Elliott was an awesome instructor!! I took his summer CIS105 class, and would recommend it to everyone. He gave in class time to work on projects, was always available to help, and encouraged you to have fun!! The class is a lot of self discipline, but as long as you do what he says, there is NO reason to get anything less than an A in his class!

I just finished this class for Summer session, He is amazing, helpful, attentive and understanding. I will say this though, if your not willing to do homework you will not do well. He warns, "you can give me excuses but on the last day I will give you your grade." its true, but he is funny and the class is fun. I give him high recomondations.

SUPER easy class. Due dates are more than reasonable and he's way fun. You can contact him any time and he responds quickly. He does a lot of the assignments in class, so keeping up with homework is a breeze.

Basically it's an online class. He just does MyITlab stuff and canvas quizzes. The benefit of coming to class is he goes through all the workshops step by step. He doesn't really teach that much though. It's just a super easy class to get an A. He's a believer in "self teaching."

Elliott is smart, funny, and very organized. He makes a hard class very easy. This is the 2nd time I had to take this and he made it seem so easy. I want to take every class with him!

This was a hybrid class, so we had only one class session/week. Professor Cherner was available virtually every day of the week and was routinely extremely generous with his time, support, and concern. His main concern was that students actually learned how to do Adobe Flash, and so he was very lenient as to accepting late work.

Professor Cherner made a hard class very easy. Even though this was an online course, he was always available in his office for me. I will defianately take more of his classes.

I took him about a year ago before the system changed for CIS105. However, he is really helpful and walked through assignments with the entire class. He answered all of my questions and was extremely respectful. I would definitely recommend him, just make sure to do your work and attend class. It may be boring, but you'll get the help you need.

Elliot is a real gem; he prefers if you call him by his first name. Please take Java before taking this course; it was insanely difficult for me with only CIS 105. YouTube, office hours, and meeting up with classmates is highly suggested. You can learn a ton from your classmates and teach them a thing or two which makes projects faster.

Work load is hefty, but work load is not impossible to do. Spends his time making guides for students on how to navigate and use the Microsoft suite. He's clearly passionate about what he teaches and is very caring.

If you need to take IFT301, you must take Dr Cherner. he gives lots of feedback, grades fast, and has compassion. Out of all the professors at ASU he is the best one.
