Avoid this teacher at all costs. A crazy amount of homework that is over content she does not cover and she sometimes is not able to figure out herself. The tests are confusing and she grades hard. In class I couldnt understand what she was saying and trying to convey. She also never gave us the class key to the textbook.
Although she is a nice lady. She has got to be one of the hardest math teachers I've ever had in my life. She grades EXTREMELY hard and is very picky with SHOW WORK. I hope I never have to take her again. I only survived because I went to tutoring from the DAE every day, all day. She also rarely responds to emails because she doesn't check for them
Not the type of class where you can wait until the night before to start studying for your exam. I didn't understand the material well but she was extremely helpful in office hours and SO KIND. Yes, calc is hard, and you have to earn your grade in this class, but it's clear what she expects. She's more of the "firm but fair" type.
Tough teacher but explains well. Very helpful during office hours (office and zoom).
Dr. Lakuriqi is a great teacher and always available for help. Love her handwriting. She sounds tough but she cares.
Professor Lakuriqi has great videos. Sometimes a bit too long, but crystal clear. She's also very flexible to meet you outside of class.
I liked Prof. Lakuriqi's videos. She is also super available when you have a question. Kind lady.
Dr. Laquriki is an okay professor, tests are 4/5 difficulty and the grading is extremely strict and tests have only 4 or so questions with multiple parts and if you dont know one part you are screwed. Homework is extremely difficult as well. I would find another option for diff eq but you will do fine in this class if you have to take it
Avoid taking her class if possible. She is good at Math but lacks the skills of teaching a class. If you take her class, you will have to make a lot of effort to pass the tests. She will most likely only help students that she likes and won't care much about others. No matter how much you will study, you will struggle in her tests.
LinearAlgebra isnt a hard course but this teacher made it hard. This class had 80% of its grade for exams and 20% for homework with no ExtraCreditOpportunity. StudentsNot good with test taking shouldnt take her class at any cost. TheNotes she posted were NotOrganizedAndWhenTeaching it was she often started the class late. SheTaughtFromPreparedNotes
She organized the class with 80% of the grade as exams and 20% homework, no quizzes, or extra credit. Her exams were very challenging and unique, on top of it the way she graded them was hard. Dont take her class if youre not good w test taking because if u wanna do well u gotta be good w test taking or else youll fail her class as exams are 80%.
She doesn't know how to explain math well. You can tell she knows the math and understands the content but a lot of it can get lost in translation. I would take her over some other teachers at UGA, but not my first choice. If you are a good learner I would take her but a lot of effort will go into trying to understand what she is trying to explain
Not a bad choice for Calculus, very devoted to helping students, sometimes a little difficult to understand and class is slow (but such is calculus).
Shes a good professor, sometimes class is pretty slow. But if you just ask questions on any confusions you have, she will answer them clearly. The homework is helpful. She can help outside of class too you just have to let her know. She is really not bad at all. Kind woman.
Hand writes notes on board and doesnt post them online, so even tho she doesnt take attendance, dont skip or youll be lost. But the notes are very good and detailed. Always ready to work out problems from the homework and do examples. Sometimes shes not that great at communication though.
I really like Dr. Lakuriqi's class. She's a bit of a tough love person but she actually really cares and will take her time to help provided you reach out. I really learned a lot in that class.
The class is hard. But differential equations is a hard topic anyways, and Dr. Lakuriqi really does try and make it as digestable as possible. The tests are pretty tough, but fair, and if you go to office hours and make sure to keep up with the material it is more than doable.
A little hard to understand (combination of accent, large vocabulary) but super nice and will repeat things if necessary. Several times she took class time to show prereq concepts we lacked as a class, couple of those she took class time multiple times during the semester to explain. Do hw early to prep for the exams and ask questions, she helps
Professor Lakuriqi is very methodical and she explains very well. She's always willing to help during office hours. Exams are not trivial but no surprises.
She is very caring for her students and makes learning pretty interesting. Lectures are good and she really prepares you for your exams. Homework is straight forward and she makes great exam reviews to study. Would recommend as a teacher for a more chill approach to calculus
This is a very hard class that you'll have to spend A LOT of time on. That being said, if you have to take it, take it with her. She is more than happy to help if you have questions and iwill work around your schedule if you can't make it to office hours. The only bad thing is her teaching is overly formal, but she's great and I'd recommend her.
