GREAT TEACHER MAKES THE CLASS VERY FUN.

Dr. Doh turned a regular English class into more of an all-around learning experience. I took this class three years ago and still remember lessons he taught on an almost daily basis. -Dustin

Dr Doh is very fair and a straight forward instructor. He wants to see every student succeed and will do all that he can to help you.

English 1021. His is well organized, and will do all for his students to understand what he is saying. If you are lazy do not go to his class.A good instructor who uses real life stories to help students understand his lessons.

Dr. Doh tells hilarious stories and speaks eloquently with vivid language. He heavily participates in the classroom so there is a community feel. He himself is a prolific writer. he maintains a good sense of humor.

Dr. Doh is an amazing teacher. I've had him for three classes, each class was filled with fun. He is very fair when it comes to certain circumstances (emergencies, etc). Dr. Doh is a great writer as well as a great mentor. Before taking his classes I was not looking forward to taking English classes. He's my preferred choice for English.

Very fun teacher. I enjoy waking up at 6am to go to his class. He is very strict about coming in late, also he doesn't allow food or drinks. I will be looking for him as a teacher in the future.

He is one of my favorite teachers, he explains everything as well as he can, if you dont understand something he will try to explain it so u can understand it youself... if you are looking for a teacher that knows his english and a teacher that will give u hands on help in engl. i recamened that u take his english class.

DR. DOH is a very sweet guy and really understanding. His class is really fun with all his stroy he tell us. He joke and is really cool but don't be fool!! his grading is really rough and serious! I did not care for him AT ALL. He would announce to the whole class where everyone is sitting at in terms of grades. I just think that is totally wrong to do that in front of the whole class. And he would make fun of the people that were not doing well. He is a jerk. His class was super easy but I really hated going to it.

You may love him or you may HATE him. You cannot miss class. You cannot skip work due. Must know how to accept embarrassment and criticism. If you take him, SPEAK UP! He does NOT like shy students and you will be picked on for it! If you survive him you're lucky- he will kick you out for poor performance or absenteeism. He doesn't want you to fail.

He wouldn't be my first choice.

Dr.Doh not only taught English, but he taught us about life. He keeps the class engaged by telling very descriptive stories about him, which could last the whole class period. He really wants his students to write well, so he incorporates his teaching skills by teaching us the use of commas, how to write a thesis, ETC. You learn to write a variety

Overall a great teacher. Teaches about life as well as education. Grading is harder than others but your writing will improve.

Simply put, Dr. Doh significantly contributed to my pursuing an English Lit degree at a 4-year university. He was an awesome teacher, albeit a hard grader but put forth the effort and you will definitely get something great from it. The emphasis placed on writing a thesis and dissertation is proving to be SUPER helpful near my senior year!

This professor actually cares about his students; He wants every one of his students to succeed. If you happen to take this teacher, my advice is to NOT show up late, to try and make it to every class period and participate in class discussions. If you don't get clarifcation on something, make sure to ask.

He was an easy teacher, but grades rather strictly. I didn't think I learned as much as I could have. That was mostly due to all of his story telling which was not a bad thing if you already know what your doing.

dr. doh is a great english teacher! He keeps your attention by adding in stuff hes learned throughout instead of just boring us with straight out of the book english! i also love how dr doh will say how it is and not to hurt your fellings but to help you better yourself as a person! if you really listen to him about life you will learn a number!

The literature that we studied in this class was interesting and we got to know things we werent taught in regular schools, he has his few things he's strict about.If you are looking to learn and have your understanding on things expanded. I loved his class. He tred to make the work fun. Sometimes he would get off topic, but that just made the class my fun. He grades a like harsh, but if you do the papers how he wants you will do just fine. He makes you laugh everyday. Good luck and have fun.

i adore dr. doh! he is the numher one professor on campus! he is my go to instructor for more than just class work. he makes a special bond with each student and makes learning more fun than i though possible. I LOVE DR. DOH!!!!!!!

Doh is the best professor that I have ever had!! He is super intelligent, funny, and gets to know all of his students. He may be intimidating on the first day but that's it. He teaches you in a unique way using the book and through his experiences. He really cares about all his students and wants them to succeed. I highly recommend taking him! :)

Wow. What can I say about Dr.Doh. He is a FANTASTIC teacher, the subject overall is pretty boring, but his personality actually made me want to come to class EVERY DAY. He's intimidating, funny, and sometimes a little ra-cist. But I guarantee it you will have a good time in his class. I can't remember the last time I called a college class FUN!

Dr. Doh is awesome!!! The first week i took his class i didn't like him i thought he was a jerk, but then once i got to know him and his humor. Now i love his class. he is so funny and he trys to make the 2 1/2 hour class go by fast. you should take him!!

He was a great teacher. Always helpful and funny. I took him in the summer 2012 and he made the five hours go by super fast! Thinking of taking him again for one of my Comp classes. That's if he's teaching it.

