This professor is bubbly/organized. In a 12 week course there is more homework. This professor had us doing 6 assignments and a paper due in a week on day one. That seemed a bit excessive (I could be wrong on that). She came out of the gate with all kinds of rules which reminded me of high school. She wanted all our cells in a box during Covid NO!
This was a 12 week English class, so get ready for homework and papers. There are 2 or 3 assignments due each week, and 5 paragraph essays due every 3 weeks. Prof. Smeltz is available outside of class and gives TONS of extra credit opportunities. This is NOT an easy A class, but if you at least put in effort, you will pass.
Professor Smeltz makes attendance mandatory by assigning it points towards your grade; however, she only makes you come once a week. One class day is lecture, and one class day is a workshop where she helps you with homework and papers. She also lets you redo papers for a better grade. I would take her again!
Miss smeltz makes homework due by the end of the week, but she gives you a one week extension. (Except for essays, those have a hard deadline). So, she basically gives you two weeks to complete assignments. She also is willing to have zoom meetings with you if you still have questions outside of class.
Some people think that Prof. Smeltz's class is hard, but I compared to some other college classes, hers is seems easy. You have weekly assignments due every Sunday, and you are expected to go to class each week. Miss Smeltz also provides many extra credit opportunities and gives you a 1-week extension on most assignments. Great class!
she is a great professor, she gives a lot of extra credit, and she helps you with any questions you have.
Mrs. Smeltz is very thorough in her lectures. She provides in-depth information about the assignments and how to complete them.
Wants you to pass
Professor Smeltz is an awesome lecturer. She is easy to reach and gives constructive criticism when asked. She also is understanding and provides ample time to complete coursework.
She was very great professor, I will tell others students take her. this professor was five stars.
By far one of the best teachers i have had all semester . She was very helpful and gave a lot of resources to help with your assignments , she gives you more than enough time to complete everything and even gives extensions . Would recommend 100 percent
Always on time, very punctuate!
Professor Smeltz is a very chill person. She s always on time and organized.
She has three easy jobs to do every week, and she is always willing to help if you have any questions.
She is a pretty good teacher all around, just don't have your phone out in class. One thing though is that the class is a snooze fest it is pretty dull, and she doesn't have a whole lot of outgoingness. Her lectures are pretty thorough, and she gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. all in all she is your average English teacher.
The best teacher
Mrs. Smeltz is a great teacher! She's been very helpful; She also gives extra credit and gives great feedback if interested. I would take her class again! :)
Smeltz is a very caring teacher that is easy to work with, easy to talk to, and teaches complex topics very easily. She is easily accessible through email and is one of the better professors in the school. Not too much homework is given, but some assignments can dictate the way your grade looks in the end.
Professor Smelz is a great teacher. She is a tough grader but gives plenty of extra credit opportunities!
A very straightforward class have not had any problems what so ever. All you have to do is pretty much show up, listen, and ask questions if you have any.
Be prepared to read and write. She is very emphatic just talk to her and she will help you.
That she's a guareented be if you do your assignments. The lectures are more of us watching videos than talking. Nothing wrong with that but if you need help ask for it as well as feedback. She won't help unless you ask.
Really good professor, very nice.
I was a student of Madam Smeltz, and frankly, She knows how to deal with students. that's all I can say, she is excellent.
the professor is very friendly
She gives good feedback and explains subjects thoroughly
She is a great teacher. She is very easy to understand. Gives a lot of extra credit, not all teachers do that.
Her teaching style is good, and I understand the material
Professor Smeltz was awesome! She takes the time to explain the assignments and how to receive a passing grade. This showed she genuinely cares about her student's education and wants everyone to succeed in her class. She also gives lots of extra credit which was a plus.
Prof. Emily Smeltz is an amazing professor.
Prof. Emily is an amazing professor.
Prof. Emily is amazing and being in her class has been lovely.
Being in Prof. Emily's class has been a wonderful experience and I enjoyed her class.
Very good teacher. She is very easy to understand. Gives many extra credit opportunities. Not all teachers do that.
Very good teacher. She gave opportunities for extra credit
Great feedbacks.
Responsive every time I had a question which I liked a lot. Also, the study material was easy to understand and follow.
Mrs. Smeltz is a overall great teacher
Shes a great teacher!!!
Do not sleep in class, respect her, participate, and do your homework.
