Please don't take his class. You will regret it. Three-quarter students of my class dropped his class because the tests are hard. I know that accounting class is always hard, yet the problem is "he doesn't teach anything in class." He just read the power point slide by slide... and another slide... till the end of the class... He also isn't helpful
Do not take this professor. He teaches by reading power point slides word for word. The book doesn't do any better of a job explaining the material. Doing the HW helps some but he doesn't always review it in class. He does not return tests or go over them.
In order to pass you must have an understanding of BASIC MATH nd just common sense. The course is just categorization of different transactions. The prof read powerpoints nd he also explained w/ examples. He is available for anyone in his office, but the most help comes from reading, paying attention in class, nd doing hmwrk. I passed w/ an A+
He explains things more difficult than they really are. Can hardly understand what he says. Very strong accent.
This teacher is incredibly hard, me makes you think you will know everything on the test then last minute he changes everything. Very strong accent. All he does is read off the powerpoint which you can get yourself off of the PBCC website and teach yourself.
Horrible teacher. You can only do well if you are disciplined enough to teach yourself. More than half of the class dropped out, professor has no clarity in speaking nor teaching. He might know what he is talking about but does not know how to teach students, especially students who have never come across anything with accounting before.

worst teacher ive ever had! do NOT take him unless you like teaching yourself. attendence mandatory but actually going is a waste of time. he never went over assigned hw problems. he does give reviews for test but they arent always helpful and he constantly blames students for his lack of engagement and control over the class.
very hard professor. i would not recommend this class to anyone. at least not this professor. had a hard time understanding him. very thick accent. he also has a hard time understanding you for questions. tests are very hard too. they are not patterned off the pwr pnt which is what he reads to you for class time.
Assisting every single day to class, being on time and doing the homework won?t be enough. He missed one class, and was late more than three days. He never uses student?s names, he forgets everything, and does not keep his promises. Be ready to study yourself and please if you find a different teacher I assure you will be better. Do not take him.

DO NOT TAKE HIM!!He is not helpful at all.Only play PP slides. You have to study by yourself but even if you study the problems he presents are 30% of your score.He rate the problems nor reasonable at all.The posible answers for multiple choices are very similar and hard to get them right one.He only review (and really bad) the multiple choices.

I am currently taking financial accounting with professor danso. For those that have complained about how hard he is, is obviously not studying. I came into this class with the intention that Prof. Danso would be a horrible english speaker and would not teach well. Keep in mind to do well in this class you have to put in your two cents also!
OK, everyone. Stop!!, Professor Danson is NOT a bad professor. I took him for APL1111 and never took accounting before. The test was not difficult at all. He rewies the test wit you and test is basically the same as the actual test. So, please whoever is posting bad reviews stop and think again. Professor Danson keep the good work!!!!
This teacher has quite a few ratings. That should tell you something. I am a non-traditional student and take my classes seriously and for that, I usually get A's. I struggled to get a B. Not very engaging w/students
He knows about the subject but he needs to learn to teach it better and stop reading from the slideshow he could have read it over the internet a complete waste of time.
I didn't know what to expect as a transient student, but i ended up liking the class. If you ask what u need to study for the tests he will tell you.
I found the lack of clarity and help from this professor was discouraging. He does not review the homework, which for everyones understanding this material should be, or the tests. The test scores are shown to you but not allowed to leave his hands, ever. I saw a private tutor & still struggled before withdrawing.

He's a very nice guy but doesn't teach well at all. He explains the simple stuff in great detail but not any of the more complex situations. Its kinda like you think you understand it but when you take the test the questions are different from what you thought he explained it to be.
Professor is hard to understand you'll need to read and do the unassigned lessons too for full understanding.
Im an A student, but i had to drop this class. If you don't have an accounting base don't take this professor. He explains assuming that you know accounting concepts. He is not easy, no extra credit, no help b4 tests. you are by your own. he is not bad , but he is difficult. if you know accounting take him. if you dont know acc.chose other teacher.

