He's kind of boring but he really knows what he is talking about.
mult choice tests, curves, boring in class
Nice guy, knows wat he's doing
he's awesome! and a very nice person too!
HE'S ALRIGHT. I MADE A GOOD CHOICE PICKING HIM FOR BUS 151
No Comments
sweet guy, curves like crazy, got a b+ and never bought the book
reads from slides...easy grader..boring
Nicest teachers ever, EASY A, Test are straight from slides, NO BOOK NECESSARY
Everything is group work, if ur group sucks, so will ur grade for the class.
Boreing prof, but know what he is talking about very helpfull, take him !
he is a really nice guy can b a bit boring but easy class
good teacher but TERRIBLE GRADER! he marks you based on other peoples work, group project messes up your grade
GROUP PROJECT IS TORTURE!!! but hes nice but bve prepared to WORK LIKE A DOG!!!
a bit boring...so-so quiz....must study though...group work is ok.....fair grader
group projects are stupid and really unfair
Too much work for a core course that should be easy.
GROUP PROJECT IS A TERRIBLE IDEA!! WHOEVER TAKES THIS CLASS...GOOD LUCK!!
He is brilliant. Great teacher, only those who are lazy would call him otherwise. Very high curve, and you will do well if you study for exams. He doesnt just give u a grade based on group work.
hes cool, although sometimes i think he plays favorites, grades on a great curve, i got a 52 and it was a c, i felt like a genius, group work isnt that bad but this class requires a lot of ur time, lectures can be a bit boring but atleast its useful info
Malki is a decent teacher. he knows what he's talking about and really cares that you get the info too. His midterm was hard but if you studied you did fine.Class does take up time and lots of work, if you love business, take him.
hate him! is educated and has experience but too much damn work and he has his favorites. ALL STUDENTZ ARE EQUAL!!! even if u raise your hand and the favorite doesnt, he'll call on the favorite, not u. hate him!!!
I agree. If he doesn't know your name, he won't call on you even though you are raising your hand. Exams are kind of hard. His lectures are also very boring and everyone will fall asleep since he won't call on 90% of the class. Why bother, you know.

he's so chill, this class is a breeze, all u gotta do is some bs group game and then give some group presentation and summarize an article for a paper, he makes it so easy oh and did i mention that amazing curve he grades on?? :)
No homework. Just some projects. I entered the class 5 wks late and was real easy to catch up. Got an A. Just take notes and review and you'll do fine.
He def has favs mostly girls and even if u raise your hands he will pick on his favs no matter what. There no point of even having participation if he wont pick on you. Theres no point of even goin to class becuase he doesnt know your name anyway.
he is a good prof very helpful and very passionate about the subject. and an easy grader. I do agree he does like girls but who doesnt
GREAT PROFESSOR, INTERESTING CLASSES. CARES ALOT ABOUT STUDENTS.
Totally unfair. He has favorites and only likes them which is such garbage.
has favorites. loves it when people suck up to him. very unfair. doesn't give back anything you give him. won't email you back if you ask for your grades.
dont listen to other reviews. does not have favorites, he can tell when people dont work and arent interested and he wont care for those students. excellent professor, study for the tests (he curves) and participate in class. very clear and informative. definitely recommend.
Great teacher, knows his stuff..Will teach you alot, and ask you to read like 5-7 chapters for the semester, everything is easy and clearly laid out..
He's great...curves on tests, gives a chance for extra credit. Be prepared for alot of work at the end though. Other then that just get on his good side and youll do fine.
Overall. Good Professor. Although be prepared to do a lot of work at the end of the semester. Study for the tests, and you should do fine. Oh and be prepared for him to interupt you doing your presentations
He does not curve(maybe in opposite direction). His B+ was 96-99 on the tests. He is boring during lectures.
I think this class requires way to much work for an intro to business. Malki is nice though and I thik helpful. I failed the final and got a C on the midterm and still ended up with a B in the class which is awesome. I would recommend him esp if ur interested in business
Didn't like the way this guy taught. He goes too fast and his exams are extermely hard. He also has favorites in the class which makes him biased. Be prepared for him to interupt you when you make your presentation. Some groups had bad presentations but were complimented because they were his favorite students. If he likes u, u get a good grade.
for those who left bad reviews on this pro must be an idiot. malki is soo nice and will help you if u need it. a sweet man. yes he will interupt u during ur presentation but u can tell him in advance to save all the comments for the end. all bus 150 classes are the same amount of work.midterm, paper, group work and final.gives many chances to do good
awesome professor, cool French dude that teaches you the basics of your business education. If you can't handle him then maybe you need to reassess your career goals. And he's very clear on what he wants out of papers and especially presentations, follow his guidelines and you won't think he plays favorites.
