He follows the book very well, yet he does it in his own words, which makes it more interesting. He's interesting to listen to. The only problem I had was that the midterm had alot more terms than concepts. You have to memorize tons of stuff to do well. Uses power point in a good creative way!
Great class. You can use your book on quizzes and he teaches so everything is very clear. I liked it a lot.
Just go to class and pay attention to lectures. Power Points and tests online, work is spread out over the semester... Study for the exams!! Nice, smart guy, I liked him a lot.
Not very interesting, but the work is doable. His tests are pretty hard, and quite a few assignments, but the work is spred evenly across the semester.
No busy work
I think that his class would have been better if he did a little bit less reading from the power points. Also, I would have enjoyed it a little bit better if he would keep his class better controlled. I think that he would do better if he kept the class more focused on the topic at hand. He uses the book a lot, and all the power points are online.
This is a relatively easy class. Take a quiz on the upcoming chapter each week online, turn in a paper or field experiment every Friday, a few tests, and attend class, that's all that's expected and none of it's hard. Bro. Gee relies on powerpoints, but it's not too bad, it gives me something to copy down. He's a nice guy too.
Brother Gee is great for basic Psych. The main reason is he doesn't BS around. Other friends of mine took Psych 111 from other teachers and they really didn't come out with the basic knowledge the class is supposed to give you. He is really nice and really straightforward. For a lecture class he teaches it the most manageable way possible.
Great teacher who has two qualities that I feel are key to a professor. First, he is ALWAYS PREPARED for his lecture and classes. And second, he loves what he teaches and is good at it. When a teacher comes accross as enjoying what he is doing, the student will too. Highly recommended.
He's such a good guy! He makes all his classes do-able and if you need to talk to him about anything class related, he will always be availabe. He's really funny(unintentionally), but such a good guy. I highly recommend him.
Really great teacher. He loves what he teaches and really knowns his stuff. Not SUPER easy, but, if you study, you can pass.
Very fascinating topics, excellent teacher! I always knew what to expect-he lets you take a page of notes to the test, and he tests on what he lectures. I would very much recommend him! His teaching and the subject is well worth it. My favorite class.
Goofy and nice. Must study alot and take good notes but easy class and he makes it interesting. Open to good class discussion.
I didn't care for this teacher. Lectures were WAY boring & it was dumb cause we had to read 40 pages and then take a test everyweek and then the lectures he had in class were stuff we had already learned the previous week from our readings. It would have been way more useful if he lectured on the same chapter as we were reading the same week.
From what I heard from other students this guy was good and he really is! He has movie clips with certain lessons that help you understand more fully what he is talking about TAKE THIS TEACHER you won't regret it!!! Very easy just a project due weekly and quiz.
Booooorrrrriiiiinnnnngggg!!!!!!!! I struggled to even stay awake during this class. Class was a total waste of time and I learned nothing from it!
He's a very good professor. You do have to read the book quite a lot if you really want to be prepared for the weekly quizzes, but it's interesting stuff and the quizzes are open book. I really enjoyed this class and thought Brother Gee did an excelllent job all-around. Very fair. I'd take another class from him for sure.
he is a great teacher and he is not too hard. he understands his students and lets you participate in class. His tests are what he teaches; so no need to worry about them!
Awesome Professor! He really knows what he's talking about. You have to read the text book for the weekly quizzes, the projects are easy if you listen in class and read, and he has slide shows for all the topics. Slide shows can be pretty monotonous in class, but they are much needed for the tests! you can also see them online.
Absolutely useless class. Very boring man with long-winded lectures that do you no good at all on the exams. He gives weekly quizzes and then lectures on the material, instead of covering it and then quizzing. He has weekly projects that are very vague and then has his TA correct them instead of himself, cheating you on points. Try and avoid Gee.
he knows what he is talking about but when he talks to the students he expects them to know it already and comprehend it as well. he gives stupid quizzes on chapters before we even study the chapter rather than after to see what we understand.
A good teacher - really knows what he is talking about. The class is not hard except that you don't have many things contribute to grade, so be careful! Gee is awesome!
