Coolest prof. I have ever had. She really listens to her students and goes the extra distance for someone in trouble. I haighly recommend her for someone who is serious about their education. She is outstanding!!!!!!

Awesome teacher. She reaaly cares and helps people who are serious. She can see a dead beat a mile away so stay clear if you aren't serious about school or your future.

Anyone who rates the prof badly did not try in this class. She is willing to go the distance for her students. You get what you give. A poor rating on the prof came from a student who gave little and got the same. She is an outstanding educator.

WONDERFUL TEACHER! She pushes you to work harder but knows and believes in her students. Tough grader but extremely fair. I received an A' in her class but I have never worked so hard for something that I didn't want.She was encouraging and inspirational. Funny as well. Coolest Prof ever.(She says that alot... Mrs. Gwinn is an outstanding educator! GCC should be honored to have her. Lectures are interesting and funny. I actually wanted to go to class. She is extremely helpful and fair. Just do the reading assignments, have an opinion, and turn your papers in on time. She is one of my favorite professors at GCC.

She doesn't let the fact that she is from Indiana hamper her ability to teach at the college level. She is an excellant teacher, but must be constantly reminded that she is not nearly as cool as she thinks she is. Overall, my favorite English teacher ever.

She makes learning fun, is always there to help, and truly wants you to succeed. Mrs. G is my favorite professor EVER, period.

She is the most awesome english teacher! She lets you pick on what you write about and the topic you write on. Compared to most other english teachers who make you write on water the whole semester or write poetry.

She is by far the best teacher ever. She is so cool, and half way through the semester you get a least one week off from her class its amazing. She uses exaples from other students from the past(with permission. I am definitely going to take her for 102 next semester.

She is an awesome prof. 101 is a composition class and she is totally committed to helping you learn and grow as a writer. She goes out of her way to make lectures interesting. I'm not too sure how easy/hard she is on grading; it's 6 traits and writing has always been easy for me. Very friendly and always willing to help but a little hyper.

I have taken this teacher before for ENG 102 and I absolutely love her. She treats her students like adults and not like overgrown high school students. She talks to you like she is one of the students. She is an easy grader and she is really nice. She answers any questions and is willing to help her students out with anything. Take her class!

Very fun professor. you actually want to come to class. she makes learning fun and very very interesting. never will be a boring class, she helps you out whenever, class is pretty easy just do your essays and you'll be fine.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER. She tells her own personal stories and relates it to the class so its easy and enjoying to understand!

Best teacher at GCC for english! She's hilarious and relates to the students as well. She makes a connection with each student and is very helpful if there is something that you don't understand. I've learned more in her class than other english classes this far at GCC. Best instructor there hands down! Make sure you take her class!

I love her class! We always get guidelines on how to write our papers and enough time to finish and meet the deadline. She's very considerate. Those who hate her are the ones who are always late or never attended her class at all and never submitted papers on time. She taught me not just about how to write papers but valuable lessons in life!

If you can read, you should pass this class. Lots of reading and everyday is a class discussion about the previous nights reading. Due dates are very, very loose. Hilarious teacher!

This woman is brilliant in every sense of the word. She is extremely hilarious, and easy on the eyes. She talks to you not at you, and makes the material easy to understand. Take this class! and sit in the front row, it's worth it.

Abo****ely amazing teacher-one of the best I ever had! Funny, sweet, and knew how to make every minute of class interesting! The "take a brick and make it interesting" type of teacher. Ms. Gwinn is a very funny professor. She makes the time in her class go by insanely fast. She lets you write your essays on anything you want. The only I don't like is that she's kind of slow when it comes to grading. Other than that, she's amazing!

She won't just help you with english. she will help you with any aspect of college. integrates her funny stories into her lessons. You write 4 papers and 2 letters throughout the semester. She's amazing. and she LOVES diet coke.

Very understanding. Let me turn my paper in a week late because i kept getting called into work. One time i needed help on my conclusion on wednesday, but was very sick. came to class friday and it was due, and i explained that to her. She felt my forehead and wrote a note on my paper about it. and a tip, she's bored of serious issues, be silly.

Ms Gwinn is one of those teachers that likes to talk to her students about her life and about what's on the news and gets personal with them. She is very lenient with assignments. She's pretty chill BUT keep in mind that she doesn't grade papers. I took her for 101 and 102 and in those two semesters I only got one of my graded essays back.

I really liked her class. It wasn't hard and I didn't learn much but I felt very comfortable in her class and it was one of my classes that balanced out my harder classes, as not much is due and her class is very relaxing and stress free. She is very helpful and understanding if something comes up or if you miss class or come late a lot. Good class

She has taught me soo much!! by far the best professors I've had experience with. she wants all of her students to be successful and is sooo kind-hearted to everyone. ill be taking as many classes as i can with her. If you want an easy A I suggest that you take this class. We only did 3 essays and they were almost one month apart from each other. She canceled the class once every week! Easiest class I've ever had and I loved how she doesn't care about anything. As long as you turn in the three essays, you should be able to pass with an A. Awesome Teacher.

Want an easy A? Take this teacher. We only did 4 papers the entire semester, in which you have about 3 weeks to do each. She missed class at least once every two weeks. However, throughout all of this kindness, she is still a tough grader, so don't think you did amazing because she will find at least a dozen mistakes. You will hear funny stories!

Fun class! All she does is read Children's picture books but the course is literally "Children's Literature" so that makes sense. You have about 5 assignments overall so don't slack off! One thing I don't like is that she waits until the end to grade things so you never know what your grade is... OH SHE TELLS GREAT STORIES AND IS VERY FUNNY SO PLUS

I love this professor. She is so funny and makes class fun/interesting. Her classes are so laid back and easy! I would take her as your last class of the day, though, because she gets sick often and misses days.

I had a great time taking this class. Covid had made it online sadly but she was really responsive to any messages or any helped that I needed. Very easy assignments, all requirements are in rubric. If you do it, and turn it on time, done correctly. Youll receive an A+. One of my favorite professors truly!

COVID-19 made the school year exceedingly rough online. Professor Gwinn is an outstanding teacher and I absolutely loved her class. This year has been full of all sorts of emotions for everyone im sure, for me its been negative. An absolutely wonderful professor. My favorite to be honest. She was so helpful. With it being online it helped a lot having that extra and kind help. Always willing to work with accommodations or mistakes. If you do the work and listen to the rubric and what she wants. You'll get a 100%. Not a hard class at all. I recommend this professor to all.

Professor Gwinn is such a sweet, caring, and funny human being and she was my favorite professor out of my 5 classes. She replied to all of my submissions with funny or supportive statements, which were always a delight to read, and she is is very lenient with her assignments and grading. I recommend her for those who want a chill/fun professor.

Overall great teacher and wonderful person who truly loves what she does. There is ample reading material to choose what to write on, the questions she asks are clear, and the work is light while providing just as much meaning and learning as other teachers with twice the workload. Due dates are forgiving, and there's extra credit! Wonderful class!

Class is canceled often due to chronic migraines, but the lectures are made up other days, and anything due the day of cancellation is extended. Really understanding, and helpful.
