I took her Introduction to Marketing class. Straightforward & fair. There are no surprises in her class. I gave her a 3 for helpfulness since there were times when she didn't respond to my emails. The assignments were not clear to me either. Sometimes the instructions had no page numbers. I figured it out eventually though.

I have taken Bus54 & Bus90 - Bus54 my first year back to school after 20 years & Prof. Garbe was so patient and helpful to me she made the experience great. I decided to take Bus 90 online. Once again, it was a very pleasant experience and if I hadn't already taken Bus 10, I would take another class from her.

My favorite part was the project where we got to create our own marketing plan for Netflix. Friends from outside the class even thought I was working for Netflix! This is by second consecutive class with her and she is so lovely. Her office is always open so you can just swing by to ask for help or clarification. No midterms, finals or tests. Only 2 mini projects: A presentation, a mini research paper. If you can get an A on the presentation you can literally not do the paper and still get an A.

I took her fast-paced online class (6 weeks). There were 4 papers (short & easy, read the book & follow her instructions). Quizzes & exams were multiple-choice questions. You can google some questions, but some are paraphrased by her. Tip: save answers of your quizzes, you will meet some again in exams.

There are 2 quizzes/week + a comprehensive Marketing paper that is written in parts throughout the class + midterm + final. Yes, the Proctorio app felt a little invasive but you are allowed to have paper notes for exams. Also, you can turn in late assignments for 25% deduction. Easy-ish A if you are willing to work for it and meet all deadlines.

Read the textbook, print out lecture slides and listen to lectures and it's almost a guaranteed A. Turn in work early for EC. Awesome class!

Professor Garbe's course was straightforward and very manageable during the pandemic. Two quizzes/week, midterm, final, & 3 mini-written assignments. Her instructions will confuse you, she makes things seem harder than they really are. Assignments can mostly be done through her videos, but she does create questions that make sure you grasp/read.

She's an amazing teacher. You have about 1-2 chapter quizzes a week, and 1 assignment and her lecture videos are long but informational. We do use the textbook and some of the lectures do not have information from the textbook. She does curve the midterms and final. The quizzes and the midterm and very important.

Great teacher! I'm taking her again for marketing. Extra credit saved me so make sure to turn in your assignments earlier. There were two lectures and two quizzes a week. Sometimes there would be one lecture and quiz and a mini paper. The mini papers were super easy, straight forward, and were not graded harshly at all. I highly recommend it!

Super easy class and nice professor. There's a few written assignments and a mc chapter quiz every week. She gives a ton of ec for just turning in assignments early. Lectures are pretty short and just goes over slides so read the textbook. The exams are all multiple choice, but not open internet (only paper notes).

I took this class online during winter 2021 quarter and enjoyed it. the teacher answers all the questions very fast, helps you if you need help. there will be a lot of reading and assignments, so don't procrastinate. if you turn the papers in two days early, you get extra points. overall, I learned a lot and reccomend this class and professor

This is a great business class for the program! Assignments and readings were very interesting and provided a wealth of information. You'll set up a business plan throughout the class which can get tricky, but it's the best part. Reading & quizzes otherwise. Teacher is an easy grader, no late assignments, no extra credit. Prof. is very supportive.

Seriously one of the best teachers I've ever had. The coursework is difficult but she does a really good job of explaining it.

Get ready to learn: Professor Garbe is highly organized and isn't light on the work - you have to work for your grade. But she is very clear with her expectations, and offers extra credit once in a while. She knows what she's talking about, and its a great class for those new to business.

Honestly the class was not bad at all. Her instructions may sound strict or too harsh, but it's actually really simple and easy to follow. Don't overthink anything as it's surprisingly easier than you'll think. Textbook is free/given by professor. Do the extra credit, submit papers early, and you'll do fine.

As the others said, she makes her class sound much harder than it is but it's pretty easy. An A+ is not hard to get, but you have to put effort into it so don't expect this class to be a GPA booster. Her quizzes have very short time limits so you should study beforehand. She does not allow you to redo the quiz even if you lose internet connection.

Took intro to bus with on-campus lectures but the textbook (open source) was the main base for material. The prof gives a ton of extra credit and is really organized. Knows what she's talking about and is nice to students outside of lectures as well. Class was easy and open note, maybe not the most engaging lectures but a good prof!

When you are first confronted with a 20+ page syllabus, this class can seem very intimidating but it's not hard at all. Instructions are very clear, weekly quizzes with 3 big exams every fourth week, 4 or 5 mini-sims and two papers (one at the beginning of the quarter and one is a midterm). Lecture notes are very useful and textbook is opensource.

ok,so she is a very easy teacher all of her quizzes are found online but the first exam is difficult youll need to study and understand how to calculate and stuff.please dont take this class in the summer hw is 2 quizzes every 2 days and a weekend break.exam2 like 90% of questions are found online and are key terms.take notes on video reviw text gl

Do the work and you'll easily get an A. Lectures are dry but her expectations are laid out clearly and as long as you read the chapters and study her lecture print out you'll do fine on the quizzes and exams. Would take her again.

Mrs. Garbe puts a lot of effort into the simulations, which are great practice for real application of marketing concepts. She was easy to get ahold of during office hours. She does record some lectures but they don't include as many unique examples as I would like. Still really enjoyed the class and learned so much.

Dr. Garbe is the academic developer you will need for your future career and life path! She mixes her professional experiences in the lecture videos which is far beyond teaching just the textbook. She also gives great advice on how you can achieve your academic and career goal efficiently while studying in college. She is such an Angel!

answers are searchable, but when it comes to minisims u gotta understand material. uses real life examples in lectures amazing. just do ur work easy A. there wasn't homework, but there were 1-2 weekly quizzes (summer quarter). overall kind teacher.

Lots of extra credit

she gave so many extra credits. online quiz for every lectures and most of the answers can be found online. Free textbook. All exams are open notes. mini sims are kinda hard but if you understand the materials well you're good to go.

Professor gives a lot of extra credit making it very hard to get anything lower than an A. Other than the quizzes and lecture video quizzes which are both easy, she gives mini-sims which are sometimes questionable but shouldn't affect your grade too much. Exams are very easy and straight forward.

Although her quizzes and tests are kind of hard, she gives out a lot of extra credit and also gives out a lot opportunities to make up for any mistakes. Basically if you work hard and put in time, you'll be able to get a good grade. She also gives out a lot of advices both for the tests and in real life.

She's helpful in many ways to each student allowing and giving everyone a chance to pass her class. She in informative in her lectures and is always there to help you succeed. What's great about her is she gives out extra credit so you can achieve in the course.

Highly recommend! Professor Garbe's insight into business is invaluable. Her lectures are a combination of the class material and examples from her personal experience. Be sure to ask questions! That's the bread and butter. There are PLENTY of extra credit opportunities. An "A+" is very achievable, as long as you are willing to put in some effort.

I'm currently taking her class and she is a super good professor, lectures are short but she teaches a lot and has a lot of good real world examples and explanations. She gives tons of extra credit and our class average grade is an 87%, very easy in this class to get a good grade if you show up and pay attention, workload isn't drastic at all.

Easy peasy class. Just listen to her lectures and you'll get all the info needed for exams. Exams are open notes and plenty of time given. Homework was LONG though. Uses MH Connect for all assignments. Multiple choice, I.E; Complete 45 concepts; Answers 6 questions = 1 concept completed. Homework = hours long! But easy A and you learn a lot.
