This is by far the worst professor you will ever meet! He is never clear about anything and when he tells you to do something straight from the book, thats not what he means. He wants you to do exactly what is in HIS head, not what the book wants. Don't bother, its not worth your time or your effort. Plain and simple, DONT BOTHER!
Let's be honest, this guy knows what he is doing. The last reviewer may have a bad experience but this is my 3rd classes with this guy: cm 100,240 and 340 and you can quote me he is one of the best professor in Worcester State.
he's a really nice guy and his class is very easy if you dont mind group work- however, he is very unorganized so if thats a problem for you i wouldnt recommend this class
his comm research class was very useful and i learnt something I had never learnt in any other class and as a senior I recommend this class before you graduate in comm.
He is one of the best teacher's here at USC. His lectures are always interesting. His test and quizzes are kind of hard so you have to study the word list, But it's definately worth it! I loved his class! This is one of the classes where I actually liked going. Great teacher?
Through this class I have been "turned on" to communications and public relations - now I am very interested in persuing a career in the field. Go for it if you're interested in pr and adv. as a career.
I tthink he is a really bad teacher. YOu can barely understand what he is saying and bases everything on group work.
Very nice guy, but a disappointment of a teacher. Rather than communicate his advertising knowledge and experience, he barely put in any effort. Gave absolutely no direction on assignments (even when asked) and then was highly critical of our work. Gave every group the SAME GRADE rather than grade their projects individually. You get the picture.
Actually teaches against his own textbook. My advice: don't buy the textbook, he rarely uses it. He thinks he knows more than the book and arrogant too, but if you like group work, you know what I mean, go for it, you might even get an A without working for it (group work indeed) unfortunately I have graduated.
Only took his class because it fit into my schedule. Otherwise, I would have never even taken such a horrible class.You can hardly understand the guy and he spends like 45 minutes on one slide. Extremely boring because he goes on and on about the same stuff. I do not recommend any classes w/ him unless you want to suffer from boredom and rudeness
Poor excuse for a professor. Didn't even receive an evaluation form from the guy. He probably fills it out himself because that's the only way he can keep his job.
I really enjoyed having Nneji as a professor. He seems a lot tougher than he puts off, but I really think it's for the sake of motivating students. At times he was unclear during lectures, but during his office hours he was very willing to listen and help. I think he's very well educated and motivating as a professor. I would recommend him.
I have this guy four times in two semesters, That how good I think he is, that is, if you like to be challeged. He gives quizzes every week making it unneccessary for final exams. I think other professors should copy this because you don't have to study for big exams at all. Professor Ninja ride on.
idk why people put Nneji down, once you get to know him and have him a couple times he is funny and pretty cool. He has alot of ideas for WSCs dumpy Comm. program to make it ill. Cool guy, easy classes.
Arrogant and very unclear when giving out assignments. Try not to take him, however you will survive. He can be abrasive and rude with unpredictable mood swings. If you are a girl smile alot, that may help. I don't think he is very fond of men. Conceided and loves the sound of his own voice- just smile and let him be right. Should be a free class.
Just completed two of his classes and ready to go into the world to kick some ass in advertising/pr, Those are really cool and I will say he really know his stuff for that field. I agree he can be impatient but not arrogant and I think most professors are impatient with cutting classers and repete questions. Otherwise I give him a good grade.
Great teacher! comes off as being rude at first but is actually really funny and def knows his stuff, if you come to class and participate you won't have a problem, the work is pretty easy and you always get out early
A lot of people don't like Nneji b/c he grades HARD. He will bluntly tell you if your project is bad. His quizzes are worded badly and hard to take. Accent is sometimes hard to understand. His class was a pain in the butt but he is an OK guy... just really boring to listen to sometimes.
He is horrible at giving directions. He changes requirements for his projects mid project and doesn't answer questions very well. He made 90% of the class redo projects because it wasn't exactly what he wanted. I would not recommend taking a class from him.
