I thought the dude was some sort of satanic student but he really knows his stuff and makes it easy to learn I think he gave to much Extra credit because I earned over a 100 percent in his class but I learned a lot so it was worth it

VERY easy! Sends you the notes in e-mail along with lecture outline. He's very clear about what he's teaching and will go over what you don't get. Quizzes are easy, basically tells you the answers.

A good teacher. Wants you to succeed in his class and does whatever he can to help you if you ask. Had my doubts at first but he is good. If you need help in the class just ask. He will come in on his day off. Enjoyed his class alot.

Q is a teacher that you won't fall asleep with, he talks so fast and moves around so much that there is no time for nodding off. He actually teaches you something, you do homework every week but it isn't agonizing and it really helps you remember for the quizzes.

Good teacher. Makes sure everyone understands the material. Tests are hard though. Tests are usualy over 3-4 chapters at a time (which can be tough).

Highly recommend. One of the best teachers I've had at Delta. He brings something fresh, unique and different to the classroom and made Econ a lot easier than I expected. I ended up with an A- and will definitely try to take him for 222.

Q is an excellent teacher, I had him for Econ 221 & 222.I got an A- in both classes,if you don't review his notes(that he e-mails to you) and put effort into the class, you won't do good.As long as you put a slight effort you should do fine.Hopefully he gets in full-time so he can "teach" others.

I would definately work my schedule to fit him in again. I had a 3 hour class during the summer, and he even made that ok. Because of his examples and stories every 20 mins, I would turn around to see that an hour had gone by. Tests come off the quizzes. Show up to class and you will have no problem getting at least a 'B'.

The best economics teacher at Delta, in my opinion. He really knows what he's teaching, and he also knows how to put complex economic concepts into simple, easy-to-remember terms. He actually knows how to make economics interesting.

If I had to take another econ class it would definately be his. He is awesome and I am glad I had him. Lectures go by really fast, didn't even seem like a 4 hour class. Tests are not easy, but they are multiple choice, so if you study, you will do fine.

Professor Beckman "Q" is a very good teacher. His test are not all that easy but if you go to class and do all the assignments, then you will do well. Highly suggest to study the practice tests b/c they are base on them. He is always wanting to help. The best part is that he uses educator alot. Truely one the best Delta's professor.

Seriously, if you want to learn about ECON... Take Q. He has gotten to be the smartest prof at delta. I have never been so interested in econ ever in my life. I started an argument with my grandmother about voting and milleges from all that i learned. he makes everything soooo simple to learn and clear that you will want to be an ecomomist. A+

The most boring class that I have ever taken in my life, lecures to fall to sleep to! But for teaching such a boring subject he does a really great job and makes the class really easy. You have to be stupid not to get at least a B.. I mean I put in maybe an hour or two a week and got an A for the class. Easy!

Totally one of the coolest prof ever. Very approachable and entertaining made a somewhat less than interesting subject very interesting. All the crazy stories help! I would definately recommend him and would take another class with him in the future.

Beckman is one of the best professors at Delta. He made a borng subject more interesting. If you take this class, as long as you keep up on your quizes and homework, and do decent on the exams, you will pass! And for the Exams, it will be greatly advised to use the practice tests he gives you! Most of the questions come right from these tests.

Great teacher! All the homework is online. He will clarify anything you dont get. There are 2 projects the whole sem. and 3 tests. He will go the entire class and you only get 2 absences. Also, he gives you a review before the test and everything on it will be on the test.

beckman was one of the best professors i've had if not the best. has a good passion for teaching and is very clear on everything. the quizzes and homework on educator help you alot on the tests. study guides are very helpful too.

Q was a great Prof. He was always there to help. I took this in the summer though, so we had four hour classes. I barely did any work and still got a "C". I would recomment that you take this class in the fall or winter.

Great professor that makes this class really easy. I don't know how the test averages were so low because he covered the material until everyone understood it and he allowed notecards on the exams. Great teacher and really knows his stuff.

Do your homework and quizzes and reviews and you will be fine on the exams. Note cards are really just for quick reference - almost not even needed.

I don't think anyone could or would not be fond of this guy. He is a great teacher and person in and out of the classroom and really cares about us. His class (Econ 221) is a lot of work, but if you put in the effort, you should be fine. Fantastic!

