While the concepts in class can be technical and in depth, he goes out of his way to explain it until everyone gets it. He has a way to make the hardest concepts easy to grasp, and uses plenty of visual aid to help. You can really tell he cares about his students and wants them to do well. I got a 100% in the 1st exam and a 96% on the 2nd! Good guy

Really nice guy, really makes an effort to get his students to understand the material through illustrations and examples in his lectures. Tests are easy if you study the notes and study guides. I enjoyed having him as a professor.

Even though his name isn't pronounced like "amazing", it should be. He was by far in my top three of favorite teachers. His tests are fair, he gets the class involved, and makes the material very interesting. I was only 2 points away from an A+. If you want a good psychology class experience, take his class. I would take it again in an instant.

Professor Amazeen is really good at what he does! His lectures are comprehensive and organized, and he tries his best to keep you interested. There are a LOT of notes, but he's always there to help if need be!

Amazeem is a great professor! His lectures are mandatory to attend, and he's very clear on his notes. In order to get an A in the class, you must always show up and take good notes (exactly what he shows the class) and study off of that and you'll do great. The book was very helpful for this class too. I'd take him again if i could!!

Dr. Amazeen was really great. Even though you MUST go to lecture, the notes are easy and interesting. Study those and you're good to go. The quizzes as easy as long as you were THERE the day before. The tests are all multiple choice and not too long, so it is easy to do pretty well.

Dr. Amazeen is a good teacher. He is extremely into what he teaches, and definitely cares about the students. 6 pop quizzes during the semester, but they are not too hard as long as you go to class. Tests are kind of hard, but nothing impossible. TA Hana is awesome.

Great teacher who explains things very well for such a hard subject. Do need the book a bit, but tests are mostly from lectures & are part multi-choice, part short answer. He doesn't post anything online so GO TO LECTURE! Study mainly from your notes and you should be fine. Got an A+ in his class, but girl next to me got a C.

(Sensation/Perception) Amazeen is the nicest guy ever, kind of strange and talks with a smile on his face constantly.. pretty funny. the class is SOO difficult (tests are ridiculous), but with that said he pretty much does his best to ensure that you get a good grade. drops one of the test scores, etc. if you like science, definitely take it.

he is an amazing teacher this is by far my favorite class. it is very interesting and he explains everything so well it easy to understand. lots of material just study notes and exams arent too bad.

Amazeen makes his lectures incredibly easy to follow. Interesting sense of humor. You have 6 quizzes, 4 exams and a final. Drops lowest exam grade, so if you have a grade you're happy with before the final you don't have to take it. My fav. class of 1st semster! Used vocab from textbook but stopped reading if after 1st exam and still got A's.

He made the class easy with visual slides. Tests are straight forward. If you read the textbook and go to class you will do fine. He teaches very well.

Amazeen expects you to study, simple. Read after or before class, start studying for the test a week in advance. Like any advanced science course. I got a little lazy so I got a B+, but that's not his fault. Some tricky test questions, but if you actually study psych majors you can do it. As a double major, the hardest psych course. Not impossible.

I was never interested in the material, but Amazeen is amazing. He really gets into his teaching and genuinely cares about his students. His lectures give you about 75% of the information on the test, while the rest is out of the textbook, so read it!

Amazeen is an incredible professor! He presents information in a clear and concise manner and is readily available for help outside of class. I thoroughly enjoyed this class, definitely my favorite of the whole semester!

I really enjoyed this teacher. I suggest going to the lectures even though attendance is not required he teaches in a way that just makes you understand the material. overall what you put into the class is what you get out of it. Tests are purely on the lecture. If your taking psychology this is the teacher you want!

I found his lectures very informative and interesting. The material can be difficult, but his explanations in class are clear and helpful. He recently switched to all m/c exams, but they are still difficult. I highly recommend going to the review sessions as well. Overall a very helpful professor who makes class interesting.

Amazeen is the best Psychology teacher at ASU, period. He is extremely enthusiastic, considerate and fun to listen to. He makes you want to go to class because he is entertaining and genuinely wants you to learn. Take him!!

