Segman is pretty straight forward, his quizzes are multiple choice, if you're not taking 15 other credits, you can do ok if you just read the book. He goes off on tangents sometimes, so just bear with it and tape the lectures.

if you want a teacher who will actually teach you about the course then do not take him. he goes off track and talks about his marathons and his life.

I loved Captain Segmen. I took him for both sections A/B. Yes he was hard, but he was also really good. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM A BIOLOGY COURSE??!! If you had a prob with something he would take time to explain it to you, so he was very clear. Do take alot of notes and read, if you have a voice recorder then bring it. His class was wonderful!

Dr. Segman is a great instructor, his learning style is relaxed and fun. He does not pull pushes and strive for your very best. He himself is a person with learning disorder so he teaches his class with ease for those who also has learning disorders

Bio20A/B: Captain Segmen is an awesome professor and inspiring mentor. Lots of real-life related experiences in healthcare and health in general make this class more fun and interesting then just dry text. Segmen's series isn't hard, but LOTS covered- take basic science classes first and expect to be responsible; Great Teacher!

I took Dr. Segmens class almost 6 years ago, he is the best Science professor I have ever had. I am much better prepared than most of my other classmates in nursing school and still remember in detail all of the major concepts of A&P. For those of you that complain about taking a test every week try being graded on only four tests per semester!

Em is a genius with 5 Masters. Skip a class and its your loss; a lot of material is covered in one day. There is no homework, but the weekly test require you really own the material covered. I use to record the lectures and found that Em gives the answer to every quiz question in class. Hard class, but the giant grade curve was more than generous

Anat & Phys is a really hard class w/ lots to memorize. However, Segmen makes it more manageable by giving 2 quizzes each wk which breaks down the material into smaller portions. Lab practical & Final are cumulative. Just study the book, attend his lectures, take great notes or record the lectures & you will get an A!

Anatomy and Physiology requires a lot of memorization. Prof. Segmen makes it easy - there are no midterms, but there are 2 quizzes a week. This ensures that you learn the material bit by bit instead of cramming it all in the week before a midterm. You get used to the quiz style really quickly - and it's a great way to learn the material.

This class is not graded and it is entirely up to the student to participate in to further understand the anatomy of the human body. I took this class concurrently with my anatomy lab. Professora inspired me to get a PhD, and to view health from a holistic perspective. While she is a well respected physiologist, she is so much more than that. I took Professora Em's bio/physio class a long time ago. She is amazingly smart and passionate about the subjects she teaches. The class was hard for me, so much detail in the human body that I had a tough time remembering some things. Em wrote me a letter for a nursing masters program, I ended up going into some else and then something else.

I am currently an NP student about to graduate from Yale and can honesty say i would not be here today without Em. The 20A and B series were the first classes i took after my bachelors degree to see if a world in health care was an option. Prof. Segman demonstrates mastery of the material- her level of knowledge of the subject matter is inspirational! Additionally, she is incredibly dedicated to supporting students. For those of us pursuing healthcare careers (many in A&P!), she is a tremendous resource and the classroom community she builds makes class a positive, enriching space.

Professora Em is an exceptional professor. If you are struggling she will take her time after class to help you. You can't fail this class unless you want to. Professora is respected by countless people, and will give you a respectable letter of recommendation however you must ask her early trust me she's booked! Take this class!

Professora Em is amazing. This is the first science class I have actually enjoyed. There are quizzes every Monday but professora makes sure you are prepared and gives you exactly what you need to pass. There are so many opportunities to get a good grade in this class. I highly recommend this class to anyone taking BIO20A/B

This class is a breath of fresh air. Unlike other courses that bog you down, Professora provides a discourse that is inspirational and informative with all the knowledge she knows youll need to succeed. She is there for you when you need her and provides a space for you to grow academically and personally. She has my highest recommendation.

She gives you 2quizzes each week (43questions) each quiz has 3 extra credit questions which helps a lot. She gives the exact questions for each quiz in a study guide. All the answers to the guide are on quizlet. An A is for sure possible if you study and get good grades on the quizzes. The final is 200 questions taken for each you take. Enjoyed her

Professor is above and beyond, she explaines the material very well and she makes her lectures thorough, she taught step by step and very helpful with students. She always encourages all her students. All the material was put on Youtube during the corona virus pandamic, she is very organized. Her exams are fair and she gives you all the help. Best

I have taken both BIO20A and 20B with Professora and I highly recommend her. She is an extraordinary teacher who truly cares about her students. She has created a supportive classroom environment with well organized lectures. She encourages questions and discussion in the classroom. There are weekly quizzes and a cumulative final.

Professora Em is amazing! Im taking her online class for Bio 20A and will definitely be signing up for 20B. Although I havent met her in person , I can tell that she truly cares about her students learning and well being. Professora Em always wants to make sure we are taking care of ourselves with the stress of school and personal life. 10/10!

Profesora Em may be one of the most personable, warm instructors I've ever had! Even through the online format of Anatomy & Physiology, I feel supported and involved in class. This is definitely a class to dedicate a significant portion of your life to study lol, but with Prof Em on your side, it isn't too bad.

I took Professora EMs Bio 20A class in fall 2020. She was the best instructor I have ever had in my life. She was very respectful and caring. She did everything she could to help her students succeed. I enjoyed all her lectures and learned a lot in her class. I highly recommend her. She is the best instructor in the world (I mean it)!

I had the privilege of being one of Prof. Em students, it was an honor to be taught by Prof. Em. One of the best professors I've ever had. I took Bio 20B during the summer and it was great.

Participation is optional. Grading is straight forward. She is very helpful. She has made all of the work (lectures, lab) accessible online, so even when you've complete class you can still refer back. I recommend showing up in person for lectures & lab. She understands people are busy w/ their lives & makes this class as accommodating as it can be
