best teacher ever. he was hilarious and has an awesome passion for what he teaches

By Far one of the most passionate professors I've ever had in my college career. He made Church History fun and exciting to learn about. The man is by far one of the funniest and yet sincere professors LU has ever had. Rock on Caner!

Luv this man a whole lot, for real, but his class is not an easy A, he grades on the 7 point curve, but much more fun class than other professors

Caner is the most enthusiastic prof ever, and he wants everyone to get an A. Not the easiest (7-point scale), but a wonderful class.

Hilarious guy, but spends a little too much time just talking. I don't learn all that much, but it's a fun class (when he shows up). Oh, but whoever said he isn't hot is way off. He's a stud. Good thing both he and his students are Christians with morals, otherwise his wife would need to worry. ;)

If he'd show up on time, it would be better... we're always left wondering if he's coming. But he's worth the wait. ;-)

This man is a God-send. We need more professors like him. The world needs more people like him. We all can learn from him. By the way, if you think he is ignorant in the way he teaches, then my friend you are the one who is ignorant and you are the one who wil get walked all over as a Christian

If you can judge a prof's teaching ability by his ability to bash John Piper, then Caner's dynamite.

Caner rocks...thats all I have to say! I love the "in your face" attitude that someone else criticized, and I've learned soo much from taking him. Ok, yeah, and hes hot, too!

he is an awsome teacher. creative, controversial, outspoken, funny, loved the mullet picture he showed in class of himself, showed a willingness to embarrass himself. love the fact that he is willing to talk to students about almost anything, when he has the time. he is very down-to-earth.

You either get him or you don't. He is hysterically honest. I love that. I've come across others who can't stand him- too bad for them. He's defintely my favorite teacher. The course work is easy. Going to class is time well spent. His boldness gives me confidence to be a bolder Christian.

He is awesome and I love everything about him. If you hate theology, then take his class. The entires class average was probably a "B". He is definitely one of our better profs at LU. CANER>>>YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!

caner is freaking awesome. he is funny and his tests are ridiculously easy. its hard to get into his classes though, the seats get grabbed up in nothing flat. if you can get in, though, take caner. :D

He is a great teacher. Interesting and easy. What more can you ask for? He cancels class often because he has to go out of town...it's kinda nice.

This man reminded me that the Bible is supposed to be exciting. It is the Good News! We should not only be interested in exploring what we really believe in, but we should be excited for the opportunity to share that understanding with others!

As you see I have taken 3 of his classes. He makse school enjoyable and interesting. He is also truthful when he says you will not offend him most professors are not.

Funny when he comes to class and complains that he doesn't get enough hot votes from this site.

Caner's the man. Any refutation of this fact will be dealt with in the most brutal barbaric fashion possible. . . . and if you're too dumb to understand his classes or what i just said....read a book.

Wow! Amazing prof! Take him if you can! You'll get an A, not because it's an easy class, but because you actually pay attention to the professor speaking!

Absolutely loved the class. If I had the option, I'd take Dr. Caner for every class. He's an incredible speaker & has a way of keeping your attention even if the material is boring. He is able to mix the secular culture within the Liberty "bubble". He's very blunt & honest, & will tell you how it is whether you like it or not. Definitely take at least one class w/ him before you graduate.

I haven't had him for any classes yet but he is an amazing speaker! He knows his stuff! He is pretty blunt, but he speaks the truth! He is so funny and I love him to death! Rock on Caner!

Not a fan of history but he made it come alive. Very good at relating it to modern day things and simplifying it. I learned a lot and enjoyed it a great deal. A thorougly interesting class, and not challeging at all. Well, the 15 p. paper I wasn't a fan of, but its worth it. Great class.

amazing man...he DEFINITELY teaches and definitely helps to relate the given material to the average student. worth taking as much as possible...no ifs or buts!

CANER IS AMAZING! For this required classes, he is really easy on students (I don't know about upper level classes), but he is so informative and an awesome man of God. I'm not Baptist either, but he makes really good points that are very well backed up with research and evidence and should be taken into consideration. he's just really cool too.

Caner is, without a doubt, one of the greatest things that Liberty hasgoing for it right now. This man can take the complicated and make it simple, and not only simple, but enjoyable. His pace is perfectly tempered. His words are never wasted. He is entertaining, engaging, and memorable. Every Liberty student should take him.

This class was good except he told us the final was going to be way easier then it ended up being!

Dr. Caner is amazing! Always funny... although half the time class is canceled. Easy quizzes help to boost your grade. Studying for this class is easy since he tells you what will be on the exams. Just do your reading and study for maybe an hour for exams and you'll be fine. Take him if you get the chance.

Quiz each class, mid term and final, and attendance was like 25% of your grade. Easy A, but the material you walk away with is invaluable. It's the same Caner that's up at the podium, what you see is what you get. Take him.

Took this last semester, but I'm in 201 right now with Caner also. Quizzes and tests are straight forward and you know what's on it. He applies real life situations and things you can relate to in his lectures. He wants the class to be easy and it is! Take him!!!

best teacher i ever had

Dr. Caner is amazing! He is completely and totally easy. His tests are all multiple choce and the answers are obvious. My midterm yesterday...one of the answer choices for a question was La La from Teletubbies. He's hilarious as well as intelligent...PERFECT PROF!!!

He's REALLY easy..but he's interesting too. I wouldn't say I learned too much, but at least it guarantees you a good grade! The great thing is that he really loves what he's teaching, and that makes it pretty interesting.

He is THE MAN!!!!! You'll get an "A" unless u are a complete idiot!!! You'll learn a lot, but he also gives a lot of info at once. Take notes! I personally love him. :-)

He's Ergun Caner...

He's like a muslim David Hasselhoff! Not only that, but he's also really good at getting his points across and helping you to learn the material.

This class is a joke academically, you won't be challenged at all, but you will learn some very interesting things, and be prepared to discuss the controversial topics of Christianity. He's guaranteed to cancel class at least 3 times during the semester and you get out early a fair amount of times. He's a blast to take, and I'm glad i did.

It is a real shame he isn't reformed, but great class.

Easy class. Just show up and take the quizzes. He gives you everything you need for the tests. Naturally, he is hysterical when telling stories. I enjoyed myself, considering it was a 3 hour class.

Extremely easy class. Last year, Caner was my favorite person at Liberty by far. However, I feel like he's gotten so "I don't care about what anybody thinks" that he's been proud and disrespectful when it comes to certain things. This is reflected in his teaching. Wonderful man who has great insight, but should probably try practicing humility.

Everyone needs to speak with him personally to understand that he is a great guy. He is very narrow minded, however. He focuses too much on calvinists, as though they are begging for his attention. I would hope he lifts Jesus higher than doctrine. I do remember one class I had that he gave a phenomenal lecture.

Dr. C is an excellent professor! Very "cool" guy as well.

The most gracious teacher on the face of the universe he knows that we all have our calling and one a theo class can not determine future.Dr Caner is WONDERFUL considerate teacher.He is out of the ordinary.unbelievable he will not be teaching next term

This class is great. Really makes you want to act on what you are learning.

Man this guy was amazing! He is not afraid to speak his mind, and he is open for you to debate him. But seriously know your material before you do debate him! One guy tried it, and he got creamed! Caner is someone you will either hate or love. He is sarcastic, and funny! I learned so much from him. He knows me by name, and he prays for my family!

Dr. Caner, is a man of God and doing the Lords work. If you take his class beprepared to have your toes stepped on. And to be challenged as to what you are doing with your life and what do you stand for?
