I love Dr. Bridges. He makes every class interesting and fun, and he tries to support everyone's test taking needs - he lets you take it orally if you're more of an oral person, he lets you take it home if you feel less stressed that way, or work in groups in class. He believes everyone deserves an A if they earn it.

Not every professor has the time to go thru ur paper to correct u, props up for u Dr.Bridges. he is a wonderful professor.very helpful and concerned about his students.I recommend u take him if u have to take Psychology, you will not regret it.Though be ready to put your heart into your work,it pays off at the end.

Dr. Bridges is GHETTO! He's also a really good teacher and cares about his students. And I know he comes here and reads his ratings so I'm tempted to say something mean haha but no I love Dr. bridges

I had Dr Bridges first for Social Psych, and came back for Human Development. He is a great teacher and you easily get caught up in his class discussions. The man knows his stuff and he if very knowledgable and down to earth. He is not caught up in the politics that can come along with college education...real cool peeps

This professor is the bomb. I really enjoy this class. He is a riot. I look forward to the discussions we have. I clicked that he's hot, but not just for his appearance. He's just a firecracker!!!

I like dr.b although i did not agree with some of his beliefs. His class was the only one i did not mind going to last semester. He is a fair teacher, & he cares about his students. He not trying to make his students lives miserable. Just attend class often and listen & I guarantee you will make a good grade.

I took Dr. Bridges last year and all i have to say is screw these naysayers, Dr. Bridges is the greatest professor to ever grace the campus of CSU. I took him for intro psych and developmental psych, and both of these classes were my fav classes out of any i've taken. Dr bridges tells it like it is, and if you cant handle that then dont take him.

Dr. Bridges is a wonderful person overall...He is extremely intelligent, cute, and OPINIONATED...He's a very fair teacher and really loves to hear what his pupils have to say...I took his Intro class..and I just had to take his Developmental class whether I needed it or not!!...Love ya Dr. Bridges!

Wow Dr. Bridges what did you do to piss off so many students. Well my hats are off to you since you have one ov the most interesting classes and lectures skills on campus. Allowing your students to voice their opinions and treating them to knowledge is excellent. Keep up the good work!!

Dr. Bridges is a very good teacher. Take him if you can!He is serious about his work. You will learn a lot.

He is VERY funny!! Very opinionated, but makes valid arguements. Will tell you like it is at times when it's needed. Tests vary in difficulty levels, so READ your book!! You take them in groups, so it's not THAT hard, but classes will get off topic so STUDY STUDY STUDY!!

I must say I've never actually taken a class with Dr. Bridges, however, I am seriously considering it. He is smoking HOT!!!!!!! I see him around campus all the time and he is a sight for sore eyes. His looks would be a distraction in class!!!

READ, READ, READ. Open book, group tests. He likes to assign papers, and is impressed if you can write well.

Kind of intimidating at first but is an all-round cool guy. Expect to read and MEMORIZE the charts. IF you can write then your set, if you can't, then the group or more like classroom test are pretty awesome. Does curve grades and lectures are very interesting. 5 exams make up your main grade, and he drops the lowest. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I saw an earlier post that Professor Bridges reads these posts... and that cracks me up! I bet he likes reading that all his students think he's hot!! HAHA! Seriously, Bridges is a great professor... A little eccentric, but good. Let me stress: YOU HAVE TO GO TO CLASS AND YOU HAVE TO READ YOUR BOOK TO PASS THE TESTS! He's great though

He is very cool! He is very intelligent, but still is open to other view point. Getting an A in this class is as easy as showing up and participating.

Dr. Bridges is a good professor. In this class he relates pyschology to things that go on in our everyday life to help you understand the topic. I would recommend this class to anyone. We did essays, which I enjoyed because I like to do essays and I am not a good test taker. This class should definitely be taken if you are a PSYC major.

He is ok, at first I wasnt to fond of him, he likes to put people on blast a lot, his test are much easier than he says they are, I think he just likes to scare his students into studying, He is a good teacher but I wouldnt take him again.

First of all he is not that hot:-) But on the other hand he is a great teacher. He allows open class discussions which are very limited at clayton so that is a breath of fresh air. He also gave a lecture about brown eyes blue eyes which I truly enjoyed. Show up for class, read the chapters and u should pass.

