I took this teacher for both College Algebra and Fundamentals of Math and he is great. He is a combination of learning and easy. I don't know how this teacher makes Math so easy and yet actually makes you learn and believe me he's laid back but he makes you LEARN .So gREat TEacher. He doesn't try to be funny, he IS funny. His lectures are crystal clear and his exams are over what you learned. No surprises on the exams what so over. Everyone I know passed his class. You would have to be a real loser not to pass.

Took him for Statistics in summer of 08 and was pretty psych and nervous of the subject and failing at first. He made it go by fast and easy and I got an A. Highly recommend him in any subject. I highly recommend this instructor I personally don't like math and am not good in math but he made it eassy. The reviews are similiar to the exams-- eassy to understand, hes funny, and very helpful

He is an awesome Professor. I recommend anyone to take his class. I enjoyed his class very much, makes class very interesting. Mr. Garcia is very understandable, gives chapter quizzes, but will let you know in advance what chapter's to study. He also likes for everyone to participate while he lectures so be sure and read your assigned chapter's.

Amazing teacher. I havent taken math in over 11 years and passed his class. His teaching skills are awesome and actually teaches you so that you can learn and comprehend the subject. this prof is a sweetheart! very nice and patient gives many examples! I took math 80 3 times math 85 and 90 and i got an A in his class and learned more than in all 3 classes. Great teacher, as long as you review his information and don't miss any test sessions you will do very well. You do have to make sure you understand the material but not at 100%. He is extremely helpfull and will work with you. I took him online and it was great. I highly recommend him.

i soooo loved his teaching skills. He makes sure you understand the material before moving forward. Reviews the study guide before the exam and is extremely helpful. Got an A in his class.

Garcia is cool, made college algebra a breeze, and I did learn. I got a B, but I missed like ten days. It is a definite A if you study a little, also lets you take the test with reviews and notes, so write everything he writes. He is also very entertaining, never a dull moment, I would have gone to class more often if it wasnt at ten.

I hated Math before Mr. Garcia! It was something I could never understand until I took his class. He doesn't teach u anything but what it is that u need to know and by doing this, u don't get confused. He keeps the class entertained & u can use ur reviews during ur test. I passed with an A! Mr. Garcia is former military so he is demanding and some what of a disciplinarian. He makes College Success harder than it should be, and i guess it is a class ment to straighten up slackers and students coming out of High School. In the end his final exam is easy, so if you take him suck it up and finish his class.

Took his online course for Fundamentals of Math I and it was very easy. You take the tests at your own pace and he shows you how to work out the problems through video. There are only 4 exams and the final. Highly recommend this class.

I got to admit this was the best math class I have ever taken so far. Mr Garcia is very good explaining and he does not require you to use a textbook. The only thing you need to get an A is to pay attention in class. I did not pay attention nor was at class some days and still got a B!!!

Best class ever!!!! I live near Harlingen and didn't mind the daily 7 am drive just for this class. Took summer 1 with him and I can't believe I got an A! I suck at math I was in remedial math for years (that's how bad I sucked) but he is awesome, easy to understand and reviewed for every test the day before!! And no textbook needed.

Very easy. Everything, homework, notes, reviews are on blackboard. You do have to attend though to fill in the notes during lecture. He was out twice but he is recovering from a major illness.

Took Mr. Garcia's course Summer II, online. All I can say is he has to be one of the best professors I've taken. I've taken this class in the past and did not do very well, so taking the class again had me very worried. Mr. Garcia gives clear, step by step instructions on how to work out problems. The online class was a breeze since the deadline was the last day of class. You could work on everything on your own pace. Each module consisted of max two quizzes and one exam. Easy class and the professor is accesible if you ever need to contact him with questions on the lectures.

This is a well organized online. All my other online classes required mymathlab. This one does not. The lectures are video recorded. They make all the difference. There are quizzes which you can try several times and exams for each chapter. I have an A in the course. If you're failing, it certainly will be your fault.

Mr. Garcia provides great videos of the lessons. They're the same material he covers in his on campus class. Very easy and straight forward layout. Everything is organized by chapters and extremely organized. I'm not sure who wrote that bad review but I'm sure that person did not actual take this course. Awesome professor
