What a ball of energy! This lady is one of the most positive people you'll ever meet. She also happens to be a great professor, too.

She is such an great teacher. always full of energy even at 7am. take the study guide and look up term in the index and read the pages they are on,and read pp slides and webguide. read cases she will call you out. very helpful.

Agree with above, one of the best professors I've had at UNCG. She really makes the class interesting and has increased my interest in law. You have to do a fair amount of studying for the tests but it's all information any US citizen really needs to know anyway.

Most energetic professor ever! Very open and easy to talk to. Down to Earth attitude, tempered with a good'ole sense of honesty, and highly intelligent lady.

Eloise is so unique. She is one of the busiest people I have ever met, but she makes time for everyone and everything. She gets up at 4 in the morning and doesn't quit all day long. He class was wonderful, and her energy level was often off the charts. I LOVED HER CLASS becaue SHE MADE IT EASY TO LOVE. She cares sooo much for her students.

If I could suggest taking one class with any teacher while at UNCG I would undoubtedly suggest that you take Business Law with Hassel. Not only will you learn and retain valuable information that will come in handy for the rest of your life, I guarantee that you will be thoroughly entertained through the process and will enjoy the work that you do

Prof. Hassell is a wonderful person and teacher. She makes the class very fun and interesting.The class does have alot of information but she makes it worth learning.

BEST PROFESSOR IN THE WORLD. That's no lie. She is motivating, fun, energetic, friendly, has great stories that tie in to the material, smart, fair, treats all students like adults. She is my favorite teacher! She is very nice and helpful and her class is very fun and interesting. She thinks of funny ways to help students learn the material. However, you will need to study for this class!

With 330 as a requirement for most bryan majors, it's crazy not to take Mrs. Hassell for it. She is an awesome person and professor. A lot of material covered, but topical study guide is given, with a huge curve on her first exam and many opportunities for extra credit. Your stay in the bryan school is not complete until you've had her.

Great professor, really tough class, you have to be on the ball. She lets you know exactly what you need to know, and goes to every length to make sure a motivated student can do well.

LOVED HER. She is all sorts of awesome. I absolutely loved her energy. She made a boring class somewhat interesting. I cannot recommend this lady high enough. Make sure you study hard for her exams though. There just that, HARD. But i would still def. take her again. She's the best UNCG has to offer.

She was an awesome teacher! She was really sweet and made a 3 hour class fly by with her energetic personality. The only thing that I did not like about this course was that her tests were really tricky and I ended up doing really bad on them. I studied really hard, and ended up with a C in this course. She does offer a lot of extra credit though.

I can't add more to what was said about this professor on the first page of the comments sections done by others. She's wonderful teacher, I admire her energy and personlity. Keep it up Mrs. Hassell.

Very good teacher. Incredibly helpful and keeps class interesting. Even though I dont believe our political views coincide, any political debate that arose was kept VERY unbiased on her part unlike many other teachers at UNCG.

Amazing person. She wants everyone in her class to perform at the best of their ability. I had an 8 A.M. class and she would come in at 7:45 smiling. Hard material but she will clarify anything you need help on. Introduce yourself Day 1.

She's one of the nicest professors I've ever had! She's very energetic and tries to teach visually along with the usual explanations of what you're learning. Attendance is mandatory and she makes you participate at least 10 times during the semester. The tests can be challenging; you really need to know your stuff.

I can't say much for UNCG, Eloise Hassell is legendary. Even if you are not a Bryan School student, you should look into taking one of her classes. It's one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Extremely energetic, experienced, and knowledgeable. Very down to earth as well. The class is a lot of work with the most material covered in any class I've ever taken, but her incredible teaching talent makes it pretty easy. The only criticism I have is that a liberal bias is evident at times. Overall, one of the best professors at UNCG.

Top 2 instructor of my entire life. She is extremely knowledgeable, and caters to multiple learning styles. This class is VERY content heavy (most I've learned in any single class) but that's just the course, not her. Exams are hard, but fair. Don't get behind in the class, or you're sunk. I wish she could teach every class needed for my major!

Amazing professor. She cares so, so much about her students success. Offers TONS of hands-on, interactive extra credit. Nonetheless, she is strict and firm. Expect that. Expect to study independently and not rely on just the assignments in order to learn. Buy the study guide book and study with that.

Professor Hassel is probably the best professor I have had at UNCG. She is willing to go above and beyond to help you. If you show the slightest interest in passing, she will do everything she can to make sure it happens. Absolutely love her!!!

Class is based on her PowerPoints. Take notes, do the study guide and you'll be fine. She's a great teacher and really wants you to succeed. There's plenty of extra credit that you can do to add up to your test average. Grades are 3 exams, 3 interactive quizzes, and participation points. Textbook is only needed to brief court cases.

Super nice and adorably corny. She has a huge passion for the subject and wants all of her students to succeed! She will work with you and take the steps to help you outside of class as well.

Professor Hassell is by far the most dedicated and energetic professor here at UNCG. She is truly passionate about the subject matter and cares nothing more than her students success. Caution, this class is as hard as everyone else states that it is. You must complete the study guides she gives you and study them profusely to do well.

