He gave more to the students then they could handle. He taught the class as if we were graduates. It was difficult, but there are three teachers in EEB instead of just one, so you have room to do well. His labs were very interesting and fun however!

His class was hard to follow at times. When it came time for the exams, he told us 70% of the exam. There is extra credit. You can go to lecture and write a few sentences about it and that he does not check it. He helped us out when it came to our lab

I loved his class....He is so easy to understand...He makes sure that everybody understands his lecture....I would recommend every science graduate to take his class ....Overall he makes "Science easy"

Easy!! He gives you what is going to be on the exam and then curves it! You can't understand him, but that doesnt matter because you won't need too. Just read the text and you got the class in the bag

for LAB .. take him .. he gives u an awesome review as long as u bug him for it! he also gives extra credit.. wants everyone to do really well and he understands that unless ur a bio major u DONT WANNA BE THERE .. pretty funny too! TAKE HIM

His lectures are hard to follow, but when it comes to the test he gives you 70% of the questions on the test plus their answers in order for you to prepare. If you don't pass atleast with a C it is your own fault.

He is a good teacher and he before the test, he goes over 80% of the material that is going to be asked on the test. You just have to study the information that he give you. He also gives you a chance to add 20 points of extra credit, so their is no reason why you should fail the course

Dr. Onaivi is a very intelligent professor, he loves his job. He takes his classes very seriously, but as far as grading goes, he gives so many extra credit opportunities, that anyone could pass the class. Although his lectures are somewhat boring, if you missed a couple classes it won't be held against you. I would definetly take him again.

Professor Onaivi is a good professor and all you have to do to past the lectures is study all the vocabulary in end of each chapter and the t/f questions that he says in class. If you can cover that, you can get a C or higher on the test. His lectures are a little bit poor, I do reccomend him if you want an easy grade and to get through the course

Excellent, intelligent professor. You just need to learn the facts and will do great in this class.

He is good teacher. The people that doesn't like him is because THEY ARE TOO LAZY TO STUDY. He DOES try to HELP students. From his help, I did so much better on the second test. He is willing to tutoring anyone. He TRIED to make the test easier on us by giving us fewer fillin the blanks. For 100 question, one point for every question. Fair, easy.

How can you guys say that he sucks?He's a sweet man, tries to help everyone and as far as his accent goes, get over it, it's not that bad.I hardly had to study for the tests. I definitely recommend taking him. A lot of people recommended him to me and I am happy I listened to them.

great prof, he is clear and very helpful. You can tell that he knows his material and really wants to help his students.

He his a great prof.Any1 who gives hima bad reveiw is bitter .The only reason they could be bitter is because they did not study.He provides you with the exact material for the test all u need to do is open yr text.He also gives u tons of extra credit opporunities.

Great professor!!! He is very helpful. Just dont let ur cell phone ring in class! Anyone who makes a bad comment about him is just plain lazy and is not willing to study!!! He gives the exact test questions as a review and most of the questions from the test are in the back of the book!!! Just have the book and you'll be fine! Take him!!

Really good professor. You can't do bad if you show up and study. Takes test questions right out of the book. First prof. I ever had that understands his class isn't the only thing we have to do in our busy lives. Good guy

Hes a good guy and cares so much about ur grade. He doesnt move on to another topic until everyone understands it. I liked him..i probably wouldnt pass if i had someone else.

Really good guy in general. Cares if you do well or not and he tries to help you in any way possible. Gives a lot of room for extra credit and is just a really good professor. He makes sure you actually understand before he moves on. I loved him and I would take him again in a heartbeat.

GREAT PROFFESSOR AT WILLIAM PATERSON. I WOULDN'T HAVE PASSED THIS CLASS IF IT WASN'T FOR HIM! HE IS CLEAR,EASY TO TALK TO,AND WONDERFUL!

BEST SCIENCE PROF! TAKE HIM! He wants everyone to pass so gives tons of extra credit and all his tests he gives review sheets not to mention all the questions in the book are on the test EXACTLY! Show up for class for an attendence grade and study the review questions and you'll get an A!

I thought his style was awesome. I'm glad he yelled at the people who had cell phones on.IT'S COLLEGE!!!He knows William Paterson is a joke, so why hate him for trying to change that!? I'm glad he catered to the smart students, cuz they earned it. The people who don't study the back of the book, DESERVE TO FAIL! Yes he's tough,but you'll learn ALOT

Of all the professor in William Paterson, Biology department, Onaivi is the only one concerned about the future of students. He loves his student and will do anything to help them succeed

If you take his class, be prepared to work hard. Lots of opportunities for extra credit, so, take advantage of it. He's a good man.

He's very intelligent and strict, but teaches you lots of important information. The class requires attendance even though he rarely takes it (only on exam days), 4 exams 100 questions, he gives you the powerpoint slides and review sheets to study from. He makes the class interesting when he talks about sex & his study on marijuana lol.

The material for the class is a lot but he finds a way to make it work! He wants everyone to do well and offers a lot of extra credit. The tests are literally the review sheets he gives and the white pages at the end of the chapters. He is an amazing professor!

Dr. Onaivi is a good guy. He wants his students to do well and is willing to help them. He gives out great review sheets for the test, which have questions that are usually on the test. Go to the extra credit he offers and you'll do fine! Definitely try to take him for both lab & lecture. I got an A, it's really not that hard if you try.

IDK what everyone is crying about. I taken him for 3 classes and got all A's Yes he has an accent, yes he repeats himself, yes he forgets stuff, but he is super easy grader. He gives you half of exam (legit) as a study guide. If you become friends with him he will curve you. Be respectful study & ull pass, cant do that than what u doing in college?

I room him for A&P I definitely recommend him he gives you the answers to over half the test so its almost impossible to fail . However, do not use your phone during class or interrupt his lectures. He gives you a lot of opportunity to get extra credit up to 20 points

I felt like he really wants what is best for us and for us to pass. He told us that us passing means that he has passed as a professor.

I took him for applied anatomy and he is a great professor. He knows what he is talking about and gives out study guides for tests that are the answers, he will give 60 out of 100 answers. If you go to SEC that counts as extra credit, up to ten points. and even things outside like seminars that he will count as additional extra.

First day of class he said no rumors from rate my professor of all the negative feedback. To be honest he is so fair, respected and really cares for the students past, present and future. I love professors like these. More need to be like Dr. O.

was understanding under covid and gave good reviews for exams.

He is very understanding. He is helpful and his review guides for exams have the exact questions on the exam. He offers extra credit for going to the SEC and other events he runs such as seminars. I recommend participation and creating a relationship with him. The material is a lot but he sets you up to pass.

This professor was the nicest professor I've ever had in the science department. If you study hard and do everything he asks you will get an A. He really cares about his students. He offers a lot of extra credit and is extremely clear on his grading and exams, and lets you choose when you want to have the exam. He wants everyone to do well.
