Prof. Giannet has an amazing amount of knowledge about the language and culture of Spanish-speaking countries. He is always willing to explain things over and over again. I've taken 3 classes with Prof. G, and hopefully Intermediate Spanish 2. Awesome teacher. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I wish I had this professor for SPN 1. Professor Giannet has helped me with grammer and vocab since my SPN I teacher did not help at all. He will teach you spanish that is not taught in textbooks. He's extremely friendly, helpful, and respectful. HIGHLY recommended to those that do not speak a foreign language.

I live by north campus, and will drive to West Campus (NPR) for Emmanuel Giannett. And that's with HIGH gas prices! NC has another SPN II instructor, but E. Giannett is worth the drive! SO extremely helpful. Highly recommend him to anyone who is REQUIRED to take this class. Entertaining and down to earth. You will laugh in class and have fun

Excellent Professor, I took Spanish I at another college in South Florida and DID NOT learn nearly as much as I have with this professor. He is willing to go over sections numerous times until the students learn the material. He has a very professional way when he teaches the class and is very detailed when it comes to explaining things.

I have learned more in the 4 2 hour classes than I learned from computer classes in the past 6 months. I am excited to think that I can learn enough Spanish to converse with people in social situations. For this I thank Professor Giannet and would like to continue to learn form him!

Senor Giannet was an awesome instructor! I learned so much from him and he truly cares about his students. He always showed up atleast 30-60 minutes early for class and stayed after as long as he was needed to help students that had questions. I so badly wanted to take him for Spanish 2 but he wasn't teaching it in the mornings (which I needed).

This is the greatest professor you can have for Spanish. Period. He really cares about you learning, so if you try to learn in the class you will - with A's. I highly recommend him. He tries to keep the class interesting with VERY silly jokes, but he's awesome. Our class is a giant family now. :)

Amazing. I literally drive all the way to spring hill just for his class. I took professor Pfost twice at the WC and he was terrible! I had lost faith in learning spanish until Giannet proved to me that I could succeed. Can PHCC kick out Pfost yet? Giannet is the way to go!

He is crystal clear in his explanations, tells lots of jokes in Spanish to help you remember idioms, and taught alot of grammar from the English language to help students understand the Spanish language. As long as you show up to class, participate, and pay attention theres no way you can get less then an A in this class, and you really do learn the language. Mr Giannet makes learning spanish as easy and painless as possible. He's very nice and patient, and he comes an hour early every class to answer questions. I loved this guy. He is so polite and passionate about languages, and takes time to help his students. I took Spanish 1 and got an A, the next semester the same with Spanish 2. Only two tests per semester, both in which hes very generous on grading. If you do the work, you will pass.

The most effective aspect of the course was Professor Giannet's passion for teaching the Spanish language. The least effective aspect was the textbook which had numerous errors and was ineffective. I highly recommend Professor Giannet to all who desire to learn a second language.

I drive way out of my way to go to his class. I had him for Spn1120 as well. With no previous Spanish knowledge I am now able to speak it. Most of the work is done on work sheets that he created. Giannet is a great professor. I'm currently taking Beginning Spanish 1 with him and plan to take 2 in the summer. He's a really understanding teacher and doesn't grade you on every mistake — if you haven't covered it, he won't hold it against you. He does expect you to study!! And frankly, if you study his worksheets and practice vocab, you can totally pass this class — and actually LEARN the language. Best foreign language teacher I've ever had.

For Spanish I or II your only mistake is not taking Giannet's class. Great professor, knows his languages and explains it so you will too. Don't panic over the current book 'it sucks' but his teaching style and handouts more than make up for that. He is an hour and a half early for every class for help and practice too. Good luck. Giannet is the absolute best Spanish professor you will ever get, my boyfriend took him for 2 years and forced me to as well, he would not let me go to any other spanish teacher and now I know why! He’s really dedicated to his students. He offers free help you students for an hour before class. He’s very passionate about teaching spanish!

