He is so AMAZING!!! I absolutely love Eric. He really wants you to learn and does an excellent job explaining everything. He is always available if you need any help. I highly recommend taking a course with him.

Eric is a very easy grader. He likes when you come to class and listen to lectures, usually he will give you an A as long as you submit your assignements on time and come to class. Sometimes he goes off subject. Doesn't require a lot of studying, easy, very easy class.

Easy grader for his response papers. Quizzes are straight-forward and easy. Discussion is part of grade, but it IS a sociology class. As a person, he's very funny and has many interesting things to say. Definitely recommend and would take him again for a class. Eric is super chill and the class is amazing.

This class is a lot of fun and he teaches a lot of interesting subjects within sociology. The video he has us watch is fun, the activities are equally as enjoyable and he's not a tough grader. The quizzes are outlined days before and everything is pretty straight forward. Great class, definitely recommend!

Eric is an amazing teacher! He is incredibly enthusiastic about teaching and sociology in general. He is open to all opinions and ideas. Class work is a necessity, but it's fairly easy, he is just interested in hearing your own ideas and opinions on the topics at hand.

Eric is the friendliest instructor I've had at Bellevue. He likes class participation but if you're not good at speaking in large groups, he is very easy to talk with after class. Lectures were always interesting and this is the kind of class that does everyone good, regardless of major.

Prof Davis is a humble person with character & also a helpful teacher. His positive vibe brings open atmosphere in the classroom. The only vague thing occur only when it comes to the response paper. It might be good for you to give him a 2nd look on your paper before you submit the final paper. Sometimes, I don't really understand what he wants.

Eric was and is one of my favorite teachers i have had at BC. He is beyond fair when it comes to assignments, attendance, and questions. He is always available for you over email or when he is on campus. His teaching is very interactive with many videos and songs and such. I highly recommend this class, as well as Eric in general.

This was one of the first classes I took at BC and I loved it. The class is well structured, there are chapters from the book you're supposed to read each week and he goes over them in class. Films are the basis of papers and assignments so attendance is important. Eric is accommodating and helpful with any problems you might have.

Eric is by far the best professor I have ever had. His SOC 101 class totally changes the way the see things. His class is fairly easy, he uses online grading. All of his quizzes are online and all of them are open book!You don't really have to read the book because he goes over everything in class using PowerPoint. I totally recommend this class!

Professor E was the greatest professor I had during my time at BC. Great teacher, invested in his subject, super nice guy, real funny, and uses cool teaching methods (i.e. showing stand-up comedy and music videos in class as parts of lessons). HIGHLY recommend any class with Eric Davis.

Eric Davis is awesome. Definitely one of the best profs I've ever had, very enjoyable class and set up for you to succeed. Professor E is one of the best instructors I have ever had. I came into school with a certain major in mind, but now, due to his teachings, I am seriously thinking about changing to a major in Sociology. I highly recommend any class with Professor E. You will not be disappointed.

i love him as a teacher. he's funny and clear in what he says and teaches. he gives time for assgnments and is willing to help when ur stuck with something. the videos are a bit tricky so just make sure you watch them carefully. if you miss someting in class, you can borrow the video from the lib and watch it again. awesome class!!!

I thought that the class was very helpful in my understanding of how sports can effect the world. I learned the positives and negatives that sports has in how the world views sports.

One of the coolest teachers ive had. He is awesome and knows exactly what he is teaching..makes the class go by so fast even though it was two hours! You will get a good grade as long as you did the work. :)

I was afraid taking soc 101 since I am not a fan of these kind of classes. However, with Mr. Davis I enjoyed socioly a lot. I highly recommend his class especially for people who don't usualy like this topic.

This was the first summer class i have ever taken, and i looked forward to going to class everyday. He does an excellent job of keeping the class engaged, starts great discussions, and uses a lot of insightful exercises to teach. Take this class even if you know nothing about Sociology he will make it worth your while.

