i didnt like her bc she thinks you should know as much as she does. and her tests are hard bc the questions dont correlate to her study guides...she sucks!

This was the first and only life science teacher I have every had and enjoyed. Prof. Allen made a really scary required course a lot better. She wasn't easy easy, but if you work hard (as you should have to in Anatomy) then you'll do well.

I fell she is a good teacher, however things are taken way too deep onto a cellular level. Some areas of A&P need to be explained on this level, but she does it with every body system. She is fair and willing to help/or explain in greater detail if you need her to.

Ms. Allen is a really good teacher and she does a good job of explaining what you need to learn. She doesn't let you take the easy way out, so be prepared to study hard for her tests because they aren't easy. Don't be afraid to ask questions, she likes people who do.

Miss Allen is the best! Always willing to help if you ask and very fair with grading. She provides the notes. She's not out to fail you. If you study and give a damn, it will go a long way. She makes a hard course relatively less painful but you have to work hard too.....after all this is college!! Would take her again in an instant.

Seems nice, but the class is very boring--she just uses materials from the books (her lectures, labs, etc, are all provided by the book) which gets old after a while. This class doesn't require much effort though--i hardly studied, did read outside of class though, and got a B+. good if you're looking for a good grade, not an interesting class.

She is the best teacher I've had so far. The information is challenging, but she is so willing to go over it. She is really good at explaining difficult material, and she uses a lot of methods to teach. I definitely recommend

She's a really cool teacher. The class is a bit overwhelming at first, but she has so many things going on in the class, that she sort of makes it hard for you to fail. Really nice teacher..! as long as you study and do all your work, you'll do fine!

This teacher was amazing. She explains things well, goes over the more difficult information as much as she needs to to be sure everyone understands, and she's very nice and understanding about individual situations. No surprises on exams, and clear notes. I wish I could take her again!

I really like her. She's really nice and really helpful. Her class is kind of overwhelming but i think thats just because its mostly all about memorization.

she is a nice teacher, but teaches AnP1 much better than AnP2.

What a nice lady! I don't know anything about science and she made everything really easy to understand. Her grading and assignments were very fair. She is a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her to anyone.

This class has a lot going on... Lots of information.. Ms. Allen is a great teacher. She makes it easy to learn the subject. For first time Bio takers... Take this class!

great teacher. she uses alot of different types of learning styles to help her students excell. u need to be present for al classes because if not u miss alot. she cares about her students success and works with them to succeed. not an easy class but she made the material easy to comprehend.

Terrific teacher. Expert in subject matter. I had her in the spring and enjoyed the class a lot. Got an A. Study guides tell you what's on the test. Shouldn't have any problems passing.

Excellent but not easy. Very intellegent - knows her stuff. Doesn't talk above the students. Can get her point across without making you feel stupid. Spent every waking moment studying. Plenty of labs to help with grade. Avoid summer session it's just too demanding. Very nice person to teach a difficult class. Would definitely take her again.

Prof. Allen teaches A&P I & II extremely well. The outlines she provides are an extreely helpful-however-you do need to read the chapters. Her quiz's are a help to see what you need to study on for the test's and the she makes you think on her test and even the some quiz questions. Teach clearly and explains everything. Fantastic Teacher to take!!!

Who could ask for more? She does the notes, online quizzes, tests are simular to the practice tests and if you study the objectives she gives at the beginning of each chapter you will get an A+. You must study, but she makes it understandable and she will go over the material until everyone gets it! She is so smart and a awesome teacher!

she gives web ct quiz, 4 test, power point presentaition, and labs and that gives you a better chance if your not good at taking test.test are not easy you have to study. she uses power point to teach. not a easy class, but an east a or b

She's just right. Good amount of work is expected as far as studying, and online tests are no "gimme", but she's really honest about everything and there are no surprises. Don't expect to waltz through this course, but you can expect her to do a great job. Highly recommended!

Take Ms. Allen for anatomy! I had her for both A&P 1 and 2 and if you take 1 and do well, you are guaranteed to do well in 2! I got A's in both classes, and the tests are straightfoward from the powerpoint notes, no surprises. Tests are hard, and if you do not study then there's no point in taking the class. Great teacher would take her again =]

good teacher..hard subject but willing to help. online assingments some days instead of going to class which is a relief when class is so long.

Tough class, very helpful. She's willing to help you if you're willing to try. Tells you how it is... no surprises. A lot of studying and work.

Amazing teacher. You can really tell she knows her stuff. She makes the class interesting. She is not easy though, expect to study and if you do that you should be good. I learned so much from that class!!

I was scared out of my mind taking Human Bio. However, Ms. Allen made Human Bio easy. She is always straight to the point. She will help you out a lot. I never thought that I would do well, but because of Ms. Allen willingness to help I fell I got my money worth. Thanks Ms. Allen for making Human Bio fun and most of all interesting.

This was the easiest anatomy class i have ever taken! 3 tests 2 lab ones all you do it memorize muscles and bones! gives you review test with same questions on the test. labs were easy and fast. never stayed the full time in class. gives breaks and fun. TAKE HER!!! EASY A!!!!!

