I learned alot in Psych of Women. She gives alot of work - many articles to read and answer questions on but it is worth it. Many multiple choice to prepare. There are also short papers to write. Everyone should take this class! I enjoyed it!

Nice lady, but very unorganized and her class is boring. The class is easy as long as you read the text book. She gives quizzes constantly which is a little annoying, but the quizzes and exams are easy as long as you have read the textbook. I give her a B- as a prof.

She's adorable and she loves Psychology. She's always sharing stories about her own personal life. She does show a few boring videos, but they're tolerable. She doesn't give much work, except for taking notes on every chapter which she allows to use on quizzes. She also lets you have a partner on tests and use two index cards. She's a cute lady.

Her class isn't bad..partner quizes and tests.. keeps you til the last minute but you learn a lot and can earn extra credit easily.

Dr. Filardo is so passionate about what she does, sometimes it seems overbearing.She is an intelligent woman. The work load can seem like a lot, but she is willing to work w/ you. Her tests are easy, and her grading as well. I've taken her 3x and have been pleased w/ my grades each time. She can be a bit goofy, but you gotta love her.

i enjoyed her class.. it can get a little boring when you go over the chapters that she makes u outline the night before but other wise, just do the summarys and study from her study guides and you will get an A

I liked this class a lot more than I expected. Very clear, helpful. Interesting discussions w/ examples from real life. Great professor. Very dedicated. Nice lady. Take exams w/ a partner -- u learn a lot but less stress. Awesome study guides. Use them- they help.

Filardo is a very passionate about what she teaches. Always excited to share new topic. She does give a lot of work (hw) but is lenient with lateness. She keeps class till last minute. Provides reviews for all exams but not early enough. Very fair grader. My final grade was higher than I expected. Would take again.

ALWAYS LATE. She was never on time once for are class and always kept us later even though it was a 2hour 40minute class. She had a habit of going off topic but her quizzes were so simple. Tests were in partners with an index card of notes. Got an A and didn't really have to try that hard.

Psych of Women is an interesting class but the workload is ridiculous; it's as if she does not realize that some of us have other classes. Also she gets way off topic and we don't always go over everything we need to to prepare for the tests. The tests you can work on with a partner with notes, but they are long and hard because of the wording.

I love her! She is so passionate, interesting, really makes you think! I had her a few years ago for General and she was late alot but she isn't now. She gives awesome, detailed study guides for the multiple choice exams and you actually don't mind writing the take-home essays -- they are actually interesting questions related to your life.

She is one of the best professor's that I have had at Kean. She takes into account that her students have other classes, she is very understandable and reasonable

Tests are from her notes. Lets you work with partner on the tests. Her practice questions are taken from the actual test. If you study her notes, go to class, and hand in your assignments (really simple), you'll be fine.

I had her for Psy of Women... Overall she is a good professor. May be late at times, but you learn alot from her class. Take home exams, journals and a project. Very understanding and easy to talk to. Do all your homework on time and come to class you should be fine.

Great class, great professor. Learned about things I'd never even thought about. Really eye opening--what college is supposed to be about. I'm a guy,and she never made me feel like the class was against us. Very dedicated teacher. Showed up the day her mother was having heart surgery. Take her, you'll learn a lot. I honestly don't think she's a good teacher while we can use notes and a partner her test are RIDICULOUSLY hard! Also she is very scatterbrained and unorganized! I won't recommend her not the best.

What a wonderful woman! She goes out of her way to make students feel good about themselves and she will bend over backwards to help you do well in her class. She is NOT scattered at all and her tests are appropriate for college level.Only problem is she doesn't get the credit she deserves- shes one of the nicest teachers I have ever met...honestly

Excellent professor. My 2nd time with her. Very enthusiastic and friendly. Mixes lectures discussion, group,films. Likes when students talk about the real world.But she's also a fanatic about theories, but she makes them actually interesting. Fun class you learn a lot, tests aren't easy but if you do the work you will get an A or B.

Professor FILARDO is the best - she got me sooo interested in social psychology. I was inspired by her hard work, she does talk alot & reads paragraph after paragraph of material from the book, but other than that she's a fun teacher OVERALL.

Class was very interesting she shows films which have to do with the material. Tests are open notes but you must study while preparing your notes. She gives small assignments and group work. The only negatives are she is a little unorganized, doesnt respond to emails, and presentation assignment was too long and boring.

So very boring. With the exception that she loves using power points but can't understand the tec. so it was funny to watch her try and figure it out. She hands out way more work than I was used to. She tries way too hard to implement what she teaches in class. Would not take her again because I didn't learn much of anything.

Dr. Filardo is one of the most knowledgeable Psychology professors at Kean, and she really gets across that feminism is for guys,too. Take her. You will learn a lot. She will open your eyes. Gradewise I did okay but could have done better if I'd taken ALL her quizzes. They're annoying but you don't even have to do that well on them. Good class.

Dr. Filardo's class was a very good class. I took her in the summer so there were few classes. There was a lot of material to cover and do in the short amount of time that we had and the tests were overwhelming but they were take home open book. She is very passionate about psychology of women and feminism and I admire her for that.

Professor Filardo is very friendly, and approachable. She is a tough grader, but she is very very passionate on what she teaches!! you will definitely learn from her lectures. All you have to do is show up, and do your work!! She is also very understanding with her students. Be prepare for a whole lot of quizzes and exams!. LOVED HER!!!!

I liked her as a professor, she likes to interact with her class. All tests are online and she likes to send lots of emails, she truly cares for her students and wants them all to do well.

This professor was excellent. Homework/ quiz do every class. Everything is done online which is great. and 3 online TEST. must go to class she does check, if you are not going to be there let her know, she understanding. class can be a tad boring so bring things to keep you busy.

One of the best professors I've had at Kean. She cares deeply about the topics discussed and shows enthusiasm for the subject at hand. We need more professors like Professor Filardo who can engage students in interactive activities to open up their mind. Highly recommended.

Dr. Filardo is amazing one of the best professors I had here at kean. Everything for class is blackboard including exams and quizzes and they are all open book which helps lot. We watched many videos in class and had great discussions. I really enjoyed this class and would definitely take her again if I had the chance.

Professor knows what she's talking about & is always interested in hearing your thoughts & perspective. Her insight & lessons changed how I view our society & my life. I thought she allowed students to push her back on assignments but there is a lot of thought-provoking homework. Excellent professor!

Dr. Filardo is a very intelligent person and you take what you put in with her. You learn what you put into the class! She is very understanding and lenient but she does have hard deadlines. It is a very test heavy class but they're very clear. I would recommend her if you are open-minded and want to learn about the application of social psych.

At first I was apprehensive about having a white professor for this course simply because of the material being covered surrounded racism. However, Dr. Filardo is a phenomenal professor in this topic and is a well educated ally. The topics covered were very interesting and created great class discussions and the assignments were fun.

She is a professor who has a lot of passion for what she is teaching. She is not perfect but she does her best to understand and that is the best part about her teachings. She does however post a lot of notifications on canvas, most filler and she assigns a lot of homework. There is a lot of reading but honestly, it gave me a whole new perspective.

Across the board she is really well-educated in what she teaches and it shows in her lectures. I learned a lot throughout the semester and the additional material (like films or articles) helped bring concepts to the real world. The workload can be a bit overwhelming so you definitely need to have good time management. Participate and go to class!

Took this course with the professor and was initially apprehensive, but they turned out to be a great ally. Interesting topics and engaging discussions. Assignments were fun too. Unstuck AI was a helpful study tool.