I loved this class! I needed an elective and I'm so glad I picked his class! He's super relaxed and can explain things really well. He's knowledgable and very resonable with grading. I would definately recommend his class! Especially to running start kids

I took him over summer and he used this app called "Tophat" that app was helpful and great because he lectures through that. His quizzes are super easy because it is based on knowledge and definitions. If you need help just ask and he will be willing to help you after class or before. Great Class.

Hes very clear on his assignments and all of the quizzes you take with him are through Top Hat. Sometimes during his lectures he will go off topic from the book and give some of his own insight on certain topics. I feel like he would shine more in classes where he doesn't have to stick to the script as much and provide more opinions.

Honestly, he is very funny and sassy during class time. The quizzes are very straightforward and easy. However, the film analysis and final grading are very unclear, mostly can't reflect students' ability to understand the coursework. He might have preference on those who interact with him more. So just be careful on what you do. Not TRUSTWORTHY.

Eric has been an amazing professor, he knows his stuff and has great delivery. Lectures are always amazing, however my problem is with his writing assignments, especially his final one. His instructions are not clear and you're left confused on what to write about. Some office visits should've helped this, but the majority of students will be lost.

He is such a chill guy. He is understanding and helpful and this class did not stress me out at all but I learned a lot and found the subject really interesting. He's super interactive and funny too.

I enjoyed his style so much I am taking another class with him this coming semester. He is engaging, interested in your opinion, funny, sensitive, and makes the subject matter mean something, instead of just rote teaching from a book. No tests, just homework questions after each class through Top Hat, and a paper due near the end of the term.

Eric's class was inspiring and relevant to current circumstances. The lectures were fun and the class was easy overall. He definitely knows how to keep sociology interesting.

I took introduction to sociology this summer and it was a blast! He made all discussions and assignments fun and interesting through out the quarter. This professor is able to really relate with his students which made it easier for everyone to understand the terminology and also its concepts. Take this class you wont regret it. :)

Minimal work. Minimal learning. If you actually want to learn about sociology take it from a different professor, if you just want an easy A Professor Davis's class is fine.

Professor E is great and entertaining. His classes are lively and he presents a lot of relevant, interesting topics that really make you think. Really easy class that's fun and grounded in real world issues.

Davis is my favorite professor at BC. He really cares about his students, and the subject he is teaching. I have had him for two classes, and I really wish I could take more with him. He is a fair grader, just put in enough work. I loved going to his classes. Take him if you have the chance.

Fun professor. No exams or final. Loved him. I actually wanted to show up for class. He teaches through videos and very easy things to remember. Always laughed in that class. Quizzes, reading, and attendance is all that is graded and you can redo them as many times as you want. (except attendance)

Hands down one of the greatest professor I've had since I've been in Bellevue College. There isn't a final exam nor were there any major tests/quizzes but only essays. If you do your essays and read the course material it is an easy A. He is open minded in discussions and accepts any and everyone's opinion on the discussion at hand. 10/10

Take this class if you want an easy A. Eric is fast at responding emails and would help you on any trouble regarding the course. There was only 1 major assignment which due on the week before final. Final exam was easy as long as you learn his prezi presentations. A very lenient professor who really tries hard on creating a fun class.

I couldn't ask for a better professor to teach me everything I need to know about Sociology than Professor Davis. Aside than being a fun person in the class, he has a unique style of interactive lectures that involve everyone. It was brilliant and encouraging, not to mention that he's very thoughtful to his students. You won't be disappointed!

His lectures are really fun, he's very engaging and a great teacher for teens. He never responded to my emails or messages, doesn't use Canvas for the course, there are pop quizzes, you have to read the textbook and attend class. He's a cool dude and chill teacher!

Davis was one of the best teachers I've ever met! He cares about every single one in the class. No matter how social you are, you would still feel that you are part of the class. Be prepared to share your thought. He gives chances if needed. He is mindful of what he says. I took him twice. I would take him forever if I could. Highly recommended.

Eric Davis is an amazing professor. He's doing really well through Corona Virus. Some of the teachers at BC are really struggling. The lectures that he's done aren't necessary but really intriguing. Online has been somewhat intense with the assignments but only if you don't keep up with them. Otherwise, the assignments are super enriching.

