he made the class very easy. a lot of notes but easy easy tests!

This guys cool and very good at his job. he's tough but you learn what you need to know, and he's not that bad overall. Don't take his classes if your stupid and can't learn, but if your normal you'll enjoy his dedication to science.

Only people who don't apply themselves would think he is hard. Anyone who shows up everyday and does the work can complete this class. He dumbs chemistry to community college level. He always had time for every student who asked.

This man took a class that I would normally fail and helped me through it. Very tough material, dumbed down for you. If you didn't get it in class, he was ALWAYS there for help after class or during office hours. Has a web-based resource site with extra credit. You will only fail if you dont care.

i dont personally enjoy his teaching style (talks and writes things on the board while you're trying to copy things from the overhead) but he's very nice and very willing to help whenever you ask for it. he reviews tests the class before and if he sees people are having problems with the quizzes he'll review an extra day. i would take him again

Proff. Antonelli is very clear with his lectures as well as his notes. He is very helpful with anything you throw at him. Whatever he says is going to be on the test is, there are no suprises. I find his tests very easy flowing. Show up for class do your work and he will give his all.

Take his class. Everything is in the notes, so if you study them, there is no reason why u whould fail.

Pretty nice, sometimes funny. Very clear and knows his stuff. There are tests and you need to take notes but he isn't that bad. A lot better then my highschool teacher.

I felt he was very clear in explaining complex issues. Tests and quizzes tend to be difficult, so studying is a must. Be prepared to take tons of notes (3-4 pgs./day on average). However, you don't need your book at all- don't bother buying it. Only get the lab manual. Just pay attention and use your notes, and you'll be fine. Oh, he hates talkers.

He is good teacher .. you take a lot of notes, and his tests are hard, but he will help you as much as possible as long as you ask. He gives you a notecard for your tests so you dont have to remember any formulas . he is a good teacher and he is nice/

At first he came off as stern, but has since loosened up & shown a pretty cool personality. He is admittedly hard of hearing so don't think he is ignoring you. Most of the lecture is given on power point, write down everything. He will review before tests and let you know what you NEED to know. If you have ANY questions, ask, he WILL help you.

AWESOME teacher. I loved his class. Lab was fun, and no matter how many times he had to explain something he would make it so you could understand. You dont need the book. just the Lab Manual. and you dont really need that if you team up with someone and photocopy it. Lots of notes, but its pretty easy to follow!

Prof. Antonelli is excellent. Wants his students to "get it." Very clear. He made a subject that was difficult interesting. Let's you know what to study for exams. No tricks. One of the best teachers I've had at OCC.

Lots and Lots of notes!! be prepared to write the whole class! Lets you know exactly what is on the test and you also can use a note card! Not that bad for a horrible subjet!!!

He is awsome as long as you show up to class and do the work. You are golden. Its really not that hard.

The professor took a sometimes difficult subject and made it clear and simple. All tests are based on material that is covered in class. A very fair grader that asks questions that are not hard to understand on the tests. I would recommend the prof.

I LOVE this professor!! I took him for both Bio I & II & he's a really nice guy. He does ALOT of notes from power point but he tells you everything you need to study for the exam. He also give you take home quizzes that are easy! I would def recommend this teacher! I wish he taught something else other than science :-/

I've read all the comments here. If you don't like this guy, you simply don't care or didn't try to learn. Takes a very complex subject and boils it down to the essentials. Really shines in the laboratory environment; has the enthusiasm of a kid when students are conducting experiments, even though he's probably seen it a million times! TAKE HIM

Good teacher but impatient if you don't understand the material at first. Big on the power point notes and puts everything in laymans terms.

I can't imagine anyone dropping this guy. He can be a little snippy at times, but he's really a cool guy and his class was such a breeze! He was extremely lenient about attendance and deadlines for submitting work. Easy A

I thought he was very fair, and helpful.He even gave us take home quizzes!I seriouly recommend taking him, but if dont like professors who lecture the whole time, or taking notes constantly do not take him

Great Teacher! I had him for bio 1 and 2 and he is always willing to work with you. Curves your grades and wants to see people pass. Quiz's were not bad, he reviewed for your exams the class before so you knew what was going to be on it. Know what he it talking about. Def. Take him!

I took Prof. Antonelli for Biology 1 & it turned out to be great for a science class. The labs weren't hard & we never handed in lab reports either. We rarely got h/w, & the times we did, it was a 5-7 question take home quiz. All of his tests are multiple choice. No essays or papers. We didn't use the book very much,so no need to bring it to class.

cool guy, his class is pretty easy. i was always able to find him in his office when i needed him. just pay attention, take notes, and study.