Amazeen is an amazing professor. My favorite one of my college career. I hated psychology before this class and Amazeen made it so fun and understandable. The test are not bad, just make sure you go to his lectures and you will ace the tests. Love this class.

Dr. Amazeen is one of the best Psych professors I've taken a course from at ASU. He is extremely helpful and wants his students to perform well. He is enthusiastic in class and tries his best to clarify all concepts of his lecture. The material is not easy, but if you read the textbook and come to class you will be able to get at least a B.

Amazeen teaches very well. Class goes at a slow pace so you will be fine. The only somewhat annoying thing about the class is that he gives pop quizes. Make sure you do well on them! I would have gotten an A if it wasnt for the pop quizes. There not bad just dont miss class. Easy tests, right from the slides. You dont have to read the book.

I have Amazeen for Honors Psych and he is a good teacher. The only problem I have with him is he is lenient at all on tests. One of the answers was "formal operational" and I put "formal operation" and he would not give me credit for that. He is a stickler on the short answers so make sure you know the EXACT word he wants.

Why wouldn't you take him?! His lectures are interesting, he explains everything very well, he's very lively, if you need assistance he'll assist. There's nothing bad to say about him. You need to read the textbook as some of the material won't be discussed in class but will be on the exams. There's a review session before each exam. Great class.

3 tests and one final exam. Will drop your lowest one. Very clear lectures with semi-advanced material. Tests are moderate - all multiple choice; they can be tricky though. Study as if they were Free Response tests and you will do fine. Some material is not covered in class and only found in book.

Everything a good professor should be, that's Dr. A. Doesn't like big papers, respects students' busy lives, and wants you to REALLY benefit and learn what you want from the class. The textbook was fantastic, too. If you're taking him, rejoice! You're gonna have a great semester :).

I can not give Dr. Amazeen enough credit. He was so caring and involved in our learning process. He structures his notes in a way that makes it easy to learn. Using the textbook is an optional outside of class study aid. The tests aren't insanely difficult so long as you pay attention in class. Take him take him take him! He's so funny too!

This professor is incredible. He made me excited to continue my education is psychology. I wish he taught all my psych major classes. He really cares about his students. Work load is normal, very doable. Tests are straight forward. Its very possible to get an A in this class. pls pls pls take it

I took Honors Intro to Psych with Dr. Amazeen and it was a great class! He gives a lot of helpful feedback to students and is just has a friendly disposition. I highly recommend!

Best professor ever. He is the only reason I am still attending ASU. He goes off syllabus, is extremely consistent, will know your name the first day, and a great guy. I have so many positive things I can say about this guy. Thank you so much Dr. Amazeen

Prof. Amazeen is a kind and respectful professor, he's kinda a quirky guy and you could tell he likes to teach. Pop quizzes throughout the course, so make sure you're going to lectures! Exams include essay questions. Lectures were occasionally boring, but overall it's interesting material.

Dr. Amazeen is so kind and a little quirky. He is amazing at lecturing and is very clear about what he expects from you. Tests are mostly based on the lectures and if you pay attention in class you should be fine. He is extremely passionate about what he teaches and makes the class feel personal.

Took Honors PSY 101. Kind of boring lectures. Used the book a few times. Recommend reading still as it makes lecture easy to understand. His writing assignments are meant to challenge you but the writing style he wants was different from my own. Multiple choice, short answers and sometimes diagrams on tests. Okay choice. Very knowledgeable. Study!

Prof. Amazeen is one of the best professors I've had. He is very passionate about what he teaches and really tries his best to help everyone understand the material. He allows the class to go over the exams and drops 1 out of 4. He is very smart and keeps the class interesting. I would definitely take his class again!

I took the honors section of PSY101 and am happy I had him. He is very knowledgable and tries to be thorough with the material. Grades are based on tests, writing assignments, revisions, and article discussions. Textbook reading isn't mandatory but definitely would recommend for tests. Study his powerpoints a lot and you should be good! :)

Dr. Amazeen is one of my favorite professors I have had. His lectures are clear and he makes the content easy to understand. His lectures do get boring at times, but he is sure to incorporate humor and his quirky personality in his lectures. I didn't use the book but the powerpoint notes are essential for studying! His grading is straight forward.