He is a one of my favorite prof at clayton state! WHen I was in his class we had group test, and alo of open discussions! He test can be hard sometimes so pay attention in class do not worry about taking notes from his powerpoints just read the book and do the work on mypsychlab and you';; do fine! and he is a bit of eye candy! :)

dependin on how he wahts psychologicial design the quizzes or tests the class is easy. gives final extra credit points, and you dont need to even bring a book to class. only thing i dont like is 4 absences then one letter grade dropped thing bcuz its unnecessary wen the class only needs to meet on quiz or test day. but great teacher

I loved taking this class, i would encourage all to take Dr. Bridges if you can, he encourages you to think outside the box and you might learn something about yourself in the process, he helps students improve on their APA writing styles, and encourages you to write as much as you would like! Looking forward to taking educational psych with him!

LOVED HIM. If you read the book and study for his class its very easy to pass his class. He likes to talk alot but it relates to what were learning in class. His class was the only class that makes me want to come everyday. Make sure that you do the ex-crieted work. Trust me it would make a differents.

I am currently enrolled in Dr. Bridges class. I recommend his course to anyone willing to be respectful and not interupt. He gives you every resource that he has to help you pass. It honestly should be hard to fail. He grades very fair. He is very helpful and has very creative methods that help you learn the material.

Easy A if you do the work. All you have to do is come to class, participate, and respect him. You learn a lot from him. He's great!

This class was great he is funny and makes class fun. Just read the material and you will do fine. If you don't read then he will add more work otherwise it is good. He allows for a recapure of test(to reanswer the questions you got wrong) and this gives you partial credit. He also has lots of extra credit

Intro to Psych classes are always annoying because everyone wants to self analyze but Bridges does a decent job of at least keeping it entertaining. His lectures are fairly worthless for the tests but his policies make it impossible to fail Although he initially comes across as arrogant it fades a bit. Take him for intro & ignore you're classmates.

easy A. he will tell you almost what he wants you to study on the test. Read the textbook properly. do the quiz as prep for the test. extremely easy and funny. gives a chance to make up. everyone should get an A.

Dr. Bridges is a fantastic teacher. He is very engaging and enjoyes group discussions. If you prefer a boring teacher that just stands at the front of class and lectures he is not for you. I would definetly take him again.

I LOVED this class. Dr Bridges is so easy going and so smart. He makes everything interesting. If you prefer a teacher that just stand at the front of the class and lectures HE IS NOT FOR YOU. We had discussions every class. We did not use the book. You do not have any test. Instead you write papers. I made A's on all of them.

Dr. Bridges thank you for being the 1st professor at Clayton to REALLY grasp my interest. I hated missing his class. Very informative, very fair. GREAT CLASS!!!!!

Easy going and fun instructor. Very open minded and refreshing. Quiz or test every other week- you MUST READ THE BOOK, and you will do fine. Occasional group work, lots of class discussion (sometimes too much). Laid back class, yet fun and informative. I'd certainly take him again in the future.

The further you go into his classes, the more you appreciate his desire to teach. He helps you understand more than just the text.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Dr. Bridges' class. I have him for Psychology of the African American Experience...superb! His knowledge and passion shine through all discussions. The class was heavy on discussion and it was so thought-provoking! I'd take this class over and over again if I could. I wish there was a part II to this class!

He is a great teacher! the best psych teacher at the school in my opnion. i was a psych major and if i could i would take him for any psych class i needed. His test are'nt hard and he's super helpful and nice. He makes an effort to know his students. Trust me take him anytime you can!!!!

By far the best psychology professor at CSU! I took him in the fall of 2008 for intro, & he was my favorite class. He wasn't afraid to talk about subjects that may iritate some people, which was very refeshing compaired to other professor. He is fun, opinated, he will teach you, & he's one of my favorite professors at CSU. he's just a cool person

I took him for African American Psych and I loved his class. I learned a lot and have whole new perspective on life. Great teacher.

Dr. Bridges is very helpful, he teaches you how to really apply psychology in your everyday life, and he definitely talks about what really happen in psychology! I appreciate his honest, you walk out of his class with a different perspective on life. P.S. Yes he refers to himself as the third person alot.

Dr.B is intelligent, informative, fun & really wants you prepared for life beyond college. For those who say the lecture is a waste, its probably b/c you want the book spoon-fed to you.YOUR responsibility is to read, his job is to apply the material. His papers are no joke, but you will become a better writer/researcher. And yes, he is kinda cute.

