He is the most wonderful math teacher! I was really bad at Math and especially tests, he helped me all the way through! All you have to do is communicate with him, e-mail him as much as possible, and he will be there for you. He obviously loves his job

First off, I hate Math but if you have to take it you better take it with Lancaster. He is the best! The most clear most organized teacher I have ever had in my whole life!! The semester is almost over and I still have an A (I finished w/ a C in 96) Please do yourself a favor and take him!! The BEST

Very organized, very clear, sometimes spoke and wrote faster than I could understand, but always took the time to bring up to speed, helpful outside of class, has cool ties, pretty funny guy, and you'd never think he used to be a military pilot.

He talks really fast and sometimes it's hard to keep up, but just look at the book right after the lecture and you'll be fine. Tests are REALLY EASY, gives partial credit for attempting the problem. Do the homework and it's an easy Am my test grades were B's/C's and missed 6 classes, but managed to pull an A. Has different ties for every day.

Mr. Lancaster is AWESOME. If you hate math, take him, if you love math take him. He is a REAL teacher and he is fair. He cares about the student actually learning the material, which is a change from most. I wish I could take him for every one of my classes. Good Luck

If you hate Math and can't understand it take him. I 've always got bad grades in math and he made me understand it in a way that made me pass with a B . I wish I could have him in 96. His test are easy and he gives you half credit if you try to work the problem out.

Mr. Lancaster is a great teacher. Very clear and organized. He is funny and really nice. Do not be afraid to take this class. The material is easily learned if you take his notes and do the homework. Very fair grader & extra credit on tests. Homework and notbook count towards the final grade - easy points! Wish he was teaching 96 next semester!

very fast paced teacher grinds it down to the last minute. will help you if needed. does not really give a chance to breathe and ask questions. basically its like listening to someone tell you what the books says for an hour. as long as you keep up with the homework and do fair on test you should easily past. i got a B and missed alot of HW.

Excellent teacher! It was hard to adjust to his fast paced method of teaching, but as long as you take good notes and do your homework you should do well on your tests. Allows you to turn in work late, and is extremely flexible. I highly recommend this professor.

If you are a person who does't like math this is the teacher for you. Prof. Lancaster is precise, methodical, and is a beliver that math shouldn't be hard. Tests are based on the simplest examples from the text (easy tests). His assignment of homework pinpoints all that you should know on the tests:PS there is a answer guide to the text book.

He is the best Math Professor I have ever had! He is so clear and organized. He keeps everything simple for us. He says he doesnt want to confuse us more. He gives you points for trying on the test instead of marking everything off. You get points for note taking, homework and gives xtra credit. You can pass this class. He is awesome!!!!

good at explaining things step by step. But very methodical. Will take points off if he checks your notebook and you are not carrying the syllabus or any other hand out that he has given you. You can take A+ in all tests, but if you return incomplete homework or don't have all the silly handouts with your notebook, he will unfairly lower your grade

For anyone that struggles with Algebra, Mr. Lancaster is the professor to take. His lectures are full of detail and missing a class will hurt you. Amazing professor. Extremely organized - crystal clear with everything. I had anxiety about taking Math 95 but actually enjoyed this class and received an A. He has a great sense of humor that he brings out when he feels the class needs a laugh to loosen things up. I highly recommend this prof, he gives ample extra credit opportunities too.

I had Mr. Lancaster for Math 35 in Fall 07'and for Math 95 in Spring 08'. Mr. Lancaster is an exceptional teacher and truly cares about his students. He wants you to learn and do good and is there to help you with any questions. If you are apprehensive about taking Math this is the teacher you want because you'll come away really liking Math.

I used to HATE math, until I took his class. He explained each step clearly, and went over stuff you didn't understand. He is very funny, I actually enjoyed to his class. If you have never done well in math, and hated it...he is the one that will turn it all around.

I took Mr. Lancaster for Algebra, now Im in Calculus. Mr. Lancaster still tutors me. He is such a genuine person. Before he starts his class he writes the notes of the pervious class. Who does that. He is truly a great professor. He teaches great fundamentals of math and it's an easy A if you do your homework. It's a win/win.

