He's an EXCELLENT professor! He explains everything extremely well in the notes, and then asks questions you should be able to answer if you've studied. It's not easy, and for me required a lot of studying, but the exams were fair if you studied. He's very helpful, and makes himself available if you need him. I really like him, I enjoyed his class.

This Professor is brilliant, organized, professional, and fair. I scored a B+ in his class, but I could of easily done better. However, everything he lectures are on the tests. He puts it all in perspective for you so don't worry about it. My advice is attend class, do study guides, and take notes. You'll do real well.

Dr. Eric Chiang is an extraordinary professor. A true gem, he is highly organized and makes Microeconomics a very interesting course to learn. Dr. Chiang is an exceptional lecturer. Wonderful teacher. He can be a little repeatitive at times. However, he is extremely fair at grading! You need an i<clicker for his classes. He made boring(to me) subject matter somewhat interesting by adding funny clips, pics, and stories.

This class is definitely not easy. The teacher is clear and he makes the class interesting for a boring subject but for some reason I could never get higher than a c on his tests. The TA's exam reviews are pointless. You take 4 tests and online homework that can be counted as a test grade. He drops the lowest Test grade or econportal grade.

Loved his class, you can tell he wants to be there and loves what he is doing. I actually changed my major to economics after taking this class and he was defiantly a factor in that decision. I will be taking him over summer for his Macro economic class in which he never teaches except this summer.

Very helpful teacher, you can tell he's super interested in the subject and can make you feel the same. Tests vary, but were all online. Just make sure you watch all the online lectures, they do help, and if you take notes on those you'll be fine.

Prof.Chiang is really helpful. Although attendance is not mandatory, some things that he mentions in class will be in the exam, for sure. Watch the online lectures, they will help you in your exams. Homework is mandatory and easy... You'll enjoy the class... he answers all your questions. Book is not necessary.

Exams come straight from book content so buy it. Lecture is just material reinforcenet. Read the chapters and dont slack on econprotal hw. and he gives a lot of extra credit to help you.

He was good overall. Most of the time clear and concise, but there were a few grey areas. I got the vibe that he enjoys economics, but not necessarily teaching introductory economics. I would take him again.

EASIEST CLASS I HAVE EVER TAKEN! I'm not really sure how people failed the tests/class. All you have to do is take notes and his tests stem directly from his class notes. Online hw and a little extra credit also boost your grade. Dr. Chiang makes the class interesting and worth watching. I didn't buy the book and i didnt need it.

The class is very clear cut, but the tests were a bit difficult. Also, he never responded to the e-mail I sent him. Do all the homework and give your best efforts on the tests and you can pass with a good grade.

Chiang makes Microeconomics a very fun class. He gives plenty of examples( including a few SouthPark ones!)and recorded YouTube videos of him traveling around the world and explaining Microeconomics concepts ( watch them!). It does take some work to get an A, but he has a big curve on his exams, and he is very clear at teaching. Definitely take him

Anyone who wants an easy A, STAY AWAY. He drops your lowest exam. However the exams are hard and usually barley enough time to complete. Homework are OK and do count for a test grade. Many questions on the on the exams deal with math and graphs. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS DURING THE SUMMER. There is too much info in such a short time. Prepare to work

He seems to really care about the students and has a passion for teaching. I took him last semester and now I am in Levy's macro class and I truly miss Chiang. I recommend Chiang for Macro and Micro and never Levy.

Dr. Chiang made economics enjoyable. I took him for Micro over summer and Macro during the fall and his captivating teaching style really made me interested in the subject. You have to work for your grade, but tests are very reasonable if you put in the time. I am doing the Costa Rica tour with him because he's that awesome. I highly recommend.

Very clear explanation of subject matter.

He's a good teacher. He explains the material well and the fact that he's young and kind of nerdy makes him cute and fun to watch. The material can get a little tricky sometimes but overall the course is set up well and it is not too challenging as long as you keep up with lectures and try a little.

He's a nerdy guy with a doctorate in economics who really knows his stuff. He explains things pretty well, he's funny, and he uses the best real world examples I've ever seen from a teacher. The only advice I would give is to read the book and take notes, not just take notes.

Chiang makes his lectures not at all boring to watch and is very thorough on what you need to know, probably because he wrote the book for the course. The four tests are straightforward and you get to use all your notes and the book! LOTS of extra credit that is very easy to get. Only watched the lectures, took notes, and passed with over 100%

Very exciting classes wan wasn't boring. Found myself looking forward to his classes. Really inspired me to want to consider Economics as a major or at the very least a minor. Would definitely recommend him to any one looking to take this class.