We didn't really use the book a lot. She taught very well and if you put the effort into it you got the grade. As long as you paid attention in class, took notes, and studied for the tests and did all the assignments you are fine.

teaches at a graduate level. Soooo much detail & she trys to throw you on the tests! read the questions carefully!!!

I took her for human bio and for A&P 1 and plan on taking her for A&P 2. She's the best teacher I've had at GCC so far. She really knows her stuff and will take the extra time to explain things if you don't understand. Her tests and grading are more than fair. If you put in the effort you'll do well in her class.

she is by far one of the best teacher's i have had so far. she is extremely helpful and explains things so clearly..she'll keep explaining things until you understand it. she is more than fair with everything and is very understanding. love her!

She was a really good teacher. At first I felt like it was going to be really hard cause I skipped over classes to get in BIO 105, but you have to really good at how she teaches. The quizzes every week really help your grade. Overall the class was easy.

Prof Allen is GREAT!!! She really knows her stuff and she makes class enjoyable. If you are looking for a good instructor for A&P she is the ONE!!!

I took prof Allen for both A&P I and II. She is an amazing teacher. If you are looking for an easy "A" don't take her, but if you want to learn she is the "best"!!! An "A" is definitely possible though. She is fair, explains things well, and makes it easy to get a good grade (if you put the effort in). BEST TEACHER EVER!

print out the powerpoints, show up to class, and your golden. studying comes with the subjects but she is very helpful!

Like others said, don't take her if your looking for an easy 'A'. Her class is hard. You will do a lecture every class and also a lab. Attendance is mandatory, no really she takes 10 points off for every class you miss. She also talks really fast and says "UMMMM" a lot.

Lengthy class. She tries really hard though to help you. I failed a practical and she let me retake it. Not an easy class, but not too difficult either.

Awesome teacher! even thought its a long class, she keeps things interesting. lets you leave class when the lab is done, even if theres an hour of class left. tests are hard! but she gives extra credit and is really helpful. take her!

GREAT PROF!She really knows her stuff. Lectures,assignments and tests are organized and she prepares you for them. AP is a hard subject but she really helps you understand! I got a B (my own fault not studying) but an A wouldn't be hard to get in her class if you're prepared. wonderful prof! def take her class

Ms. Allen really knows her stuff....you have to learn the material to do well, but that's the way it should be! I really learned so much in her class and plan on taking her again for A&P II...Take her if you want to learn!

Great teacher. If you're taking the hybrid course, be ready to work. Tests are pretty tough. Labs and quizzes are easy A's. If you take Bio 106, the final sucks pretty bad. Its a comprehensive on everything in Bio105 and Bio106. Probably the hardest test I've ever taken. She'll help with anything you need though. Very accessible.

I took this course as a hybrid during Summer 1 and it was HARD ! Tests were similar to pratice tests but worded differently so be careful and read good! Def. have to study a lot to get a good grade in her class. The only thing I liked about her was that she spoke well and was really willing to clear up anything.

She is a great teacher--I had her for Human Biology. She makes biology relatable, and she is very excited about it! I can tell because she speaks very fast. She is on point with her lessons and I would have her as a professor again!

Ms. Allen is a high quality professor. She makes learning about A&P interesting. But, beware, she REALLY makes you learn the stuff! There are no shortcuts to learning the material. Work hard, and an A is definitely achievable. I would highly recommend taking Ms. Allen!

This professor is amazing. She knows the material very well. This is a very interesting class. She gave extra credit if we went to see cadavers at UMDJ. That was an awesome experience. Easy A if you're willing to put in time and effort. Her online lectures tell you everything you need to know to get an A.

She is a fantastic teacher, and knows her stuff! Don't expect to show up to class and get an easy A though- you have to do your work and study. She made class interesting with trips and lectures, would definitely take her for another class.

I had Emily for the Equine Science class. She is awesome. The class is awesome. You go on lots of field trips and they're all genuinely interesting. She's super helpful and understanding of the fact that you have a life outside of school and sometimes things come up. If you have to take anything that she teaches, get her as a professor.

I have Ms. Allen for A&P I hybrid. The class is hard because all we do inside of class are the labs and exams, everything else is done at home. She is an awesome teacher and is very helpful. I would highly recommend taking her!

She is a fabulous teacher. Very on point and smart. Study and be serious about the class and you'll do fine.

this isn't an easy subject no matter who the professor is. ask questions, show up, do the work, put in effort. don't think you can breeze through this, Ms. Allen is happy to help and answer any questions. extra credit is provided, and practice exams, you will get out what you put in. I would take her again.

Ms. Allen is a very good teacher. I would take her again and recommend her. The class i took was a hybrid accelerated so that was kind of hard and a lot of people didnt do well or dropped the class. Its worth it though if you can learn fast and teach yourself. Ms. Allen isn't super strict and is very nice and will help you as much as she can.

GIves you little quizzes you can google the answers and boost your grade- gives you study guides that she goes over if you ask, grades the labs easily. It is a hard course but she gives you so much stuff to study with it doesn't make it impossible. I had to retake this because I failed it previously and now because of her im passing with a B.