Brother Gee knows his stuff, he explains it clearly and even has a great sense of humor. He grades fare. MAKE SURE TO TAKE NOTES! That is the key to acing his class. He tells you exactly what he wants from you. And is always willing to help you out, especially if you are struggling with something.
Brother Gee is an awesome teacher. There are 10 pt quizzes before class that are open book, online, so it's easy points. For each exam you are allowed to take a page of notes, front and back into the testing center with you, this is SUCH an easy class!
This class is good, but a little on the intense side. Basically, don't ever plan on napping because everything discussed is subject to be tested. Take notes!!! Attend all the classes. He is a good teacher, the class is just given at a fast pace (lots of ground is covered)
Very intelligent professor. Take notes on everything. The material is difficult, but the professor gives you a lot of chances. Good class to take if you're early in your psych career.
He didn't seem to care that much about the class so it was hard to pay attention and keep going. aka, it's easy to fall asleep. He also doesn't really know what he's talking about, because he doesn't care about it. His tests are very objective with questions that have multiple correct answers. They aren't very well written or organized.
I think that Brother Gee is a really good teacher. His class is a little challenging but overall it's not bad. He lets you use notes on the tests and you have quizzes on the chapters but you get to work on them in groups most of the time. I would recommend him!
Good, easy class. Open-note quiz every week. The tests aren't that bad because they're mostly verbatim from the class lectures and you get 1 page, front and back, of notes you can take to the testing center. 500-word projects due by Friday each week. Just don't put those off til the last minute- take it from me. Class is 1.5 hours, but it's not bad
He might be a great pshyc teacher, but he does not know the foundations material. His lectures are incredibly boring, and if you ask him a question, he has to look up the answer (if he gives you one at all).
well we all know foundations blow... he is a crummy teacher of science but that is partly because it isn't his field, his tests suck but if you retain the reading they aren't bad and you get 10 points for coming to class everyday so as long as you don't suck on the tests completely you'll be okay, i'd take it from him again
Bro. Gee rocks. Hands down best Psych teacher on campus. This is my second time taking it and getting an A this time. Make sure you review for his tests and use all the page notes you can bring in for tests. Great guy and explains things clearly and he's funny.
He has interesting enough lectures that are easy to understand, and sometimes funny. You don't need to attend all the time, but he randomly has in class assignments that he docs you 50 points for missing. His 4 exams require a TON of study or you bomb them. Lots of study for this, but if you work hard its a good class.
Great guy, tests are about 35q and 6 essays per test, not to mention the Pop work if you miss can kill your grade, it did mine. Also, there is too much information and we ever knew what to study for so I never did very well. ish he would be more specific as what we needed to know. Be prepd to memorize the book cuz u beter love to read history
Brother Gee is awesome. Great teacher, helps with research, answers questions, nice guy.
Bro. Gee is awesome and very smart If you need help with anything just go talk to him.I was very intimidated by this class at first but it's not bad. He tries really hard to make it interesting and fun. Attend class, take good notes and you'll be fine.
Great teacher! As long as you come to class, take good notes and study you will be fine. I feel like I have learned so much and Brother Gee is super nice. Just be upfront and honest with him if you have any problems or issues and he will do his best to help you!
Bro. Gee is awesome! Lots of work, we read the entire textbook and had open book quizzes before each class. Class was kind of boring sometimes, but that was the subject matter, not Brother Gee. We were allowed one page of notes on all tests and the tests were in class.
Not very clear, quizzes every day on very obscure stuff from the book. Very confusing teacher; tests and lectures just didn't match up. Very boring, and be prepared for TONS of reading.
Brother Gee is a fantastic instructor. He is always willing to help you outside of class. His courses do typically involve a lot of reading, but it is all relevant and interesting material. If you attend class and take good notes you will learn a ton and be competent in the material. I've taken his 311 and 378 courses.
He is amazing. He is funny with out trying to be. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He lays everything out where you can easily understand it. He knows his stuff and loves it. He is intelligent and helpful without patronizing or being condesending. He is sooo helpful. The class is a workload but work hard and you will love it and him
He's a great teacher! It's already been said that he's funny without trying, and I second that. He makes the material a lot easier to understand. Good class, just LOTS of reading. I can't believe how long those stupid chapters are!!! I can only stay interested for so long...