Genuinely one of the worst professors I have ever had. The number of times I have left class even more confused because it seemed like she was teaching the content to herself too. I think this is because she is so good at math that it is hard to put calc 1 into terms that make sense to someone trying to learn it. BE PREPARED TO FIND A TUTOR.
I'm not a math person and I don't think this class is easy but I like how she explains on the board. She is picky but she explains real well how to work through problems. She also is super helpful and available. Take her if you need a good organization.
She is such a caring teacher, she teaches Calc 1 very thoroughly and offers so many opportunities for explanations and help. Her homework is not hard to keep up with and it does well to prepare you for her exams. While her formal teaching style can be a little picky she makes it very clear what she's looking for so its easy to adapt to.
This was the hardest class I've ever taken, and I'm usually good at math. I failed every test except the final even though I worked really hard. The homework was completely different from the tests. She was very helpful, but it wasn't enough. She does curve the final grade though. I would try to get a different prof.
Dr. Lakuriqi is a very caring professor who explains calculus in a digestible manner. She offers so many opportunities for you to improve/practice your calculus and grades very fairly. She wants her students to do well and is always more than willing to stay after class to answer any of your questions. Great professor who helped me learn so much.
I loved her teaching style! Would highly recommend if you are a person who likes being taught math by example problems. Very kind and made sure to be available out of class. Just make sure to do the practice exams that she uploads and attend every lecture and you should do well in the class.
The professor is so sweet and I really enjoyed the way she taught. You just have to copy down her notes exactly that she writes on the board and she works through problems with you. The practice tests are very similar to the real ones. Only thing I will say is that there are no quizzes and not a lot of tests so do study for them.
She is very sweet and has the neatest handwriting. I'm still in the class, but I understand everything she is teaching very well. She grades fairly. Homework is all due the day before the test. Just a super nice lady who really does care. Would definitely take her again (in a heartbeat actually)
I was very certain I was going to get a B in her class, but I was able to pull it up to an A-. She is a great teacher, and a very nice person. The class was relatively difficult, but she is always available for office hours and always willing to help. Although attendance is not mandatory, make sure to go to class as notes don't get posted online
Dr. Lakuriqi is a great lecturer and explained concepts really well. Her lectures were well planned and the course is very organized. The exams were difficult, did not have many questions on them, and were worth 80% of your final grade. Homework wasn't too bad and was due at the end of every unit. Overall, great prof, but hard class.
She's a nice, positive woman who wants her students to succeed. She did give us an extra credit assignment. I took this class before and got an A in undergrad. I was told to take it again since I haven't taken a math class in a while and I will get a C in her class. Her tests are not easy. I wouldn't take her again even though I genuinely like her.
MOTHERRR. I love Enka so much! Her and her husband have reaffirmed my decision to add a math major. Dr. Lakuriqi cares that you understand the concepts of the subject matter, and won't take off much for mistakes. As long as you keep your homework grade at a 100% and attend all her lectures, you can easily get an A. I want her for every math class!
So, I took her class and struggled the whole way through it. I think she cares about how her students perform in class, and she seems nice. The test do not reflect the homework. She does give study guides however, I cannot stress this enough. If you have horrible handwriting do not take her class. She took off too many points for organization.
Hard to understand sometimes bc of accent, and she had a hard time understanding students when they would ask questions. Decent amount of homework. Difficult tests, luckily the final is a mass exam. Would try to take another professor.
I love Dr. Lakuriqi. I think she has really great lectures and when you have questions she is always willing to meet and help. The class is not easy but she is willing to help you.
Professor Lakuriqi shows great care towards her students and wants them to succeed even beyond her class. She explains math very effectively and caters to any questions during class. I would definitely recommend her MATH 2260 class to anyone considering it.
Professor Lakuriqi was one of the best math teachers I have ever had. Although the class is difficult, her lectures are extremely thorough and she gives more than enough time for students to write notes down. She cares about her students and provides resources for everyone to succeed in her course. I would definitely recommend taking her class :)
This was the hardest class I've taken so far. She makes sure her students understand the content on a deeper level, so the tests, homework, etc., are harder than other MATH 2260 classes. That said, she is one of the most caring professors I've had. She was always willing to meet with me outside of class, and if you put in the work, it will show.
I just took Linear Algebra with Dr. Lakuriqi over the summer2024,it was literally the best class ever! The material is fascinating and she makes it even more amazing. She's like an artist on the chalkboard, explaining the concepts. Just show up to class, be ready to learn, and you'll love it! She is passionate about teaching and it shows.
