She is a great teacher! She is always interacting with the class. We had 4 test and she always gave an extra credit question or assignment for the test. She also gave a study guide the class before the test. She is very quick on answering her emails, very helpful teacher. I loved her class, I would definitely take her again!

Great professor. Explains very clearly, knows her stuff. She gives reviews for all the tests. Take notes of her power points and review the book. You will Ace the class! She's fun and super intelligent. She will give a few chances for extra credit. The class was very close knit. She placed her heart where her mouth is!

Really amazing professor! Hilarious and helps you whenever she can. Reads powerpoints and pretty much every test comes straight from the book. There were 3 tests and a final. Just read from the book and you'll pass each exam. There's also a group project which is also an easy A if you do it right. A really fun class. 1010

Great professor, and great person. She is really helpfulness, and she gives extra credit. You have 4 tests in the semester, and a group presentation. She gives you a study guide before every quiz, where you can find almost all the answers.

Always takes attendance, all she does is lecture and group work occasionally but they aren't graded. She gives extra credit sometimes and she gives study guides that are very helpful for exams. Term paper is really hard but she gives 2 month to finish and she is very helpful when you ask her about anything.

In order to thrive in this class you must read the chapters! It is mandatory for success in this class. She gave us a term paper that the entire class was nervous for. It was tough but I got an A, thank God. Only 3 people got an A on the term paper, she told us. The tests are only difficult if you don't read and study. Can't miss over two classes.

Prof. Baron is sweet and funny, but very clear in what she expects out of students. She will go the extra mile for you as long as you respect her class time. She does give extra credit, pop quizzes, and class attendance is mandatory. But after a while I found myself looking forward to take her class. She sends reviews for the tests too.

Great professor, she makes you really work for it. I have no complaints, she is terrific at what she does, very clear to understand. Extremely friendly, I took her summer B, we had three exams and 1 research paper. Test are easy as long as you do the review and pay attention. I would recommend this teacher if you want to actually learn.

I took her for Summer B. 3 exams and 1 research paper. She gives you a review, but it is just a review on what is expected on the test. You do need to read each chapter and memorize her powerpoints. She grades the research paper really harshly so make sure you do really well on the exams to pass. She never answers her emails so don't bother.

Honestly a pretty easy professor as long as you read and learn the material on the reviews for the test. She does however test pretty harshly on the paper so make sure you ace the exams. Got a 97 overall in the fall.

She was a really good professor! She knew and explained the material well. The study guides she provides a week before exams are AMAZING. If you complete the study guide and use your book to review topics you should do good. There is a major research project. It was challenging but doable. I chose a bad partner so CHOOSE YOUR PARTNERS WISELY.

She's super funny and nice, but she gives two random pop quizzes so it's annoying because you have to show up every class just in case there is a quiz. And you always have to be caught up with the lectures because the quizzes are 30%

She's a great professor, every class there is a lecture, 4 exams + 1 research paper. every exam has a review but reviews are nothing like exam. You must attend class in order to pass!!! Research paper is hard but doable and its with a partner. Tests are hard but if you study they're passable.

Professor Baron is a great teacher. She goes over the content in class and doesnt assign homework but study for her exams! She grades very fair so put as much effort as you can into studying and the research paper.

4 exams, 1 final. Exams are super easy. You don't need to buy the textbook. I repeat, you DON'T. She posts all her exam reviews and the reviews consist of material she uploads in her powerpoints. I bought the textbook but didn't need it. For exam reviews, her lectures and powerpoints cover it ALL. She's a lil tough on research papers. 10/10

She is the sweetest teacher you can possibly get. She is very enthusiastic about her work and loves participation. MUST participate. Her exams are easy if you study her reviews. The research paper was the only tough problem about this entire class.

You will not pass if you dont study, Dr. good friend made the grading criteria clear and never threw anything at us we werent ready for (no pop quizzes). Very strict w phone use and doesnt allow laptops. Gave us study guides for every exam that were extremely useful and lectures were never boring, she engaged with us 1000/10 would recommend!