He is one of my favorite Professors. I he really enjoys his job and this subject and his enthusiasm rubs off on his students.

I can't say eough good things about him. Hes a teacher that acctually teaches and even his labs aren't hard. If you need help just ask him and he will. As long as you take notes from his powerpoints, which he gives you enough time to coppy and explains in detail, and study them for tests you wil do well.He is also very understanding.Take his class!

i took this profesor for biology part 2 after taking professor labolula for 1.part 1 was a joke and did not prepare me for 2. Profesor antonnelli was great and I learned a lot. Sorry i took the other guy for part 1.

I found this course hard cuz I took another teach for biology 1 who gave A's out for nothing. Glad I took annotelli because it prepared me for science and life. I ended up loving this course and got an A.

I attended his 161 and 162 Biology course. A lot of studying and tons of notes to take. If you study enough the Lab tests are decent. However the Lecture room tests are complicated with tricks where any response would be a potential answer. I love science and he was challenging but I actually learned quite a bit!

Excellent instructor!! I highly recommend him for Bio II. Take him and you will not be disappointed.

Had him for bio 161 and took him again for bio 162. Has a sense of humor and teaches by using power point. Instead of just reading the power point he draws pictures and explains things for better understanding. Same with lab.

Eric is the best professor i had. Had him for bio 1 took him again. He loves the subject and has great interest he doesnt teach monotone or have boring lectures he draws pictures and goes to youtube. He is funny. His tests are 80 multiple choice questions if you read the notes its not very hard at all. Lab is very enjoyable too

I took this instructor online and found hime to be very helpful. He answered my questions quickly and has a nice sense of humor. He even takes the time to talk to his students after class. He is very enthusiastic about the subject and it made my learning fun. He is better than another professor that i can't mention here who gives out A's.

his lectures are simple yet a little funny to keep you focused. you do not have to atten lecture at all if you dont want to. but lab with him is mandatory once a week every week. love his teaching style

Lecture is easy, note taking and you don't have to go, it's only to benefit yourself. All my tests were online, so instead of using my book, I used websites/notes. This prof is super laid back, and dorky in a funny way. Very nice guy, I recommend.

I had lab with this professor and he was great. I was busy in lab until the last minute some days but the prof went out of his way to make sure we understood when we asked questions. Sometimes he goes outside the book, but i found that inspiring. He knows his stuff. Great class. Great Professor.

He is a great professor! You can tell he really loves biology. His tests are all online which makes them easy and he gives you plenty of time to complete them. I really enjoy his class and look forward to it even though it's a 8am lecture

He is a really easy teacher if you show up to class and listen to his lectures. You can use textbook/notebook on tests and quizzes, so take good notes but you should still study before. Tests are multiple choice and quizzes are short. Gives many opportunities for extra credit. Will accommodate your needs for test makeups but will give you attitude

I took this class online for my natural science requirement and not only did I love the material but also loved the way the professor was so there for me responded to my emails, gave feedback to my work, and I just felt that he was an understanding and caring person.

Professor Antonelli was an amazing professor. He teaches really well and is able to help you if you need it. I have never had a better professor for any science classes, and probably never will

Professor Antonelli is very passionate about biology. He posts all of his PowerPoint notes online and allows you to use them on the four exams. There is very little homework. He usually lets class out five minutes early. The textbook is not really necessary, but you have to go to class in order to really understand the material.

Had Professor Antonelli for lab. Just complete the lab work assigned and you'll be fine. Only two lab practicals throughout the whole semester, very simple and the reviews outline everything that will be on them.

Don't listen to comments , his lab is great , all of his tests/exams are open notes . Show up and do the work you will pass and get a decent grade .

Was a very good professor. Lectures do drag on, but if you strike up a conversation, then it becomes interesting. Show up to lab once a week and you are guaranteed to pass. Accessible outside of class which is always good. Offers extra credit assignments

Great professor. Lets you use your notes and/or lecture PowerPoint on all exams. Quizzes are done online at home. Total 4 exams a d 4 quizzes.

Great professor. Every class is a long, boring lecture, but I actually enjoy knowing exactly what to expect. He is really a nice guy, and tests are OPEN NOTEBOOK. So if you take good notes, you should be fine. Attendance is graded as well, so I do not recommend skipping class. Just be prepared, and you will do just fine.

