Yes the class is hard and challenging, but she knows her stuff, and she makes you want to learn it as well. She is extremely helpful and understanding and will go out of her way to help every student in any way she can.

her test are extremely hard. her exams are long and dreadful but she is helpful though. if you like doing term papers then take her. if you want to sleep for an hour then take her class.

she's kinda fast when she lectures. but very nice professor, she likes to give extra credits like the blackboard thingy. and her test are really hard bout history + composition/essay. but she knows what she's doing and i think she actually knows the pages of the books rofl.

She is an amazing teacher-- people think shes hard and that her tests are hard but she gives out a review with what will be on it excatly. plus she hands out work that is due weeks in advance. the class is fun although at times a bit difficult to understand

Tai is very sweet, and very helpful. Downfalls - she is too fast & her board notes are very disorganized. She'll always answer any of your questions, though. She gives you the EXACT test info a month in advance, so just memorize it & you'll know everything to pass. She is very interesting & funny. I doubt she has a mean bone in her body.

Professor Tai is awesome! as long as you give her the assigned documents she's asking you to do, its not a hassle, its only 2 assigned for the whole sem. and her exams, its not hard if you'll prepare for it and listen to her lectures since she gives the handouts earlier and what exactly is going to appear on the exam.

She's a smart, knowledgeable, helpful, nice, and wonderful professor. She gives extra credits, 2 Doc. Assign., and tells you in advance, what's on the exams, which are pretty easy. Her notes are disorganized, but she enjoys teaching and is interested in helping students. She's a great teacher with a kind heart. I highly recommend her!!!

Very Interesting course. Shes an upbeat, kind hearted professor, and i loved this class. I found it just challenging enough to keep me going and motivated. Tests are easy if you study, seeing as she gives you a great review sheet. 2 papers. As long as you work and study for her tests youll get a good grade, because its all right there on the review

Our school should be given much more credit because of Dr. Tai! She's highly intelligent, very passionate, truly sincere & kind, and gives an ample amount of attention if you need it! Don't feel intimidated! She's there for you all the way! If you're the type that wants an easy A, then she's not for you. Rather, you're not worthy of her!

She fair at grading your work, take her constructive criticism into consideration, and get ready to take notes! classes will only be fun if you let it... i highly recommend her. in the words of my classmate.."i just want to chat with her so i can pick at her brain!" btw, did i mention she's a havard grad? if your taking the writing instensive class. she tries to help but the documents assignments which are 3 she wants alot but not a bad grader. the test are not difficult since she gives the exact test as a review before. but the final looks very long. if you like history take her. if you want a easy grade without much work dont take this class

Read the handouts, participate in class, ask questions, read the material, don't be frequently late or absent, dont try to hide in the back and hope you magically get an A. She is always willing to help. First time I got a D, second time I got an A. You get what you deserve. Harvard grad, you can't trick her into giving you a good grade. Earn i

if your lazy, don't take her class! if you you don't like history, don't waste your time! if you are a sag of bones who can't take your own notes or ur too shy to ask when u don't understand something..please don't take her class!

Her class WAS a challenge. She expects a lot, but she teaches a lot at the same time. I didn't know European history, but I know it now. I could be part of an intellectual conversation about it, thanks to her teaching. She is a passionate TEACHER who TEACHES. I love her and would challenge anyone to take her class.

Professor Tai is a really nice and very helpful. she requires you to purchase both books but I hardly used them except for when you have to hand in your papers. the class wasn't even writing intensive and there is a ridiculous amount of writing in her papers and tests Good Luck!

She may be boring but her review sheets are all you need to pass the test and she is willing to help whenever however. I loved her class she is very understanding she just rambles on and on about things to the point its boring but its always on topic. I can honestly say she is one of the best professors at QCC.

She responds to emails usefully and promptly. She is friendly and helpful. Come prepared to read all materials and attend all classes, but in emergencies she will help you out so be sure to ask!

