Made a very difficult course easy to learn and understand.

Dr Lewis was awesome, he is completely willing to help you understand the material, he can have a little attitude every now and then, but he is really an awesome teacher. Tests were moderately difficult, but he gives a lot of chances to build up your grade...If you are taking A&P he is the teacher to get!!!!!

Great teacher. The subject of biology is difficult all by itself but he made it so easy to learn. Just do not show up late or let your cell phone ring! That will be 5 points off your grade

Dr. Lewis is a very good professor and he knows his stuff. he tries to make it easy for the class to learn and he will answer any questions that you need answered. He seems a little rude sometimes with his smart comments but he will make you understand biology. With good study habits and asking plenty of questions you will do good in this class.

Execellent! He really wants to understand the material. His quizzes were exactly what he taught. Although the lecture final was a shocker and didn't feel as though he properly prepared the class for it. It may have been a standard department final not made by him though. I would definitely take him again! A real good guy.

Totally amazing teacher highly recommend you take him. He makes sure you learn what he is teaching even in the summer courses. I truly enjoyed his class. Be ready for the final exam has a little bit of a twist but still related to lessons and reading so read carefully. IF YOU GET A CHANCE TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY I PROMISE....:)

Dr. Lewis is a wonderful teacher. He does his best to insure that the material he presents is understood. He is way more than fair and he is kind hearted but professional. Once you get to know him you will know when he is making jokes. I cant imagine learning biology from anyone else. He is so smart other teachers seem stupid to me.

Great Teacher. Def. a science guy, so not the most personable, but makes class very easy if you follow his lead. Tests are very straight forward and come directly from lecture notes. Highly recommend taking any course with him.

Lewis' grading is fair. Frequent quizzing is a plus, however always a few left field questions on every test. He's a good lecturer, but he does not necessarily teach what's in the book. I was always trying to reconcile what he said with what I read in the book, which was frustrating. He didn't love questions.

Dr. Lewis is a great Professor!! Had him for Bio.109 in 07 and took him again in Spring 09 for Bio. 110. Between every wk. quizzes, presentations, check offs, and midterm exams you would have to be a fool to fail. Come to class, listen, take quizzes, and turn your cell phone off in class a B is likely. Taking a class that he taches is worth it.

Dr. Lewis is the bomb! I had him for bio 109 & 110 and I couldn't have enjoyed myself more than the time I had in his class. No other teacher so far has shown the level of dedication to teaching as does Dr. Lewis. Which is why I will always keep in touch with him.

Somehow Dr. Lewis managed to cover all the required material in the short summer session. He knows Biology inside and out! Very smart man! Doesn't like cell phones, but truthfully I also find them annoying! His tests are straight forward. He will tell you to stop memorizing and start thinking. Best advice I had from a teacher.

I think Dr. Lewis is one of the better professor at CCP. I've thoroughly enjoy my time in his class. His exams were straightforward and you will have a chance to earn extra points. I would highly recommend this professor to anyone. Dr. Lewis will be a professor I would like to remain in contact with in the future.

Dr. Lewis is the best professor I had at CCP. He explains everything, and makes learning a&p fun. He wants you to get it, and he'll help you if you don't. The class is laid out from day 1, and once you catch onto his teaching style, you know exactly what to expect. Great teacher.

I let mines ring once and he turned beet red!! lol If you study, you'll be fine. I almost recv'd an "A", with a full-time job...so it can be done! Weekly quizzes were a pain but helpful in the end!! He is a great professor and he unbelievably covered most of the material. He is very clear with his expectations, makes learning of hard material easier to understand and gives you opportunities to earn extra points. He cares about his students and this is important. i am in the second semester of A &P with dr. lewis. i luckily switched into his 110 class at the very last minute! his weekly quizzes are awesome no huge tests. the finals and midterms are fair and clear. his lab checkoffs are a great tool. if you think he's unfair, you didn't work hard enough. this class made me love science !!!

A&P I. Best teacher I have had by far!Make no mistake, this is not an easy class! Dr. Lewis does everything he can so you can succeed. Straightfoward in expectations. Everything is clearly laid out, he's VERY organized, & he doesn't try to trick you. Stays late & comes early to help. I hope I get him next semester! U should too!

His weekly quizzes can be a little tricky, but mostly easy if you study. His lectures are detailed yet easy to understand, but make sure you study his power points, and your study guide. His Labs were easy, WARNING: Lots of on the spot memorization. He is very ORGANIZED, and crystal clear. You will learn a lot from Dr. Lewis and be prepared for 110! All in all, he is a good teacher, glad I had him for A&P 109. 5??'s

Dr. Lewis is a good teacher. And not because he's easy-because he's not; but because he's fair. If you put in the time and the effort that Bio 110 requires, he gives you the grade you deserve. He also gives you plenty of oppertunity to improve your grade if need be. And most important of all, you actually learn about human anatomy and physiology

The thing that makes Dr. Lewis a great teacher is that he is fair. That's all I ask for in a teacher. I took him for both BIO109 and 110. I did well in both classes but a lot of other people struggled. I don't know why. All you have to do is pay attention in class, and study power points he gives you. No reason anyone should get less than a B.