Anyone scared of a second language should take Profe G, he will alleviate any fears you have day one. Very generous on grades if you put the effort in and go to class, handouts and tests are custom made. There is a reason he has no negative reviews, he is hands down one of the best profs at PHCC. Being an older student I was afraid of a second langyage class. Prof Giannett was the best. Not heavily centered on grades but your effort. I am surprised how much I learned in 1 semester with him. One of my top 3 teachers/prof ever. I will travel to take his Spanish 2 class.

He was never hard on you, if you try hard enough he will help you as much as he can. i do reccomend him for whoever is taking Spanish 1 and 2. Everyone in my class got all A's anyone who did lower than a C then never did any of the work.

he is a miracle worker. i only knew a handful of words but now i know alot of vocabulary as well as sentence structure and also the proper tenses. Never have i felt dumb or unwanted in class. Senor is a great teacher! He comes an hour early just for those students that need extra help. He is passionate teaching and he doesn't give up. although attendance is not mandatory this teacher will make you want to be there if only out of respect for his life experience and knowledge. He will acknowledge attendance and effort. If he sees that a student is putting forth sincere effort you will be rewarded come grading time.

I have taken another language course before. The professor of the other course was obsessed with word memorization, an almost no grammar. I hated that course. Luckily Giannet is nothing like that, he actually understands what he teaches. He also barely uses the textbook because he can teach it better. His man is an extremely wonderful teacher.

He is an AWESOME teacher. I have dyslexia and I passed Spanish 1 with an A. He doesn't move on until everyone gets it and he makes sure you get it. I took Spanish 2 over the summer and I wouldn't advise anybody to take it. The teacher is good. He really wants you to learn, but for over summer it's nearly impossible to learn a Spanish course. The pros to taking his class over summer is that he realizes that you can't retain everything, so he grades easy. Overall good professor. Tests are hard!!

I had car trouble throughout the entire 2nd half of the semester and couldn't make it to class at times. He gave me ample time to make up anything I might've missed. Mr. Giannet was a very good professor for Spanish. He is well informed on the subject, able and willing to help students whenever needed. He cares a great deal about his students and ensures their success.

Amazing professor. Wants his students to learn. Won't be pressured to finish the book. Will go at the pace of the class.

This is an amazing professor. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable beyond most other foreign language instructors. As a veteran he has served his country honorably and is living the American dream to the fullest. Take his class you won't regret it!

If you study his handouts and do homework, this class is easy. The professor prepares you twice (not graded) before each exam. There are only two exams. Homework is not graded. Dictionary are allowed on the exams and short-essays. I didn't know Spanish before this class, but I know some grammar now. Take the Spanish class with him!

Amazing instructor who cares about his students. He is there early to help you if you need it. He truly is one of the best teachers ever!

The best professor!!! He is always willing to help you understand the language and wants you to succeed. The book is not good for this class but you will need it as a reference.

The professor was really helpful and passionate about what he taught. He made learning a new language fun. I have taken him for both Spanish I and II. Though the textbook was a bit difficult to understand at times, he prepared handouts that simplified the learning process. I would recommend him to future students wanting to learn a new language.

I took Spanish 1 with Professor Giannet, and I had no hesitation in taking Spanish 2 with him as well. He is passionate about his instruction, he always helps his students, and he is very patient with everyone. I highly recommend him to anyone. Professor Giannet has been an amazing professor. If you don't go to class, you won't pass. This class is very lecture heavy and he hands out papers every class that are extremely helpful. Pay attention to the grammar rules and you'll be golden. When you buy the book, you'll only look at about 8 pages in the whole book. Get a dictionary!

Professor Giannet is one of the few professors that legitimately cares about his students learning and comprehending what he is teaching. He is in class an hour and a half before the actual class starts to offer help with anything a student is struggling with. The book sucks because some professor who taught kindergarten before PHSC picked it out.