Brother Gee is a good teacher! Daily powerpoints can be a bit dull, but he mixes it up with activities and videos. All quizzes are open note and a page of notes are allowed for the tests(including the final!). He is understanding and helpful. The class really isn't hard. Go to class, take notes, do the homework and you'll get an A.
If you can, try to avoid taking a class from him. He is a great person, but his quizzes every day and exams are so difficult and hard to study for. I will study and read the chapter 2 times but get a 60% on the quiz every time. He teaches the boring psych classes, so im sure that makes him seem even worse
Bro Gee is an amazing teacher. I really enjoyed the two classes that I took from him. He is known for really caring about his students. His classes are challenging and fair. He is careful to throw out any test item that didn't accurately discriminate. I would recommend him over and over again.
I really respect Brother Gee. He has a good knowledge of the subject, but also admits when he doesn't know something. No matter what anyone says, his tests are very fair! When you score low, you walk away knowing it wasn't the tests fault. I recommend him for any class.
Brother Gee is very intelligent. At first I thought he was very monotone, but once you give him a chance his class becomes very interesting. I am always surprised by his knowledge; he seems to know everything about psychology! I enjoyed his class and do recommend it.
great professor he loves the material he teaches and really knows his stuff. If you put in the effort you can get good grades in his classes. You have daily quizzes so do the reading and you'll be fine. You get to bring in a whole sheet of paper to do the tests so if you write small enough you can essentially have the answer to every question.
Not an easy teacher, but a very helpful one. You will learn a lot in any of his classes. Great teacher
He was a good teacher. His lectures are really good. He's seems a bit nerdy but sometimes he has funny jokes. If you take good notes and actually read the textbook, you'll do well.
Good professor, but hard and confusing depending on your understanding.
Brother Gee is awesome! He is very clear in the way he teaches and what he is teaching you (he uses PPTs for almost every lecture so it gets repetitive but rarely boring). There are daily quizzes but they aren't hard at all, just read the chapter beforehand and study up really quick right before class and you'll usually get an 80-100%.
Brother Gee was really funny and understanding his lectures was very easy. A lot of note taking is required and 1-2 hours of reading from the textbook with questions to go along with it. I never felt like the homework was overwhelming and his lectures made it all worth it. Definitely would recommend Brother Gee
Brother Gee was super understanding and great to work with, i enjoyed his class even though the material was often time very dry. I liked that even though his tests are hard aka well put together, he had many other assignment to learn and improve grades. overall i found him to be be very good and would take his class again.
Brother Gee has mastered the art of test construction. The items on his tests are very clear and are not tricky. His lectures are great and you are not going to want to miss them because there is a lot of material to cover! He tries to make them fun by sharing funny stories and playing videos. I highly recommend taking his class.
Bro. Gee is truly an outstanding lecturer. He can make the less interesting parts of class a lot more interesting. He has a really unique style and I found him to be really funny. His tests are fair. The group project seems like it will be tough but it is actually very easy and pretty fun. There is daily quizzes over the reading but they are easy.
Loved the class, can be dry but is essential to the field.
His first time teaching Lit, and it was great. You do need to read the 6 books and there are quizzes, but they are manageable. He offers good insights with his psychology background, and really cares about students.
Lots of reading. He doesn't seem to care about you though.
Great professor. Humor is dry, but he makes a good effort. Granted, it is hard to make the information interesting, especially when many students aren't going into data collection and analysis. Overall great guy.
I really enjoyed Bro. Gee's class. He's very intelligent, nice, clear, and organized. Definitely go to class and do the readings. The class isn't too difficult if you keep up.
He was great! All of his lectures were very clear. You can tell he has extensive knowledge and therefore made learning from him interesting and completely attainable. His exams were very fair and set up and graded well. I loved this class!
When I started the semester I was doubtful about how much I would enjoy Brother Gee's teaching style, but as the semester progressed I realized that he was a fantastic teacher who loved reading great books himself. He was funny and engaging and kind the students of his class. Though he is a psychology teacher normally, he does a great job.
