WORST CLASS! He doesn't even know how to teach, he is arrogant and all he does is lecture about his. NOTHING EDUCATIONAL. He then hands out like 20 million packets to read. It wasn't even the work that was hard but having to sit through his class was so difficult. I walked out various times. After taking this class i died a little inside

I taken all of Orozco's classes and passed them all with A's. He is a very intelligent professor he lectures allot. His test are all about his lectures. If you attend to class every day and ask questions you will pass,he loves when students ask questions and participate he takes notes of who is participating.

Awesome Professor. He has his own ways of thinking but that doesn't mean that students should disrespect him. Just go to class, listen, take notes, and ask questions or participate (he loves that), If you ask stupid questions, he'll tell you how it is.. He's great, he has a lot of common sense, and he knows a lot... I recommend him!

Orozco doesn't really talk about the book unless you bring it up during class. He doesn't take roll and doesn't assign homework or tests. There is only a midterm and final exam. If you ask questions and give your opinion during class he'll give you a really good great. Just talk to him during class and you'll be fine.

I loved his class! So much information but make sure to take notes, he usually puts a lot of the stuff he talks about in class on tests. He will make you see things in a different perspective, very intelligent guy and knows a lot about a wide range of other subjects. I highly recommend him! Easy A as long as you participate and take notes.

He is a good teacher but honestly, his lectures are jokes!!! He teaches what he wants and his writing is so messy. I was absent and emailed him with no reply. Also, on one of our tests he screwed up the numbers/order of the questions and threw us all off. I was trying to correct them but I had no time and probably failed... Take another class...

He wrote the required book & I'm convinced he had us buy it so he gets paid.. we didnt use/mention it once. Lectures are ridiculous he talks about random things & writes random words that he says on the board really messy. He curves the tests so much a D could become a B, but who knows whats on the test when it's unclear what we are even "learning"

What Mr. Orozco mentioned in class have saved my life, not only academically, but for after graduating college. There were so many times of what he brought up have changed my perspective towards the U.S. society and even my personal relationship. He is a bold but intelligent person. You have to be bright and aged enough to understand the lessons.

He's a little odd, first impression is he's a tough grader. I missed his midterm&he made me feel like the final would make me fail the class. But as long as he remembers your face it'll benefit you at the final for extra points because he doesn't always take attendance. No book needed tbh! 2 take home essay exams& long lectures easy!

He was an "okay" professor. He can rant forever during lectures if you let him. He goes off topic; his lectures are unscripted and unorganized. He usually shows up to class with a scrabble of papers and pull out random things. His writing on the whiteboard is awful and don't bother purchasing his book. He curves every single test so that's a plus.

Dr. Orozco is a great professor! He does not follow a rigorous day to day syllabus like most professors. Also, if you pay attention you will see that Dr. Orozco does not go off topic with his stories, but they are rather significant to his lectures. He's very caring and participation matters. PCC is lucky to have such a wise Chicano professor.

Everybody agrees it's an awful experience but the tradeoff is nearly zero homework. 10 kids were in the class by the end of the semester out of 30 that started. Unless you're SUPER interested in the Chicano struggle in LA. Take any other anthropology class.

If you sit in the front row and ask one question a day you should be ok. If you don't ask questions he gives you a hard time in class and in your writing. 2 test and 2 writing exams.