Took Dr. Goodfriend last spring. She's really funny, nice and knows a lot about Human Development. She made class fun and used real life examples to help us understand. I remembered her examples when I was taking exams and they helped. The research paper was kinda hard but she helps you if you go see her. And she gives exam reviews .

BEST professor at MDC. Ive taken 3 courses with her. She used to be Emilia Baron but got married. She makes jokes in class and helps us understand work. If I had more psych classes to take id take them with her.

Dr Goodfriend is my favorite professor so far at mdc. I just finished my 2nd class with her and if she teaches any more classes I need I'll def take her again. She cares about her students and is funny and is a good teacher. You definitely need to do your work if you want to get a good grade but I learned a lot in her classes that I can use in life

CLP 1006 Get ready to read !!

She loves teaching & is very open-minded & chill. Classwork consisted of 4 exams, 2 pop quizzes, and a final group project. The group project wasn't that hard & she's understanding about group members that don't do work if you tell her ahead of time. She uploads powerpoints of her lectures so you don't really need the textbook unless you want it.

Mrs. Goodfriend is a welcoming professor that gives informational lectures and is passionate about class engagement upon the class topic. Able to view test reviews a week before the tests and her explanations cover mostly all the info. Encouraging to use the textbook, but truly is there if you need the extra review. Tests are easy if you study.

Dr Goodfriend is a really funny and nice professor. She went out of her way to make class fun and make sure we could learn what we needed to. We also did a really great project outside of class that helped a lot of people. As long as you do the work and follow the syllabus you'll be fine, I definitely recommed taking her class

I did not do too well this class due to some personal issues in my life, but Goodfriend is a great professor and easy going. Only three exams that relatively simple containing mainly common sense, but studying her power points do help, and one essay. The whole semester you are expected to collect donations for Lotus House within your group.

She is a great teacher who makes the class material interesting, is open minded, and very understanding. It's college so of course you need to study for her exams and if you study it's an easy A in the class. I learned a lot bc of her, I would take her again!!

Virtual classes can be good or bad. This one with Dr Goodfriend was definitely great. The work was not too bad , the grading was fair and what I expectedand she always responds right away to help if I needed any, and seems really nice. I definitely recommend her.

Dr. Goodfriend was an amazing professor! Her lectures consist of her real-life reflections. There are only 4 tests (she does not do finals) only one mini reflection paper and one research paper that you work on with a partner. As long as you pay attention & review the study guides you are guaranteed to pass her class. I recommend her!

Professor Goodfriend is my favorite teacher at dade. I took her for DEP last year and CLP this time. SHe makes class fun. There is a project to help homeless people. We didnt finish it because of Covid-19 but I hope we can bring the items to the shelter one day.

This class was the easiest thing in the world. Positive psychology is all common sense. Read lesson, discussion post & reply to someone, take module quiz. Proctored midterm, UNproctored final. Word of advice: the only reason you would fail is if you literally dont care and dont do the work on time. Fully online so it was a breeze and flexible

This class was easy to pass. It was 8 weeks and online, thats all you need! There was extra credit, discussion forums, and quizzes per modules. Be aware that sometimes she might forget to post a quiz/discussion post, remind her! Be respectful with the emails you send her. She has an understandable syllabus, which will be your best friend.

This class was so easy. Ms. Goodfriend doesn't give much homework. You have to do a discussion like every 2 weeks and have 3 exams. She gives you reviews and you get to do the exam twice. Anybody complaining just doesn't want to do the work.

Great professor! Made the class interesting by having class conversations. The class was also very easy. Only 3 discussions, 3 exams, and hw on TopHat for the 3 modules. The only thing is she's very firm on NO late work. The only exception is if you have a doctor's note. However, she does stress this is the very beginning and in the syllabus.
