The Best and easies professor in KU!

Dr.Akillas is awesome. he is never mean and is very funny. always tries to make class interactive. he actually inspired me to change my major!

He is cool. He sounds a bit funny, but a good professor. If you want to miss a test hell you can as long as you show up for the make up. He don't care. I think he is cool.

A great teacher. Explained everything clearly, and had lots of funny stories and jokes to keep class fun. Wait awhile before buying the textbook -- we never used it at all.

Good teacher, a little tough to understand. Makes class fun. Grade is made up of three tests and a final. Tests are hard, final is easy. Don't buy the book, lets the class out early, always willing to help.

Can we say AWESOME?! This guy goes WAY out of his way to do anything he can for his students. He's funny and understanding. Don't buy the book. He ALWAYS lets us out early. Definately highly recommended!!

absolutely loved him!!! As long as you read the articles and go over class notes you will do fine on the tests, they really arent that difficult, and he grades good too!!! Manos is just awesome!!

Manos is the best prof i have ever had. He not only is extremely intelligent/fair/fun but he actually helps/cares for his students.Manos you kick butt, i would take you for every class if you taught them.If you want to have a good experience at KU def take this prof:)

Manos is the man, unlike certain other profs *cough*(newguy)*cough*. Take this prof he is intelligent funny and as long as you pay attention you will do good in the class. He is always willing to help students out and personally i feel is the best prof at KU:)

Good Prof, a bit difficult because of his accent but other then that very good. He will repeat and write words you don't understand on the board. Never miss a class though.

Great class to take, no textbook required, must go to class to get the material. Test are essay, then you also have to do a client folder and three video tapes as client and therapist which are not that bad. Very helpful professor willing to take time to help students understand material. He cares.

Had him for night class. We were never there more than 2 hours, usually less. Very easy. Didn't need to open the book once. Tests are relativly easy.

If you are a psych major, then you know by now that half if not most of the psych profs suck. Dr Akillas is one of the best and i really enjoyed his class.

So much fun! Gotta do the reading, but very interesting and helpful.

No book, No reading, all lecture....its a lot of notes when it comes to the test, which are all essay, but i do really good on them. Tries to make sure that everyone understands the material. No homework until its time for the test. I wanna take another class with him!

Forgot to order book, class depended on notes. Talked fast, good luck keeping up! Tests were usually pretty difficult, but he's willing to help if you go to him and ask. Overall he's a really great guy, just study don't miss, and talk to him if you need! he'll be willing to help students out,...

NO BOOK - JUST LECTURE AND NOTES. NEVER KEEPS YOU THE WHOLE TIME (AT LEAST IN NITE CLASS) THOUGHT THE TESTS WERE EASY AND HE IS A GREAT GUY!!

Class is easy, no book.. just a lot of note taking, tests are right from notes, sort of difficult, but if you study you hsould have no problem

Dr. AKillas is def the best professor at KU. He makes class so interesting and so easy. He would even take time out of his day to help me in other classes. He's great! Take him if you want an easy A...and you'll never want to fall asleep in class. He lets you out early every day. Not once did he ever keep us the whole time.

Easiest psychology class ever...This guy is perfect for anyone dreading psych. NO BOOK required for this class which is a major plus. Tests are straight from your notes, which you get in lecture. He gives you plenty of time to write down what he's saying too. Amazing professor. They don't get much better!

Awesome professor! No textbook required for the class. His lectures are so interesting and he's really funny. Also, he's the type of professor that you can just chill with after class. He's so laid back and his class is easy but extremely informative. I learned a lot. He's one of the best profs I've ever had and I recommend his classes to anyone.

No textbook for the class. But be prepared to take A LOT of notes. He never keeps you until the end of class. Tests are okay, just study your notes. Very interesting lessons. I'd take him again.

He is the sweetest man on the planet!!! He would do anything to help you or answer any questions!! The only reason anyone would find his classes difficult is if they don't take good notes or that they don't ask questions. He doesn't use a book, so it is all lecture. It saves $$$. He's great! All he does is lecture, but it's all mostly interesting. His powerpoints are simple, you have to follow along and write down what he says, not just what's on the powerpoint. I had a big class so the tests were all multiple choice, and fairly easy. Overall, he's a great professor, and we always got out of class 20 minutes early!!! :)

Easy class if you go. No text book. Extra Credit involves taking pictures (how hard is that?).

He applies the concepts he lectures on in class and he is totally logical with his teaching methods. Manos, your my hero. Thanks you for a great semester and a lot of gained knowledge.

He gives great advice for students interested in becoming therapists. He is fun and extremely knowledgeable.

Manos is awesome! His class is great. This was by far my favorite class of the first semester. Some people say he is hard to understand but i had absolutely no trouble. His accent is part of what is so great about him. He says some pretty funny stuff and his accent is really cool. I definately recommend this class. If you review you will get an A

I had to retake psychology & I took Akillas the second time. He was amazing. I understood psychology so much better! He's funny, and he explains things really well. You have to go to class because there is no book, it's all notes. Tests are easy as long as you study! Take him! He's the best professor I've ever had.

I didn't do so well in this class, but it was definetly my own fault. Attendance isn't mandatory but there is no book, so everything is based off of his lectures. He tells really funny stories and is a cool guy. Take him if you need a Psych course. Go to class and take notes. You'll do fine.

