Professor Lopez tried his best to facilitate the learning process and gave a lot of extra credit opportunities. He's a really cool professor that cares for your success. However, be prepared to really put in the work to learn the material as I feel like accounting is a subject that has a naturally steep beginning learning curve.

Professor Lopez is great at what he does. His lectures were clearer than the confusing text and he gave plenty of in class practice examples that further exemplified the concepts. You do have to put effort and the midterm is a bit hard but as long as you actually study and put effort you should do good. You only get a bad grade if you dont practice

I took Accounting 1 with Professor Lopez. He made me love accounting and this class through his enthusiasm during lectures and accessibility outside of class. I took Professor Lopez for ACCTG 1 on Fall 18 at SMC, and all I can say is that he is a great professor. I have never taken Accounting before but Professor Lopez made it enjoyable. Attend lectures, do the homework, re-read the lecture notes and make sure you fully understand the basics of Accounting from the start. If you don't, ask for help!

This class was of the best classes Ive ever taken before. Structures the class extremely well and really wants students to succeed. Provides extra office hours/study sessions, uploads lecture notes and is available on the weekends. I received above 100% in the class and I barely touched the textbook as his lectures go over his own notes perfectly.

The course was difficult overall, but he made it easier and understandable through his lectures & real-life examples. Expect to study and use a lot of time outside of class in order to fully understand the chapters. Mid-term and finals were difficult, but studying intensely will make them more approachable. Cares about the student's success.

Favorite online SMC class I've taken so far. Took this class in a short, 6 week session so it was work heavy but not overwhelming. Although some of the work can be tricky, he offers lots of extra help and bonus assignments so you can power through it confidently. Professor Lopez was very straightforward on what criteria was needed to pass the class. As long as you are reading the chapters every week, doing the practice problems on the book and the e-book study problems, you should be good with the class. You will definitely learn a lot from him. Online tests were 3 hours, the largest accounting tests I've taken online at SMC. They're more comprehensive than tests in other accounting classes. Straight from HW and Problem Set B's. Understand them and you'll get an A. This is a professional development course so understanding the material is more important than a letter grade, anyway.

I took Professor Lopez for acct.1 for fall'20. He recommends attending the first 4 wks of zoom, but I'd recommend attending all of them. The lecture and class goes by more smoothly with participation so I'd encourage that as well. If you can't, he is incredibly easy to reach outside of class. Great professor. Offers plenty of extra credit opportunities where you write up 3 lessons from the speaker of the week. Very clear and concise instructions with homework and discussions that aren't too heavy however the grading is strict so you really need to work for your grade. The bookkeeping project is a pain though so make sure to do it ASAP.

it's a pretty easy class if you're very independent. I never met with him, I did ask him some questions and received passive aggressiveness. There were no actual lectures, just his notes. I mainly relied on reading the chapter. There were 3 exams, follow the study guide, and the questions will be similar.

I took this class online and overall had a good time with it. Zoom lectures were optional to attend but he did give random Kahoot quizzes from time to time as extra credit. Gives his own lesson notes for each chapter that should be used together with reading the textbook, and walks through practice problems and exaples. Highly recommend this class!

I took his Business 47 course online. He has exceptional accounting and finance skills, always thorough and reliable, which made the course very manageable. It's an easy class to pass—no final exam—just complete all modules and homework. He even offers extra credit opportunities, so there's really no reason not to succeed. Highly recommend! :)

His class is pretty easy. You will get an A if you do the homework on time and show up for exams. Lectures were longer than needed, he goes on tangents. I really enjoyed professor, Lopez Enrique, class. I took his Accounting 1 & 2 as well as his Book Keeping course. I enjoyed all three course. I definitely recommend to please do the extra credit it's very helpful to prepare for the exams and quizzes. I found it super helpful, also make sure to utilize the hints in your homework on your notes!

Professor Lopez is one of my favorite professors at SMC. His classes are well organized, information is presented clearly, therefore there is no confusion. He's always super responsive and helpful. He includes extra credit assignments that really help to keep the grade high and learn the subject better. I'll be taking his classes in the future!

He's by far the best online professor I've had so far. The practice problems, condensed notes, and resources he provides are concise and pertinent to the tests. Strict about deadlines, but generous with extra credit. He also hosts great career workshops and accounting-related guest speakers. Overall, I got the vibe that he really cares.

Accounting wasn't my first choice, but after taking profess. Lopez class I had a change of heart. He inspired me to work hard & not be afraid to take risk, he cares a lot for the students to do well in class. He provided resources, i.e.,videos, extra credit & other material to grasp accounting in a unique way great teacher, I highly recommend him.

Professor Lopez was great: available for help, consistent, organized, provided extra material to learn, and responded to emails quickly. The class is over and I honestly miss doing my accounting homework. I'll be taking his class for accounting 2 for sure! If you're interested in learning accounting, professor Lopez is a great professor!

Prof Lopez, is one of the most accessible profs at SMC. He is kind and always acknowledges you for your hard work (he literally sent me a thank you email for doing my homework on time and an email to congratulate me on my final grade). The course consists of one big project, weekly homework assignments and quizzes, and three exams.

Professor Lopez is kind, encouraging and always looking for opportunities to give extra credit. Their passion for teaching really shows and I felt supported throughout the course and gained a lot of confidence in the subject because of him.

Prof Lopez really goes above and beyond for his students - he's constantly rooting for our success and it shows - good sense of humor, available to talk and responds promptly, and never leaves much to guesswork. He also sets up a lot of meet-and-greets with professionals in the industry - almost made me want to switch my major to accounting!

Professor Lopez is a wonderful and caring professor who wants students to succeed. He's available to meet and provides many resources each week to help you understand the material and prepare for quizzes & exams. Outside of class he organizes webinars with guest speakers including from Big Four and offers extra credit opportunities.Highly recommend