I love Brother Gee! His lessons are always very interesting, engaging, and easy to follow. He is easy to talk to and is willing to help you if you reach out to him. As long as you do most of the reading, do the weekly reports, and do well on the quizzes, you'll be fine. Brother Gee is very kind and patient. I have really enjoyed this class from him
Bro. Gee is AMAZING! He is my favorite professor this semester! There are weekly field reports, that are pretty easy. 3 exams, you get a page of handwritten notes to use on the exam. The exams are based off of what he says in class so if you skip class you'll miss a lot of important info. His lectures are great, and engaging.
I loved Brother Gee's psychology class. He doesn't take attendance, but going to class really helps you on the tests. His lectures are super interesting and he posts all of the power points he teaches from online for your to study. There are field reports due every week besides the weeks with a test but they are interesting and easy. He's the best!
I'm an English major so this was right up my alley. He chose really great books that I would have otherwise not read. Among them were Nathaniel Hawthorne short stories, Persuasion, All quiet on the western front, and hard times. I never felt that the reading was unreasonable just be ready for pop quizzes on the reading.
You are only tested on information from the lectures not the book. So you have to go to class in order to do well on exams. He does allow one page of notes on all exams.
Bro. Gee is the most structured professor I have come by. Each class is organized and begins with a quiz (that you need to be present in class for) and at the end of class he has you flip the quiz over and fill out what you may not have understood on that day's material. He is available and offers unique hours to accommodate to your schedule.
Brother Gee is a good teacher. You read a lot in preparation to complete quizzes but they are open book and open note. You are graded on these quizzes, on a weekly field report, and then 3 tests. The tests are not too bad because you get a page of notes. The tests are based on the lectures that is why if you don't go to class you probably wont pass
Brother Gee is a great professor. If you study and do your readings, you will pass the class.
Brother Gee is a good teacher, but there is a ton of reading for this class, and lots of homework.
I actually liked his class. He is funny and his lectures have cool stuff in it. You get a page of notes for each test, and he posts the lectures you need to know for the tests on canvas for you to go through. His quizzes are based on the book, the exams on the lectures. Because of this, it's important to go to class so you understand.
All of his lectures were based on the reading the night before, so if you don't want to go to class, you can just learn the material yourself which is nice sometimes. We got a full page of notes to use on the exams. Assignments include: Short essay responses (250 words), quizzes on the readings (open notes, including textbook). Very easy class.
This class with Brother Gee is super chill, you get a full page of handwritten notes for each test, including the final. Prep quizzes can be tricky sometimes, but usually the answers are pretty clear from the reading. Tests are from the lectures so if he doesn't talk about it in class, it doesn't show up on tests. Reading is just for prep.
Took the remote class. He was a very understanding professor and will take the time to explain material clearly. The tests are based on lectures. He also applies stories into the lecture. Would take again!
Brother Gee is one of my favorite professors! He is so nice and is willing to work with you. He was really fast at responding to my emails too! The tests were open book and open note(not sure if that was just bc of COVID tho). He also dropped the lowest quiz and field report! Super great guy, and a pretty easy class.
Not very interactive with his classroom. Would sit and talk for an hour. Gave 30 question quizzes over 1 chapter with 12 long sub sections every week. Exams were difficult. Very hard B*
There is a lot of reading. The online textbook was expensive and necessary. But the lectures are absolutely amazing. He keeps everyone engaged. He also gives you a break in the middle of class. There are some exams that are a big part of your grade. You have to take good notes and study those. It's hard, but do the work and you'll be fine.
He's a solid choice. Quiz every Saturday and a report project every Friday, but neither is difficult. The tough thing with him is that the quizzes are based on the textbook, but his classes aren't and the exam isn't really so you spend a lot of time reading the textbook for not a whole lot. Exams are open book but they are pretty hard.
talks too fast and monologues during class. Doesn't use any whiteboard or anything so its really hard to write down all he says. The class is graded on weekly reading quizzes and 3 major tests. to pass the test you need to have been in class so its really frustrating when the teacher talks to fast for one to even write it down.