Took advertising class with him. Lectures are good. Online quizzes, and papers are pretty easy. Big paper at end of term, but not hard.
Hard to please professor but knows his stuff and controlling. I now know much about advertising before what I think I know about it before. I think the course is very helpful and nneji pushes us to learn something.
Seems like a nice guy, but his instructions are very unclear and he seems to get upset because no one understands his instructions. When asked what he means, he gives you a completely different explaination than what is on the syllabus or in the directions of the assignment.
Prof neji is phenomenal. He went out of his way on several occasions to help me out when my schedule didn't allow me to follow the pace of this course. His passion for the courses I have taken with him make me want to take more of his classes.
Assignments are very difficult to interpret. He is extremely unclear with directions. Regularly insults students. Will allow (sometimes demand that you) repeat an assignment for better grade. Can be difficult to understand and is generally capricious. Try to avoid him, but make sure you get on his good side if you get him.
Made us start blogging, kind of cool bc I like totake advantage of digital communication in place of jobs. For me I like the guy very much, only problem he repeats info many times to please those not paying attention. I highly recommend for intro and will try him in spring for advertising course.
Does not follow the syllabus AT ALL. Has a disclaimer that it may change "at his discretion" but never informs students of those changes. Often condescending and rude in communications to students, when there actually are any. I would NEVER take a class with him again.
Pleasant man although online communication seemed rude. It was an online course, but he did not use Blackboard to resolve issues. Students had to visit in person to get answers. Work & Quizzes were appropriate. Group project clearly outlined. Final exam expectations were confusing. Final project seemed to be busy work and was a waste of time.
Copied syllabus from a professor's syllabus made in 2001. I googled a portion of the syl. b/c he never answered Q's in blackboard and directions were ridiculous and discovered no wonder it doesn't make sense he stole his material from 2001 professor at pen state who is using a different book. Worst teacher I've ever had. And as the person above me said rude. Some girl on bb asked for classifications his reply " go read the(incoherent) syllabus for answers".
Speaks with accent, like British accent I think. Taken two courses with the professor over 3 years, one online and one writing class. Very challenging but helpful. Good if you want to go to graduate school because of research for final project. Some find it okay and some others don't.
Lots of people complain about Nneji. My experience was just the opposite. I went to class, stayed caught up in weekly discussion, did well on the weekly quizzes because I read the chapters (go figure, that mean guy made us read the the book before class), and I handed in my assignments in on time, and I got an A- in the class.
think that he is/was a fun teacher. I was literally entertained all of class. He grades hard but I think that is just to help. THere is a TON of writing because it IS a newswriting class and if you are into that it's not that bad. But if you are like me where you don't know what you want to do with your life... it's kind of frustrating.
If you can possibly avoid taking a class with this professor, AVOID IT. Nneji may have started out as a well intentioned professor, (he is a smart guy,) but he's become arrogant and rude, and simply lazy. He changes assignments last minute. His classes are so disorganized it feels like a waste of time. I almost went to the department head...
Horrible teacher. I will never take him again. Took him for an online class, made assignments ridiculously tough, tons of researching. Quiz every week. Final was due on the last day of classes right after we had a five page homework assignment due. I have never done so bad in a class in my LIFE and this was an intro class. never again.
He has tons of energy; great for late classes! He loves what he's doing and knows what he's talking about. There's no text book almost and he has study reviews for the test telling you exactly what to study. I would highly recommend him! Just graduated, hurrah,
Currently taking Intro to Mass Communication online with this prof. His expectations are way too high for an entry level class and he is of no help to his students. Makes projects impossible to complete. Told me I would lose points for emailing him a question rather than submitting it on the discussion board. TERRIBLE, DON'T BOTHER WITH HIM!!!