A nice guy but that's NOT going to help u pass his class. Has favorites in the class. Has a sheet that he passes around for those who participates. Didn't seem to find that as a good teaching skill becasue people did say things but never asked them to put their names on it. Didn't like the teaching style.
the class was easy at the beg. of the semester, but he gives out all the projects at the busiest time which is the end of the semester which all students are concerning the finals.
he is really not an easy teacher. His review sheet for midterm and finals are not on it. You have to study the whole book. The exams are only 25 questions and he gives us(students) 9 chapters to remember. Some of the definitions in review sheet weren't on the exam. I was pissed off he needs to be focus and cut down the guidelines. ALSO HE DOES N
This class isn't to hard, just lot of work. I though he was killing us with work until i found out all bus150 students have to do a similar final project, ours was the easiest compared to other classes. Serisouly, it'll seem like a lot, but its less then what everyone else has to do, tests are fairly hard, but he gives and excellent curve. 65 = B+
The class was easy and straight forward. I do not like his grading system for the group projects but other than that he was very fair.
he give extra credit if you participate in class, theres a midterm and final based on slides and some text.. theres a class presentation at the end of the semester. he's a great business prof! i recommend him!
Easy class overall. There is a midterm, final, group report, group presentation and an individual paper. If everyone in your group pulls their weight it is really not that bad. Focus on the things he said in the exam outlines and just skim through other things. Use the ppts & text. Class is mandatory (he keeps track).
For the first week or so of class I like Prof. Malki but soon after I began to dislike him. I am quite adept in the material of the course and found the tests to be quite difficult in the sense that a large proportion of the questions are about topics that were not discussed at all in class. 3 projects all dues within a week of eachother???HAHA
Intelligent, he knows his stuff. READ,,,READ,,READ. Buy the textbook. GOOO TO CLASS, participate,,,but make sense do not answer if you do not know the material. Be prepared, when he give you a review for your tests...study. READ the NY TIMES....do not kiss Bu** he notices. clever.
got an A- in the class. thought i'd get a B or less. malki is a good professor. his grading system is a lil weird (if ur class is stupid - you're lucky; he curves like crazy). tests are a lil hard (a lot of true & false) though he does give good reviews so make sure you there & paying attention. overall, i was pleased with the class. recommend! :)
Honestly, one of the best professors I've had in a while. He is really passionate about business and knows his stuff! No way you can B.S. your way through the class. Go to class because there are some days where he takes points off for not attending. I learned so much in this class!
Great Guy. He will expect you to show up to most of the classes, but he will make Bussiness fun. Highly recomended.
Prof. Malki is very knowledgeable in his field. Attendance is required. The final grade is based solely on the midterm, the final, and your progress of a business game (BizCafe). Make sure to meet his expectations for the course and you will do well.
Great Professor!! Very interesting class. Biz Cafe was really beneficial. As long as you work hard, put forth effort, and participate, you will do extremely well!!
TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
TAKE THIS CLASS. If your a devoted business-major and interested in actually learning then you must take him! He really cares about each and every one of his students. One of the best teachers I have ever had. very inspirational.
He is a very nice man, and his class is actually pretty interesting. He does give you a review before the midterm and final, but they can be very misleading, causing you to not do so well on them. However he gives other opportunities to do well, and as long as you show him your trying, you should be fine.
He is probably one of the most dedicated professors I've ever had. If your really in it for business take this class and pay attention. He knows what he's talking about and has a lot of experience, but you need to but just as much effort in.
He is a great person. He give you review outline and just study it you will do find with your test. Not really hard. Spend sometimes reading and everything will be fine :D
I highly recommend prof. Malki. He is very intelligent and knowledgeable. Before exams, he gives you are review sheet and tells you exactly what will be on exams. Carefully study the review sheet and you will do well. Fair grader. Easy A.
AMAZING! So smart and qualified, Malki knows so many aspects of business and teaches them SO WELL. Tests are hard, but he's a fair grader, they're also curved a little!
Great professor. Knows a lot about business and very knowledgable. He will even tell you he owned a couple of businesses. You have to take down your own notes which requires listening to him as he speaks. Also reading the book helps.Exams are a little difficult but studying helps a lot.BizCafe was really fun and it shows you how to maintain a business
Good Professor, helpful and a great guy overall.
Hi is helpful
THE BEST. Professor Malki is the most intelligent and helpful professor I've had so far. You learn so much in his class you will not regret taking him. His work is not easy but it's so worth it. He is just amazing i love him!!