Professor Giannet is one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you are looking for a caring and patient teacher who will help you succeed then he is the one for you. Gives you plenty of study guides and examples for test and is in class an hour early to help students that need extra help.

This instructor is so passionate about a second language. Not just vocabulary, really teaches you how to communicate in Spanish. Cares that you understand what he is teaching. Book for this class is awful, he does use it a bit though. Highly recommend taking his class!

He is by far one of the best professors! As long as you participate and try to learn, you should be able to pass with at least a B. He does his part to teach you and meet you half way. He's very understanding and passionate about his class. Taking Spanish 2 with him!

He is one of the most invested and professional professors I've ever had. He goes at the pace of the class and will only progress once he's confident everyone has had a fair shot to grasp the concepts of the lesson. He arrives an hour before class (on his own time) to answer any questions and help you with any assignments. Highly recommend!

Giannet is easily one of the best professors at any campus. I guarantee you won't find a more caring professor than him. He truly wants to see each student succeed and will do everything he can to see to that. Yes, you do need to put in some effort but making it to each class and doing the handouts will be more than enough to pass

I am so thankful to have taken this professor! He is kind, caring and passionate about teaching. He works hard to ensure that you understand the material. He comes 1 hr early to class to tutor if needed & allows you to study & make corrections to work if necessary. I took him twice driving 1 hr each way for class but so glad that I did! #takehim

I loved how this professor took his time if we didn't understand something. He goes above and beyond to help his students succeed. I wish he would teach other courses. I hate that this class is over because I will miss seeing him twice a week. He is one I would recommend over and over again.

Great teacher had him for Spanish 1 also and I'm very glad I had him as my Spanish teacher for two semesters. He gives you homework yes but that's how you learn. He's always an hour early for students who need more help as well.

Really wants students to understand and learn the language rather than just memorize what was needed just to pass and just get the credit. Makes his own packets with explanations that are way more helpful than the book.

Mr. Giannet is a fantastic teacher. I was so afraid to take Spanish 2 because my Spanish 1 was so awful. I wish I had him for a teacher the first time. This Professor Cares! I can't say enough good things about him. Who comes in early and does't get paid just to help his students? Professor Gianett does! Foreign Langauge can be difficult but he teaches you if you follow the pattern, you will learn. I highly suggest you take him for Spanish 1. Make the Repaso your bible & don't skip classes A+++

What an amazing Professor Mr. Giannet is. He's one of the greatest Professors (if not the greatest) that I've ever had! He cares about his students as if they were his children, and knows how tough it is to get an education. He loves teaching and you can even tell in the way he teaches, and he absolutely and positively puts his 100% effort into it.

Honestly probably the most caring and thoughtful teachers i have ever taken. He takes his time teaching each area and never leaves anyone behind. He cares about his students and goes above amd beyond so you succeed. It was a pleasure taking him for two semesters. You must be in class and have a dictonary!

Amazing professor! Really wants you to learn and appreciate the language, while at the same time being very sympathetic to your difficulties. He does use the book mainly for vocabulary, but his handouts are really what you need to study. As long as you do your best, he'll take care of you :) P.S. He does not do anything online.

Great professor. Cares more about learning spanish than acing the test. Uses the book somewhat, but relies mostly on his own handouts(which are much better!). Doesnt follow the syllabus whatsoever. He cares a lot and goes FAR out of his way to help students. This class is two things: great if wanting to learn spanish. Great if wanting easy A.

Professor Giannet is very down to earth and compassionate. He made the course understandable and was there before class to help every day. Take plenty of notes and keep the handouts to study from and you will do fine. I was not able to take him for Spanish 2 and I am very upset because he was one of my favorite professors that I've ever had!

He is very nice and caring, and super patient. He has a love for his language and wants others to respect that. He will work with you, and won't progress until you feel you understand the concept. If you put in the effort, no reason you cannot get an A.