Pretty strict with deadlines and how things need to be in order to receive full grade, but there is tons of extra credit and enough time to complete everything. Extremely fair
This teacher uses the excuse that she has "3 jobs" to use against you for when you need support from her
teaching skills are great and she is willing to put in extra time for you to understand
Participation and attendance are important in class, as well as returning things on time.
I would say she is a great professor! she is an easy listener and her emails are always up for answers. She gives out extra credit to keep your grade above average it shouldn't be hard to fail her class.
I really enjoyed this class and love the lectures, I wish I could've had more vocabulary and more methods of learning to better my English, knowing is not my first language, This class was challenging for me because I am not used to taking classes online, but I gave it my best effort.
She is Great
Ms. Smeltz is an amazing professor who will happily give you the tools to succeed as long as you are willing to accept them. She is very direct about her grading process but gives the students many sources to improve their writing to make sure we are achieving success.
Professor Smeltz is the best professor I've ever had she gives us easy tips through videos like writing, grammar, etc., she always answers the questions we ask when struggling. Give lots of extra credit opportunities to help get good grades. I recommended anyone who takes this course should take this professor!
Prof. Smeltz is the best professor to take for this class!! I highly suggest her!! I wish she was my teacher for my next college comp class because of how awesome she is!!
This teacher is great. If you follow what she says, it's basically a free A in the class.
The professor is tough on grades. She doesn't just hand them out. You have to work for it. But she is also very easy when emergency issues come up to help you get the credit for the day. I plan on taking her next class next semester.
Pay attention to the videos.
Emily Smeltz was really good. She helped you go over your work and made the lectures very clear. She doesn't like giving out 100%, but she offers plenty of extra credit opportunities.
Professor Smeltz is very nice to students. She is happy to help or explain things clearly. I do not feel sleepy or bored with her lectures. She does not allow students to turn in assignments late. Although she rarely gives students 100% on assignments, she allows students to get extra credits. I am going to take ENC1101 with her for next semester.
Professor Smeltz is a great teacher. Gives you a lot of extra credit opportunities.
Class is easy you just have to be engaged
Professor Smeltz's whole entire course was very organized and straight forward. Her grading isn't too tough but also isn't lenient. If you're looking for a steady going course, professor is for you.
This class is on the more difficult side for me just because it has a lot of information to it, but the professor does a great job of making all the information well-known and able to be understood.
This class is simple because of the lenient turn in dates and clear rubric.
She is a hard grader, even on the simple extra credit, she will mark points off. My computer was not working and she took off points because she could not see my screen when my computer was glitching.
The professor might be a tough grader but she gives us the reality of how college really is and that college is not like high school. But she is really nice and very approachable and gives good feedback so our assignments get a good grade. Her teaching style is great because after every lecture we play a Kahoot and that is like a review.
She is great at what she does.
I was very nervous when I took this class as it was my first time in an English class. However, Emily made it much easier for me. She was patient and understanding, even when my pronunciation was imperfect. She was always willing to help me with whatever I needed and provided plenty of resources to complete my homework.
It was my first year attending college and she made it a great experience for me. She is a tough grader and doesn't hand out 100's unless you actually earned it. She does give you many extra credit opportunities and constantly reminds you about them. You'll pass this class if you do her assignments. She is very helpful and gives feedback when asked
Professor Smeltz is a tough grader but fair. Lectures are clear and understandable.
She is a very tough, honest, and caring teacher.
She's a wonderful lady and the class itself is super easy!! Just expect to get everything done by Sunday and you'll be ok :)
Great professor! I was very nervous about taking this class because English is my second language. However, thanks to her, I understand the English language much better. I would 100% recommend her and would definitely take her as my professor again.
She is very kind.
As long as you attend class and pay attention, you will pass.
Great professor! Goes over all her assignments and explains them, is open to questions, gives out plenty of extra credit opportunities, will not give you an easy 100%
She is a very nice person
The professor is very good, very patient, and very responsible. He helped me improve my English skills and consolidate my basic abilities. The professor is very friendly.
Professor Smeltz was a good teacher. She's a very tough grader; however, she offers many opportunities to do things for extra credit, and I enjoyed the Kahoot games we played.
Professor Emily Smeltz is very friendly and helpful. She is the best professor I have ever had.
She is a good teacher, explains the class very well, and always arrives on time.
very serious professor, very professional ,and has excellent technical skills teaching.