Pay attention to the class lectures, do your work diligently, and try to ask questions, you should be fine
This was taken during the summer, so workload was quite heavy nonetheless I enjoyed the class. She teaches the concepts very well in the given time frame of a summer course
She is super nice and caring, her lectures are phenomenal and she explains things really well, however along with that her tests are very challanging but definitely doable if you study and prepare. I went to a lot of office hours and when she sees you put in effort she helps out a lot. she doesnt post notes online so you have to go to class
Enka was a very conflicting professor. It seemed like she cared, but then she would promise extra credit for 6 hours of out of class work then say it was too much credit. She is extremely disorganized and has the worst time management of any teacher i've ever had. I will never take an honors math class again thanks to enka.
2260H She was very inconsistent in both grading and teaching and had terrible time management skills: showed up to class late, always taught for several minutes over, held out of class reviews to teach new info. She lied about what would be on tests. Not attending is detrimental. I am sure there are easier, more consistent Calc 2 professors.
Expectations clear as mud. Went to office hours + she said she couldn't help me. Her teaching was awful. Did terrible on quizzes and midterms, only did well on the final bc I figured out her confusing grading. She was obviously unkind to some + made fun of kids asking questions. Won't give enough practice even when asked. HW doesn't reflect tests.
This is a honors class so I wasn't expecting it to be easy yet the tests were very reasonable. She is very approachable and her lectures are really great. Sometimes she might be a bit disorganized but is always willing to work with students.
Dr. Lakuriqi is a great professor! At first, I didn't feel super prepared for the class, but as the semester went on, she made it easier to keep up. She covers some cool topic; I wish the class was longer because I feel we just touched the surface. Exams are ok and the group project at the end was actually cool. Recommend this class!
Enka was the sweetest. She always tried to make sure everyone understood the subject, even if it meant delaying exams or review sessions outside of class. Quizzes every Friday, but there are two drops. I'd say that if you take notes, do the hw, and the review guide, you should be good. Don't be afraid to ask!
Dr. Lakuriqi was inconsistent and unorganized. She was regularly late to class and went over time. She was reluctant to give solutions to practice problems which made them pointless. If you miss 4 classes, she withdraws you from course. Still, she was a decent professor, and you could succeed if you put the work into her course. Office hours helped
This is a very traditional class where you need to attend every lecture to be successful. The class is much more difficult than regular Calc II, but I felt challenged in a positive way. It definitely requires you to put in the work outside of class on practice problems and attending office hours.
2 exams, 1 group project, & hw. Lectures were all over the place. Project had no clear guidelines. Disorganized, moved our second exam over a month later and made it a take-home exam. I think (?) she curved everyone's grades b/c we were all a little lost. Doesn't take attendance. If u miss class, get notes from a friend b/c she doesn't post them.
I like Prof Lakuriqi a lot. I think this are the clearest lectures I ever had in math. She is demanding but cares a lot. Take her if you want to learn.
I had to withdraw from the class because she makes the exams and quizzes so hard that it's almost impossible to get an A unless you have already taken calc. She was a really sweet lady, but her practice never helped, and you had to spend so much time on this class. She expects you to dedicate all of your time to this class.
She was a nice lady, but the class was very difficult to do good in. The quizzes and exams were hard, and I felt as if we were not prepared very well for them. The solutions to the worksheets that were supposed to prepare you for the quizzes were usually posted very late the night before.
I love her explanations!!
She's a very clear and effective instructor. If you have questions, she takes the time to explain things thoroughly during office hours and is very flexible with her time. Her teaching is easy to follow—just make sure to take good notes and study them!
ll start by saying that Professor Lakuriqi is a very kind and caring person, and it's clear that she has a strong love for math. However, at times her expectations are too high. Her tests and quizzes very difficult and she can be harsh with grading. While she is very clear in her explanations, her teaching style just wasn't the best fit for me.
So confused by how many 5s she has. Nice but not a good teacher! So hard to follow in class and just solves problems on the board without explaining them. Tests were super hard and she did not give much partial credit for working it out with a wrong answer. I felt like she wasn't open to helping me in office hours either. NEVER ANSWERS HER EMAIL!
I would not recommend her to anyone... she is not the worst teacher ever, but the lectures are very rushed and frantic and we ALWAYS run out of time. She is hard to reach outside of class and becomes frantic when students ask for clarification. Grading is extremely hard and no feedback is given, 1 error and you've dropped multiple letter grades.