Professor Hassell is a wonderful Professor! I enjoyed taking her class and think that if you have a chance to take her course you should take it. She is always there to help students, she's a firm believer in EXTRA CREDIT! Do the work, the readings and participate in class and you will make a great grade.

Her class was very hard - but I would have done better without major distractions that happened that semester. As a professor she is absolutely incredible. She inspires you every single day. She had cancer while teaching my semester and we did not even find out until she started Chemo and began wearing head coverings. Even then, she was so happy!

Professor Hassell was wonderful, best teacher and favorite class since I've been here ans I'm a junior!! If you don't understand something ASK! You have to speak at least 10 times in class or you loose points. She gives a TON of extra credit, so take advantage of that! There is a lot of info to remember so if you don't study, don't expect to pass.

Tests are a bit difficult but she give ample amount of extra credit. You have to speak in class for points or that will hurt your grade. With all the extra credit and class point opportunity, you can get an A. She really cares about her students and will do anything she can to make sure everyone is on the same page. Very inspirational and caring.

She is a great professor. Very kind and understanding, however she is no pushover. She makes you work for your grade. She gives excellent examples to get you to understand the class. You are required to come to class, more than five absences could cause you to fail. There are no quizzes or homework, just tests. She gives opp for extra credit.

Helpful & caring! She is very organized&clear on the things that is due. Her lectures are clear, the material for this class is hard but she give out a lot of ec. Her test are mc(140pts)&short answers(10pts). Go to test review session& you can get the curve on the test. 2 test and a cumulative final. Class participation & attendance is required!

I just want to say that professor Hassell is by far the greatest professor in the Bryan school of business at UNCG. She teaches in a way that we can all understand and makes it fun and interesting, I have never had a professor like her. I do say that you must come to class and take notes if you want to succeed in this class, but I do recommend it

Easily the best professor in the Bryan School of Business. I had her for both MGT 330 and MGT 475. She not only made the subject manner easy to understand, but also made a seemingly boring subject fun and exciting. She was even able to get 8 and 9am class students up an excited for class, which any college student knows is a miracle in itself.

If you need this class I would recommend Ms. Eloise. She is a sweetheart and she wants everyone to do well. She gives a LOT of extra credit throughout the semester and only allows five unexcused absences. I DO recommend her! She is awesome

She's a great teacher and really cares about her students success. The class can be rigorous, but if you follow along with the lectures and put in the work it's manageable.

It has been 8 years since I took Ms. Hassell's business law and hr law courses. I STILL remember what she taught me and I use it all the time. Her classes were hard, and sometimes a lot to take at 8am. She is incredibly enthusiastic about her job, and teaches things in a way that really stick with you. Highly recommend for any major.

Literally one of the best professors out there. She managed to make something as mundane as business law into a fun class. She is such a sweetheart, really cares about her students and gives lots of extra credit. She also does revisions at the start of every class. Basically, she puts the effort, and if you do too then you'll love this class.

This professor is amazing and passionate about law and even though i am not really interested in the subject, she keeps the classes from being boring and listens to student feedback in order to better her lectures. Amazing teacher. definitely take her class.

This is a tough course. You actually NEED to study. Attendance is pretty strict but she offers extra credit. DO NOT BANK on that though. The material is dense but she is super nice and will work with you on your grades if you show up and participate. The material is hard so be prepared.

Listen up I failed her class the first time taking, and this was my fault as Eloise offered every opportunity to pass the class. The 2nd time around I used every opportunity she offered and passed with a B. She gives you everything you need to be prepared for exams & she gives MANY opportunities for extra credit (if you don't do them you're insane). I LOVE this professor! Lectures werent boring, she gave so much extra credit, and she was so accessible outside of the classroom. She has so much energy! Her class has hard content, she tried to make the class and grading simple. The tests are hard because its all application based, other than that, this class should be a breeze.

Absolutely LOVED this professor. By far the best teacher I have ever had. It is obvious that she really cares that each student succeeds and is very passionate about what she teaches. LOVED THIS PROFESSOR. She is so kind and loves all of her students. Gives very clear grading criteria. Lots of extra credit and easy quizzes to bump your grade up. Goes over a case in the book for every class, also a grade booster. Final is cumulative, but gives you every opportunity to do well.

For a class to be 3 hours long, she certainly made it entertaining and easy to follow. This was one of the most useful classes I took at UNCG. She is helpful, sweet, and is so much fun to have as a professor. You need to study for the tests, no question. You need to do the readings. YOU NEED TO GO TO CLASS. She is awesome.

Great professor and helpful for visual learners. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! Get to class early to ask questions to get participation points. Dont skip she will call on you the next class and sometimes the only way to know the answer is if you were there the class before. Test are very hard but allows you to get points back the very next class after test

A Real Gem.

The class is going to be a lot of work no matter who you take it with. Eloise is super sweet and cares about her students. She allows extra credit to help improve your grade and also lets you get half points back on a test. She actually wants her students to do well. The only negative is she doesn't post grades to canvas. Attendance required.