I had his class at 8 in the morning and i am not a morning person. I only fell asleep when he played movies. His lectures are entertaining, keep you focused, and he is understanding. Coolest teacher i have had.

My favorite instructor at Delta! Very knowledgeable. I took him in the winter(14) which seemed like a long semester. His style of teaching makes a boring subject interesting. He's able to keep students focused by going off topic, then coming back to the material. He's very likable and relatable. I actually like economics now. Will take him for 222

Eric was really nice and helped me out when I needed it, lectures are very long but he can make them interesting. I really worked at this class and it is hard, I would probably not take it again. Some of the material on the Exams we never talked about, and it would have helped me to get some more learning activities.

He knows the subject and is willing to hep you. Sometimes the material on the tests were not what we went over in class (or at least not enough). If he asks a question in class, then answer it or try to. If you and your class does not answer it then he will get a little angry at the class because it is such a simple question.

I'm not exactly sure how he hasn't been snapped up by a larger university. Seriously, the dude is brilliant and on top of that he really knows how to relate to his students. He's not just there to collect a check like so many of these other profs. He sincerely cares about you learning the material and as a student, that feels good.

Initially I was intimidated based on appearance. Couldn't be farther from truth. 'Q' is easily the best professor at Delta and should win more awards then he currently does/has. Classes are relatively easy but tests are TOUGH so study/note cards/etc.

Professor Beckman will give you plenty of opportunities to get an A in his class, but you'll have to work for it. Don't skip out on his lectures, don't sit on your phone in class, & DO the homework. He gives you past tests and plenty of notes to study from. 3 x 5 notecard to assist you on tests leaves no excuses. He's a good man, very passionate

I was terrified to take Econ because I didn't do so well in high school, but he made it easy to understand. He also had a great sense of humor. I had him for a night class that was four hours long, but his personality helped it go by fast. You have to attend class, it's mostly a lecture based class so if you skip then you won't know what's going on

He was probably my favorite teacher I ever had at Delta and I recommend him to anyone taking Econ. He truly cares how you do in his class and tries different methods to help you learn. The homework can sometimes be a struggle but he will help you through it. Because of his class, I ended up loving a subject I was terrified off before college.

All homework and quizzes are an easy A and he does offer chances for extra credit. The exams are filled mostly with information from his lectures so if you dont show up to class that often you will not do good on the exams. He is so nice and very good at explaining all of concepts.

Nothing but respect for him but the material itself is difficult, he really does try his hardest to make things easy to understand. I passed both classes. Just work hard.

Q was an amazing professor! Took him for both Macro and Micro economics. Not an easy professor, but amazing lectures and great person to work with. Highly accessible both in and out of the classroom. Would give helpful homework helpers after you attempted the problems and useful test reviews. Highly recommend him if you want to learn the material.

He was an amazing professor. Tests were very hard though even if you study for them. The final is not cumulative, but there were 3 parts and not easy at all.

Definitely one of the harder classes Ive taken. He offers a lot of extra credit because of the difficulty of the class. I would suggest to do as much of it as you can. His tests were extremely difficult, and I was lost pretty much the entire time he lectured. I got a good grade in the class, but I definitely worked harder for that A than anything.

Q Beckman is a great professor; absolute economic genius. I struggle with economics and had no clue going into Macro, but I made it out with an A. I am taking him again this semester for Micro because although I seemed to be lost a majority of the 4 hour lectures, he really does try his best to teach you the material. Economics is just difficult.

Professor Beckman was AWESOME! I recommend him to anyone who has no prior knowledge of econ. He is hilarious which makes the class fun for the long hours.

Great professor, clearly enjoys the subject and teaching it. Was very open to help. Would take again, however the class was all lecture format and the tests were HARD. Study and use his online resources (especially the old test for practice) and you will be fine. Great guy.

Q was awesome. He is the most down to earth professor I have ever had. This class is definitely not easy, and he is a tough grader. Notes, notes and more notes. I went through about 1.5 notebooks for his class. Hint: color code your notes.

Honestly, do your webwork and quizzes online. A lot of people fail because they don't do that but it is majority of your grade. Also, his tests are exactly like his review problems so make sure you study those before you take his tests.