Taking public speaking with the prof and it's my world. One of the best courses I have taken in college from Keene State, NH to WSU. Makes me WANs change my major from history to communication
I wish dr nneji a very happy holiday season and thank him for helping me understand and appreciate the importance of writing for communication. I am sending in the form to declare communications as my minor. I have really become interested in many areas of media involvement.
My interssion class aws good. Not from WSU but enjoyed his handling of this course. Have always wanted to have advertising in my bag for future career in mkt, glad finally have it and got it right too. It's hard work but worth it. Highly recommended
I took Writing for Comm. with him fall '11 and it was great. He's so helpful that I took 2 more courses this semester with him. He lets you redo work for a higher grade and is my favorite professor @ WSU. I highly recommend taking a course with him! I'm taking Public Speaking now and love it!

Going to graduation 2013. Been there and seen all teachers for 4 years, the good, the bad and worst. In all I took 4 lasses with neji and will say some including dr neji belong to hall of fame. Merry christmas all
Did not have a good experience. Not sure if it is only his online classes but he is not helpful, wont anser emails, and isnt good at answering blackboard questions. Very confusing set up for mycommunication lab, and did not help at all, seemed to get frustrated with students questions and barely answer them. Would not take a class with him again.
Agreed with some comments but this is online class and the professor said from begining the discussion board is the classroom not his email. I like his class because this is the 3rd time I took his online. Strongly recommended if you understand difference between online and classroom
I have taken several online classes and from several professors and much prefer this format of posting all assignments at the begining with my schedule.So if someone is not happy with this style, h or can go take classroom or independent study. This is by far the worst communications professors you can possibly ask for. I strongly recommend taking courses with Zang, Frechette, or even Gainer. He is the most confusing professor makes things ten times more difficult than they need to be. Especially bad for online courses MYCOMMUNICATION LAB- Especially beware of that. Limited grasp of Eng.
cool guy, EXTREMELY thick accent, so hard to understand. tests were all online, could google the answers. but has big projects with groups. doesn't give much clarity, or maybe he did but we couldn't understand what he was saying

I agree with last comment. may be as a vet I'm older and in service have to work with everybody, so don't really notice the guy thick accent. it may be a problem for young lads, but not my problem at all, as matter of fact its funny like british accent. also I don't take online course and so far have take two this semester with professor neji. good

I hated this professor, he was a rude man. Whenever i would e-mail him for questions he would NOT answer them, instead he would say to check the syllabus. He was very unclear about what he wanted and tough a very grader. He was snappy and it seemed to anger him if you approach him with questions. I spent my semester being frustrated.
Very nice guy, but not an easy class. Tests are open book and online so they are easy if you put in the work, but they are extremely long, 2 hours is the norm. Tough class but good guy.
This is the 3rd class I have taken with this professor, first was online the last two were actual classes. His accent is not so bad but he remains unclear in his delivery. Very unhelpful; will cut you off and give you his own unclear advice rather than letting you finish and explain yourself. Felt lost the whole semester. I would avoid this guy.
Has trouble with his English. I took the online class and he was a little disorganized with posting tests on time and such. I took for an easy A and it ended up being harder than I thought because there is a lot of busy work.

Not recommended. He's rude and doesn't give a lot of feedback. All the work was online but the online tests are long but not too bad if you put the time into them. The chapter projects and final projects are also easy as long as you follow everything he wants. His class is pretty easy, just very boring and you can just teach yourself the material

Took this course in ten days, that is Winter 2016. Very challenging and intensive but satisfying. I'm glad I did it even though I will not recommend this if you're not under pressure to graduate. Just glad I passed it if you know what I mean. As for the professor, don't expect anything less than a full college credit. Thanks Professor.

I am in his online class. He becomes extremely rude when answering other students' questions. This online class is so badly organized. He realized that he "forgot" to upload our quizzes for several weeks, so now he is just jamming them all in last minute. He seems very unfriendly and gives no feedback other than "good" or "reread the assignment".
He is very rude and will ignore your emails if you take him online. Did not teach me anything must be prepared to learn things on your own. I will never take an online class because of this professor.
There was a book listed as required on the syllabus, we all paid over $100 for it then he decided we werent going to use it after the return period at the bookstore was over. He doesnt explain anything even if you ask for help, you are left to teach yourself. so disorganized and stressful. worst class ive ever taken at woo state
MY last class at Woo, and capstone in communication. This is like a thesis and he is awesome professor indeed. Hope I have him if I come back for masters. Thank you for good final year experience at Woo.

This guy is good guy and even after change the textbook he gave handouts and meet the bookstore to take back out textbook. I got my textbook money and many others too.

He is pretty disorganized and doesn't always follow the syllabus. I've taken other classes with him, it's not horrible. But his directions are confusing. I didn't enjoy this class and struggled often. For his online classes I wished he had just laid out questions to answer and quizzes to take rather than randomly posting assignments.
Very rude towards students when they ask a reasonable question. Had to ask him multiple times to change a grade that was wrong. Do not take a class with this professor you will regret it. Very rude.

