Hes a nut! Hell educate you though. If you're touchy about religion. Dont take him though.

If u put time into the class it's easy. You also have to be prepared to take A LOT of notes. Other than being a bit on the crazy side he's a really good prof.

easy professor, i dont know why people find him hard because if you study from his guide you will get at least a b in his class, but the only that throws students off is the paper.

His is a nice guy but a little strange. Has the most annoying laugh I've ever heard. He's into religion and questioning people's beliefs. You take like 9 pages of notes per class. Follow the study guide and you will get an A. Easy grader on term paper.

I have Professor Pasternack this semester and I think he's great. He is a nice, funny man and he jokes around with his students. He is also very helpful if you ask him about heatlh questions and he will go out of his way to help you with a problem.Go P!

on the contrary, his assignments are ridiculouly easy. so is the research paper. take him if u like to make fun of people esp religions. PLUS he gives u study guides the first day of class. If you get the study guides, youll get at least a B on the tests.

How is he so horrible if he opens your mind up to different things and makes you think. Yea, he talks about aliens, but he cites proof from other historians. AND HE DOESNT CLAIM THERE IS ALIENS. The people that said that didnt pay attention in class. He provided the class with various theories.

he is an ok teacher. But half of the time he makes sense. The other half I love him. I have a problem with the class when we have to read the bible everyday, and when he rants about aliens in the govt, but wont contemplate the existance of god. Not as bad as everyone says he is though

Pasternacks class is awesome. You can really enjoy it if you have an open mind. The tests arent that hard if you are willing to work hard to study for them. When I say working hard I mean studying exactly what he tells you to which is on the test. His paper is rough but do-able. Class if alot of fun

Pasternack says half of the things he does not because he wants you to believe him but because he wants you to challenge him and actually think outside the box for once.

before taking this class i HATED history and its a requirement. his exam ?'s come RIGHT from the study guide and just follow the directions for the paper and you will get an A!! he is very helpful esp. when it came to the study guide..definitly take him..hes AWESOME and aww hes so cute =)

All he does is preach left wing liberal propaganda and nutrition advice. If you're into hearing about how great liberal buttwipes are, then take his class. If you wanna learn how to eat right, then take his class. If you wanna learn history, don't waste your money. He doesn't teach history.

this professor was very entertaining there is alot of note taking in his class but it helps out when it come s to exams and the study guides that he gives are very helpful i took him for his122 and i passed you learn alot but does have his own veiws on politics if people can put that aside he teaches with passion to the class always on time.

He's a nice guy. His class is all lecture. He gives a paper which is pretty easy although it's a pain to do. He gave us three tests and gave study guides to each of them. The study guides take a while to do but they help A LOT and they're the only reason I ever opened the textbook. Not the easiest, but definately passable.

very fun and entertaining...his lectures drag on a little bit but overall a nice guy who helps when needed...his study guides are basically exact replicas of the test...his 8-10 page paper is easy, just write it in the form he wants, even if ur info isnt great ull do fine....oh yeah, dont drink poland spring water in his class, he hates that!

Definitely one of the most enjoyable profs I've had. Funny guy with all his conspiracy theories. Such an easy class, though. His study guides practically give you the answers for the tests. The paper is really easy, too.

this professor is the greatest history professor at middlesex county college. he is very informative and the study guides he gives are hard but helpful for the tests very easy going professor easy to talk to and liberal has his own views but teaches with passion i highly recommend him to anyone who wants to know about history.

Ok, if you are Christian, you might have some problems standing him. I always had my own opininon about the things he claimed were facts, but I JUST LOVED this guy!!! You can hate him one day and adore the other. Too bad he's much older than me... :)If you do the term paper and study carefully for the exams using his study guides, you'll be fine.

Very easy. Interesting subjects and is not one of those dull professors where all the information is from the whitewashed textbook. He could have spent more time on Native American and women's perspectives though.

He's an best teacher eveeer. I took his class and i enjoyed it more than ever. I strongly suggest him as a professor to anuone who wants a fun class. His essay is easy as long as u follow tha format word for word. Relax, don't worry you'll get an A for sure.

Professor Pasternack gets a bad rep because he is VERY opinionated. However, he is a great professor. He really cares about your success and will do whatever he can to help you as long as you put the work in. His paper is a breeze as long as you follow the guidelines and he provides extensive review sheets for his tests! Highly recommended!! :)

Pasternack is the man! Even though I only had a C I thought he was great and very funny and his grading scale is awesome. His paper is a pain but easy to do and he gives study guides which are almost the same exact replica is the test. He tends to do way off topic sometimes and talk about the vitamin shop and sky gods but he makes it interesting

I agree with the previous comment. He's a the man! He's only offensive to those who still believe in Santa, The Easter Bunny and The Tooth Fairy...oh, and "Sky God". Alot of people give professor Pasternack a bad reputation because he is very opinionated, but the truth be told he is an excellent professor. Even if you don't like to hear what his opinions are - he is very thorough. He is the most accomodating professor I've had, and his tests are straight from his study guide. Take Pasternack!

