Dr. Belena is a good professor. He is easy if you study but the thing that throws you off is his multiple choice questions which are tricky. a..b..c..(a & b)..(b&c). those choices. but currently im still passing w/ an a.his outlines help a lot, take good notes.be alert coz he might ask you question in class. READ the BOOK!

It's a great class and can earn an A if you read and study. The tests are kind of tricky but the instructor lets students use notes and outline during some tests. Depending on the the time and effort you put into the class an A or a B can be achieved.

His class is easy. Just a bit of work. The book is a must since basically your homework(bunch of small paragraphs) our the questions on the back. Few easy quizzes and test if you read the chapters.

Great teacher! Like his class on Biblical Hebrews and Christians that has helped me understand better the Bible. He answered all my questions so I know much better now. Note taking is no problem because he wrote his textbook and about 95% of what he covers is in this easy to read book. Offers extra credit & use of textbook in tests. Easy fun class!

I really enjoyed this online course. I did not find it difficult at all to learn the material; just read and study, an easy task. His book is amazing I really enjoyed reading it because it is straightforward to the point and the material is easy to comprehend. I can say I have completed the course very satisfied and with ample knowledge acquired.

I really enjoyed this online class! I was very scared when I started but then became very interested quickly. I enjoyed reading his textbook, it was short enough to not drag on and be boring, it seems he did a good job of summarizing large spans of history into a digestible and informative yet interesting story. I really recomend this class.

Professor Belena is one of the most intellectual, enthusiastic and approachable professors at STC. He even wrote his textbook! His excellent knowledge of the subject paired with his love for the humanities makes him a fun teacher. Videos and great Power Points. Do not hesitate and take him for Huma 1301 cause you will learn so much.

Best online teacher and course I had. His textbook is well written and easy to understand. The online class is well organized and everything went smooth. Class was arranged in a clear manner. Some data was out of date, but he explains were to find most current information. Very slow to grade and provides limited feedback. Tests are worded in a strange way, which makes the test difficult because student have to think logically about best answer to each question. Expect to write frequently.

I really enjoyed Dr. Belena's class. I didn't attend high school and got my GED. So there is a lot I missed out in. I learned so much from his class. This course was an eye opener. This is what a real humanities class should teach because it gives a true perspective of how our past affects our present, without filters. Easy A if you read and study. There is extra credit with papers on Youtube videos and a research paper, up to 150 extra points for test grades. If you fall behind you can easily pick up your grade average. Quick feedback and graded assignments. The subject caught my interest. Take this course with this professor.

When I went to his office for help and explained my issue he was flexible and patient enough to take care of the matter and gave me extra credit to improve my grade. Mr. Belena is a good professor. The quizzes and tests are pretty simple - as long as you read the textbook and take notes while he's lecturing, you will do fine. Homework and other assignments are pretty simple as well too . He is very passionate, loves to teach about humanities , and you will learn everything from what he teaches.

Lots of reading but it was easy reading. As long you make an effort you will be ok. Homework assignments matter, so submit on time. But questions are not difficult to find.

He does gives lots of homework but it's all easy to do and he doesn't grade very harshly at all. He also gives lots of oppurtunities for extra credit which is great. He isn't a super fun modern lecturer but he is far from boring. He knows his subject and teaches it well. I highly recommend his class.

Dr. Belena is truly a gem of a professor. In rare occasions, you encounter a professor so genuinely passionate about his teachings. In numerous occasions he went above and beyond explaining each lecture. He would also converse about topics that other instructors would never take their time to talk about. This class was very simple, the work was easy, and was given more than enough time to get it done. If youre lazy youll be lost but the littlest effort you put in will take you a long way. This class is organized very understandable , sometimes he might switch things up but always check his announcements and he explains everything there.

Good professor, give a lot of reading test are not that hard if your read the chapters, uses power point lecture. Dr. Emmanuel Belena Class was not difficult at all, one of the chillest professors I've ever taken. All assignments are done thru black board and very straight forward and simple, not only that but one of the most passionate professors that actually cares about the subject.

I took Dr.Belena in the summer,Dr.Belena was a passionate teacher,the reading portion of the class was heavy,but he gives you enough time to finish chapters and assignments ,his tests are very easy,and he offers extra credit at the end.

Took this class as a summer course online. It was easy BUT there is a lot of reading. Tests are multiple choice and no lockdown browser. Only 1 attempt for quizzes and tests make sure to score high as they're a huge part of your grade. No textbook required. He provides all the readings on blackboard. He uploads assignments twice a wk.

I took this class in the summer and really enjoyed it. Its pretty straightforward, make sure to check everyday your announcements in case he posts a new assignment. He does have a textbook but in the assignments he will give you the reading material. Make sure to read the instructions he clearly gives you and you will be good!