Lancaster is an excellent teacher. He actually made math fun..and I loathe math. He's relaxed on homework deadlines, but do the homework for points, and he checks that you have done every problem. The tests are EASY if you did the homework, and the final exam... problems straight off the tests. Like exact. I got an easy A, and learned stuff too.

He is the best math professor EVER. If math is not your strongest subject he can convey things in a way that will have you feeling like you are mathematical genius. This was my 3rd semester taking Professor Lancaster and managed to pass all classes with B+ and I'm usually a D average. Not only is he an awesome teacher that wants his students to learn, but he will do everything in his power t help his tudents pass. TAKE HIM, TAKE HIM, TAKE HIM! You will not regret it!!

Mr. Lancaster is the best math teacher ever! He uses different color chalk so you can see the steps. Lecture is more scientific, as he goes over the methods and all vocabulary. Draws cartoons on the board. He really wants his students to succeed, and has a passion for teaching the material. The K.I.S.S. principle applies.

BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!!!! I hardly ever get an A in math classes. His class is very easy if you put the time in. He doesn't mind if you miss class just let him know. Mr. Lancaster genuinely wants students to succeed. EXTREMELY helpful and clear. He does more class work than any student will and gives you "methods" to solve problems. I struggled with math and got an A in his class. He is as close to perfect that you will get with a math instructor. I STRONGLY recommend Lancaster if you can get him.

Very fast paced class and LOTS of hw from textbook, no online hw. Gives points on tests for trying, even if answer is wrong. Very funny, cares about students, gives individual help in office hours. If you struggle with math, he's the teacher to take.

Before taking this class I had failed 46 twice and never understood the material. Once I took 96 with Lancaster I finally understood the material and managed to pass with a good grade! Loved this class.

I love him! He is funny, optimistic, and helpful! He grades easy and he works around the textbook. This semester we were supposed to have the 6th ed. of his math book (which was over 100 dollars) but he was ok with the 5th ed. too, because it was pretty much the same problems. I rented a 5th ed. from Chegg for 5bucks. TAKE HIM! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Mr. Lancaster is a true gem when it comes to math professors! I have taken him for two math courses now, and most likely will be taking him for a third course as well! His classes are passable if you try, he is very generous with partial credit on his exams which are based off in class notes. He is extremely organized and breaks down the steps.

Loved this class if I could take him for another math class i would! He makes his lectures entertaining and hes understanding and makes learning thing your are comfortable with easy to get. Its easy to get EC on the test, just try to write something! I got an A on pretty much everything and before this I hated math. He makes it not so bad.

Show up, write the things he writes on the board (you have to anyways, he makes sure that you do them by sort of checking it before every exam), and do the homework. If you write down all the notes, the homework is a breeze, and if you do all the homework and study before the exam for like, 45min, you are golden for all exams. He's really nice too

He is funny and reminds me of a fifth grade math teacher. Always fun and loves math humor. Make sure to study yourself for the quizzes. Takes attendance everyday.

Before class starts he will answer homework questions, then he will write up notes on the white board with what was covered the last class. There's 4 exams, homework assigned every class, and you'll need to take notes. He makes a hard class EASY!

Really nice guy but a little confusing sometimes. I just feel like he over complicates certain things that could be a lot easier. 4 easy tests throughout the whole semester, he gives a lot of partial credit and as long as you do your homework and take notes, it is an easy A.

Daily homework off textbook. VERY lenient grader. Gives credit just for trying. 4 exams, all based off the homework. Class is basically note taking using examples from the book. Keep up with homework and study off of the assignments to pass. Comprehensive final, also based off tests which you'll have to study from. Takes roll daily so show up.

This professor is my favorite so far. He is funny, creative, and very caring. The questions are easy if you do homework and read his lecture notes and please go to the student tutoring center for help with homework. He gives a lot of extra credit and He is always wears different cute neck ties. He truly cares about his students. He is amazing.