She help you white your assignment and over in class white you , her class is Amazing she nice and she not bad all i think a lot students should take, she is every kind. She not hard on the students.because she Know English is not first language for the students she take it slow whit the students, i love her she is every good.
Emily can be a tough grader sometimes, and also doesn't let her students do retakes. But in general, she's a loving and understanding professor.
I feel lucky to be a student of Professor Smellz. She is very active, friendly, and willing to help you. She rarely gives you full credit on assignments, but you can get extra grades with quizzes and games. You should submit your work on time. In general, she is one of my favorite professors.
Professor Smeltz is one who will give you every chance to succeed. If you put forth the effort and really listen, you can succeed and walk away actually learning something. I always had my questions answered and received positive critique that helped me improve. Great professor!
She is very nice and friendly.
She dont play, if you arent commited to trying your hardest, voicing if you dont understand something, and taking notes--- just withdraw.
She is a very open and helpful but very strict on went she wants
she is a VERY hard grader, to the point where she will ask you what you learned for the week and mark your answer wrong. i do not recommend. You will never get feedback neither.
Good teacher
good old school teacher real by the book
Professor Smeltz made this an easy course to take; as long as you do your work, don't fall behind, and take advantage of the extra credit she offers, you can get a good grade. I would recommend her to anyone who is struggling with writing.
Awesome teacher!
You have to do the work to pass her class. She gives a lot of extra credits.
Extremely tough grader especially when she does not like you. Also when it comes to grading, she is very strict on how she wants you to complete it or else you will receive a bad grade. You will be marked late if you do as little as check the time on your watch. You will also be marked late if you do not take notes.
In fact I am online student, so I don't have any particular suggestion for students about my professor . She is great to me . I never meet with her but so far I am totally satisfied to her . I felt comfort to communicate with her . In a word very nice to me .
Professor Smeltz is a fare grader. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and allows extentions on assignments. She is chill.
Prof Smeltz provides extra credit opportunities and allows extensions on assignments.
She gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities so passing the class should not be hard unless you are lazy.
Good professor just wish she gave more feedback and more of an understanding of said feedback.
Professor Smeltz is a tough grader, but she offers many opportunities to receive extra credit. She will not give you feedback unless you ask for it. She will always help you out if you just ask. She also gives a week extension on your assignments. You will pass if you do your work. This class helped me with how to improve my writing and grammar.
She is very knowledgeable, helpful, and very respectful. She has amazing technique in her lectures.
She is very knowledgeable, helpful, and respectful. She has amazing technique in her lectures. She answered all questions in a very respectful manner, and I am very pleased to have taken her class.
The Professor Emily is good ,very patient, and she teach very well.
She is always available to help and it's an easy A if you do all the work
Attendance is mandatory.
Mrs. Smeltz is very nice and helpful once you complete your work and try your best you'll be fine .
she is very nice, and she offers a bunch of extra credit it's almost impossible to fail her class.
She may be a tough grader but she does give great feedback when asked for. There is also plenty of extra credit to boost your grade a bit, if needed.
.Good teacher
Great
Professor Smeltz is very thorough in her explanations and is generally very nice.
this professor in my opinion gives out an opportunity of extra credit, which I think is an amazing thing she has done for us because it helped with my grade. I one hundred percent would take another one of her classes and so should everyone else.
She is very good and always answers any questions correctly and without confusion.
really nice teacher but is really tough on grading. The Diagnostic essay will determine your whole grade for the semester. So if the essay is a fail or not make sure to do the rest of the homework provided with either a or b. Because once the final draft/ rough draft is graded be prepared because thats what im doing now. Gives good extra credit
great class and professor is great as well, willing to answer any questions no matter how much you have, A tough but fair grader
Mrs Smeltz is very easy to communicate and work with which are one of the most important things that I look for in a teacher
Really enjoyed the class
Professor Smeltz has clear instructions for her class, very well organized, and is a great communicator. Her class is easy as long as you follow her instructions and submit the assignments on time (she even has an extension date and doesn't take points off of that). She is very helpful and open to any questions you may have.
take advantage of extra credit opportunities and late work extensions and you'll be alright
Professor Smeltz is wonderful. I've been her student for three years, and she's always open-minded about questions. If you need help with your homework, you can come to class early or stay after, and she'll be there to assist you. She's always ready to answer all your questions and never considers any question silly.
She makes difficult assignments easier to understand.