I read the book and did all assignments not just the ones he wanted us to do and got an 'A'. Not an easy class to start with but the old fashion way of studying seems to work in every class not just this one. Don't be lazy, do all the work and you'll have a great foundation for the rest of the accounting classes.
Have to really study the old fashioned way. Do all unassigned homework too will help with understanding it better. Work with tutors in the computer lab not math lab and expect to work hard. I came away with full understanding of material. Good on him for making me work so hard. The other classes were a breeze because of my new found study habits.
It is almost impossible to understand him when he talks. He teaches way too fast and does not explain well.
He IS AWFUL! Reads slides word for word. If you ask him a question he is just as unsure on the material as you are. He will give you a study guide and say this is the test but i will rearrange the questions and change the numbers for the math problems and then test you on totally different questions. WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!!!
This Professor is pretty old fashioned and has a very bland teaching style. Starts the class off with an easy exam verbatim from the study guides he gives you. Then, after that, he cranks the hardness of the tests up, changes the numbers, and even includes content not on the study guide. Must read book if you want an A for sure. Wouldn't recommend.
Was by far the worst class experience ever not only is the teacher too proud to help you understand the lesson he also showed a male chauvinist side which breaks the colleges laws of sex discrimination. Would not suggest this professor to anyone he also lacks the teaching skills required to convey knowledge at all levels, didn't stick to syllabus.
I would not recommend this professor, his teaching skills are based on a power point. you will be confused after taking this class. Doing the hw online is terrible! I would recommend you to think it twice before taking his class.

ACG2022 is a very difficult course. The professor made the class interesting. He made himself available for questions or help and reviewed before each exam. The key to a good grade is to know the first chapters well; they are the foundation, do all extra problems in the book and be prepared to put a lot of time into the course.
This class can be tough but with some strategic studying you'll find it not so difficult. He gives you all the questions that will be on the test a few days prior. So study those and the 10 vocab and you will get a good grade. He also doesn't give a final. Overall i thought it was easy and the professor is very knowledgeable in accounting.
I've taken 5 online courses at PBSC and this is by far the worst I've taken. Professors online lectures and videos are a joke. Really disappointing.
Be prepared to watch NOTHING BUT OTHER PEOPLE'S YOU TUBE VIDEOS! This guy does NOT plan to teach or even SPELLCHECK for an online class... yes online!
Professor Danso does have a thick accent however, he does do a very good job at explaining if you try to be attentive and not allow yourself to be distracted. THe material is not completely easy but remaining focus is key.
Never replies to students, no specific due dates till day before, doesn't follow syllabus, teaching yourself, hard to find assignments. Basically this class is a mess and just don't take it, not worth the headache.
I honestly don't think this professor should even be teaching. Not only does he have a very thick accent, but he takes forever to finish a sentence!! BORING! The hardest to pay attention to! Not very good at answering questions AT ALL! but he will gladly help the first student that gets to his office right before class, otherwise you're toast!
Professor Danso is an amazing person. He always kept my attention and had something funny to retort. He called out the students who were not paying attention. He made sure we all participated and he was respected by all of us. He made sure we understood the material before moving on. Always willing to help! He is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Professor Danso is amazing. He would take a whole day to review for upcoming tests. He's just one of the best out there. Very professional and super helpful. I recommend professor Danso to anyone who is trying to pass accounting. Just do the work and you will pass with no problem. People who say he is not good, they're just lazy. Great professor!
Very thick accent, but you can understand it after a while. He gives you the answers to the homework all you have to do is copy and send it to him. He also gives you the answers to the word problems on the test, you just have to do the math problems.

