He is a very cool teacher, and I would recommmend any one who is planning on taking english to take this class. If you are ever confused about an assignment, he is more than happy to explain and help you out.

You cannot go wrong with Mr. Anderson. He thorougly covers the material, does not unfairly take off points from your essays, and provides valuable feedback. While he not a tough grader, at the same time, don't expect passing his class just by showing up. Anderson respects his students and cares about the subject. GCC needs more people like him.

You have to do the reading to pass because everything meaning the final, tests and essays are on that but i only read the summaries instead and didn't do anything at home and i got a B. So if u try a little, you will get an easy A. He also helps out if u need anything.

Arguably the BEST teacher in GCC. His class was pretty easy, and you learn a lot at the same time. He's very patient and understanding. Seriously take him! Handsome too.

I wasn't all that interested in the course, but he made it easy to get through. If you do all the ready and apply yourself to the essays there is no reason you shouldn't get an A or B.

Good teacher. He tries very hard to relate to his students and even gives you his house number if you have any questions. His class was interesting and a joy to be in. You write a lot of essays but he is very open minded so as long as you try to make some sense in your essays he will give you a B or higher.

Anderson was a good teacher, his lectures would get boring because of his mono-tone and style; but his grading is reasonable and just. I would recommend him for people who aren't so crazy about English!

Hey gues this teacher is really helpful. Anything you dont understan you can call his cell anytime and he will help you. You have to do the assignment he tells you and it will be smooh sailing. I got an A. You watch Romeo and Juliet in class and things like that. Hes a cool teacher. I highly recommend him.

Easy slow paced class that tends to drag on. He is extremely helpful and clear with what he wants...almost too helpful and too clear. His essays and class teachings felt mechanical and restricted...even when he did ask our opinion on a subject. That said, if you want an easy class, this one is a no brainer...literally.

Took english 101 summer 2009 and was the funnest, most interesting english class ever. hes very helpful in every way possible. i hate english class and he made it an amzing experience. had to write 7 essays total in 4 weeks but was easier than i thought!!! recommend 100% if your indifferent about english class!

Prof. Anderson is a complete gem; if you want to learn some very essential reading and writing tools in a fun and interesting environment, he's your man. This is one of the best teachers I have had at GCC. He was very clear in what he wanted from the students and the class was always fun. He has made me want to read books that I would never pick up for the summer.

Professor was extremely nice! Easy, but lots of work involved. Easy simple quizzes every week! There's a midterm, a final, 2 take home essays, and 2 in class essays. My class met only once a week, but it was not bad!

AMAZING teacher! I'm majoring in Film now, still using what he taught in this class, even though it's Eng102. He is very clear and lets you know exactly how and what to do. You do have to study, but it's worth it. He is a Wonderful professor!

Prof. Anderson is a great teacher. I am currently taking this class and it is not boring at all. I always look forward to his class. There are quizzes for the readings, but very easy. His essays are not difficult for any college student to complete. He is clear on what he wants and makes the class fun. Class requires work. It is college after all.

Enoch is Great! He lets you rewrite your papers to get a higher grade. If you do the readings your pretty much set for the class. He's laid back and very understanding. great dude!

very boring and repetitive class, yet very easy. Your typical day starts with a quiz from the reading then discussion of the quiz, then a movie. NOT engaging! This is an easy class and good for a gpa booster. Prof. Anderson is very helpful and flexible with working with you but his lectures are about as engaging as a bowl of oat meal.

Actually took him at Santa Monica College but since he's posted here i'll write my review here. Easy teacher. Easy Grader. Easy tests he's very clear about what will be on the test. Easy Quizzes as long as you do the reading. Easy essays make sure to write about the main points he talks about in class. A knowledgeable & quite entertaining teacher.

One of the best professors I have taken. Very clear on what he wants. Class lectures are interesting and go by in a flash. Easy grader. Allows you to catch up if your late. Makes the class fun. Assignments are easy. Weekly quizzes are easy if you read the textbook. Definitely taking this professor again.

One of my favorite professors of all time. I enjoyed his lectures and his class wasn't too challenging yet I learned more with him than I have in any other English course. Lots of reading but SparkNotes can give you a good review. Quiz after every reading and four essays in total with a research paper. Very fair grader. I can't thank him enough.

He's a very sweet teacher, but it doesn't mean you can take advantage of that. I took him for winter 2014 and boy, there were a bunch of essays to write. However, they were easy essays and very noob-friendly. I thought I sucked at essay writing, but the amount of essays he assigned were fantastic practice and made me a more confident writer.