Most knowledgeable prof i ever had...will rip into ur religion and put down a lot of ur beliefs and ur "sky god" but backs up everything he says with sources...very controversial at times...extremely funny if ur interested in history...very random at times, but good for a laugh...tests are easy as is the paper

He's really opinionated. he's really funny though. For my major I had to take his class. The only thing I didn't like was writing a paper that he wanted 10 pages long. (It's really not that hard. Just BS) Kinda picks on the same students alot, but he's really funny. "...Next Time!" is what you'll hear alot when he's done witb a lecture for the day.

A very strong professor--very controversial, but fair. Gives proper due to forgotten figures in history that often just happen to be black or female and often get left out of text books. I'm taking him for U.S. History 1 and already registered for U.S. History 2 with him. He's an absolute nutcase, but he's also probably one of the best history teachers I've ever taken. He will go on about how Christianity is wrong to worship their "Sky-God" but will still take off for Jewish holidays. He knows his stuff and is pretty funny also.

I love Pasternack! He is so smart and funny, study guides are right from the test. If you dont know something go to library he helps you. Dont knock what he says about things hes normally right. I took him for that reason. I'm gonna miss his class.

Very "out-there" but also very knowledgable. He is a conspiracy-theory believer, but draws you in and has evidence to back up his beliefs. He is extremely helpful and you can go to him whenever you want for assistance. The paper, although it seems daunting, is actually very easy, providing you do the readings required.

Pasternack is one of the best teachers at MCC, he gives you the Questions to all the tests in his study guide. And some note. most of the notes that he gives arent on the test. He laughs funny, good sense of humor. For the term paper you can totally bs a lot of it, as long as you follow directions, youll get an A. Worth taking this class

He is a great teacher. He gives you a study guide, which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to fail. His term paper is set up for you, just fill in info. He's not too out there nor is he ignorant about his beliefs and he loves a good discussion. His 3 tests and paper are 25% each but at a 4 yr school you usually only get a midterm and final so get used to it!

Pasternack is probably the best History teacher I've ever had. He's definitely the best at Middlesex. He makes you think about your answers instead of just memorizing boring history facts. He presents history in a TRUE light rather than everything you're used to. A lil controversial sometimes. But he backs everything up with facts. LOVED HIS CLASS.

I wish MCC was a four-year school so I could take more of his classes. I graduated last May having only taken him twice, but I would take him for every History class for the rest of my college career if I could. His study guide essentially gives you the answers to his tests and the paper is easy if you follow is instructions.

The class itself isn't hard. The tests are decent if you use the study guide (which you should be thankful to have) and the paper could be worse. Pasternack's a nutcase for sure, and he does go off-topic sometimes, but class is always interesting. He's anti-religion, but nobody said you HAVE to listen to him. Overall, recommended.

It's college, people. You need to do the work. As long as you use the study guide, an A is a completely reasonable grade. Pasternack is probably the most fun prof I've taken.

Pasternack is okay. I took him twice. His class is tough but that's why its called COLLEGE people. There are only 4 parts to your grade (Midterm 2nd exam paper and final) all equal 25%. The paper is pretty intense but I got an A on it so it can't be so bad if alot of people get A's. Take him if you are willing to study for the tests. No homework

Religious students need not apply, but u really should open your mind! Parsnip is the man and says what u wont hear elsewhere: about "women, Africans, and homosexuals". Tests r so easy if u do the study guides (which are long). The paper seems scary, but is easy if u figure out the secret 2 an A. Take lots of notes & maybe rewrite them w/an index.

Prof. Pasternack is interesting. Class is relatively easy, just use the study guide. The term paper ditto, follow the instructions to a t and you will get at least a B. Lecture is fun. He engages you if you are willing to be engaged. Very good sense of humor, and very entertaining. Recommend.

Loves the subject, will keep you interested. Will pick out favorites in the class if you are willing to participate. Makes class fun. Lectures every class. Attendance needed to do well on tests. Study guide is long but is extremely helpful. Paper sucks at first but it is easy once you realize the format.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, he lectures the whole time, is a "conspiracy theorist," assigns a long paper, and has pretty astute multiple choice questions...but he is a great professor, class is fun, he loves to teach and cares about his students. Engaging and thought provoking. I wouldn't recommend him to slackers, but he is a great teacher.

I attended Elliot's class back in '85, and he was the most interesting and unique Professor I had ever met. Don't take his class if you don't like to be challenged or think outside the box.

Took this professor in 1996. I still think about all that I learned in a 3 credit class he taught. Life changing. AWESOME

Inspired me to do additional reading beyond the class. Loved his mind and depth of knowledge. One of my favorite professors ever.