Mr Dansoe is a cool guy, as a teacher he does have an accent but if u pay attention and not go on facebook during class youll get a good grade. Hes helpful in person and the hw is straight forward. If u work a full time job i recommend studying at work or when u have free time. It doesnt take too much studying, but just focus and youll be fine.
Mr. Dansoe gives extra credit and drops the lowest grade for ya. Its a giveaway u just have to do hw and study some material in book if your visual learner and focus on notes in class. I bombed the first test but i did pretty well on last few tests!!! But has accent, outside class i used youtube for understanding. Overall I love this guy, funny too
Professor Danso is an awesome professor, If you pay attention to his lectures you should be set for the test. He takes a whole class time to review before the test and most of the questions in the test comes out of the review. He's AWESOME!!!
My professor dropped our class half way through the semester and Professor Danso picked us up and finished the semester with us. I wish I would have had him from the start! He's funny and really cares about his students. Reviews the whole test the class before. Lock the screens and shows power point on all the computers. All homework on Wileyplus
He gives you most of the answers to the test and gives you answers to problems that are like the hw and quizzes. Theres lots of extra credit and he also drops the lowest test. The hw and quizzes make up half your grade so just put some effort into those. The class is overall easy and this professor is funny and very nice.
Awesome professor. Accounting is not an easy course to begin with, and Danso acknowledges that. This is why he covers only what is necessary and never overwhelms you with work. Yes, there are exams that require studying, yes there is homework. But it's all designed for you to succeed. I will take him for Managerial next semester!
Worst of all most worse professors. Unrecognizable accent. Unorganized structure of a class, doesn't help students to pass, half of the study guides he gives you answers too are wrong. Avoid him please that 2.4 rating is up there for a REASON.
If you wanna a great breakdown of accounting 2022, this is the man to take. He is like the superman of accounting professors. Extra credit will definitely give you a boost in your grade but you must put forth the effort. As long as you study and do all the homework and quizzes on time and efficiently you will succeed no matter the circumstances!
ACG2022 is a pre-requisite to my degree. I avoided taking this class as long as possible as I was jaded from past experience. Professor Danso wants to see his students succeed and understands that not everybody is an accounting major.(no offense) He gives examples we can relate to or helpful acronyms to study for tests. I highly recommend him !
Financial accounting is a tough class to begin with. He's a very nice guy and he knows what he's talking about, but his accent is really thick and he speeds through power points like a bullet. His test reviews are very helpful and if you skip those you will most likely fail his tests. I'm taking him next semester because i'm finally comfortable.
Danso is an amazing guy. He's very funny and utilizes lots of real life experiences to convey the significance of accounting concepts. Accounting is my major and Im very glad I got to learn from him he is a great guy but you must uphold your end of the deal as well to succeed. He gives you a great review before every test, you simply cant fail.

Tough class, tough subject. Let just say take prof. danso for ACG2022 wouldn't be my first option. H/W on wiley plus with answers attached, gives review before the test. Goes really fast during lectures , you can't ask questions in class or he gets mad. I basically taught myself from the text book, wileyplus, & went to the testing center.
Prof. Danso is a funny professor. He is also IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of over email, even after i was in contact with the dean he didn't get back to me. Won't show you your exam unless you visit at office hours, which is hard when you work. And most of all, gave me an 89.9 in the class and marked it as a B. Enough said
Danso is a very hard professor to get a hold of, he does not replies to your emails even if the dean is copied. He will not see you unless you go during his business hours which is the times a normal person is working. He does not answer questions, and if you need help on anything, he refers you to the tutors. I will never take him again....
Professor Danoe is very professional but goes over the topic very quickly and is not really accessible after hours, the professor has test heavy assignments and if you miss a day , forget it you wont pass.
Prof Danso is a solid professor. He gives great exam reviews so definitely go to those. This is a class where you just need to study smart. There isn't anything too complex. No need for the textbook; just pay attention during his lectures. I like him as a person and I would definitely take him again.
This is my second semester with Danso, and I loved him just as much as the first semester. Unfortunately, he gets a little shaky at times with explaining concepts, but he makes sure that we know what's on the test. He does NOT drop a test grade in managerial accounting, so DON'T SLEEP. He's funny and understanding, don't take anyone else.