The professor is clear, respectful, professional, fair, reasonable, honest, smart and helpful. He responded to questions and emails clearly. I Read the book, followed the guidelines and got an A. His class is professional and not boring. He is there for the students. He explained and gave time fairly to who ever asked. I learned the material.

Amazing and hilarious professor. He is a Doctor of Philosophy,English Language and Literature. Has worked at GCC for 18 years. Highly skilled and prepared for his class, knows his subject and explains very clearly. Get prepared for reading, but you will enjoy the material. I strongly recommend to take him , especially if you are an English major.

Professor Anderson is a really great encouraging teacher. His grading is extremely straight forward and will tell you how to get an A and as long as you follow what he says you'll get an A. He assigns frequent reading assignments and daily quizzes but they're really easy and foreshadow the easy midterms and finals. Take this class.

Compared to other English classes, he's the easiest professor you will find. Expect 3 or 4 easy essays. Used sparknotes for everything & passed w/ a B. There were quizzes every other week on the stories but were easy. He let you to make up missed or failed quizzes. Lecture is a little boring. He is super kind, understanding and a very easy grader.

Professor Anderson's English 102 course was probably the easiest course I've ever taken. I personally think it is virtually impossible to fail unless you actively try to fail. During my semester, there were almost weekly small quizzes on short stories he would assign. The mid-term and final were quite easy as well. He really is a great professor!

I took him for English 101 and English 102. He is a very intelligent professor. He is passionate about his subject and it reflects on his way of teaching. I loved Mr. Andersons class. He was very clear in giving instructions and very fair in grading. I had an amazing time in both his classes. I would take his class again!

I actually took him for English 2 at SMC, but i'll post here. He's really good at explaining the texts, going over the books, and the things you need to succeed in the class. That being said, I thought there was a lot of work in the class, but he's an easy grader. Still, he's an amazing teacher and I really recommend him for English 2.

I took English 101 with Anderson.. He's an amazing teacher, not a really hard grader but you are required to do your work in order to pass the class. there was 10-15 quizzes from the book "The Great-Gatsby." He assigns a chapter or two each time and next time he will quiz you on it, SUPER EASY! you also get to watch movies in class :)! take him!

Professor Anderson is the best professor I've taken at GCC so far. He gives out lots and lots of exercises and quizzes but they're really easy. Usually multiple choice as well. If you want an easy A take him! He's really cool.

I took English 2 at SMC. The only reason why I hated this class was because it was an early morning class. I'm not a morning person and so i had to head out to college no later than 6:30 am to make it on time. I missed 2 quizzes because he gives them right at the beginning of class and so if you were late 5 mins was already too late to do the quiz.

I took English 102 & I loved it so I took him for Humanities & it was just as great. As long as you read the material and pay attention to his lecture, the quizzes and essays will be easy. I highly recommend him. Wish I could take him a third time

Professor Anderson is a smart and caring person. He is very patient and will help you whenever you need. He gives extra credit (but not that much.) BUT I regret wasting money on buying the books. Personally, I think you can find the short stories online, and you can buy the play and the novel for a much cheaper price from somewhere else.

save your money dont buy the books from the college bookstore!! and take him hes amazing:)

Easy English 102 class. Prof Anderson is the best. His quizzes are the easiest things ever if you read. (Multiple choice) Not a lot of essays (1 take home, 3 in class, and 1 research paper) super easy grader as well. Its impossible to fail! Take him!!!!

Very easy class if you do your work. He assigns a good amount of work, but he is the easiest grader. Short reading every week with a quiz about the reading/lecture, about 4 essays, a presentation, a research paper, midterm, and final. Midterm and final are mc tests. Just do your work and listen to him. Easy A.

I didnt really like English before I took him, and he truly helped me to write better essays and how to use writing tools. His lectures are very interesting, even though I had a 3 hour class with him I would not get bored listening to his lectures. In order to get an A you have to do good on the essays and the research paper.

Amazing professor i hadn't taken english in 10 years and this was not difficult at all. Enjoyable reading which you can find the short stories online no need to buy book. Also quizzes are super easy loved it!

Highly recommend you take this class with this professor over a shorter semester like summer or winter like I did. There is a heavy workload over the shorter semester, but still fairly easy if you put in the effort. He truly is the best Professor for this class! He is very helpful with any questions. He is such a caring and sweet professor. His lectures are very good and he is such a funny person. For humanities, he does give quizzes based on the readings. Also, he gives a couple of essays and timelines but they are all very easy.