Eloise is an amazing professor. She gives you so many opportunities to get extra credit. She gives you plenty of time to turn in assignments early. It is a LOT of information but she does her best to help students learn it. If you show up to class, do your work, and brief your cases, it's an easy A.

SHE IS AMAZING- I graduated a couple years back but i'm writing this review to express to anyone in Byran, Take this class and take it with Eloise!! She is the most loving and caring professor. This class can be difficult because of the volume of information given but she does everything in her power for you to succeed.

I love professor hassle!!! Best professor ever she gives out plenty of extra credit and she curves test. I recommend hassle, please read the textbook and listen to her in lectures thats where info from the test comes from.

Read the textbook and attend every class. The only danger is getting behind and not finding out till your looking at a test. You will be provided enough rope to hang yourself if you so choose. But, on the bright side, if your always there and listening it would be difficult to do poorly.

I had Professor Hassell in 2006. Yes you read that right 2006. She has a passion for law that I found to be very motivating in learning the material. I thought of her as I am pursuing a legal career now. If you have the chance to take her class, do it!

BEST PROFESSOR!! She is super amazing, lectures are very interesting. Class goes by super fast. She gives out extra credit BUT you have to do the work to get it, nothing too difficult. You get a participation grade by briefing cases and asking questions in class. You can miss class a certain amount of times until it affects your grade.

I've had Mrs. Hassell twice, and I would do my entire college degree over just to take her again. The absolute sweetest, most caring professor I genuinely believe on this entire planet. Best professor I've had in my life. Goes over material fast yet detailed. However, be sure to attend class, more than 5 absences, and she'll take 10 points off your grade for every absence after that. Eloise is an amazing professor! She engages the class, and makes tough material fun. If you go to class, do your case briefs, and ask questions you will be fine. She does have a tendency to go through material a bit fast, so I found that reading the chapters and taking notes before class was best. She is genuinely invested in students' success.

This is the second class I've had with Eloise. She is smart, funny, engaging, and dedicated to her students. Do your briefs, participate in class, and focus on the group project and you'll be fine. She isn't a harsh grader at all, and she looks out for her students (even finding job opportunities). An absolutely lovely woman.

Eloise is an absolute saint. Other than the fact she's extremely well qualified and knows the material like the back of her hand she is also very funny and super approachable. I've had Professor Hassell for two law classes at UNCG and rest assured that she is an amazing professor. She's kind and she mentions all kinds of great business opportunities for all students. Hassell definitely deserves her flowers as one of the best teachers to have at UNCG. I've taken both MGT 330 and MGT with her, which are info-heavy, but she's always open to questions and gives a generous amount of extra credit. Mandatory attendance, but does give free absences. She is the sweetest person ever and loves talking to her students!

10 attempts on HW, easy 10%. Exam 1 half pts back, Exam 2 is curved (almost a letter grade), Exam 3 is quiz for your 'curve', 12 pts & EASY. Need to speak 10 times but its free 15% if you just raise ur hand. Use exam review to take your notes and memorize early. She does most of the work for you, but don't put off studying. PERFECT teacher!!!!!!

The best professor I've had so far, do your work and go to class. Fair grading and studying for exams never took long. The material can get challenging but the work never felt bad

I love Professor Hassel! She is so sweet and caring and gives so many opportunities for extra credit. My only advice is, if you take her class, make sure to prepare for every class! There is so much material she covers, and there is no way to cram study it before the test. Take advantage of her extra credit opportunities!

Professor Eloise is a great teacher. She's literally one of the best teachers I've ever had. The criteria seems intimidating at first but once you're in the class, it all makes sense. There's a good amount of extra credit and she's really nice. I would definitely recommend this class to everybody.

There is a lot of information to know. But if you stay organized it makes the course easier. She does reviews for her tests, and it is very important to attend them or watch them!!!

Not much else to add in addition to everyone else, but I will say the other reviews are 100% accurate. I cannot recommend taking this class with her enough! Syllabus looks intimidating, but as the semester flows it makes perfect sense. Very exam dependent, but her study guides make it doable and she's definitely one of the best professors at UNCG.

Professor Eloise is amazing! Her lectures are sure but information heavy. There is a lot of work for this class but nothing unreasonable. Prepare for homework, case briefings, and exams. There is a lot of reading for this class so be prepared. She makes you understand the material very well and she is always open to questions.

She's a great professor I took MGT330 in person. Attendance does matter she gives up to 5 unexcused absences, participation does matter and can help your grade. The exams are hard but she provides extra credit twice in a semester and also does a curve for the first two exams. She is great and very nice but the class can be hard.

Professor Hassell was as good as i've had in my time at UNCG. She couldn't have been any nicer or more caring. If there is one class I could take again it would be business law with her.

Smart lady but her class rules are stupid. You have to speak 10 times. If she calls on you to brief a case and you didn't do it, congrats now you must speak 20 times, or you don't get full participation credit. If you're late to class and don't sign the attendance sheet you marks you as absent even if you stay the duration of the class
