He's an excellent teacher: Here's the specific what he does: 1) he gives lecture notes and you study the lecture powerpoints for the quiz and exams 2) He gives alot of extra credit 3) He's a fun teacher 4) you earn alot of points in the class 5) You can easily get an A if you study his powerpoints

This professor was one of the best teachers I've had here at coc . He's honestly the best ! His lessons are interesting and very clear . If you take notes during his lessons and do the journals he assigns you will do good in the class. His exams are very clear . I would take take his class again . He's very helpful and cares about his students.

The textbook is an absolute snoozefest, but thankfully, class was based almost entirely on the prof's lectures. Attendance is crucial because 41% of our grade was based on participation in journals and discussion-- all in-class assignments. Study the powerpoints, and the quizzes+tests will be easy. Grade breakdown: 12% quizzes, 48% tests. Take it!

I have never met someone more who cares about their students and wants to truly see them succeed. I love psychology and I loved this class because of him. If you show up, do the work, and put in the time, you will get an A. Thank you professor for everything!!!

Great professor. He helped me when I needed someone to talk to about family matters and he really cared about all of his students.

Psych is an amazing subject already, but STUDY the material he gives you, he picks out the more interesting parts of the chapters and tests you accordingly.

Professor Berrenson is the professor to take for classes like PSYCH172. Attending class is a must, however his lectures are interactive and always have meaning. Exams (5) are straightforward and easy if you study his study guides. However he does offer extra credit for those who need it. There is also a essay and a presentation.

This professor is by far the best I've had!! He genuinely cares for his students and wants to hear what you have to say. You can tell he is passionate about Psychology, and you must attend class sessions because everyday you get points for showing up and participating in class activities! Free points! An easy A. Gives you study guides for all of your test way ahead of time (5 exams total). The study guides are his test, so just study them and you will get an A. This class consisted of class participation points, exams, and one presentation(literally talk about your life). Easy class, great teacher, HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO TAKE IT.

I would definitely recommend this professor. Not only is the class a breeze, but it is genuinely enjoyable. He not only cares about your grade, but of the well being of each and everyone of his students. Do not hesitate to sign up for one of his classes.

He was a great proffesor! I would take him again, he is supper understanding and caring. Do everything he asked for, do the extra credit, study the study guide you'll do awesome. He is very approachable unlike other proffesors in college. Make sure you attend every class it's worth points, 5 exams, 1 presentation, and extra credit.

If you are taking a 172 course, I highly recommend taking professor Eric Berrenson. He makes the material understandable, lectures are interesting, and he provides extra credit for those who need/want it. As long as you show up, do you work, and study it will be an easy A. His class was very straightforward and completely non-stressful. There was basically no homework at all the whole semester. The only project we had was a final power point. Solid teacher! Best psych101 teacher based on other friends' experiences. Show up most of the time and you'll pass. *You do need the book*

The class was a refreshing change of pace from other classes. I would definitely take it with Eric again. He is a fair grader, is clear on assignment expectations and gives reasonable work loads. In-class lectures consist of sharing personal experiences or TEDx videos, instead of slideshows with textbook science.

He's a caring, nice, accommodating professor!

Professor Berrenson was by far the best psychology teacher here at COC. He gives you all the materials you need for the tests, so no book is needed. Just read the chapter notes and youll do very well. He is a lenient grader and as long as you participate, he is caring, understanding, and hell give you a good grade and extra credit whenever.

He's a great professor. He's genuinely interested in psychology and people so there's a good energy from him. Study for your tests, show up to class to do the assignments, and ask questions when you have them and you'll do well in this class.

As demanding college classes can be, this class takes off the load. Yes, this isnt a traditional psych 172 class where we stick to the intense curriculum entirely, but it is life changing. You take two to three midterms and everything he says will be on the test will be ! However, this class is like free therapy, hahah, but life changing. Try him!

The class is easy and the lectures are pretty interesting. Berrenson is a great teacher. You really get a sense that he loves teaching about psychology, and that he cares about his students. Take this class!

If your expecting a normal Psych class where you learn about thinking and take a scientific approach, then this is not the class for you. He is a wonderful person and the class really takes a load off. There is a journal almost every morning which are graded. Be sure to print and use the study guides he provides and the class will be a breeze.

Such a great teacher and person. If you pay attention to his lectures (which he makes very interesting) and study your notes you'll do great. He will mention when something is going to be on the test so pay attention. Very fun caring teacher, highly recommend!

The class is easy but worthwhile. We listen to meaningful lectures, write short journals, & just converse. No midterms or exams. But we have two Powerpoint presentations with simple requirements. You don't even have to show up on days you're not presenting. He did say the curriculum is something new he's trying this fall2018, so keep that in mind.

I not only learned about psychology, but I learned about myself! Professor Berrenson is fair and passionate about the subject. The assignments we did in class were incredibly helpful and have inspired me in more ways than you know.

Life changing. There wasnt a ton a textbook theory, rather group discussions, essays and reflective journals on psychological concepts and your own psyche. There were 2 PowerPoint presentations & 10-15 assignments, group discussions, and essays. Professor teaches with passion, and is incredibly fair and caring. I would take any of his classes.

Professor mentioned he was trying new curriculum this semester (fall 2018) so keep in mind: 2 presentations, and several in class essays and journals for points. Make sure you attend class. Participation matters. Wonderful man and teacher!

I absolutely loved this Psych 101 class. Not only did it teach me about out the study itself, but also about myself and my personal goals. The class did an excellent job at taking the information we learned and allowing/assisting us in applying it to our individual lives. Took his psych 101 class. The final project left me with a good feeling. Great professor. Only reason it is not a 5/5 is because it did feel a little easy for college. This teacher is amazing, you get a quizzes every Saturday but they are all due by the end of the semester, i dont know if it changed or not but for me. The work is really easy it just a journal and discussion. towards the end semester he was a mediated project in which was fin and easy. Highly recommend this teacher if u need a psych class.

Amazing teacher, I took this class online. Zoom meeting twice a week, about an hour long. His assignment is really easy and gives you a week to finish. His assignment takes about 5-20 minutes and he doesn't care about grammar. During his lecture, he tells you what going to be on the test. Choose him, he is an amazing teacher.

His class is the easiest class I took this semester. He is an amazing professor. We had assignments for each lecture that could be done in 5-20 minutes but were always given a week to finish it. We had a major project which was mediate for 20 days and write your thoughts about it. Two exams and the last exam is optional. Take him!
