful, you can study from the $200!!!! textbook but you wont pass. She only likes answers that come straight from her mouth so the textbook is worth nothing due to those examples not being her "word for word".
She was very enthusiastic about teaching but she is an extremely tough grader I had an overall of a 79.75 and should wouldn't round my final grade average up to an 80.
Absolute reliance on a grading rubric. Weekly discussions seem to be graded exclusively on wordcount. I strongly suspect it doesn't matter what you actually write. Never received any feedback from a discussion. Uneven work distribution. Check the syllabus for planning. Tests are easy relative to the material. She can be extremely direct via email.
only 3 exams worth 100 points each, and 10 homework worth 10 point each. gives you the material needed. always available at office hours. she doesn't mind if you show up late, or don't come to class. has lectures recorded online. provides extra credit. tough class, but gives you everything you need to do well., if your willing to put in some work.
I LOVE Dr. Lindemann!! Don't buy the textbook she doesn't use it, tests are hard STUDY, long lectures ASK ABT ALL QUESTIONS ON THE GUIDE, take good notes, she's very nice and funny, homework is important so do it early, she will correct your study guides if you finish it early DO IT, she is more lenient with involved students, responds to emails!!
I took her for macro & micro I LOVE her! Not a lot of people take this class so she gets happy when she sees familiar faces. Take good notes, ASK ABT THE QUESTIONS ON THE GUIDE, hw and test heavy, responds to emails, finish ur guide EARLY and she will correct/finish it, she loves econ and she's a great teacher!!
Took Professor Ellan as a requirement for Engineering. If you did not answer verbatim from what she says in lecture you can expect a 50 on the tests. If you absolutely have to take, write down everything she says, even the weird stuff. Then just memorize and forget everything when you're done. 3 exams, 10 HW assignments. Make sure you turn them in
I can't speak about her in-person classes, but i took her online Macroeconomics class this summer and it was honestly not that bad. As long as you know how to manage your time well, watch the lecture videos, skim the textbook, and understand the concept to the point where you can explain it to the class in your own words, you'll do more then fine.
Professor Lindemann is very nice and understanding; she makes sure her students comprehend the material. She does not assign homework every day, and when she does, it is only a few questions. One of the best professors I have had, I highly recommend taking her class.
She's very adamant with due dates, not flexible about things in class and doesn't really adjust to student circumstances. Class is overall okay, lecturing is decent. Just not a very pleasant and approachable person and difficult to work with. At times, will not listen to student concerns. Would not recommend and will not take this professor again.
Can be disrespectful, especially over email. Very intense during lectures. Always makes students feel like they are a bother for asking questions or raising concerns. Overall very disappointing attitude and treatment of many students. Definitely not like the other kind professors at RVCC.
Overall she wasn't a terrible professor, I took the online macroeconomics and as an online class it was a joke. One assignment a week, a discussion question, and a homework problem. the midterm took me maybe 20 minutes and the final maybe 30 minutes.
I received a 93 in the class and got a B. Prof uses her own grading system, you need a 94 or above to get an A. I nor anyone I know has had a professor at RVCC that does the same. My 4.0 is ruined because I got a 93 in a class that has nothing to do with my major and I was taking just for the credits.
- Very willing to answer questions - Respectful of your time - Comprehensive and digestible lectures - Not strict - Replies quick - Not flexible with grading - Lectures are very important (New information every lecture) - Textbook not paramount
Professor Lindemann's class was a mixed bag. While some found her lectures helpful, others felt she lacked flexibility and approachability. Unstuck AI proved a useful study aid to supplement the textbook.
ECON101 Online. Does not offer accommodations. Every other professor was willing and very receptive to finding a compromise to accommodate, Prof Lindemann was not. Treated it like it was a hassle. Based off her reviews, I don't think it would've been difficult for her to provide a few assignments ahead of when she was going to release them.
You can only use her work and whatever she explains at class, any information from other sources is incorrect from her point of view. Lectures are boring and she is very strict when it comes to grading both homework and exams. Wouldn't recommend taking any economics class with her at all.
She didn't teach very straightforward and her notes weren't good
So rude, don't buy the textbook it won't help you. If you use the textbook and you answer a question on the exams with that information she won't mark it correct because it wasn't in her words. Can't use any outside resources.
honestly wouldn't recommend too much lecture. never passed an exam because if what you write is not in her words it's WRONG. you only have a few assignments to do which are out of 10 points and if you dont get the full 10 your grade is dropping. she also goes from a point system i dont undertand. exams are also majority of your grade!
Dont take her, even if shes the only professor left. If you dont write her exact words its wrong since shes so entitled. She tries to act all sweet but the second you ask her for something she throws a fit like a 5th grader and gives you attitude.
Do not take her! Really bad at explaining and has an attitude towards the class. Every class you'll notice less and less people.
I had her for business law and i'm mixed. On one hand she wasn't a bad professor by any means, but I know that I definitely could've gotten a better grade if she was less strict. I think she's a very tough grader and you may be better elsewhere as homework and tests alone are worth half of your entire grade.
She is very difficult to take. Expect low homework grades. She's pretty unhelpful and doesn't offer a lot outside of class.
her lectures are extremely boring and she coughs into the mic/clears her throat in half the video, she speaks extremely slow and does not talk about any relevance that is on the exams. she is rude in responses to emails, her exams are heavily weighted, she offers no support. if you do not follow the rubric exactly she will give you a 3/8.
This teacher was one of the worst. I am usually an A student but she made her class so difficult. There is only around 10 things in the grade book, 3 of which are tests. No multiple choice only free response on all assignments and tests. Your answers have to be exactly what she says word for word or else it will be marked wrong. Don't take her.
i just wanted to say this course was not worth taking, very harsh grader and not willing to help you out. if you have to take macro at raritan valley community college take literally any other professor besides her.
While she's a good public speaker, she feels very out of touch. She's not very open to talking outside of lecture, plus she's an extremely harsh grader. Rephrasing anything loses you points, which makes the exams (all open-ended by the way) extremely difficult. To pass, you really need to drill EVERY, and I mean EVERYTHING she says into your head.