Dr. Bridges is so freaking awesome. this is my 1st semester at clayton state and i couldn't have asked for a better teacher for my 1st class. He talks a lot about real life situations, so you have a better understanding of what's going on in the world around you. wish i could take him for every class. hope all my classes are half as interesting.

Nice man,loaned me his book before mine came and I had never met him. Very knowledgeable about blacks & psychology. Tests are m/c, not easy, but he allows students to earn 1/2 the points loss on test back, by explaining the right answer (recap)w/a pg# & web page that talks about it. He Gives 3 opportunities for extra credit.

Great Professor I would recommend everyone to take his class. Very knowledgeable about African American History. His personal stories are great. He really makes you think about life and our history.

I don’t understand why anyone would say Dr. Bridges class is hard. If anyone should have failed this semester, it should have been me. Juggling family, I had very little time to commit to reading the material & studying the way I should BUT with the help of God I passed (C ). If Dr. Bridges was such a bad professor I would have failed big time.

Dr. Bridges is a well rounded instructor, and I would definitely take any class that he teaches. I have him for Psychology of the African American Experience, and I now have a better understanding of what it means to be African American, and where we come from. I wouldn't have learned this truth in any other class. The readings were awesome, too.

Excellent, Insightful, Enthusiastic, Caring, Intelligent, Helpful, Smart, and Inspiring! Dr. Bridges says what most are afraid to say. He is well worth his salt and his tenure! I Love this class and will take anything else he teaches!

I took Dr. Bridges for Psyc of Social Justice during Maymester. Attendance was mandatory, but that did not bother me. His class is SO interesting and his class discussions really encourage you to read & prepare so you can join in. One of the best professors I've ever had. (Lots of interesting books to read & journals to write, though. Be prepared.)

He talks a lot but he is very knowledgeable. He comes across as tough in the beginning but he seems to just want students to take the class serious. He is very passionate about teaching. That's what makes him a great Professor. Read your books and participate in discussions. His class was better than I originally expected.

I absolutely love Dr. Bridges. Very interesting class. Seems to get off topic but he always relates what he's talking about back to the lecture. Very intriguing, very welcoming but he DON'T PLAY! He says what's on his mind so he's one of those people you just have to know "how to take," but that's what makes him likable! Want to pass? READ!

He is a very intelligent professor, you will have to read some books but they are very interesting books. Very funny guy but he makes the class enjoyable. His work is based on the reads so if you read you will do well in his class. Did one research paper.

Very funny and compassionate. His class was very fun. He makes you WANT to participate. I have never seen him be mean to a student. He is very accessible. He will gladly meet up with you. The grade was based primarily on tests when I took his class, but his lectures are so interesting, the information just sticks with you. I always try to take him.

He is great. He is super cool and loves class discussions. He doesn't like when you miss class or you're late but that's any professor. Trust me you wouldn't want to miss his class anyway. His class is fun and interesting.

Dr. Bridges is an amazing professor. My banking account thinks otherwise based on all the books I've purchased outside of the four recommended but I love to read. I wonder if he has a Goodreads account... Get ready to talk! You will not pass with an A if you do not participate. He gave three short papers at two pages or less. Take him!

Professor Bridges is AMAZING! His Human Development course was something I looked forward to every day that I had the class. Lectures were always very interesting and informative. His class is also an easy A. Go to class and YOU will pass.

Dr. Bridges' lectures are engaging, enlightening and thought provoking. He has compassion for his students as well as expecting excellence. I should've dropped the class due to personal matters however I was willing to jeopardize my GPA because the class was so interesting. The content of the class and the professor were great.

Only 4 assignments. Work was annotated bibs. Assigned a textbook but I made an A by doing what he asked on assignments not by reading the book. Have common sense and youll pass

I loved his class and would recommend that you take it, especially if you are African American. He is very funny and relaxed. There were two big projects that are the bulk of your grade, and the rest is discussion. He has so much knowledge to give and likes to hear students' feedback. Overall a great class and I would take it again.

I took Dr. Bridges for half a semester in spring 2024 , and I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT how he teaches. He was/is only the best professor I have had so far. Especially as a black student, he shows that we have a voice and should never be afraid to use it. I'm definitely taking him again.

Professor Bridges has a unique teaching style. While his lectures can be unfocused at times, the material is engaging. Using Unstuck ai alongside the textbook helped me stay on top of the requirements.