Ms. Smeltz is a well organized professor, and her lectures are amazing. She meticulously reviews each week's assignment to make sure that students understand what is expected of them. This ensures that no student is lost or left behind. She is one of the best!
A very good class, she gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and is very easy to get in touch with. She is a very fair grader where she will give you the credit if you have earned it so no free 100s but she grades very fairly.
Professor smeltz is a great professor to have in English composition class
The amount of extra credit makes up for her grading style… She is an “I don't give anyone a 100%” teacher, you will always lose at least 10% off any written assignment. Her extra credit and late policy is good. One week that the assignment is open, then one extra week past due date w/out penalty.
Great professor who is willing to answer questions and the class is incredibly easy for the first 15 weeks up until the final research paper. Offers LOTS of extra credit that can change entire letter grades if you do enough. Overall amazing teacher and is lenient towards late assignments. Only issue is note taking is required but it is only 1 page.
Good professor. Explains assignments weekly. manageable workload, 1-2 assignments a week. There are always at least 1-3 points taken off because ''nothing is perfect''. good feedback if you ask her. mandatory attendance. Sleeping, being on your phone is considered a tardy. 2 tardies= 1 absence. 4= kicked out. Overall, i recommend for comp 1.
Professor Smeltz is probably the best writing teacher I've had so far. She is sometimes a harsh grader, but I'm also not a great writer. For many of the assignments, she provides a clear grading rubric. Her class also includes many extra credit opportunities, and each assignment has a one-week extension. I can comfortably recommend her class.
Professor Smeltz was an overall great professor. If you need someone for ENC1101, I recommend. She does one day lectures where notes are required and checked, and the other day workshop where you can do your work and get help if you need. She also has LOTS of extra credit and a built in extension for assignments, which is really helpful.
This teacher is acually really good. I enjoyed her classad she was very nice. Even though she is a "tough grader", she still gives MANY extra credit opportunities. I took advantage of these and at the moment have 108% in her class. She also gives us a week extension with no penalty which has been very useful to me.
Great Teacher. Any questions answered thoroughly as well as assignments explained clearly. Stay on top of work(WITH a week extension) and the class should be smooth-sailing. Lots of extra credit opportunities as well as practice and prep. Quizzes from anywhere and anytime the class is great. Expect specific grading for specific issues.
She was a great professor. Her assignments were very clear to understand. She provided plenty of extra credit opportunities. She also gave great feedback if you didn't understand something or had a question.
Professor Smeltz is so considerate and supportive. She's flexible with deadlines, easy to contact, doesn't mark us late unless it's over 15 minutes, keeps the workload manageable, provides clear examples/instructions of assignments, and provides so many extra credit opportunities. She has alleviated so much pressure and I genuinely appreciate her.
Professor Smeltz was a great professor for my first college English class. She is a harsh grader but gives very clear instruction on her assignments so it's not hard to make good grades. She also gives great feedback on assignments, especially papers.
Good teacher but often times has personal opinions incorporated into the work. Helpful when it comes to classwork though.
No cap this teacher is ok. I liked her she's really lenient with late work there's one week extension on everything except the final. She only gives out one or two assignments per week. Two classes per week one lecture day and workday. The only thing I didn't like is her grading settings in canvas. You don't get your scores till 2 weeks later.
Professor Smeltz was great. Tough grader but she gives more extra credit than any professor. 100% would take again.
Easy class, Has various extra credit opportunities (from being in showing up somewhere to doing small practice quizzes) Has Kahoot games if class is done early (pairs of 2) Gives feedback (if asked) Final essay must be taken seriously
This was my first college English class, and I wasn't sure what to expect. However, Professor Smeltz makes the class easy as long as you do the work. You get a one-week extension for assignments. The only thing I did not like was that she grades notes, but isn't strict about how much you write.
Proffessor Smeltz is a nice teacher and was clear and precise with her work. She is great to represent how college is like and what to expect for the rest of your time in school.
I would 100% take this class again. Class lectures covered everything you needed to know about our assignments and then some. So much extra credit opportunities as well as plenty of in class time to get assignments done. She is very nice as well
She was helpful in feedback and more than willing to help you with your writing. Attendance is a MUST, she is strict on that.
Lots of extra credit. Easy Class
Very strict about note taking and attendance, but if you are attentive and active in class you will do good. Also, complete assignments in a timely manner. She does not EVER give 100s, "100 means perfect, and no one is ever perfect."
Fair grader, easy class, Plenty of extra credit opportunities and teaches you everything that you would need to pass the class, so you only fail if you do not try.