Hard quizzes and tests, she's usually late to class and ends class 5-10 minutes late. DO NOT schedule a class directly after hers. You'll be better prepared for the final but it's hard to get an A because the test avg is usually around 70. Also posts exam and quiz reviews last minute so prepare to cram study.
She prepares you real well but you have to be ready to work. If you just want to pass go somewhere else but she really wants you to be prepared.
She's a nice person, but she is head of the department! Meaning she is a REALLY tough grader. Grading is 10% homework, and the rest is quizzes and exams. Her lectures are organized and clear, but the questions on the exams are much more difficult than the practice ones in class. I would recommend not taking the department head, her class is hard.
Easily the toughest math professor ever. Despite being department head she is EXTREMELY disorganized making it difficult to learn. She feels like her class is the only class you should focus on. Always late and always goes over time. She also does NOT post notes. She does not give extra credit/ test corrections like most other Calc professors.
Don't take this professor. She expects you to spend the majority of your time in this class, harsh grader even with partial points, is uncaring, hard to reach outside of class, little to no ECs, and for some reason gets annoyed when her students ask her questions in class. Do yourself a favor and choose someone else.
Not sure why there's so much hate—she's definitely demanding, but she explains things really clearly. I felt very well prepared for the final.
She only goes by lectures which tend to be disorganized and is definitely one of the more difficult calc 1 professors. Little to no extra credit that most other professors offer for the course. tests are much harder than homework and material taught in class. genuinely busted my butt in this class studying. pick another prof if u can
Such a caring and helpful professor! She's always there when you need help, explains things really clearly and takes her time. Super organized too — everything makes sense and you always know what's going on. Definitely take her if you can!
I struggled during the semester but at the end I did great on common final. I'm glad that I took this class. Tough live but worth it
She keeps up with in person classes much better but I wouldn't recommend this professor for any online classes. Shes difficult to reach, we had essentially zero details of our final exam up until when we took it. Her grading is inconsistent she takes off points for using acronyms or work not being neat enough. Lectures were barely posted on time.
Workload is light, but she has had issues with adapting to an online course. Links were not opened until after they were scheduled on her calendar. It is hard to make sense of grading criteria on exam feedback. I often felt bewildered by expectations and did not feel office hours would have helped. Situation was rather distressing.
2025 was the first time they did 2260E over summer. She definitely struggled adapting to Zoom office hours (mandatory once a week btw), posting videos and quizzes. HW is required and quizzes are through EdFinity (paid service, about $35). First test very easy. Second exam and final cover way more content (integration methods and series) so STUDY!!!
Her online lectures have lots of worked out examples which are very useful and Enka is always very patient during office hours.
I took her for online CALC 2 over the summer and lets just say it was a mess. Some days she just wasn't releasing the material then would send emails about staying on top of work. She is very disorganized. She always was a very harsh test grader. If you are messy with work she will take lots of points off. Take someone else
This teacher is very nice and she is always willing to help. She is demanding but at the same time when you finish this class you feel that you have learned so much. I wish more teachers were like that!
She's super caring and always available if you need help. Tough class but she actually wants you to learn and will support you the whole way. Go to office hours and you'll be fine. Definitely recommend if you're willing to put in the work!
She's actually quite nice and respectful. I like that she is always willing to help during office hours with homework or when I have questions.
Genuinely my favorite professor of my freshman year. You can tell she genuinely cares for her students success and she tries hard to help. She's very forgiving on grading and if you go to her office hours you'll be fine. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you want to do well, you need to go to class. Overall, great teacher and would highly recommend
She is a sweet woman who clearly loves math and wants her students to understand, but she is sometimes very disorganized, can be passive aggressive and goes way too fast, and you get 5 skips for the semester and a LOT of homework. The exams are rlly hard but she gave extra credit twice. Overall, not a great pick for such a hard course.
Great professor. She may seem tough at first — classic Russian no-nonsense vibe — but she truly cares. Very supportive, always available for help and keeps regular office hours. If you put in effort, she meets you there. Highly recommend.
Very kind woman who really cares about her students and makes herself very accessible outside of class times to help students. She is a bit disorganized, so if you see an algebra error when she is writing things on the board you will need to let her know or else she will end up giving everyone the wrong answer.
Calc 2 was the bane of my existence but she's a good teacher. Lots of homework and very time consuming and you need to go to class to get anything which I wasn't able to do. She is very welcome to questions and offers lots of extra help outside of class, and even extra help courses that you can add on. Try hard and you'll do better than me.
