Man! he is the most helpful teacher i think in the history of HCC! believe me i have taken like 70 cr hrs there. his accent might be a little bit o problem but he will go out of his way to explain you something u dunt understand. tests are online, final is not but his review is like his final. He is easy goin, Awesome, and HELPFUL! take him!

His English is not the best, but the course is easy to pass. All the tests were open book and he drops your lowest test score.

Very easy.....willing to help you with any sort of issues......might appear boring......but if you interact with him and try to make it fun, he is infact a fun guy.....He explains very clearly and the accent problem went away in the first week.....Will explain over and over and if you do his practice exams, you'll prolly do awesome on actual exams.

Is the best teacher I had, Helps a lot, he will stay after class if you ask him. I took him in summer and he make the class very easy, you learn a lot.

I took his online course and it was not exactly easy, but as long as you read the chapters you should have no problem passing. He was prompt to reply to emails with questions. He seem very organized. If you can apply yourself, it is an easy class to take online.

Took Intrnl Control & Audit as Online. Course itself very organized. But you have to stay on top of work & turn in EVERY week. Not a lot of class interaction-mostly self study. Exams open book but timed. I made an A - but I had to work for it. Prof Sinmaz responded to every question I sent him. Textbook not great-seemed somewhat unorganized.

He is a very good teacher..He got very good teaching skills..I recommend him..

Taking him for a mini session now and its really easy! He is a good professor i learned more from him than i did from a professor at UTSA. Trust me he is a good professor in defining things and explaining. Open notes and book test. Im hoping my final friday is take home!

I thought he was a great professor, I don't know why his reviews are so bad. I found I learned more from the homework than his lectures, but he was very knowledgable. This class is NOT hard AT ALL, anyone that says otherwise is out of their mind.

He has excellent knowledge of the subject. He can be a bit hard in class if you make a mistake (One time I answered incorrectly and he laughed at me!) Overall, he is fair and helpful and uses technology in the classroom. You will learn.

As long as you attend his class you will not have any problem of passing it

Lectures were very boring but I mean what do you expect from accounting? This professor is VERY VERY knowledgeable and helpful. But I basically learned everything through the online homework. As long as you keep up with your work you should do well. You can use your book and notes on every test and quiz so it's kind of hard to do bad in this class.

His reviews are overly harsh. Once you get used to his accent, he is very knowledgeable. He goes over everything multiple times, almost too slow but good for people that don't learn fast. If you ask questions on the homework, he goes over them in class to help you learn. All tests are online and open book.

All of the tests and HW online, he goes over difficult questions in class. Very nice, but has a thick accent. Very laid back Professor. I liked his class so much that I took him for ACCT 2302. I didn't take on campus since all assngments & quizzes are taken online anyways.

This online accounting course requires a lot of discipline and dedication. When testing please read the questions and answers carefully. Professor responds to emails timely.

He has a very monotonous tone which can be distracting at first, but he is very knowledgeable. He is also a really nice guy. You do all homework and tests online so class is really optional after the first few weeks but he will answer questions from the homework in class. It is worth going just to get the extra practice. Very easy class!

I took him for both accounting classes because he was so easy and knowledgeable the first time around. All homework and tests are online. Any questions can be submitted online and he will address them during one of the next class periods. He really knows his stuff and has a lot of experience behind him.

He is a good teacher. My only complaint is his accent and the lack of study guides for the exams. All homeworks have hints that walk you through each problem and everything is done online. With that, on the exams EVERY question can be found word for word online. I would recommend him. The class was easy and I received a B

This is my favorite class, and Ercan Sinmaz is my favorite professor I have had at HCC.

Took online never once had to speak with him. I got a 98. Its a shame it cost me so much because everything was multiple choice graded on the computer all he did was administer the final grade by averaging everything. I guess you would need to be disciplined and keep up with assignments since it is online.

This professor is great! I took both accounting and i made A's in both. He gives a curve on your overall grade which is very nice of him. I hardly know another teacher that does that. Homework are very easy online and tests are pretty easy and clear. 3 online tests only. NO FINAL!!!! He's great i really recommend him.

I took him in spring 2015. it was a easy class . Don't have to show up every day. Google was my best friends. Do all of your works and i will be fine.

Super helpful, always answered e-mails quickly and seemed happy to help out and clarify any issues. You definitely have to do the reading + the assignments that come with the website from the textbook, but it's not too bad because the assignments made the content of the text much clearer. As long as you do the reading + homework, you'll pass!

Great class. Learned a lot. There will be a lot of material to get familiar with and memorize but if you show up and pay attention to class lectures and examples you should be fine. Homework and quizzes prepare you for the tests. Only 3 test (including the final). This was my first semester back in school after 8 years. I came out on top.

