Very nice teacher, easy to understand and willing to repeat herself till you understand. Go to all classes and do homework and you will do fine.

Great teacher. Will help and help you until you understand, if you will just ask her. Understands that most people taking her class are not there because they enjoy accounting. If I had to take another accounting class, I would take her in a second. She emails outlines and study guides, and tells you what problems to study for the test.

She is very nice. She likes to tell random stories about her family (sometimes they aren't funny but laugh anyway). She tells a lot of accounting humor (again sometimes not funny). She can't add without a calculator(she'll tell you that herself). Her tests are hard if you don't study, attend class, and do the homework.

In my opinion she is the best teacher that South Alabama has. She will help you until you completely understand the work. She is fair at grading. You can tell that she enjoys teaching very much.

She is the best teacher I have ever taken at South. She is crystal clear. She is the type of teacher that if you don't like accounting you will once you take her class. I plan on taking her for ACC 451 next fall if she is teaching it. A+++++++++ for Mrs. Madden please take her she is great :)

Great Teacher, made an A. tells what problems to look at before each test and the problems on the test are exactly like the ones you study. Couldn't be simpler. Textbook is necessary, and i would recommend going to the accounting tutoring lab if you need help. Mrs. Madden was very sweet and learned everyone's name. Very personable.

I love Mrs. Madden!! I wish she taught 212! She is so nice, and easy to take at eight in the morning. She is very laid back and doesn't stress you out. She's a little nerdy (but way cool) and she embraces it, that's what makes her so great! Take her if you have the chance!

Super duper nice and helpful. Actually looked forward to going to class and talking with Mrs Madden. Exams were split into 2 days. 1st day was multiple choice and 2nd day was short answer/essay. Gives a good study guide outline though so good grades are attainable. Had a few papers, a project or two, and regular homework but nothing too difficult

Very nice lady. Her humor is a little dry but you can't help but laugh cuz she's so nice. Not many notes or HW. If you do have HW, the problems are extremely long. She usually only takes HW up one time a week. Tests are fair and you can learn a lot in this class if you try. She is really helpful if you ask her questions and works better 1 on 1

she was great she is helpful I got D in her class but it was my bad her exams were easy comparing with other teachers, but the bad is if you really want to understand the Accounting language you should take with other professor who explains very well.

Nicest professor! Knows how to explain things well. Attendance is not required but if you want a good grade, go. Assigns a few homework problems from book. Online notes and slides that help a ton. Study guides for every test. Review sessions before every test, including final.

She's one of the nicest teachers I've met so far at U.S.A. when it comes to caring about her students. When it comes to the class show up, actively listen, do the homework, and ask questions when you're lost. The first 3-4 weeks of class material are crucial to the entire course so make sure you know it!

Mrs. Madden is a great teacher. She is very helpful. The class is a fair assessment of what you know but she makes it easy. She doesn't try and trick you, she lays out everything you need to know for the exams.

Dr. Madden is so wonderful I signed up for her next semester. Accounting is no joke, but she really tries to make light of it! She breaks down concepts and is truly concerned about your success. I stress that you attend class, though. The material isn't something you can brush off. She's wonderful but accounting needs your effort for an A!

I changed my major because of Mrs. Madden. She is my favorite professor at South. Accounting is a hard subject but she explains everything. If you have questions email her (quick replier) or go to her office hours. She is sweet but not a push-over. It is her classroom and her rules. She hates when people are tardy!!

Dr. Madden is the bomb. Accounting is not my major, but I was required to take it and thanks to Dr. Madden, I made it through. I specifically made sure to take her again for 212 once I finished 211 with her. She's spunky, funny, and knows her stuff. Show up to class, ask questions, take good notes, you'll be fine.

Dr. Madden is very helpful and knows every question you can ask her. Very sweet and funny. You have 350 points total- 300 from tests (100 each), 30 from quizzes (10 each), and 20 from homework which she'll tell you which one she's collecting. The tests are just like the homework problems and go to exam reviews because she'll go over the test

Its very important you go to class and hear her lectures because she helps her students to understand the material. Tests can be very difficult if you don't read and go to class

Very good teacher. She's there when you need help and makes things as easy as she can. With that said, the class is still hard. Textbook is essential and attendance is not an option. MUST show up. She gives a few EC points each test, and there is a tutoring lab.

I absolutely hate accounting but I would take Madden again. She makes this boring class actually enjoyable. Her tests are tough, but if you do your homework (which isn't mandatory) then you should be prepared for the test. She also doesn't give pointless work and her review days before the test are well worth the time.

Really cares about her work. It's not an easy class but you can get an A if you really work for it. Pay attention, it's easy to fall behind in accounting since it builds on itself. Tests aren't easy but if you review her outlines and the Wiley plus problems then you'll do fine.

One of the best professors I've had in the department, if you go to class. Pay attention to the ppt lectures, take good notes, and do the homework you'll do well. She's great at explaining, actually listens to feedback, and answers any questions you'd have. Accounting is by no means an easy class, but you'll have your best shot with Madden.

Dr. Madden is the teacher everyone wants to take for ACC211. She flat out tells you what will be on the test, and teaches the easy way to do things. I recommend her to anyone without question. If you are not majoring in accounting she is still an awesome choice for your entry level accounting classes. My attendance was iffy at best & I made a B.

She moves so quickly during lectures that it can be hard to keep up and she rarely slows down to answer questions, but she is definitely willing to slow down to help outside of class. Very experienced, and knows what aspects of the class people tend to struggle with and is prepared to address them.

She's a great teacher, will help you with anything especially if you're confused about something. Gives out study guides which really helps for studying for the test, she'll also go over the study guide to make sure everything is clear. Homework is through this online platform and are helps alot when studying for the tests.

Professor Madden was by far the best professor I have ever had since I have been here at South. She gave us a total of 25 bonus points throughout the semester and she curved some of our exams. You will definitely need to work for a good grade in this class, but she teaches the material so well. TAKE HER!!

If you attend class, you will have no problem succeeding in this class because she gives plenty of extra practice to make sure you can do on your own what you learned in the lecture! I got a 107% in this class by the end of the year she is a great teacher. Super nice and basically tells you what is on the tests. Tests are curved.

Dr. Madden is an AMAZING professor! I was nervous about financial accounting, it sounded hard, but I passed with an A. Her tests are not really that bad if you are spending time practicing the material. She also really cares about her students so don't hesitate to reach out to her if you are struggling. The tutors were a great resource aswell!

Make sure to not fall behind, because that knocked me back a little bit. I recommend watching each lecture as they get released so as to be up to date.