For a communications professor, he does not communicate well. He does not stick to a syllabus, changes the course as he goes, is unclear in his instructions. Very rude in responses. Let's you redo assignments, but should have been clear to begin with. Used irrelevant and outdated examples and links. One of the worse classes ever taken at WSU.
If you can avoid having a class with this professor... I would highly suggest it. He's extremely rude and condescending. He'll give you a syllabus and changing everything that you have to do the last minute before it's due. There's def favoritism. If he likes you you'll get an A. You feel uncomfortable asking questions. Takes forever to grade .
Hated his lecture-only teaching style . He spoke very fast and had an accent so sometimes I found it hard to follow him. He does not follow his syllabus and would go off on tangents. He's very vague about his grading criteria but yet, still grades very harshly. Had to email him many times to fix grades he kept forgetting to change, very frustrating

I took this course thinking it would help me better my knowledge on various communication methods but instead I learned nothing and he stressed me out way more than I needed to be. He made the course almost impossible to get an A and is never in his office when he says he will be. He will give you back assignments to fix, but they are never enough
Took him for CM 106&CM 180 for degree requirements. Most disorganized professor I've ever had. Due dates weren't strict but he is extremely vague w assignment instructions. 90% of links provided for readings are broken & instead of giving updated links we are told to use google to find readings. Avoid if possible.
I took this course for graduation in December 2018 and I'm glad I did. Learnt much to help me in understanding the Internet.

Really I have to grade this guy? I feel on top after completing the course for this summer 2. May be he is very soft for the summer courses but I remember taking intro course with him in 2015 in my freshman year and liked it very much. He was funny most times.
Very specific requirements for all written assignments. Be careful and follow specific guidelines with his classes. Have taken both classroom and online Communication courses with him.
just curious what others say about this course. So far so good, only 2 weeks into the class and have 2 papers and 2 quiz to complete, not bad I guess as a 3 credit class. I give him B+ for now and by end of class we will see.
The easiest class ever taking in college. Right now going into my senior and taking neji agin in fall to finish my degree. Thank you professor, look forward to seeing you in class for public relations. I hear from friends it's a really fun class. Happy summer.
I'm from nearby university in Worcester taking summer course from consortium for graduation credit. I am very impressed by the tight schedule and the amount of work but very seamless and well organized systems. I'm graduating from school this August but wish I know there is such easy process earlier. Still waiting for my grade, but very satisfied.
Just very good to have this opportunity from Worcester Sate because the class is well structured and every student know what to do. Kudos, I will be taking more classes online to keep my work and school together. Thanks profesor.
Likes that he gave us many opportunities for extra credit points as class intro, video and videos. I think he is very generous with his students and want everyone to get a good grade. He always say that its a freshman class and want to encourage everyone.
I took his class for online so my review is not as accurate. His assignments are fair and his grading seems very lenient as well. The problem I had though with his Online Video game course is that the directions of his assignments are poorly written and his response to your question makes it seem like he can barely understand what you are asking.
Avoid at all costs! Most rude professor I have ever encountered. He gives tons of pointless HW with no grade criteria and is extremely rude if you ever have a question. I can't even believe he still teaches there. The board should look into his teaching methods. Advice: do not believe those good reviews!
At first I hated the class, there was a lot of work to do, but over time as classes went on student ts voiced their opinion on the class and he was happy to adjust the course to make it more enjoyable for the students. Can be difficult at times but truly does care to help students
Toughest class I've taken and I genuinely tried to do well. Strong accent so difficult to understand. If you're asking a question because there's confusion over an assignment, sometimes he expects you to have known it. When he does provide directions, it's confusing both verbally and on the syllabus. Some disrespect here and there too.
The most rude professor iv ever had, doesn't speak clearly, isn't clear with any directions, essay after essay after essay. AVOID AT ALL COST.
I would recommend Professor Nneji. The guidelines for grading and criteria one needs to meet to achieve these are outlined very clearly. It is important, especially if taking online or during summer/winter session, to give yourself adequate time to complete the assignments. It is communication after all so make sure you structure your writing!
I recommend avoiding this professor at all costs. His grading criteria is very vague and he grades ridiculous hard. The 100 question tests/quizes almost every week are brutal. His midterm is so vague and is easily over 12 pages long. Along with 10 4-6 page papers that are required by the end of the semester is insane. He is also extremely rude.
My experience with this professor this semester was absolutely atrocious. Excessive papers whilst following very vague instructions. The professor was very rude when I asked for clarification and further instructions on assignments. By his standards, it's apparently a sign that students don't care if they are confused by his unclear explanations.
Avoid Professor Nneji! I ended up buying a textbook I never used and took a class I barely understood. His lectures hardly ever made sense and his assignments were sporadic and often confusing. Asking him for help usually gets you a condescending answer, as if you should have known. Avoid him and read other reviews carefully!