When i say this class is an easy A is an understatement!!! There is no way you should fail this class. I took the 4 week course and passed with an A.

Good professor. Like many other reviewers said: If you actually read the textbook and do the assignments, you'll have a smooth ride. Otherwise, you'll constantly be second guessing yourself because there's gaps in your knowledge. READ THE TEXTBOOK! It's actually useful. I promise.

This is the second class I've taken with Professor Sinmaz, and I only wish he taught the intermediate level accounting courses as well! Lots of reading, but easy to understand and all of the Connect assignments and tools help so much in clarifying the concepts being taught.

This was an easy class. Everything in his class is available online through connect. Lectures are easy and got an A in his class. Just stay update to date on all online Hw.

This class really could be online only, everything is available from the first day which I LOVE! I was able to work ahead and then just do homework when I went to this class. Very easy and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I was nervous about accounting because the topic itself seemed hellish, but it really isn't. He doesn't lecture so much as he works problems with you. All of our homework, quizzes, and tests (including final) are online. He works out problems that are the same style as the homework. Tests are tough, but open book. Do the online work and you'll pass

Class was mad easy. Seriously, take him online you won't regret it. 12 chapters, interactive videos, each hw question came with a hint video. Quiz & Exam are easy and kinda time consuming & a little bit tricky at time. Quiz - no time limit. Exam -time limit. No papers/projects. Smooth sailing. Use of a calculator is a must! ! !

easy class for online students no hassle. however if you arent the greatest at math i wouldnt recommend online. everything you need is there video examples for every question. time consuming sometimes but if you actually put effort youll learn a thing or two.

This class is very similar to an online class. All the homework, Quizzes, and Exams are online. They are not timed (except for the exams). So you have to teach yourself. He does explain some concepts in the class and he offers tutoring if you need help. My total is 100% so far and I am a full time student and part time employee. TAKE HIM!

Took this class online. Assignments are posted one chapter per week. Grading expectations super clear. I have no previous accounting experience, with the resources provided CRAZY simple! You will def need to pay attention. I took tons of notes. Open book assignments & tests. NO FINAL! Take this professor!!

ACCT 2301 is not one of the most fascinating subjects, but Professor Sinmaz made this course very enjoyable. All materials are available from Day 1 and you can work ahead. Don't expect too much interaction from Professor Sinmaz, unless you reach out for assistance. But class is very straightforward, and no reason an A can't be achieved.

If you take Professor Sinmaz for ACCT 2302, it is just a continuation from ACCT 2301. You can expect the same teaching style, only the subject gets a bit harder. Course is well structured so that you can take it online without any assistance. All materials are available from Day 1, so you are able to finish course very early if you really want to.

Professor Sinmaz made this course easy to get through. All of the assignments are on connect. I never liked connect but now I like it since he made it easy to navigate through. There are only two exams which are midterm and final. He gives you three attempts on those. Easy class and will be taking him again for 2302.

Professor Sinmaz' class is quite boring and will make you yawn 9 times out of 10, but all the homework was online. There were about 5-7 assignments of homework a week but it was very simple. Feels like busy work half the time, but only 1 midterm, 1 final exam and hw assignments each week. easy class but quite boring.

Super easy class. Everything was done online and I had no issues. My grade was only a B+ from my doing.. missed assignments.

Professor Sinmaz should be your first choice in taking an Accounting class! His work is time consuming if you decide to wait last minute to do it but if you start beforehand, you'll find it really easy to do. Time management in this class is your best friend, everything else is super easy to figure out on your own! TAKE THIS CLASS

Each chapter in Connect had about 7 assignments, with about 1-2 chapters due each week. the assignments are very helpful in learning the material, and the textbook helped as well.

Easy A for online class. He is the best. Complete all assignments and tests. Nothing complicated. Everything on McGraw Hill. Takes past due assignments, I can't be more grateful this is my professor. He is the ideal professor for online classes!!!!!

Good Professor, His lectures are kinda boring but full of good info for test and HW as he shows the steps. Home work is a lot but you only need 700 points and are done for the semester. 2 Test that are graded out of a total of 150 points you can take up to 3 times. Easy to class just gotta put the study time and effort in HW and exams.

I took hybrid course. And all exams and homework were online. So it was a very easy class. Easy A.

Professor Sinmaz's ACCT2301 class is an easy A if you stay on top of the assignments. The lectures can be dry, but Unstuck ai and the textbook are great study aids. Lots of extra credit opportunities too!

Easy class just do the work. All you have to do to get a 70 is finish 7 chapters with 100+ points. The rest is a midterm and final (Multiple choice on Connect). If you fail its at your will. This in person class is honestly boring and barely got anything from it. He gives good examples to make it understandable. Easy passing grade if you are good.