Took 102 with a professor who rambled nonsensically and only assigned 2 essays all semester. Easy, but left me clueless and had to drop. Prof. Anderson is great. He actually takes the time to go over everything, even the basics. Assigned more work that I was comfortable with but he's a fair grader, offers feedback and opportunities to improve.

Enoch is an older professor but he's still very enthusiastic and makes 102 fun. I also loved how he is adapted to technology. He is a very lenient grader on the essays, especially the in class ones. The take home essays weren't too bad. You are also graded by various other things. I took him in a short semester but I'm glad I did. Great guy.

Professor Enoch is an amazing and caring human being. Hes accessible outside of class, and always willing to help and get you down the right path for an A. His lectures are long sometimes but man I would be wrong if I said theyre boring, that melodious voice of his keeps me woke and focused. Take him if you have the chance!

I recommend this professor. Even though I got bad grades on the quizzes and essays, i was pretty sure i was failing the class. But I put effort into the final research paper and I ended up with a C. Quizzes are based on the book so make sure to read. All you have to do is the work and youll pass. Easy A

I took this class over the winter semester with another online class and it was pretty manageable. He wasn't a tough grader but there was a lot of work to do but you can get it done if you manage your time. His class is really straightforward and not hard at all so take him.

Professor Anderson is a great professor. One of the easier English classes. If your good at writing this class will be a breeze for you. If you struggle with writing he gives good feedback. Take if over a short semester if you can. Gave short quizzes about the reading material during class. Easy and straight to the point and he is nice.

He is very organized and gives extra credit to help boost the grades. Attendance is mandatory cuz his tests are based on his lectures.

Now that I am a top rated professor at GCC in another division, and recently checked my feedback, I remembered Enoch Anderson and the quality, knowledgeable and professional class that I took with him. He was helpful and the best English teacher I had.

Very chill Professor, he is a very easy grader, pretty much all you need to do if you wanna pass is just show up, participate, and do whatever written work he asks for. You don't have to put too much effort as the essays he assigns are pretty easy and he's not strict about what he wants in them. If you want an easy class go for Professor Anderson

REALLY easy tests as long as you do the reading. My class was asynchronous and the powerpoints were so simple. It's actually super interesting if you chose to take interest in the subject matter, but you'll still pass even if you decide not to. He was very kind during the one zoom we had and he was very accessible if you had questions.

Very kindhearted and understandable. Class itself is a difficult course but if you focus in on the lectures you can pass. I wouldnt take again only on the basis of its not the most interesting course but in regards to the Professor hes very good.

You should definitely take this professor. Ive had him for humanities and English 102 and had good grades in both classes. There is a lot of reading and I recommend taking notes on his lecture slides because thats what's usually on his test-quizzes, but over all the best and hes super understanding. I agree with good reviews and will say that he is a great teacher. There are four essays, quizzes, and other book-related assignments. I believe he only teaches during Summer and Winter semesters. The great thing is that he allows rewriting the essays and adds extra up to 5 points to the final essay grade.

This semester was my first time taking Professor Anderson and I regret taking any other English teacher at GCC. He is so caring and very supportive and kind. His learning environment feels free of judgement and overall is really engaging. I was scared coming into English at gcc again because my last class but he made it exciting. 100% take him.

Took him online winter 24. You just have to do the readings and make sure you follow all instructions. the professor was sweet and understanding and I would take him again. Offers makeup quizzes if you get a low grade or miss one. There's some writing assignments (4 essays, genres assignment, presentations, MLA assignment but pretty simple to do.

He's laid back, and easy-going, and his lectures are clear and straightforward. The questions in the exams are exactly what he writes on the board, so you BETTER take notes in every session. He's also a tricky grader. Listen to his lectures carefully and write what he expects to see in the papers -- You'll get a good grade if you do those.

Such an amazing professor! Quiz every week and the readings assigned, three papers, a presentation, and a midterm and final. All readings assigned were super interesting and overall just such a fun course. Gave multiple EC opportunities throughout the semester and is super caring. DOES however grade papers like an english class, beware of that.

Professor Anderson is an engaging, caring instructor. His classes are well-structured, with clear expectations. The workload is manageable, and assignments are thought-provoking. I found Unstuckstudy very helpful for preparing for this course.

Professor Anderson was ok, his humanities 105 class is a little more than average difficulty, not easy but not overly hard. there is allot of reading and quizzes involved but he graded fairly and gave ample time to get everything done. i would take his class again if i needed to.