Professor Smeltz was great! She outlines the work load and schedule from beginning to end. No “tests” only 10-12 question quizzes. 2 essays the whole semester (1 at the beginning and 1 as a final). Majority of assignments are prep for the final. She's very communicative and gives good feedback. Offers plenty of extra credit. Extremely hard to fail!
This professor was amazing! She was very clear on what to do and how to do it. There were very few times I was confused about something in this class, and as soon as I asked about my confusion, she resolved it immediately. Professor Smeltz is very understanding of situations, so just make sure you pay attention and be respectful. Spectacular class!
Her lectures are structured, clear, and easy to understand. She is strict on attendance, so don't forget to sign in each class day. Honestly, she does a great job at breaking down the material into bite-sized portions. Each week is preparing you for the final essay you turn in. Her class is very well put-together.
extremely easy class, you dont learn anything new in the lectures but the end essay is extremely easy. tons of extra credit options tho. the diagnostic essay is very important but after that its chill
Professor Smeltz might look intimidating but she is not. If you have any concerns or having any trouble with any of your work she is always willing to help and answer all your question with a smile on her face. It has really been a pleasure to have her as a Professor.
She gives clear details about assignment and what is required on them. As long as you follow what she wants you'll do good in the class. She gives an 15 minute grace period to be late to class but not be marked as late. Anything after 15 minutes you will be marked as absent. You have different extra credit opportunities to.
Great teacher, respect her class rules and expectations. Gives lots of extra credit work and is lenient with the homework that is given.
An Outstanding English Teacher! An outstanding English teacher! she constant comes up with innovative methods to keep the courses interesting. Whether it's grammar, writing essays, or text analysis, she takes the time to make sure everyone is understanding the subject.
Very helpful as long as you do the work, plenty of extra credit opportunities.
Professor Smeltz offers plenty of extra credit to help boost your grade. Though she's a tough grader, she gives great feedback if asked. unstuck AI proved helpful for study prep alongside the free textbook.
Had a great experience with this Professor. Very nice and fair grader.
Very easy grading and assignments, relies on discussion posts.
She gave a lot of extra credit work. She was lenient with turn in Policies and overall the class was not hard.
she is helpful
So far this is my favorite class, not for nothing, but for me who is learning English, it helps me a lot. It has taught me the basic words that I really need, and it is not just common English, but correct English. Another thing that makes it my favorite is that the teacher is very patient, she is not so demanding, she is very accessible.
Be prepared to write! This course is a writing course and professor Smeltz ensures exactly that is done on a weekly basis via discussions. Online videos on the week's topic are presis, clear and to the point. She grades assignment in a timely manner and always provides feedback. All round awesome professor!! Would definitely take her class again.
Professor Smeltz makes the course very easy and understanding. She always asks if we have questions and she is very hands on with course material.
This professor does not take long to answer emails. Her work is very easy and not very time consuming. Gives extra credit opportunities.
Miss Smeltz was amazing. She really provides you with all the tools to pass. She offers lots of extra credit, gives clear directions, and provides visual examples, which are very helpful. I 100% recommend her.
Knowledge is adequate. Takes several weeks to grade all assignments/delays feedback, not good for 8 week accelerated class. Instructs in syllabus, don't ask her to grade on time. Gives Extra Credit to compensate lack of feedback. Does not promote creativity, her topics or none, several with political agenda.
Professor Smeltz was amazing. This was the best English class I have ever taken. There was a good amount of work, but she sets you up for success on the final the entire time. The video lesson are quick and full of helpful info. She offers plenty of extra credit. She provides a good work/study balance as well. She always answers emails too.
Office Hours are available, tough grader, explains thoroughly and extra credit opportunities
Extra credit opportunities and explains thoroughly
The class was difficult but if you pay attention then you'll be fine. The professor has great communication
attendance is a big deal to her
Great teacher heavy workload
Overall, I liked her class very easy maybe like 2 to 3 assignments a week. Quizzes every now and then but it's mainly grammar. She does do discussion post and sometimes you have to show your face and record yourself but it's not ever over three minutes or so it's not bad
Professor Smeltz was very well organized and each module is easily understood. You are given adequate time to complete the modules, including a one week grace period before being penalized for late submissions. Professor Smeltz also provided many extra credit opportunities through out the course. I would take a course under Professor Smeltz again.
