Emmie Twomey is probably the best professor I have had. She makes class run with a bunch of activities, and gives amazing feedback when grading. Also, make friends in her class because their is a bunch of partner/group activities.

She was by far my favorite professor. if I could, I would take the class again. As long as you show up and do your work this class will be easy, and you will do just fine.

This professor will let you print out your papers in her room sometimes and when you accidently print out th wrong one, she will understand and let you print the right one. Shes very nice and knows how to make your essays better.

Quizzes are once a week but nothing too hard. She explains what she is looking at when she is grading.

Mrs. Twomey is an awesome professor and extremely sweet. She grades exactly the way she says she does, so you know what to expect when you turn in a paper. There are pop quizzes sometimes, but she tells you what to read and when you will take them. Overall a very fun class, and easy if you pay attention and complete the work on time.

Professor Twomey is the kindest professor I have ever had. You can tell that she truly cares for all of her students. Her class is not hard at all, but you do have to keep up. As long as you stay on top of your work this class is very easy.

I loved this professor! I feel like I actually learned quite a bit during my time with her and everything she taught was made clear. She made sure we thoroughly learned what we were going over and always gave us great advice in our writing. She is very inspirational and would be a great first professor to anyone starting!

Professor Twomey does allow you to bring in notes to excuse your absence just communicate with her. She offers lots of help with writing essays and refers you to outside sources that can help. There are quizzes but you know about them a week in advance. The quizzes are easy just read. Great teacher that really cares about you and how you develop.

My only complaint, if you could call it that, would be the journals being a bit long. Everything else is great, good personality, committed to teaching and grading, and takes her job seriously. A good example of how committed she is to her students would be our most recent essay, where she read every one of our essays 17 times. I would recommend.

Professor Twomey is an amazing professor. When giving instructions she is very clear on exactly what she wants, and her expectations. She gives great feedback and is willing to help anyone who needs it. There are a decent amount of essays, and a few quizzes which require textbook reading. Anyone can do well in this class if they put in the effort.

Professor Emmie Twomey's class has been a delight! The class has been super engaging and has challenged me in a way that has allowed me to grow, while still holding me accountable. She is very understanding but still expects things to be done correctly and within the time given. She provides in-depth explanations and feedback. I would recommend it.

Emmie Twomey is an amazing professor. This was my first semester taking her and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else. She has everything organized and neatly done to where it is easy on us. We did a few writing samples and essays but it was nothing extreme, coming from someone who struggles writing. She has a great personality and is very helpful.

I have took Proffesor Twomey for 1301 and 1302 ENGL. If you are worried about taking English take professor Twomey. Her class is a welcoming environment and the difficulty level is low. Be prepared to have open discussions on class with your peers though, not often but at least 3 times the semester. You will write at least 4 to 5 papers.

She was pretty cool and made the classes engaging. The short stories we read were pretty entertaining and she made sure they were ones she thought we would like. Only a few essays and they were pretty easy as long as you follow along in class when she reads them.

She is very understanding and polite when she is talking to people regardless of who you are.

Normally I hate english classes, but she made it fun by choosing interesting stories based on what she thinks we would like given our responses to the previous stories. We did a good bit of writing, but the stories were so rich, that it made it really easy to write lots about. 10/10 would recommend.

I think Mrs.Twomey is a very sweet teacher and she's really caring for all her students. She has a good way of making sure that you get your work done on time. She also had a great way with adding a whole list at the beginning of each week of what the students will be doing, that way if they need any reminders, they can see it.

She is a very heavy grader, and assigns a lot of textbook work. But she just gives you time consuming work not hard work, she warns you about quizzes, does multiple announcements to remind us of test or essays or assignments due. She answered questions and gives such good feedback, she helps you to her best possible abilities.