Tai was extremely helpful her class notes was helpful for her tests but just make sure and do the assignments she assigns, if you have her for a intensive writing class make sure to write those essays because most likely she will put it on your test. She is precise with her email! I recommend you take her for HI111 Shes a bit odd at times, but easy

She is one of the most helpful Professor's out there. She takes her work to heart... and when you take her class, you will too! She makes the class VERY Interesting. Very Informative, and Lovely to be around. EXCELLENT. A+++++++

There is a reason why this lady has a phd from Harvard. Intelligent, sassy, and genuinely nice. She wants her students to succeed and to really love history. The way she teaches it makes you want to relieve history. 3 papers, and a final...just do your work and she will definitely help if needed.... : )

When I took the class, I honestly though it was ok. She use alot of power points since she said her handwriting was awful,but they mostly consist of maps and dates. When it comes to exams, they all from the notes you take in class. For the lecture, I felt she gave to much information to fast, sometimes she'd run by dates and places.

I did not like history before, but now Prof. Tai has made me a believer. She teaches with a welcoming attitude and knows the subject so well. To pass this class will take reading and some good note taking. She is a fair grader. If you showed you had learned something on the exam you will not fail. I recommend her highly. She also gives cookies!

Great Professor, very nice person. She is really helpful and reply email quickly. As long as you showed what you learned in her exam, she will not fail you. History is hard, but she is always there to help.

Don't take this professor unless you are serious about history and interested in learning. If you aren't and are looking to sit on your ass and do nothing, then don't. If you love history you'll love this course and just keep up to date with what's going on and you'll LOVE this class. TRUST ME.

She is not horrible like everyone says. She is very nice. Very intelligent and passionate about her field. Her tests are harder than usual, but if you study really hard, you will receive a high score.

GREAT TEACHER! she's very passionate about what she teaches and even looks up topics for us that the class is interested in. She does give Writing assignments but they are super easy because she gives you the links on what to read. She does love to teach so she never ends the class early. Not even by 2 minuets.

Very informative class. You can tell history is the professor's passion, you get to learn a lot. Always willing to help, her assignments aren't easy. But study hard and you'll do fine. I even liked that she'd give specific feedback on the graded reports. Had a sense of humor; respectful. History isn't my major, but I'm glad I got her.

Professor Tai is so knowledgeable in history which makes the class much more interesting and informative! There is writing in the exams and you have to write 2 papers, HOWEVER her study guides are amazing and she's the most helpful prof there is! Prof Tai is really nice and wants to help you and is always there. She gives you two examinations and a final project and final. She gives you a review for your exam and everything on there is on the test. At first I thought this class was going to be difficult but its a good class and easy to pass. She loves to talk a lot because she loves history

She is all over the place gets you lost most of the time but I love the fact that she is willing 2 help you A LOT through out the whole semester outside class which is good because her lectures do get boring and long She gives 2 exams final I have yet to take the final but when it came down to her first two exams, her review sheets were AMAZING

If you are aiming for an A, you have to work hard for it and throughout the semester she will help you a lot. She gives you to review sheets long before every exam, 3 in total. You can email her anytime and she will reply even during holidays. There is only one 7-8 pages of documentary assignment you have to submit. She is smart and funny.

She's amazing at her job. It's clear she has a passion for history through her zealous lectures. She keeps it very interesting using stories, pictures, and providing lots of resources. You have to keep up with the work as it can add up to a lot! Professor Tai is a fair grader, and her assignments are very useful towards the exams.

She is an easy grader for sure but she gives a lot of homework you have until the end of the semester to finish them all. She is definitely better than a 3.5 rating because she's a caring professor and is really passionate of what she does. don't be afraid to take her shes fine.

This class is heavy in materials, so if you slaked off like how I did, it will become extremely hard to catch up. BUT, Professor Tai is one the most amazing professor I encountered. She is very supportive and gives you an explanation for every mistake or misunderstanding you have. Her class requires a lot of efforts,so if you failed its your fault.

If you choose this professor you better work for your grade she gives assignments weekly and theres discussion and written assignments based on lecture and book. There is not midterm but there is 7-8 paper final which is simple if you done your work through out the semester. She helps you succeed and always available outside class.

The professor is great. There are long 3 hour lectures. This is a history course based on the three major religions. Take a lot of notes and be detailed and explanatory in your writing. There are MCQ quizes, discussion board posts, many papers and a final paper. Ask professor for help when you need.

I took Pirates & The Seas with her. She is really good in explaining how concepts are and what are the assignments. My only complaint is that the lectures are long. She does occasionally give breaks in the video lectures. The homework she gives isn't really that difficult, it just challenges you to think outside of the sources you are reading.