Professor Lancaster is what every math teacher wants to be when they grow up. I took Math 116 and consider myself math challenged. Professor Lancaster's lectures (orally & in writing) were very clear, homework assignments were relevant to tests, and test and final prep was excellent. He provides as much feedback as you need if you ask him for it.

You don't study, you won't pass. He is brilliant, very helpful with whatever you got going on. Recommendation letters, etc. Even after surgery, he is still there the next day with a smile on his face. His good energy is contagious and constant even on a late night class.

WOW! If it weren't for Lancaster I would be retaking 96. He is an amazing teacher, always willing to help, and just loves his job. He is an extremely laid back guy, and super easy grader. SO much so that many students talk over him and allows you to be lazy- don't take if you're going into a higher math.

Great professor ! Prof. Lancaster was there for me the whole way, if you don't get a problem you can ask him before class or after and he will teach you the steps, on top of that he's a very reasonable person. Im going to take him again this fall semester ! I would recommend 10/10 he's awesome!

Best professor ever! The homework & labs are graded on effort/completion & his test are very easy. He does have an attendance policy but it didnt appear to be heavily enforced. My favorite part was that he didn't randomly pick on students, he just lectures which was great for me. Hes very nice & easy to talk to, you can tell he genuinely cares!

Best Professor for Math 116 and Prerequisites! He Definitely will help you out if you do not understand the material! Plus beginning of every class hell gives a little explanation of what you learned the prior class which I loved!

Best Math Prof at Mesa! I had to drop Math116 & waited another year & a half so I could take him. His lectures are relevant to the test which he writes himself. Recaps last week on the board & uses that info for test questions. If you pay attention, take good notes, DO THE HOMEWORK, you will pass with an A or a B. He does not assign excess HW.

Amazing lectures! Im not a math major or really great at math but you need to take notes and go to the tutor whenever you do not know something. Will give credit on tests even if you put something down! Grade is based off of tests, homework, and notebook. Had a b- my first test but never got below an A the next tests!

This guy is a jokester, in a good way. He'll find a way to lighten the mood even though no one wants to be there in class. He's really straight to the point with his lectures. The best part about him is that he's very forgiving on how he grades your tests. I got an A on all his tests, so I only needed a B on his final. He offers extra credit too.

Professor Lancaster is a good Professor, I took him over the spring and I passed the class with an A. I would recommend you doing the homework, since they're pretty much similar to the exams. Easy to get along and there is in total of 27 homework sets, and 4exams!

Professor Lancaster is a Naval Academy graduate and an overall amazing person who cares deeply for his students and what he does. Study the syllabus, do the homework and show up for class and you will receive an A! Be ready to work! He is incredibly fair!

I love Mr. L. He is my favorite professor. He really engages his students and wants them to have fun. He does speed through lecture, but if you ask him to go over something again, he will. He also holds office hours every week and posts the lectures. Love this professor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Didn't like the class at first, but after getting used to his teaching and grading style it became much easier. Lectures and text book go fast and there isn't any extra time, so you need to keep up. As long as you complete the homework, everything else falls in place. Tests questions are taken directly from homework. Make an attempt on everything!

Such a sweet & fun professor! Math is my LEAST favorite subject but he explained the concepts well and made the class enjoyable. Very flexible - gives points for trying, EC, & HW (MyOpenMath) due at the end of the semester. Did skip over a few concepts & the class felt rushed at times but the HW goes over them w/ tutorials. Try not to fall behind!

Excellent professor, funny and taught the material well. Tests are fairly straightforward, with some questions literally being copy pasted from homework lol. Needless to say it's not a particularly challenging class as a result. Still, he has a good teaching style that promotes a good understanding of the material. All in all, he's a good teacher.

Professor Lancaster is super sweet and funny! He creates an awesome atmosphere that really promotes learning in the most fun way possible. He allows students to use a flashcard on each test, gives extra credit, and grades for partial credit as well. He definitely helped me hate math just a little less!

Professor L is very caring and puts a lot of effort into teaching. Most of the material is tedious, but it will make sense when you complete the homework. He is understanding of circumstances outside of school and is very lenient. Moreover, curves heavily on each exam and lets you bring an index card to each exam. He is very funny and cool!