Dr. Doh is an amazing teacher! There is never a dull moment in class, he tells a lot of stories, but what most people do not realize is he is teaching you how to write your paper by the story he is telling. I took his class as a summer class. He feels more like a father figure then an actual teacher, by which I mean you can joke around with him, but you would hate to disappoint him. He is a tough grader on his papers, but he takes your participation in the class into account of your final grade. He jokes around a lot to keep everyone's attention.

He is an opinionated man who welcomes people who challenge him. This teacher WILL TEACH YOU ABOUT LIFE and more importantly grammar. He loves talking about the differences between men, and women he has a degree in Gender studies. Show that you're a serious student because you are not just a number! This man tells it like it is; for what he wants.

Dr. Doh always interacted with every student in every single class. This made it easier to speak up and communicate with others.

Love this man!! Wish I could take more classes with him. Every class was spent laughing as well as learning about composition, life, the world, ourselves, and each other. When I run into classmates we always say how much we miss our class. Money and time well spent. Put in the time and you will get the grade.

He seems intimidating in the beginning but once class starts hes very friendly and easy to talk to and ask questions. He has a different teaching style so if you prefer the formal lecture etc dont recommend taking this class but if you want a more relatable lecture this is perfect I personally loved his class

Dr. Doh is the most entertaining teach I've ever had. He is incredibly abrasive, but it works so well for him that it doesn't bother anyone. He gets to know many of his students personally, and makes jokes at their expense.(which some people might read as a bad thing, but it's amazing.) Dr. DoH is absolutely amazing! He makes learning easy! We use the text book regularly and He does give essays but he explains how to write during his lectures! He makes his class fun by bringing humor and positivity to his class! He makes himself accessible outside of the class and takes attendance regularly. I would take this class again

If I could take every English course with this prof I would in an instant. Doh will often break away from a lecture every 10 or so minutes to tell a funny story or pick on the class in humor. He is incredibly funny and makes class learning enjoyable. He is a very tough grader however he grades based on your personal progress, not his standards.

Dr. Doh is a very funny person and is easy to talk to. Even though he may be funny and tells lots of jokes, he is strict when it comes to grading papers. He would honestly tell you your paper sucks if he doesn't like it, but overall he is a good teacher and his teaching is very fun and enjoyable.

Loved him! He's abrasive, but hilarious. He's also a tough grader so don't take his class if you're looking for an easy A. You have to earn it. He lectures about life lessons more than English, but he connects them to the essay subjects to help you understand what he's looking for in your work. Class participation and attendance are required.

This man is a dedicated teacher who will do everything to help a serious student. He makes you see the value of being educated. He looks stern but has a good heart and will attend to you anywhere, anytime. I miss his classes with the funny examples he uses to illustrate his point.

One of the best professors I have ever had. I was genuinely sad when the class ended. Personally, online classes are a drag for me, but Dr. Dohs classes were very different. He combined his lectures with personal experiences and beliefs, making them more interesting and easier to understand. He is a tough grader, but its for your benefit.

I took his synchronous course and this class actually helped me write better! English is my second language, but Professor Doh made his instructions simple, just follow the rubric that he sends you and you will be fine. He answer emails and stays back after class to answer any questions that students have about the assignment.

4/5 on difficulty - he will be sure to challenge you in class no matter what skill level you are. If you aren't afraid of pushing yourself and talking in class, you'll love Prof. Doh. Strong personality, but is sweet, and really cares about your success. I'm very serious about college, and appreciate that he doesn't put up with BS from students.

I loved having him. We had three papers to do throughout the class, however he doesn't like when you miss any class. He also doesn't like when you're late, you can't make it an everyday thing. He gives you 3 shortish Nigerian novels to read, he is very adamant about following MLA. Jokes with his class. I'm going to miss him. PARTICIPATION MATTERS

I keep things real, He is a good guy and a cool person but just prepare to have yourself a long semester in which you will have to do things perfectly. In this class, he treats his grading like its a Ph.D. paper and not like an amateur English class. He is caring and will help out the class but every time I get a paper back, I lose part of my soul.

It's a difficult class because there's only 4 papers that you have to write and he is definitely a meticulous grader. Nonetheless, he is caring and will help you out if he sees you are trying. Makes a lot of jokes and talks about life stories and lessons during the lectures. He is serious about attendance and if you skip class a lot, don't take.

Dr. Doh tries his best to understand his students needs, and is super entertaining when giving out lectures. This class requires a lot of group work and participation, so attendance IS a part of your grade. Also, Dr. Doh will ALWAYS give feedbacks if you ask, and if you share your ideas to the class. These feedbacks will only help you improve!

Very funny, inspiring, authentic, encourages hard work, firm but compassionate, love story to remember for a lifetime, accessible during office hours. Upper level class that requires a lot of work, but a fun-filled learning environment.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I cannot state enough that he was hilarious and kind, often tying real life into lessons. He may be a bit tough on grading your english, but if you have questions he is prepared to teach you in a way you will understand. 10/10 professor if you can handle pressure.