The 1st and 3rd test are on BB & the midterm and final are on remote proctor, but all of hem are open book & notes. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!

Chiang is one of the best professor FAU has in my opinion. You can tell he genuinely loves his job and economics. He provides excellent feedback on the progress of the class and gives every opportunity possible (but still makes you learn the material). Professor Chiang is a great professor with outstanding methods of teaching. He made microeconomics interesting and somewhat relatable. The online coursework is super easy and actually helps prepare you for the tests, which were all open book.

Chiang is a really great professor who truly cares about his students. He has amazing lectures and is very thorough. You would have to try really hard to not do well in his class. Just take notes and ace the homework.

If you pay attention to the lectures you should do fine. I slacked off for a week and it showed in my grades. Pay attention and do the extra credits.

Took him in the summer. 10 chapters. 4 tests (final is cumulative). Lots of homework. All assignments/tests are weighted the same which makes things a little easier. A lot of extra credit, which can boost your final grade about 3 percentage points. Class average for tests ranged between 70-83%. Overall, not the worst teacher & not the worst class.

lecture capture over summer and it was the best thing I've done all year. this man gives a lot of extra credit and he makes the subject extremely easy to understand. his tests are easy, they are open book and open notes. midterm and final require honor lock but you can still use the book and notes. great professor and funny too. Professor Chiang is not only knowledgeable but also relatable. He always makes his lectures apply in the real world and sync with the current trends. He is also extremely humorous and caring. He actually helped write the textbook. 4 Exams they were difficult for me but if you read the chapters & understand the concepts you will pass. need to watch video streams to know the material. all tests are online open note open book. he allows google searches on two/four tests. GUARANTEES a passing grade is you complete every test, learwsmart, homework, and extra credit. but you need to do all. gives extra extra credit hw once or twice during the class.

Dr. Chiang is one of the best professors for economics at FAU. He takes the hardest concepts and simplifies them into plain English for everyone to understand. Makes a lot of funny jokes which makes the class more fun to go to. Tests are not overly difficult but you do need to understand the material. MAKE SURE YOU STAY UP TO DATE ON HOMEWORK as it is impossible to do it all in the last few days of the due date.

I took this class as lecture capture which is great. The hw is mostly participation and does not really require much work. I definitely recommend doing the extra credit to make sure that you have a high grade. He's a great teacher who makes the lectures interesting and his class isn't hard at all. The tests are on what he teaches and open notes.

He is 100% the best professor FAU has, I have taken him twice now with an A each time. He gives you every opportunity to pass, even if you aren't a good test taker, by giving a lot of extra credit. Chiang is great. He has a policy that says if you do every assignment/test hell give you a passing grade of a C, even if you dont have a passing grade. His tests can be challenging but theyre open note and 2/4 are open internet.

I took him at broward college, but he will only continue at FAU. Let me tell you... I dont normally take the time of day to do this but this professor was so well oriented, he had professional recorded lectures with his own textbook, he is truly knowledgeable and provided great insight. Didnt think Id like economics but he changed my mind.

This is a great choice for economics. He makes the lectures interesting and easy to follow along with. If you complete all the hw, exams, and extra credit you're guranteed to pass. He was really nice and available to help students pass!

He is a great teacher, who is always willing to help. There are 4 exams, only two are proctored, but all are open book. Do buy his textbook bc. the hw and exam are directly from his book. Gives extra credit and some of his review questions appear on the exams.

Dr. Chiang was awesome! His lectures were very straight forward and he gives you plenty of time to get the homework done, just dont procrastinate and youll be fine! All of his exams were open book, open notes for lecture capture and he even gives you opportunity to pass even more with extra credit. Great professor.

Chiang is a very good professor and really nice. His lectures are interesting and awesome to watch. He is also very approachable and respondent to emails. He made us wait to see our grades on the final exam until grades closed which was very aggravating. You won't regret taking him.

10/10 would take again. Last time In took econ in hmwk, I got a D. But Chiang made it fun. So fun, that I actually purchased more books on Game Theory and microeconomics on his recommendation. And his EC is fantastic! The extra stuff is expensive, but worth it! Thanks Dr. Chiang for the great semester.

A great class, and very fair. I have an utter disdain for economics and math but this course was manageable, had clear grading criteria, and overall and very fair and predictable structure. I would certainly suggest you take this class, but be aware that you will onyl receive what you put into it and you must read the book or attend lectures.