This is actually ENC 1102. She is funny, and she is super sweet. If you just do the work and take notes in class, you'll do good. She is super understanding and even gives a week after the due date to get missing assignments in. I only went to her office once, and it was super chill and she helped me a lot with any questions or concerns I had.
She will randomly call on someone to answer questions or read out loud.
It's a good class. Just know you have to work for your grade. It's not an easy A class. She gives a good amount of work nothing too crazy but in my opinion it's a bit hard. I feel like she teaches the class well. This class you have to keep up with your work. She does give you a grace period for late assignments but it's best to just get it done
Professor Smeltz is great. I truly hope my professors to come are like her.
She always provides extra credit
Overall Professor Smeltz is a good teacher in my opinion. She has been a little hard on me here and there, but she always responds to any questions really quickly and helps as best she can. The class
Overall Professor Smeltz is a good teacher. She always responds to any questions with haste and she doesn't give too much work. As long as you pay attention and read the material you should be fine.
Actually took ENC1102, option not available in course selection. Just pay attention and do your work and you'll be just fine. Prof Smeltz is reasonable and nice. Very generous late work extension for every writing assignment. Always answers questions in and out of class.
If you need any assistance she'll be sure to respond back in a timely manner and with exactly what you need!
Heavy work loads. I found some to be very challenging.
She's very sweet and understanding she has rules which every professor has but is very flexible and understanding I really like how clear her schedule is and the emergency week that she gives if needed the extra credit opportunities are a blessing in all around. I recommend the professor she even gives feedback when I asked.
Honestly, incredibly easy class. Only reason I have a B rn is because one of my works got falsely labeled as AI generated; which is my ONLY complaint about this teacher. I simply just wish she messaged me first before grading it poorly. Other than that the course work is easy and theres not a lot of it. She communicated within office hours.
She offers feedback and extra credit.
She's an awesome teacher as long as you do your work and show up to class it will be an easy class.
Professor Smelts is lenient when it comes to assignments, she gives us a week extension for work and she also reaches out to you if you're going to get a bad grade on an assignment so that you can fix the work before the week extension is over.
She's really nice and helpful, she gives many extra credit opportunities if you fall behind on the work.
She gives many opportunities for your assignments, if they're late you get an extension, or if you don't get the grade you want there's always an extra credit opportunity she gives you. Overall she's very helpful, just make sure you pay attention to her lectures!
She's great!
This class offers LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT and helpful assignments that prepare you for the final research paper. The professor is kind, funny, and respectful. My only issue is that she always takes off points for grammar, so getting 100% on writing assignments is not happening. Still, I'd definitely take her again!
Lots of extra credit opportunities, easy schedules to follow. Emergency deadlines are provided. Assignments are tough but not unreasonable.
Shes definitely kind and reasonable. its a pretty easy class, you just need to stay on top of work. and if your confused on anything make sure to stop by her office, and she will help you out.
She is very understanding and cares about the students
It is very easy to explain the topics, it always summarizes everything in a brief explanation, especially when it is something very difficult, it is easy to understand
My teacher, Mrs. Smeltz , is such a great teacher. I have learned a lot in her class. From grammar to essays. The way she encourages us to make videos for attendance discussions to exercise speaking and grammar helped me a lot outside of school. Speaking instead of doing papers allowed me to learn the material better!
She was very helpful to me and others. I had a concussion while taking her class but she was very very understanding.
Professor Smeltz is a good teacher she clearly teaches the class and offers lots of extra credit opportunities. She also has a one week extension that helps a lot with no penalty. She grades on attendance so be sure to be there. no phones are allowed during class nor are computers or iPads of any kind you will get marked late if you are on them.
Very nice, tough grader, make sure you are present in class because it counts. offers lots of extra credit and provides a one week extension. If you stay on top of it you will do fine in this course.
The professor was very helpful in each step of the class. She is very easy-going and understands her students very well. I had a good time in the class. Thank you Professor Smeltz. See you soon in the next class.
Mrs. Smeltz is a very hands on and loves to help others when they feel stuck. She is also very helpful when it comes to extra credit. There are many opportunities that she gives to help boost your grade.
End of semester heavy so don't fall behind
Gives many extra credits one of which results in a good rating on Rate My Professor. She grades assignments using the plagiarism detector as well. It will still be flagged even if you haven't plagiarized. Gives a week extension on assignments, after the week, you will get a 50, but even with the requirements, you will not get a 50.