His class is not easy, but you will learn a lot. The upside is there is no book, but that means attendance is mandatory. He answers any questions that are asked. His tests are based on diagnosing people since he is a psychologist. The only downside is if Psychology is not your forte, you must study for a good grade.

Wow! He has been the best thing that has happened to me at Kutztown University! Awesome opportunities with him as a professor. Always exited to go to his class. You must study for his test I got a 100 in general psych. Lots of notes, many funny interesting stories. His accent was never a problem for me. TAKE HIMM!!!! You will not regret it.

Nice guy. Accent isn't hard to understand at all. I'd bring a laptop to class to take notes, he talks extremely fast and it's hard to keep up when writing. The tests are questions asked as if you were diagnosing someone. Really easy if you study. He gives tons of examples in class.

Great guy, loved listening to him lecture. However I took him for a three hour night class, where he didn't give us a book or powerpoint or any notes of any kind...we sat there and had to take notes on what he said for three hours. Can be very hard to keep up and I would end up writing what seemed like ten pages of notes every class. Take computer!

He is really funny. His accent makes me laugh. His tests are a little difficult but he gives you all the info you need. There is no textbook so it is all based on lecture notes. He talks fast but will repeat anything when asked. Easily one of my favorite classes

He was the BEST professor I had. Very humorous and always has good stories to tell and makes class interesting. The tests can be tricky but just understand what the notes are talking about. It's all based on lecture no text book needed. Answers any questions that you have about the notes even if its something just out of curiosity. HIGHLY RECOMEND!

Great Prof. to take he has alot of knowledge and experience he shares. His stories are great, and relate to the topic. There is no textbook all classnotes. You need to go to class to get the notes, also attend the study sessions (he looks at who attends). If you need extra credit ask and explain why he will try to give you some. Overall GREAT PROF!

This class was by far the easiest class I had last semester. He is charismatic, funny and recognizes when his students are interested and involved. He has great stories and as long as you go to his lectures every day you will get an A easily.

For ANYONE who says that Dr. Akillas is not such a good teacher, that's a LIE! He doesn't teach with a textbook so that students would actually have to come to class and take notes. He's not easy but as long as you come to class and takes notes and study well, your sure to pass. Bottom line DONT be lazy!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Akillas is awesome. His style is a straightforward lecture - if he says it, you write it. Bring your laptop to class or quickly jot down the notes then rewrite them, otherwise you won't get all of the material. Gives mandatory bonus assignments but they help boost your average. I would definitely take him again.

I took introduction to Psychology to fulfil a gen ed requirement. I never thought i could actually be excited to go to a class until Dr. Akillas. He is a wonderful teacher, his lectures are interesting also, which is hard to come by. I received a B+ in this class , if you go to class pay attention and take notes you will do very well! Dr. Akillas is the greatest professor that I have ever had. I am a senior and have just had my first class with him, after being in the psych program for almost four years. He is extremely caring about students. I sat down with him on multiple occasions just to talk about my life and goals. Also, he does not use a book, just his knowledge and exp.

For his 3 hour night class, BRING YOUR LAPTOP TO TAKE NOTES. He doesn't talk fast and will happily repeat things if you missed them. He is entirely lecture based. No ppt or book. His home assignments aren't difficult. Tests aren't too bad but you do need to know the material at least at a basic level to do well. He's also pretty funny!

Dr. Akillas' general psych class was the gateway to my love for psychology. I enjoyed his class so much that I scheduled two more classes with him as the professor, as well as requesting him as my adviser. He is so helpful and motivated to help his students. I can confidently say that he impacted my knowledge of psychology more than anyone else!

Akillas is an AMAZING professor! If you get the chance to take him, do it. He has a lot of experience being a psychologist and has a story to tell about every topic, making it so interesting and easy to learn. As long as you go to class, you'll pass. Lectures are very informative. Dr. Akillas reminded me of why I chose Psych as my major. Love him.

Dr. Akillas is a cool person and cares a lot. His lectures are interesting if you like psychology. He always ended class early. There are 4 exams, the final is cumulative. The exams are tough if you don't study the notes. He assigns home assignment that are really easy and are due before each exam. They help the grade a lot.

I took professor akillas for gen psych and he is all about his lectures. Often lets you out early, but take notes and study them hard. He makes his lectures interesting. Make sure you put in study time and you will be fine. Interesting guy, but nice and I enjoyed his class. I would recommend taking him.

I absolutely loved him! His lectures were very interesting and I love the stories that he told. The assignments were really easy as well, in fact I thought they were fun assignments and I looked forward to doing them!

This class is definitely a challenge but it is not impossible. The exams are the biggest adjustment, 25 question multiple choice exams (making each question worth 4 points). I took this as a night class but he never makes you stay the whole time. He also has you do video assignments with mock counseling sessions, easy points as long as you try.

Amazing professor! No textbook is needed, gives lectures every class and is sometimes hard to understand but is willing to answer any of your questions. Only 4 homework assignments and tests the whole semester which aren't too difficult if you study. Overall would definitely take him again.

Professor Akillas is by far the most genuine and down to earth teacher I have came across all my years of school. You do need to pay attention in his lectures, and make sure you really read and understand his notes. The tests are strictly based on his notes that he posts on D2L and also things he says in his lecture. He's so understanding and sweet
