This professor is really informative when it comes to talking about colleges and how they work. He gave good examples of how to be good with money which is really useful when it's time to go to college.

With the few college professors I have had as a high school student, Professor Coney has definitely been a favorite. He is extremely down to earth, and individually connects to students personally, creating an amazing and comfortable environment to be in. He taught me so much about life. This professor is truly great at what he does. Ive had other professors from colleges, but Professor Coney was not your average professor. He is inspirational, hilarious and always gave great lectures. He doesn't just teach students how to do things, he gives advice and shows you step by step. He motivated me and helped me be prepared college.

Loved Coney! However, if you're not on top of the work, prepare yourself. Though not a lot of hard assignments, definitely give yourself time to thoroughly handle each. Very understanding professor. My first sem was a pleasure.

Counseling 20 class was taken mainly for credits, but was super helpful. Although Dr. Coney does assign too many assignments, they are all relatively simple tasks and arent very time consuming. Being on time on top of your tasks and not procrastinating will help in being successful. VERY generous when it comes to extra credit and late work.

Dr. Coney is very understandable, and when its time to do in assignment he is very specific on what we have to do.

Dr. Coney is a really good profesor. He helps you academically and personally. The assignments he assigns are easy but you should not leave them until last minute. I enjoyed the guest speakers that he brought in and talked to us about their experiences.

Dr. C is an amazing professor and counselor! He is very caring and determined to help his students. The workload is pretty standard but the assignments are very helpful and meaningful. He makes the learning space comfortable and positive while enhancing our knowledge.

For me, he was a decent professor. He does expect you to try your best. I like how he brought speakers in the class which helped us better understand careers. Towards the end, there was multiple major assignments that took a lot of work and time to complete especially since I was a full time student which was overwhelming.

professor coney was one of the best professors i've had. Pretty chill and is very understanding if you ever miss a class, or have a missing assignment. His class is online now due to the pandemic, so class has been kind of difficult. He does however go past the scheduled time class ends, so i suggest having his class as your last class of the day.

This class has been an exploration of my deepest desires for my career. We were shown a website so that we can search different professions. I was introduced to speakers via Ted talk, and actual live zoom meetings with professionals in many of the fields we are seeking. This professor is amazing. This year's course was thrown off by his personal matters. It didn't feel like I completed this class (as far as school content is concerned). But he is a great professor who adequately wants to challenge and help his students in and out of the classroom.

The class is inspirational; you will learn something by the end of the semester! A mix of educational and career learning, but you will also learn about yourself and will gain useful life skills and advice. The class is very end-of-the-semester heavy, as most of the major assignments worth a lot of points are due towards the end of the semester.

I thought Dr.Coney gave great lectures, and he definitely inspired me to be and want better for myself. That being said, I think the workload for his class is not it. For my first time coming back to LAVC he was a lenient professor and very cool. In this class I learned a lot of great things that honestly didn't think I would need for the outside world. Easy class do your work, he's very chill on late homework but definitely recommend anyone that is needing this class.