Great teacher. Just go to class, pay attention to the slides and take notes. I also recommend printing out the slides to follow along more easily. It is an open notebook test, so the slides come in handy. Just study before and you will do fine. Don't study, you won't pass. He tells you exactly what is on the test. Very clear with explaining concept

Professor Antonelli is a solid choice for a biology professor. He is straightforward, and very explanatory. He used to work as a research biologist in Manhattan and it shows. If I were to pick one negative thing about him it is that he is stupidly overqualified, which can make his lectures seem unmotivated at times however he never does a bad job

I highly recommend Prof. Antonelli! He provides his slide shows for you to print out and use in class (which I HIGHLY recommend so you can write down extra notes he mentions rather than the slide info). He allows you to take quizzes AT HOME, tests are OPEN NOTES (using both slides & your personal notes). I had him for BIOL-161 and BIOL-161L :)

The assignments, quiz and discussions were all very straight forward. Exams were tough and don't show you answers so no idea what you got rightwrong. Labs were time consuming to make sure to look at them early in the week.

The lectures were a bit monotonous but Antonelli is a fair professor. Grades fairly, gives plenty of extra credit, barely used the book at all, most of the test was straight from the PowerPoint notes. He explains things quite well and shows examples outside of the PP. I would recommend him if you enjoy basic note taking and very little discussion.

I have had this professor for Bio 1&2. Every science professor I had at OCC usually had no idea what they were talking about, however, this professor changed my view on the science department. The lectures are off the power point, a quiz for each exam, 4 exams, extra credit given in bio 1 and easy A projects in bio 2. BEST PROFESSOR AT OCC!

Antonelli is a great professor! He allows you to use notes on exams, take online quizzes at home, and complete extra credit assignments. The only downside is that he is very monotone and lecture heavy. He is VERY educated on his field, but rarely strays from his slides. After taking him for BIO 161, BIO 161L, & BIO 162, I definitely recommend him!

Print out his slides and take notes on them when he lectures, he lets you use them on exams. You still have to study for exams bc their usually 65-70 questions. His lectures are interesting and he gives tons of extra credit assignments. Don't buy the book I just used his slides and was fine. Great professor.

Go to class and pay attention and use your notes on the exams. If you do all of this you are guaranteed at least a B. Don't buy the textbook, Great guy.

Antonelli was an amazing professor and he was so funny!!! The content was a little difficult but he made the lectures very interesting with the slideshows. Exams are can be complicated but they're open notes and the quizes are really easy. He is also really good to the students with 504 accommodation plans.

I took Prof. Antonelli in the Fall of 2020 for the lab portion of general biology. I think that he's a good professor who is open to helping students. I like how his assignments were easy and didn't require a complex lab kit. If you are looking for a somewhat easy course taught by a nice person, I recommend you take biology with Prof. Antonelli.

I had a professor for Lab and Bio and his class was interesting on Remote. Probably would have been more fun with an in-person lab. I have no passion for Biology, but I did learn a lot from my Professor. He is a nice guy and funny, cares about his students.

Such a good biology professor! Never gives homework, tells you exactly what to study, and his exams are always based on the powerpoints he reviews in class. Very lecture heavy, but great professor!

The lectures are great, he goes over his powerpoint slides instead of just reading from them and having you take notes. The main source of grades from the class is from 4 exams, but the exam questions closely follow his powerpoints so as long as you pay attention and take notes you'll do fine.

He was pretty good! All he really does is lecture from PowerPoints which can get tiring sometimes. It's A LOT of information but you can tell he is really knowledgeable about Biology and science in general. He gave extra credit which was nice. He could on occasion be boring but he was also a funny guy and added humor when and where he could.

I only had this prof for the bio lab, so I cannot speak for the actual course, but for the lab he was super chill. They were all really easy and easy to follow. We never had to stay the full time. Midterm was super easy and the final was okay. Just ask him questions.

Exams are easier than Labellas although Labellas labs are easier. Funny but a little monotone when lecturing. Easy projects. Exams are based on his slideshows. Some exams are open notes and some aren't. Visual learners will love this class since he has diagrams and tons of pictures in his slideshows.

This class was super easy to pass! Attendance didn't matter and all of his classes consisted of powerpoint lectures that were posted in canvas. He's fairly monotone so sometimes class would drag, but he is a super nice and chill professor. Some of the quizzes were honorlocked, but the exams weren't. Super easy class to get an A in. Take him!

He is an amazing and chill professor. Attendance isn't really important, especially since everything is online. the tests and quizzes can be confusing, and at times, there isn't enough to take them. At times, his lectures feel like they are taken forever because he sounds like a robot with no emotion. But he has a lot of valuable information.

I enjoyed the class! Wish I signed up for my fall classes sooner! By the time I tried his classes were full :(

The course did not have much work besides tests. Antonelli is very knowledgeable in biology, but if you are not interested in biology, it may be harder to pass since he is quite monotone, which makes it difficult to focus. He will answer questions in detail if you ask them, however!

Great Professor all around, Pretty funny too. Would love to take his classes again if I can!
