Pretty easy grader, and makes the class intersting by talking about off-topic subjects. Research papers assigned weren't that long. I would recommend him to most students.

Number 1 Best teacher out there. Kool guy, well family oriented and very understanding. Does use different&very effective teaching techniques as posed to common text and note verbage. Definetly recommend !! good grading pattern as well. lol

Had him this semester for two classes, English 122, and Children's Lit. I got a B in Eng 122, and a B+ in Children's Lit. All he did was just talk and that's it. Nothing is complicated whatsoever when it comes to DiPasquale!!! In other words, TAKE DIPASQUALE. He is da Man!!!!!

Best english professor! I love him! He made me laugh alot and was really nice. I put lots of effort in my papers and tests and I just about got an A on all of them. He doesn't want research papers, he wants to know about YOU! Add in life experiences and opinions in your papers and he will love you.

This was a very easy class i got an A. If i would have taken this during a regular semester it would have been a waste of my time. The work is very easy but be prepared to make speeches. I really enjoyed his lectures he should do more of it. If you are going to take him do it during summer you wont regret it.

All the essays are straight forward and (believe it or not) enjoyable, in-class and take-home. He's a great guy and probably the best professor I've had at MCC by far

Prof. di Pasquale does NOT give everyone Ds and Fs. Only a few students received such grades at midterm. I don't tell him what grades to give. If you got a D or an F, you richly deserved it. If you act like a student instead of a slacker, you will very probably pass the class. Stop whining. ~ Dr. Z

When I took Di Pasqule's class, this was my 2nd time taking English since before I had a different prof. His class might be a little boring, but you will learn a whole lot about writing essays. Not only does he want students to be better writers, but better as a student themselves. Whoever gives negative reviews must be pissed off at him.

Professor di Pasquale was a very good professor, very caring and alot of wisdom, I learned alot from taking his class, he is a good teacher and funny.

IF YOU CAN TAKE HIM...DO IT! he is so easy, calm, talks about the funniest things and doesnt really care about what you write about. hes very understanding and usually ends class 30 mins early. awesome professor. got a B+ and i barely did anything never really went to class either.

Best professor I've had so far, very nice man. Loves detail in his required papers. You can write a paper about something off topic and still get a B in his class. You only get an A if you are a decent/good writer. Take him for any English course he teaches, you will not regret it (unless you are an English major and want to learn a lot more).

He is so nice and he grades nicely... A lot of critical thinking and he cares more about discussion then actual testing... only two essays and mini quizzes which are more opinion based. For example: Just like colin powell goes beyond his ethnic make up, how do u go beyong your ethnic make up, background, religion, and self?

VERY easy class. i never read a single thing he told us too and passed every quiz/test with flying colors. still good to read just so you know what he may have in mind for the test (an essay every test, every other week). he's very interactive and a fun loving guy, as well as interesting. loved his classes!

Excellent teacher. Not boring like most english teachers. English is my worst subject but i actually enjoyed going to his class. All of the assignments were basically writing about yourself. Recommend esp to those that hate english

He is such a great proffesor! You could tell he genuinely cares about his students. His teaching is very unique, he teaches through life experience. He definitely is not on your back when it comes to assignments, so you need self-motivation for that. Awesome proffesor, one of my favorite!

Upon his advice, I sat in on some of his classes. He loves everyone and everyone loves him. He doesn't like to give poor grades and says that other Profs. just test to confuse students and don't actually test on the work. He was so right!

JUST DO ALL THE HW, and try to PARTICIPATE in class. His tests are not really hard, but you have to prepare a little for them. I would definately take him again ( try this semester ENG-247) :)

Professor di Pasquale was a breath of fresh air. It is a bonus that he is an author, he actually breathes life into the words when he reads to the class. I promise you, there will be no disappointment. You'll enjoy coming to this English class.

Participated in creative writing class many years ago. This man was not only a great writer, but a great listener. I feel his excellent writing skills are only the tip of the iceberg. I still use his feedback years later for my writing, and life.

You really don't do anything in the class, you just sit there and listen to him talk about his life and random things. He does favor women and people that sit in the front. The essays you write are only 3 pages and on things you want to write about like your favorite movie or music, he also usually gives everyone a B. Dont even need to show up.

Talented,wise,and smart. The syllabus is straight foward,if you follow it and do the readings, no reason why you cant get an A. He is a great Prof. I would go to class just to hear his lectures and how he incorporated his life and feelings into all of his writings. He is inspirational,try,put some effort in and you wont regret his class.

Really enjoyed taking his class he was funny. Really liked him. Do miss having him when I was in MCC and I wish I could have done a little bit better in his class however, I am still happy I had him.

This is a fun and interesting class.

Overall having a great experience in this class. He expects you to read a lot. has a tendency to be a tough grader but if you genuinely try he won't give anything below a B. Even then he gives you the option to rewrite it for a better grade. Real nice guy, worth taking the class

Took him for Children's Lit and English. His class is easy and you learn a lot from him. You don't need to buy the textbook either. Show up to class, participate and do the work and you'll get an A. Would definitely take him again he is the best!

I actually think it is impossible to fail a class with him. You never have to do any work and he doesn't track attendance. He is very vague which can be frustrating, but he is a genuinely nice guy. If you want an easy grade 100% take him, but I really didn't learn anything. Class was a joke.

Very nice guy I had personal issues going on while I took him and he was really nice and understanding of them he gave me weeks of extra time during papers and he was very understanding and Because of that I actually still talk to him to this day his classes fill up in the first 3 hours so take him if you can I got an A when I almost dropped

Professor Emanuel di Pasquale was a great teacher. He had been teaching for 50 years in MCC; he knows the college very well. If you have any problem in the college talk to him, he will direct you. He bought us pizza four times this semester. No one fails his class.

Just show up and try, he will teach you the basic stuff they did not teach you in high school. YOU CANNNOT FAIL THIS CLASS. HE is very inspirational. He gives you great feedback, and if you write from your "heart" he will know and give you a good grade. You could buy an essay online and hand it in, he will know. He will be disappointed. HAVE FUN

Amazing 100% take don't think twice

He's a professor about showing you what life is! seems weird right? Take him no matter what class he is teaching. The most caring professor of MCC. You would an idiot for not taking him. 3 essays are due in his class. No citation no limits of pages or sentences or words. Only use your mind. Half page essay would be enough too.

This is by far one of the easiest professors in MCC. He constantly brings food for the class. All semester we had a total of 1 paper that was a joke. If you show up every other class you will be fine. 10/10 would take again.

DiPasquale is amazing, some people say they haven't learned anything but that's probably because they didn't pay attention because DiPasquale is so intelligent and wise. He spreads his knowledge with his class with one conversation. This is the point of literature and writing you speak about whatever comes to your head. He appreciates good writing.