Best professor I've had since I've been a college student. I have yet to meet another professor who is as enthusiastic about his job as he is. He's great at giving informative lectures that capture your attention, while still not being too overbearing. Also, he's very accessible outside of class and occasionally responds to emails after 12 am.

Took him online cause of covid and he was a really great and easy professor. The lectures were interesting and he breaks concepts down really well. would take him again, funny and give lots of extra credit opportunities. 2 exams were proctored and 2 were not. He also has a no-fail policy as long as you try and do the work.

Professor Chiang was great for Macro! He gives plenty of extra credit opportunities to help his students and truly wants everyone to succeed. Although I found Macroeconomics difficult, professor Chiang made it a really enjoyable class. I am definitely taking him for microeconomics. 10/10 would recommend.

Professor Chiang isnt a harsh professor like others. He is kind, will respond to emails quickly and in a timely manner. He provides a lot of extra credit, listen to his lectures and youll pass. ECO 2013 and ECO 2023 are the best! Loved them both.

Dr. Chiang has lectures that are easy to understand, and he gives lots of extra credit as well as exam reviews and practice tests. Homework is not too hard or time consuming. He also answers emails quickly. Definitely take him for Econ classes!

took him online and he was AMAZING. clearly cares for students and gives multiple extra credit opportunities. some questions from exams are taken from his powerpoints and the reviews. could've easily gotten an A if i wasn't so busy with other classes. i'm not even interested in macro but he made it interesting.

I took Professor Chiang during early spring and it was one of the best classes I've ever taken. he replies to your emails quick and gives you extra credit that help a lot with your final grade. If you take him online he has videos explaining the concepts on each chapter. Work hard and do well and you will pass his class.

Super easy online class. In-person he is young and fun to learn from. Cares about the students and their grades but honestly, you cannot fail. The homework is easy and quick just make sure to not wait until the last minute because it won't work.

I like how he applies pop culture and current events to what I am learning in class. He also allows everyone to do well in the class. As long as u do all ur work on time & try, u will get a C or higher & pass Macro. Chiang is only a email away if u need anything from him, he set his class up to pass so do what u need to pass & u be fine

Great easy going professor! This professor allows a passing C if all assignments are turned in on time no matter what grade you get so as long as you try in the class you won't fail. The lectures are straight forward and the homework is easy. Lots of easy extra credit!!! Exams are open note. Such an easy class if you pay attention.

Probably the best overall professor I've had. So knowledgeable, but makes the subject interesting with his simple and direct lectures. Decent, caring guy too. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Open-note exams. Read/skim through the book for important definitions and formulas, copy down practice problems he does in class, and you'll get an A.

Prof. Chiang is probably the best professor at the school. He is extremely well prepared and makes everything easy to understand. As long as you take notes from the lectures you can pass with an A. Every exam is open notes and two of them you can use internet searches. Definitely recommend taking him!

I love Professor Chiang. His lectures were interesting, easy to follow, and fun to watch. ECO 2023 is very exam-heavy with 3 exams being 100 points each and all the homework being 100 points. The only thing I didn't like about this class is that you did not get feedback when you missed a problem on the homework.

Awesome professor! Be sure you do well on all 3 tests since they are worth a lot and are application problems so take good notes. Also, do ALL the extra credit, and go to his office hours to review the test since similar questions may appear in Test 3. Also, tutoring sessions are very helpful to review confusing material.

Amazing prof to take for online courses. He has easy-to-navigate online work, clear grading criteria, and not very strict deadlines. If you watch the lectures you will get guaranteed 80+. He basically gives you the answers to the tests in class and half the tests are open internet and the other half are open notes. Could not recommend more.

Online class is easy. He gives about 2 weeks to complete 2-3 chapters of hw. Seems like a lot but there's its really not. Each chapter has 1 or 2 extra credit options, a learning curve section, and a graded practice with 12 questions. Tests are a little tricky but they are open book

Easy enough class. You are easily able to pass without trying, so studying even just a bit for the tests will help you get an A or A-. An easy set of Achieve assignments is due every couple of weeks. Low-pressure class especially for people who don't need it for their major but just to graduate.

An amazing professor, has actual interesting lectures that made me almost excited to go to class. Mr. Chiang has a ton of extra credit opportunities and only 2/4 tests use honorlock. The honorlock tests also are open note, making this class extremely helpful for those who struggle with economics! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!

Professor Chiang was a great professor. The concepts of the class themselves are pretty difficult, but his recorded reviews are very organized and essay to take notes from, to study and for some exams even use. There was some homework, but extra credit also constantly offered. Smart and funny. Very enthusiastic even from a screen lol.
