The class itself isn't hard. The tests are decent if you use the study guide (which you should be thankful to have) and the paper could be worse. Pasternack's a nutcase for sure, and he does go off-topic sometimes, but class is always interesting. He's anti-religion, but nobody said you HAVE to listen to him. Overall, recommended.

Awesome professor, great lectures. If you are close minded, don't take him. He does not bash America or religion, as other dopey students claim.

If you're not into radical ideas and conspiracy theories, avoid him like the plague. Use the study guides wisely, that's all you need to know for the tests. Learn how to get the info you NEED from lecture: most of what he covers isn't useful for the tests.

hes an okay teacher, hang on to your study guide because he doesnt give reviews so your on your own. you need 2 textbooks - one for the tests and one for an insane paper - lectures are uselss.

It's college, people. You need to do the work. As long as you use the study guide, an A is a completely reasonable grade. Pasternack is probably the most fun prof I've taken.

Professor was really good, yes you got to study hard for his exams but the review guide is very helpful. Prof. makes class interseting and professor is really easy-going. I recommend him

Pasternack is okay. I took him twice. His class is tough but that's why its called COLLEGE people. There are only 4 parts to your grade (Midterm 2nd exam paper and final) all equal 25%. The paper is pretty intense but I got an A on it so it can't be so bad if alot of people get A's. Take him if you are willing to study for the tests. No homework

He is HORRIBLE!try to avoid him, trust me. doing the study guide is the ONLY way you are going to be able to pass his tests. The paper is just annoying, but it's not that hard to do..Don't state your opinion in class you'll be sorry, I was.don't disagree about his "9/11 theory" he'll go off on you and attack your opinion telling you that youre wrong

Religious students need not apply, but u really should open your mind! Parsnip is the man and says what u wont hear elsewhere: about "women, Africans, and homosexuals". Tests r so easy if u do the study guides (which are long). The paper seems scary, but is easy if u figure out the secret 2 an A. Take lots of notes & maybe rewrite them w/an index.

Prof. Pasternack is interesting. Class is relatively easy, just use the study guide. The term paper ditto, follow the instructions to a t and you will get at least a B. Lecture is fun. He engages you if you are willing to be engaged. Very good sense of humor, and very entertaining. Recommend.

Loves the subject, will keep you interested. Will pick out favorites in the class if you are willing to participate. Makes class fun. Lectures every class. Attendance needed to do well on tests. Study guide is long but is extremely helpful. Paper sucks at first but it is easy once you realize the format.

WOW! What was that? Be ready to memorize millions of name and get ready to learn things from a completely new perspective that you will only hear from this professor. His lectures are boring and the test are not based on the lectures as he wants you to think. Study the study guide and you should be OK.

Has the most antiquated teaching style. Talks for 2 hrs straight. Biased when it comes to religion. Believes in conspiracy theories about 9/11, Pres Obama, and just about anything else you can think of. Study Guide is useful but his tests are very tricky and only 1 or 2 students got As. Have 2 take USII next semester but Im avoiding him.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, he lectures the whole time, is a "conspiracy theorist," assigns a long paper, and has pretty astute multiple choice questions...but he is a great professor, class is fun, he loves to teach and cares about his students. Engaging and thought provoking. I wouldn't recommend him to slackers, but he is a great teacher.