Eric Amazeen is the best professor I've had at ASU hands down. I took the honors version of his PSY 101 course and was blown away from how much I learned from a 101 course. His lectures are engaging and thorough, just from taking this course all of my other psychology courses were so much easier from the material he covered. AMAZING

One of my most favorite professors! lectures were never boring and notes were extremely easy to understand and follow! He's accessible at any time and is straight and concise with his feedback. It is very easy to ask questions for any clarity. He also offers extra credit. Rubrics are always given to us straight regarding reflections and revisions!

(Honors Section) Dr. Amazeen is as amazing as his name. He's very sweet + his lectures were very knowledgeable and updated. He is open to many perspectives. Exams open note + open book. Essay assignments were hard for me and he graded those the toughest. If you are good at writing then you'll likely get an A+. Extra credit to boost grades if needed

I took Honors PSY 101 with Amazeen. Amazeen was the most supportive and caring professor I've had so far. I had a really tough time with an essay and he helped me the whole time and gave me an extension without me even having to ask. He really understands that this class was hard and definitely makes it as fun as possible.

Really lenient with grading with all due dates at the end of the semester. It was hybrid and if you do all the homework it is a easy C at least if you fail all the test. If you get a 50% on all test it gives you one of the easiest As. Lots of homework though

This professor is dope. He mentioned in the beginning of the semester he wants us to actually like the material rather than worrying about grades, so easy. You have weekly quizzes due on Fridays but can retake until you get 100%. Class was mandatory but says missing a class or two won't affect you immensely.

Super nice guy who is clearly passionate about Psych. His quizzes were done at home and all answers are on quizlet. You have 1 test a week that is done on lockdown browser at home but its open note so they are usually easy. Attendence is recorded through IClicker but if you need to miss a class you just email him and he gives you credit for coming.

Amazeen was an amazing professor! His lectures were super easy to follow and he incorporates his TA into the assignments which made it really easy to ask her for help and have her look over our papers! The exams were pretty easy! Learning the writing style of the class was tough, but he was always willing to look over my papers and give me feedback

Dr. Amazeen was my favorite professor in my first semester. He responds very fast to emails and is there for every single one of his students. I did not want to take psychology going into college, but he has made me have a love for this course. The course is easy and is half in person half not. I would 100% recommend anyone to take him for PSY 101.

The professor makes learning interesting and explains things very well. He recommends completing a module a week but nothing's due till the end of the semester. 4 hours of experiments are required, but they can be completed all online if looked at early-mid semester. I learned so much from this course that I can apply later in life and even now.

This was a hybrid course, so we only met once a week. The lectures were very interesting, and he had a clear passion for the subject. You can ace this class easily if you keep up to date on the work, and do the reading and the concept checks. Overall a great class, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I showed up to a total of one (1) lecture which was the syllabus/first class. The teacher seemed super nice and funny from that class. The class itself is super easy. Nothing is technically due till the last day. I did everything last minute, half the answers are online, it was an easy A!

Honestly just a great teacher, nice guy and interesting lecturer. The class is really easy due to the work load. The lectures can be a bit long and sometimes they are boring but if you don't like them you can just play on your computer or something.

Professor Amazeen is someone every student should take for PSY. The structure of the class is great because exams do not necessarily make or break your grade. LearningCurve is the biggest chunk of your grade and it is easy to complete. He also lets you use notes on the exams. Lectures can get boring but it is somewhat interesting.

Okay so attendance is "mandatory" but its iclicker so its very easy to work around. He's a great guy for the few classes I decided to attend, plus tests and quizzes are open book and open note which is great. Highly rec him if u need an easy a with a funny teacher.