Where do I begin, first off I really needed to take this class for my major I knew it wasn't going to be easy but this professor is ridiculous. He was mad at me for multiply reasons, he was mad because I was in a senior class and I'm a sophmore, then I emailed him mulitply times and he didn't answer me. Just don't take the class unless you need it!
Worst prof I've ever had. Disrespectful when you ask for advice or clarifications. 100 question tests every week and unnecessary papers due every other week. Was an asynchronous class and still felt degraded when communicating with him. "required" textbook was not used, course was a waste of time and he's rude!
Where do I even begin? He is the WORST professor Ive ever had. Hes so horribly rude when you try and talk to him, and if he does answer, its one word responses that are no where near helpful. On essays, if you do the entire assignment, he will fail you because he likes to create a question, not tell you, and give you 0 credit for the whole paper
The amount of work in this course is extreme for a 100 level course. Took it as an elective not knowing there was going to be 100 question tests due every week along with 1,000 word papers. Grading criteria and deadlines are extremely unclear, not to mention how condescending he is when you try asking questions. Do not recommend.
I would not recommend taking Video Games course with this Professor. The assignment due dates were unclear as there was different due dates posted for assignments. He responds poorly to questions, giving very short answers and not fully addressing the questions asked.He assigned a 4500 word research paper that wasn't in the syllabus due in 2 weeks!
Avoid taking this class at all costs. Deadlines were very unclear, and he randomly assigned a 4500-word paper in the last 6 weeks of the semester that was never on the syllabus, in addition to the other papers he had already assigned. When responding to students in discussions, he is often rigid, condescending, and does not answer the questions.

Super condescending. He's a tough grader and will make you redo everything unless you do headings, etc. but once you get that stuff he'll easily give u an A. attendance effects grade. heavy on chapter tests and papers. not clear on what assignments are about or how to do them. Textbook is expensive.

Professor Nneji makes sure his students succeed which is important. Sometimes the guidelines are a little hard to understand, but if you reach out, he makes an effort to make sure you understand. He's not a tough grader, but try to follow the guidelines and he'll give you an A.
Difficult to reach outside of class, assignment instructions are often confusing and long when they should be clear and concise, sometimes he is very nice and other times very rude without good reason. Lectures the whole class and hounds anyone he may suspect of not paying attention. Lectures often lack any real purpose or meaning.
Professor Nneji isn't the worst, but he sometimes makes you wanna pull your hair out. He doesn't give clear feedback on work, so you have to figure out what needs fixing all on your own. He talks a lot in class which typically has nothing to do with the topic at hand. We barely cover his 5 slide slideshows in one class. Also, there is no rubric for essays just student examples which don't help much. But there are a lot of online quizzes for homework but those tend to be pretty easy.
Avoid this class if possible. The professor is unorganized, unclear with instructions, and unhelpful when asked questions. Many papers and a surprise 4,500-word final assignment make this a very difficult course. Unstuckstudy may help with study prep, but the professor's poor communication is tough to overcome.
Im warning you right now, DO NOT.. I REPEAT.. DO NOT TAKE UNDERSTANDING VIDEO GAMES with prof. Nneji. BY FAR my hardest class of the semester. He will make you write 10 page essays and 13 page essays on video games. He will not allow you to schedule time to meet with him. I had to work my ass off for a high grade.

He assigned multiple assignments throughout the semester then gave us a month to work on the final paper and just spent that last month lecturing about random things