Mr. Danso has a strong accent but he is clear, he is a tough grader and because If you miss it's difficult to catch up, he is not really available after class (night) or during the day if you work, He does all the teaching through WILEY plus and PowerPoint. All grading is done according to Wiley plus. If you have to take him, find a friend. BOOK

Danso is an awesome teacher. He explains difficult concepts well and cares about his students. He can sometimes rush through topics so you have to pay close attention to what he is doing. If you take good notes during the test reviews, you will easily pass the class. I'm planning on taking him for my next financial accounting class.
I had the pleasure of taking Professor Danso this summer. He explains things thoroughly and wants all of his students to pass. Homework and quizzes are given, but are taken online. Pay close attention to the problems gone over during class and review and you will surely pass. I am currently looking to take more classes with him.
Unless you get math and can teach yourself as you go i wouldn't recommend. He knows what he's talking about. and its not his accent that is the issue its his delivery. Hes passive and gives an example or two and moves on. Very fast paced. wileyplus is honestly busy work. good practice if you get it, time consuming if you dont, easy grade though

Truly the best! I'm taking him again for another class. Material tad difficult but will explain until you understand and will use real world examples. Also, he gives the best reviews ever. Study the reviews and you are guaranteed to pass! SERIOUSLY!!!!! Decent amount of homework and few quizzes. That is all! And he replaces lowest grade with final.

He was okay. I went to tutoring ALOT and things I was taught from my tutors were differnt from Danso. Which made the test very difficult because I didn't know which way was the correct. He does have an accent but still understandable. What I did like about him is that he wants feedback from his students DURING CLASS, Don't bother seeing him after.
He is an amazing professor. I will take 2 more classes with him next semester. All you need is to study his reviews for the Tests and you will pass, but You Need To Study!!! He explains very well each chapter and you can ask him as many times you want until get it. I only studied 2 days before each test and I always passed. He is really good!!!!!!!
Professor Danso is from Ghana, slight accent but still clear. Worked his way through college with many challenges along the way. His personality is very caring and understanding towards his students. Funny and energetic. What he teaches will be on your test make sure you go to class. He gives lots of notes which are needed to pass his class.

He is the worst professor I ever took at PBSC. Stay away if you have another option. He is mean, has a VERY heavy accent and writes so tiny you wont be able to see the board. His teaching methods are absolutely terrible!
Exams are reworded and very confusing on exams. No extra credit because thats more work for him and does not go over tests. He will not put any extra effort in helping his students succeed! 90% of the class struggles even after getting help in the lab with standing appointments!
Professor Danso is a really nice teacher... but this class was really hard and i feel like his teaching methods just weren't for me. Homework assignments were a bit confusing as well.
I waited the whole semester to write this, because I continuously wanted to have something good to say about this class. Danso is a nice man, but in my opinion a terrible teacher. He talks AT you, not teaches you. He'll tell you to ask during class, but when you don't understand and do it feels like you're belittled. Homework was hard and unhelpful
Prof. Danso is definitely one of a kind. He does have an accent so if you do not do well with accents, beware. Other than that, he is very caring and knowledgable. He likes to call people out to answer questions and interact with the class along the lectures so pay attention. The practice exams are the actual exams, can't get easier than that!!
Everything about his accounting software class is an adventure. He makes it up as it goes along even though that assignments are just the end of the chapter work. Week to week, we don't even know what is due. He is very overworked, but c'mon...
This Class haunted me! But thankfully I finally pass with Danso. His lectures are informative he gives real life examples, test and quizzes are fair. He drops lowest score which is a huge plus! He is understanding to life balance. He not too hard on Grading you just need to understand the concepts. I would take him for every class if I could!!