He tries to make this class as easy as possible. 70% of your grade is guaranteed full points just by completion. Open note tests, you don't have to read the text book. He makes it as easy as he can I would recommend

Dr. Amazeen was a fair professor with clear, easy expectations. 4 Exams, all 40 multiple choice. Show up to lectures and listen and you will get an A. Interesting stuff that also helped me do some self reflection. My roommate is in his honors course and says its AWFUL and WAY HARDER though. Only wish he would actually respond to an email for once!

The attendance is iclicker and location based, so tbh I only really attended one class since iclicker is easy to work around. He's super chill and only has about 4 exams which use lockdown browser but are open note and open book, and online notes are permitted to use during the exam so that kinda defeats the point ngl.

If you are doing PSY101, please take it with Professor Amazeen. The assignments and LearningCurves are incredibly easy, not much time at all. Also, he is incredibly accommodating, so reach out to him and he will be able to meet your needs. He is very helpful, and it is nearly impossible to get less than 100% on hw. Quiz is also open notes as well

Professor Amazeen is so understanding of individual circumstances and genuinely so kind. All of the information on exams and quizzes are from lecture and the textbook, no trick questions. His lectures are actually interesting too! I actually want to show up to class. All tests are open note, he wants you to learn not just regurgitate info.

He was a great teacher. 10/10 recommend. Super laid back and accommodating. I barley went to class but would have to walk by during class to check into clicker because attendance was a good portion of our grade. Tests were lockdown but he allowed our phones or another device to access notes.

Professor Amazeen was very laid back and kind. The class was basically just about finishing the LearningCurve homework (which is super easy), doing the iClicker (easy to work around), and being prepared for the lockdown exams (which you are allowed to use another device for notes). Easy class, and lectures are interesting if you pay attention.

Dr. Amazeen's PSY 101 class is mainly lecture-based. You must be present in class for your "participation" grade. This course is relativity easy; it primarily consists of a lot of busy work that is supposed to help you on the open note tests. My recommendation is to take notes on the main concepts and terms, and you should do fine on the exams.

Very interesting lectures, easy to get a good grade because exams are open note and the lectures are easy to follow along. Exams and homework also don't have hard deadlines because he's very understanding of people's busy schedules or that things come up. def recommend.

PSY101 with Dr. Amazeen was one of the easiest course I took this semester. His class is easy. I've heard from one rating not to take his honors course. I'm not sure about the honors class, but take the non-honors one 75% of your grade is essentially free points (HW, quizzes, attendance), which you can retake till you get a 100% on it The rest of the 25% is 4 exams (including the fina;) which are open-note and open-book

Easy honors credit. 4 exams (40 MC questions and 5 free response) + 8 papers (must attend TA workshops to get above 80). Slides published on Canvas. Easy points through discussion boards and completing the online readings. Lots of work but just stay on top of it and it's an easy A. Tests are open note but need to be prepared. Sweet and helpful man

Literally the best PSY prof i could've gotten. he's super nice and assignments/exams aren't due till the end of the semester. attendance is in iclicker but lectures are interesting and easy to get, if you don't get something he's super happy to explain it in office hrs or after class. if you can get him for PSY 101 absolutely do!

Super easy because most of hw was online and tests were open-book and also online. I thought the lectures were annoying because he wouldn't go into depth but it was still a good overview. Easy A, just do your work. SONA credits for this class were also very fun!

Dr. Amazeen is probably my most favorite professor till date. I loved his lectures and his grading policy was amazing. All assignments (homework, test review, ect) can be retaken till you get a 100% and are worth 75% of your grade. The rest of the 25% is a four easy open-note, open-book tests. As long as you do your work, you will pass the class.

This class makes me so happy to be a Psych major, super easy but interesting and Dr. Amazeen is very friendly. The only homework is Macmillan multiple-choice assignments and you can keep taking them until you get the grade you want.

During his lectures, you can tell that Professor Amazeen knows what he is talking about and cares very much about it. His lectures are very fun to attend but aren't necessarily mandatory. He holds fun experiments during lectures and if you take the honors contract for the class it is rather easy (only a discussion post once a week).

There are a few tests that are at home on the lockdown browser, but they are open notes! Helpful review days before the tests. The lowest test gets dropped, which includes the final.