Professor E is an amazing teacher. He cares a lot about his students and is flexible especially at a time like this where we have to deal with Covid-19. If you have the chance to take this class with him take it!!! Youll learn so much.

This class seemed like it was going to be textbook and reading heavy, but after a few assignments, you get the flow down. There are about 20 questions per chapter, mostly multiple choice. The multiple-choice answers are pretty easy to find, then you just use your own ideas for the short answer. I didn't learn much, but it was interesting and easy.

I took Mr. Davis's sociology class my first quarter at BC as a running start student and loved it. The material was very easy and interesting. There is very short weekly quizzes from the textbook but I never got below a 100% on them. No big tests, midterm, or final. Really just a fun class that I enjoyed a lot. 10/10 recommend.

Had 2 classes with Mr. Davis, a very cool teacher, understanding and intelligent. Easy to talk to and well respected by his students. The class was pretty easy, just show up his lectures which are interesting and even fun and do his movie projects and your set. Definitely one of my favorite teachers at BC. cool guy! respects students' time and energy. was understanding when i reached out to him about assignments being late. didn't make us buy a book, provided all the material. fun & interesting to listen to. very professional. workload wasn't too bad, a couple of assignments (discussions, reflections, readings etc) a week, plenty of time to do them.

Professor Es class is one of the easiest classes I have taken in college. If you do the assignment he will give you an A. And if you need more time, he will give you more time. He is very nice, so if you need help, reach out to him, he will help you.

Professor E is one of the best professors I've ever known, and I have to write this down. His class is both relaxing and instructive. If you plan to take sociology, I highly recommend taking his class.

I wish I got to know Prof. Davis more as he was very kind. The class consisted of readings and questions on TopHat every week. Had to watch 4 films and write a ~3 paged paper (typically ~1k words) on them (don't be intimidated--it's easier when you start). Responds to emails in a timely manner and is very approachable.

There is a lot of reading in his class and on average there's about 7 questions with each chapter you read. He uses a different site for class, TopHat which includes the textbook but you have to pay $70 to access the class. The assignments consisted of a few film analysis', chapter readings + questions, and the final project.

Professor E. was very understanding and easy to get in contact with. Everything is accessed through TopHat rather than Canvas, which costs extra. Manageable workload, mostly questions about readings or discussions about videos, plus 4 documentary papers, and a big final project with flexible guidelines. The content was interesting but felt lacking.

Absolutely loved Professor E, he's a real one. Amazing class environment, genuinely cares for you, great humor, and passionate about what he does. HW, tests and quizzes are light and you can collaborate with others on the quizzes in class. Best professor i've had at BC, 100% take any class you can get with him, you will absolutely love it.

Professor E is a great teacher and very caring. He uses a program outside of canvas that you have to pay for ontop of the course called TopHat which costed 70 dollars. If you ever need an extension from Professor E he is very kind and willing to give extensions (Just ask). He isn't the easiest grader but if you follow instructions you are fine

Professor E's SOC230 class has a manageable workload, with readings, discussions, and analysis papers. The content is interesting, and the professor is very approachable and understanding. Using TopHat is a bit of an extra cost, but it's a helpful platform. unstuck ai was a great study tool alongside the class materials.

I cannot describe how amazing both SOC270 and Professor E are. He made me really love sociology, and the textbook was interesting and digestible While attendance is mandatory, as long as you put in effort to critically think, you'll do well. Also, by far the MOST caring professor I have ever met. You won't want to miss his classes.

I'm late to this, but this is an easy teacher to take. You just have to answer questions in the textbook using TopHat and do the final project. The content is digestible.

Professor E almost had me changing my major to Sociology. He is so fun, engaging, encouraging and has a great sense of humor. Professor E also made sure you knew what was going on for campus life.

I took professor E's soc 101 class spring quarter. He is the best professor ive encountered at bellevue college. His lectures are always engaging, he makes a point of being there for every student who needs it, assignment expectations are clearly communicated, and he cares about learning more than anything, so assignments dont have to be perfect.