I am a mom and work two jobs with a GPA of 3.3 which I am very proud of. This semester I took this professor but unfortunately I got sick was in the hospital . I missed tests and HW. I emailed and called this professor multiple times asking for him to give me a chance to do what i miss. He never responded. I was forced to withdrew from the class.
I would not take Professor Danso again, he never responds outside class. His quizzes have not enough time to respond. He knew about it, but he never added time; although he said he was going to. I don't recommend him!
There is no direction in the course that I signed up to learn more about the subject. As it is online, not virtual, you are supposed to do everything by yourself, and there is no interaction with the professor. He is not very supportive with struggling students, and I have no idea how to proceed, got more help from my classmates so far.
RUN!! Do your self a favor and do not enroll in Professor Danso's Accounting class, he does no reviews, he does not go over exams, he does not do exam prep! Gives you no feedback, and barely responds to emails. In this class, be PREPARERD TO TEACH YOURSELF! Its Like your set up to fail. your welcome! there's a reason he is rated 2 stars guys.
hes super cool, but I think you should take him in person, he helped us out with the upcoming tests and homework was really easy because if you got wrong answer a couple times it would give you the right one and you could fill it in, class just takes a bit of time and you have to attend. Professor Danso's class was quite nice to be in, he puts in the time to know you by name and form good relationships with his students, he is flexible with changing dates. Let me lead with this, this professor is very intelligent and provides a to-the-point online class. I recommend this class for anyone who is looking. Tests are open book and the quizzes he gives before tests help be best prepared! Also, he is fair about attendance with ultimate understanding if you miss class through the way he grades attendance.
I should have read the reviews before I took the class. He's not a bad guy but his lectures are not very clear and his work is very difficult and he provides very little help if you need it. It's very hard to reach him and when you do get in touch with him, it's like trying to ask a wall for help. He will not help you.
Professor Denso is an awesome accountant instructor. He provides acronyms and phrases so you can remember the concepts. Literally do the Wiley assignments, and quizzes and practice the math problems he demonstrated in-class lecture and you should be fine. If you perform poorly then you did not pay attention/ask questions during the lecture.
A great professor, removes the lowest test scores, answers email quickly, helps you understand the material. Wiley Plus is use heavily for hw, quiz, and exams.
this teacher is really bad. i took him twice thinking it was me - but it was him. if you have adhd or anything where you need to ask questions or fidget - he doesnt like those things. he humiliated me for it. his class was super hard and felt like he enjoys watching people fail.
Professor Danso makes the class way harder than it needs to be. The platform he uses for the assignments is extremely difficult and doesn't provide much help if you are struggling so you're stuck with whatever grade you get. I retook this class with another professor and it was much easier and I got an A. Professor Danso was the problem.
He keeps things lighthearted and fun and creates an environment where you will learn. Without much pressure of failing because there is plenty of opportunity. I loved this class and I am taking him for two more classes next semester. (40% Homework, Drops lowest exam score, extra credit end of semester, reviews exam before every class)
Lets start out by saying the professor is NEVER available. Everything is done by the software you read and turn in assignments through there but there is no interaction. If you actually want to get your monies worth take a class where the teacher actually respons. Clearly he is just here to pick up a check for what he does replace him with a robot.
Taking Financial Accounting with Professor Danso is mixed. The grading system is lenient, with 5 tests (lowest dropped), 5 completion-graded assignments, and 5 quizzes without a lockdown browser. This has been one of the most challenging classes, not due to the content, but because of the lack of effective instruction.
I would not take this class. He likes to make promises to make it easier and then just screw you over. He does not care about students and is not honest. The first day of class all he did was brag about going to a good school and having a very nice sports car. All most had a B and he refused to round it after saying he would to the class.

Had a mental breakdown and dropped this class on the last day of add/drop. Material is NOT explained clearly, NO contact or support from the professor, and there's like 6 exams, all lockdown browser with external webcam. I was planning on graduating early and had to redo my entire schedule because i registered for the worst class ever.