Great class. Never used the textbook. All the info needed is in powerpoints. Weekly quizzes are great and an A is easily attainable with a little bit of effort. Highly recommended

Tough but fair. You actually have to study there to get a grade and I respect that. He has slight to no tolerance to ignorance and disrespect (which I respect as well). Lectures cover everything that you'd have on weekly quizzes (I recommend voice recording his lectures). Labs have a lot to study in material but hey, that's Anatomy! Thanks Doc!

Great teacher!! The class was hard, but Dr. Lewis took the time to explain things in a way that were easy to understand. Supplemental material that he provides is very helpful. He really cares for the success of his students. If you are not willing to study or work in his class, choose another subject.

Dr. Lewis made Anatomy & Physiology enjoyable. You must earn your grade but Dr. Lewis is there to help you however he can. He even frequently stayed after class to help those struggling. If you are prepared to read and put forth an equal amount of effort as. Dr. Lewis, you will no doubt succeed.

Dr. Lewis cares about whether his students learn or not. He is there to help and will stay after class on many occasions to help students who need the extra help. Quizzes every week. Lots of printouts (buy some refillable ink cartridges - you're going to need them). Will drop lowest quiz grade if you hand in study packet. Very fair.

I've been looking for Dr. Lewis so I can take his Bio 110 class. He was fair and laid all the terms out in the beginning of the semester. I respect that. He was professional and returned work in a timely manner. He did have a little bit of a short temper during lab sessions, but I didn't really mind. Enjoyable class given the subject matter!

He is not responsible if you don't get an A. He is course is clear and easy if you follow his advice and study. He is always available to help. Never look tired. Will take for bio 110 if I could.

As long as you come to class and do all your readings you'll pass. Not to mention he gives out extra credit so to say.

I had Dr. Lewis while in 11th grade in highschool. He is a very good teacher and ACTUALLY cares about his students and want to see them succeed. He gives quizzes every week but they are for our benefit. He takes the time to answer emails and questions outside of class. He gives extra credit. Would recommend!!

Dr. Lewis seems tough when you first start. It seems like a lot of work and you're right. There's a method to the madness. The final is created by the department, so his labs, homework, and packets were what got me an A. Also, I still remember the material we learned, which is going to help in my kinetic anatomy course I'm taking at university.

Does quizzes every week rather than unit exams, which I definitely preferred. It's a challenging class and you have to put in the time and work for it no matter who you take...I would take him again.

Good professor for bio. Gives lots of feedback and is very kind. Is very understanding. Even bumped up my 78 to a B even though he caught me cheating once.

Great professor! He stayed a hour later to open lab for students on nights that we didn't have lab. If you read the chapters and study the powerpoint slides that he covers in lecuture, you'll have a good chance of scoring high on the quizes.

Hes not the easiest but if you show up and pay attention youll pass. I felt like his class was easier during the pandemic. I took 109 in spring and 110 in fall of 2020. There are a lot of assignments and really long chapter outline packets but its fine for the most part. And he doesn't like to be called wrong lol but you are able to ask for help!

I had a good experience with Dr. Lewis. I took him for BIO 109 in Spring 2020. Attendance is mandatory. If you pay attention in lecture, study the PowerPoints, you will do well. Weekly quizzes helped me to maintain information. There were no surprises on the tests. I would take his class again.

I took both 109 and 110 with him. Weekly quizzes, but you learn and remember everything this way. Gives extra credit to boost your grade. Loves to stay after class for students that need his help. Please take him.

If you want to learn he will help you. study, practice with labeling the body parts,and ask for help. He will stay behind just to help you. He is a tough cookie but he is passionate about the student learning. If you play around it will show on your quiz, and if you learn differently... express that, he will adjust and help you!

Professor Lewis is very organized and really wants you to learn not just pass. He gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit. There are plenty of quizzes to help boost your grade. Don't miss class or you will be lost, and he does not like lateness or excuses if you are on time, do your homework and pay attention you should pass.

Serious but has a sense of humor, kind but not a pushover. An older review was wrong about him not being qualified to teach biology, check his LinkedIn. You have to put in the hours. Exams are hard. Super responsive to questions. I recommend him as long as you don't expect to coast through. Lab with him is fun.

This class was a lot of fun! Dr. Lewis gives you everything needed to pass this class. I highly recommend taking his class, he is understanding, gives good feedback. He also gave extra credit on the midterm and final exams. Homework was minimal, just lots of studying - but he gives you things to study.

He is very hard on his students in the beginning but he just wants everyone to succeed. His class has plenty of assignments including weekly quizzes that he gives you TTK and focus questions to use to study for and these assignment can help you if you struggle in other areas of the class. He is always willing to stay late to help his students.