I took her Animal Science class this fall semester, and it was alright. Four exams, lab about once a week, and a 5 minute presentation as the final. Talks for 2 hours reading from power points, so if you skip the notes are all online. Gotta study for the exams though, can be difficult but not horribly bad.

Love love love her. As long as you show up to class and pay attention you'll be fine for the tests. They're open note, too. She's a great professor. Lectures are very interesting. I had a lot of fun and will be taking another one of her classes.

True gem of a human being very authentic. Cares about each one of her students. Her office and email are always open. Takes pride in her work. Eats, breaths, sleeps anatomy and equine science. Very personable. Classes are challenging though she definitely has high expectations, but she's in your corner and wants you to succeed in life.

Took her for both Anp 1/2 really makes you work for your grade, but it's so fulfilling. Seeing the class dwindling from 20+ students to 10 and knowing that you're accomplishing something means a lot. Honestly, she makes you feel like you can do anything be anything not many professors can do that. Have no bad things to say about her life changing.

Professor Allen was awesome. It was a hybrid and accelerated so it was a lot of info for 5 weeks. She was available at the end of each class for question and help. She cares about her students success and is exceptionally knowledgable in AP II. I highly recommend Professor Allen.

Great Professor!! Very knowledgeable and cares about her students success. I am taking her again for a second accelerated hybrid course! It is a lot of work in a short time but she gives you all due dates, quiz and test dates in syllabus!! TAKE NOTES on her camtassa lectures!! She says more then what is ready in the slides.

Take the hybrid class. She gives answers to the study guides in the lectures she posts online. Pick your lab partners wisely.

Love Professor Allen, although I struggle with Anatomy and Physiology, she made it very doable. She is the only Professor im glad I took an 8am class for. Shes really great at relating topics to real life things to help students better understand. Took her for an accelerated course and did fine.

Love love love Professor Allen! Took her 3 times for Bio 115, Bio 116, and Bio 216 (I'm an equine Science major). Would've taken her for more if I could've fit her classes into my schedule. Deeply cares about her students and you'll leave with a full appreciation of the subject. Isn't an easy A, but if you put the time in, you'll do well.

I thoroughly enjoyed A&P II with Professor Allen. I took the accelerated summer course so I watched her lectures online at home. They were extremely helpful and easy to watch. The labs and tests were completed in class. Labs were fun and not difficult. I studied very heavily and was able to manage an A in the class. But you will have to study hard!

Took her for Accelerated Hybrid A&P I in fall semester, and it was amazing. Definitely have to put time into lectures, notes, and studying, but if you make use of the time you will do well. Also gives extra credit for doing study guides (COMPLETELY), and they're very helpful for the exams. Although the labs aren't hard, pick a good lab group.

She is nice and a pretty good prof. 3 tests, weekly online quizzes, weekly lab reports. Class has off-campus labs.

Prof. Allen is awesome and super understanding/caring. took her for animal science and she really cares about what she's teaching to the class. 4 exams and 1 project that she goes over in the beginning of the semester that isn't due til the end of the semester. really interesting class, I learned a lot! she's a sweetheart.

I love love love love love love Emily Allen. I'm so happy I had the privilege of taking 3 of her classes. Kind, smart, caring, and knows what she's doing. I learned so much thanks to her. She also helped me more than my own Advisor at the school in terms of my future.

I took this accelerated course over 5 weeks in the Winter - it took easily 4 hours/day to finish the 2 chapters and quiz days. Labs varied a lot on time needed. Even though I didn't perfect all the labs, she gave me a 100 on all of them. That helped a lot. Extra $221 for lab kit & $88 for online text and quiz access - very expensive class.

This class definitley requires a lot of studying for the exams/quizzes, but she gives you all the information you need in the study guides. If you put a solid effort into the labs and complete them, she will give you full credit. Would take her class again

Taking this class this semester. I am trying to continue with her for A&P 2. She is very responsive and helpful. Her lectures are clear and thorough. If you do your assignments and study using her guides you will be successful in this class.

I enjoyed taking A&P II with Professor Allen. Although it was online, she made her class easy to follow and I felt that I learned a lot more information than I did in A&PII. Would recommend!

One of the best professors I have ever had! She is very knowledgable and answers all and any questions I may have. I have a lot of respect for her and would take her for every class if I could. As long as you are dedicated and put in the work to read the material and study, you are golden. Her lectures are also very clear and informative.

Took this as an accelerated summer class, so it was a lot of work in a little amount of time. Professor Allen was very easy to communicate with, gives study guides for exams, and her Camtasia's are very detailed and easily explained. There is no extra credit, but a quiz for each chapter, and lab. I would definitely recommend Professor Allen!

Will give career path advice, very nice, organized. Lots of small quizzes and exams are needed to be studied for but manageable. Very clear instructions for all assignments and learned a lot from this class.

Professor Allen was exceptional. I was nervous going into this class. I took her class accelerated, so it was a 12-week class condensed to 5 weeks. I was not expecting to do as well as I did in this class. Professor Allen promptly responds to emails and is among the most approachable professors I've encountered. I wish I could have her for A&P2.
