He was by far my favorite teacher ever. I hated giving speeches and he makes it much easier. He is very helpful and funny. He was the high light of my day. Its pretty much an easy A if you actually try on your speeches.

A GREAT teacher. So helpful and very funny. I like his way of thinking and he's always open to a lot of discussion and opinions. The exams are pretty forward and easy. You don't even need a book since he goes through all the chapters in class anyways. A easy class and a professor that will keep you entertained!

Definitely makes class a lot of fun!! I looked forward to going to his class for it being a speech class. 10 point quizzes throughout the semester are easy and 4 total speeches and no final or midterm. A lot of my friends with other professors really struggled in this class so if you have the chance to, DEFINITELY TAKE HIM! You won't regret it!!

P-Fisch is the coolest professor I've ever had, he might be gay, but I'm not quite sure. Reminds me a lot of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. If you suck on your speeches he will still give you a good grade. You don't need the textbook really.

After your speech when you go back to your seat, he will ask you how it felt and tell you what you did well. Take him if you can!! I could never speak publicly before his class.

The course is just as scary as any public speaking class, but Elliot is really good at calming the nerves with his sarcastic sense of humor. He's super nice on presentation days and his feedback is always great. He's fabulous.

Awesome guy, gives great feedback on speeches and is super funny. Power points suck but other then that he gets the students involved in the class. Would definitely take him again if I got the chance. If you want to pass the quizzes you have to read!

Fischer was a great teacher! I was nervous about taking a speech class but he made the class more comfortable and was helpful. There are lots of quizzes straight from the book, but they were super easy; some you can do based on your general knowledge but others will actually require reading the book. He's super sassy and funny, I enjoyed his class!

Favorite professor hands down. He is very funny and tells the best stories. There are four speeches and the criteria is very clear, overall a pretty easy grader, just make sure you practice your speeches. He gives a fairly generous 2 minute time frame but for each second after that you're docked one percent. Definitely recommend though!!!

Best COMM111 professor you could get. Speeches are not easy but he teaches through them very well. His quizzes are based off the book. Lectures are almost pointless but he grades your attendance. Only 4 speeches as opposed to 12 for many other professors. Pick him!

Fischer is a super fun, respectful, and hilarious professor. He makes giving speeches less awkward and less stressful if you aren't good at public speaking. The online quizzes were pretty much common sense but the book was useful for the harder questions.

I was really scared of taking a speech class since I hadn't taken one since my sophomore year of high school. He made the atmosphere of the classroom not seem so scary when delivering speeches. Another thing is the rubric for delivering speeches was straightforward, it clearly stated what the expectations were and how your speech would be graded.

One of the best professors I've ever had. The expectations that he sets for his students are reasonable and he clearly states what he wants from you. He is willing to work with you to help you do better. If you put in the effort you will pass with a good grade. I looked forward to having his class because it was so fun and beneficial.

Overall, a very nice and easy professor. I had him for an interim class during the first semester in which we switched to online because of COVID, and he was very understanding and flexible. Only 3 speeches and I believe 10 quizzes that were easy to pass.

He is also very down-to-earth and tries to connect with his students on a personal level. Just a great teacher and a great person overall. Plus he regularly bakes for his students!

As being in his first 7-week class, he warned us as being his guinea pigs; however, he is still very understanding, funny and often handed out treats to the class whenever he was baking. I am still not the biggest fan of speeches after taking his class, but aftera couple speeches, I was very comfortable speaking in front of him.

If you have to go through this, then take Elliott. He is amazing and turned something that I feared into something that I looked forward to. He knows we don't want to do this and made the best of it for us. Got to choose 3 of the 4 topics (the one we didn't was cool to do) so that was really nice compared to other teachers I hear assigning topics.

Honestly I have a lot of mixed feelings about Fischer. He was an easy grader up until the informative speech, which is somewhat expected but I got A LOT of points of for very little things that weren't mentioned ever. I honestly did so much better of that speech than the small ones but he still graded me so harshly. I recommend him but be careful.

Mr. Fischer is a really fun professor. He made the class fun and lighthearted enough to get rid of some of my nerves. There are quizzes for the chapters due at the end of each week. These may make or break your grade, so don't forget them. As long as you show up to class, give your speeches, and participate, you're good to go!