The professor is very nice. He is always willing to help. BUT there is a lot of work: stat research, individ report, team report, research paper, and other tasks that u have to do together with Bizcafe. His tests r very tricky. He doesnt bring ur papers and tests back so u dont know if he really grades them and how -weird. Thou curves A LOT!
Malki was super kind and tried to help but he really does try and trick you on his tests. No one ever did incredibly well and theres a lot of work but in the end I got an A so i guess he curves pretty well.
Going into Malki's class, I was an undecided business major. Coming out I'm still undecided. He's very tough, tests are tricky, gives a lot of work, but does curve nicely. I put in so much work for this class and still received a B. And even with all of the work I didn't learn much. He's a nice guy, I'm not disputing that but I wouldn't recommend.
He's nice an all but he's bad. His lecture are boring and he gets of topic so it easy to get lost in his class. The only work you do is BizCafe and a lil paper. He only gives two exams which he never returns and he doesn't give you the grade. Lol literally watched nextflix in his class and got a B so he CURVES A LOT and i didnt even buy the book.
I found this class quite helpful. He is clear with what he explains and if you are really interested in the business world, you'll find this class quite satisfactory. He is a good professor. If you don't mind some hard work and dedication, this is the class for you.
Great Professor. NOT an Easy A, but if you're looking to learn principles that you can apply to your professional career in business, take this man. Extremely helpful and clear. Study for the exams and you'll be good.
Professor Malki is the guy to take if you are serious about the Subject. He is fun and has a practical approach to the Subject.
Amazing professor! He is very nice and is always willing to help if you show the slightest of effort and interest in assignments. He curves a lot so don't worry about the midterm and final
Smart and sophisticated, yes you can learn a lot from him, but he's not easy. He expects you to know everything, marketing, accounting, finance etc. Avoid if you are not truly interested in business, or if you are not ready. Picks favorites, I wasn't one of them, biz cafe can be a pain, i did all the work in the group project, ended up with a B-
Very enthusiastic. Amazing teacher. I know a lot of people find him hard but personally i think thats just because they don't try at all. He's awesome. I learned so much and he inspired me to pursue an MBA
so hard. he requires so much!!!!!
He easily related real life topics to what we were covering in class. Bizcafe was a fun group project and was the bulk of the work for the class. I felt that I studied harder for his midtermfinal than all my exams combined and I still got a bad grade. PARTICIPATE and do EC and your grade will be cushioned from his tough grading.
This guy was my beacon of hope freshman year. If he likes you you're golden. My advice is to smile and nod your head during his lectures. Also play biz cafe early in the semester before you start the project he'll love you. He's harsh on the group presentation but honestly it's for your best interest. Learned a lot from him. Even wrote me a rec.
Great professor but overwhelms you with a highe amount of material that you will be responsible for on the midterm and final. Does not put anything into the gradebook. Picks favorites. It's an intro class but he makes it very hard. Gets so boring. I'd reccomend taking an easier professor.
I absolutely loved Professor Malki! He is my favorite professor so far! He is incredibly helpful and even though his class is not easy if you show you care about your grade throughout the semester, work hard and participate you're golden.
I enjoyed the class, but be-prepared only copy down what the slide is about and then type or write what ever comes out of his mouth DONT worry too much about the slides because it will be in your text book. I wish I knew to do that. Also participate as much as you can. He likes to jump around when he talks going from one topic to the next.
Malki is such an amazing professor. People only complain about the class because they don't want to put work in. There IS a lot of info, but he teaches it well, and the book is there for further understanding. He gives so many extra credit opportunities and they will help you if you're struggling. Just take notes when he lectures and pay attention.
He's a nice guy but does not know how to teach. He's a tough grader for everything. Good luck on the paper because he cannot explain the grading criteria for his life and you'll get a low grade even if he says its a good paper. Tests are all short answer / definitions. STUDY STUDY STUDY. His only saving grace is extra credit that's worth a lot.
dude is a terrible professor. all he does is talk all class throwing info at you. There were no tests except the midterm and final. He makes the class unbearable.
Professor Malki expects a lot from students even though this is an introductory course. If you are in the honors course, be ready to work harder than other classes. He does not have clear grading criteria and his exams are very difficult. He feels the material is very easy so he doesn't take enough time to explain anything in depth.
It's very difficult to get good grade in his class. He gives a lot to read and participation matters. He puts in a lot of effort too.
Very sweet man who actually cares about his students and wants to see everyone succeed. He offers a lot of extra credit and favors everyone who participates and gets to know him.
Malki gives lots of self-led learning -- homework assignments to learn a chapter on your own, or a topic not covered in class, that you absolutely have to do because they will be on the tests. He's not bad, but very dry.