His classes are usually focused heavily on his lectures. If you don't pay attention to them, you will struggle with tests. Luckily, his lectures are pretty easy to understand as long as you pay attention. He has you do "Filed Reports" (projects) every week. As long as you stay on top of things you'll do fine in his class. Pretty swell guy.
He is a great, Definitely a lecturer, but altogether a good professor.
Brother Gee has one of the most densely packed courses I've ever taken. He has new information for the entire lecture. But, you have to pay attention because he tests heavily on lectures. His class taught me way more than I expected, it was amazing how much detail and effort he put into the lectures. He's only difficult because he talks really fast
Professor Gee is a very good teacher. He is very good at giving his sources or saying that something is his opinion and should be treated merely as opinion. While attendance is not required, it is highly suggested since there are participation points awarded randomly. There is a final project that is tough, but the most valuable part of the class.
Brother Gee gives great lectures and you know exactly what he expects. There are weekly papers but nothing to crazy. His testing is interesting so pay attention in class and take good notes. Hes got a great sense of humor so class is easy to attend.
This class was not too hard since all the tests are open notes. However, the tests are based on lectures that he records but does not post on canvas. His lectures do not have very much on the PowerPoint so you have to listen and take really good notes. Even though the tests are based on in class material you still have to read the textbook.
Took his general psych class via Zoom. Taking notes was tough!! He taught with PowerPoint but each slide was pretty much just a title that he would then lecture on for awhile...I never knew what was important to know and what to write down. His class is not for visual learners!
I really liked brother Gee! His class was very engaging and I genuinely learned a lot. He often included video examples of what he was talking about which was interesting. He answered every question, even the silly ones, and I feel like he really cared about us learning the material. The quizzes and tests were open note- though study! Great prof!
Brother Gee does a lecture every day in class, however, he does make them interesting. He adds video clips in to help you understand better. All of the exams (4) are based off of the lectures he gives. The slides don't say much but he explains things very clearly and will answer literally any question anyone asks which is cool.
The textbook is online and you read one chapter a week and take a quiz (very easy). You have a field report outside of class once a week. Every three weeks (ish) you have an exam. His exams are open note and not timed. At first I thought he was going to be boring, but I realized throughout the semester that he is hilarious. I learned a lot.
Bro. Gee is such an awesome professor. He teaches really clearly and does a lot of application-based work in his class to really help you grasp the material. Note that a lot of learning comes from the lectures so if you skip class you'll get behind. Overall a really great class - one of my favorites that I've ever taken at BYU-I!
He is so funny, but he puts up with no crap. One of my favorite teachers and he explains the material well. Don't make up excuses and do the work. If you don't attend the lectures, you wont pass the class. Most of the tests revolve around the lectures. (Take good notes) The textbook is also online. Super good, highly recommend the class.
Brother Gee makes it very clear that he puts up with no excuses. His powerpoints have minimal information on them, so you have to take solid notes on what he is saying. The exams are open-note, but because of that they're tricky.
brother gee is very good at explaining the martial when there is a question, he will answer it well or he will come back to it. he is intimidating at first, but he is really kind and understanding. tip: he doesn't like it when you are on technology during his lecture so bring a notebook and pencil.
Welcomes questions and is happy to review anything you don't understand. He really just wants everyone to understand the material. Tests are based mostly on lectures so go to class. All tests are open note/open book so take good/organized notes! He jokes during lectures and tries to give you points wherever he can. Just show up and do the work!
He's a great professor, but I don't like his teaching style. If you don't write down everything he says, you won't pass the tests. And even if you do that, there is a chance that you still wont pass because the tests are so hard. They are open book and open note, but they are the hardest tests I have ever taken. He is very nice and funny in class.
Professor Gee tests on lectures, so be prepared to take detailed notes. He also provides the powerpoints and the tests are open book, but do NOT rely on those resources as a crutch without notes. This is a class about psychological assessment, and so the tests are hard. Overall learned a lot in this class, maybe this will appear on a slide someday.
I love Dr. Gee! He's really good at explaining things and answering questions. The class material is super interesting and he knows a lot about it! I'd take this class again if I could! He's very kind and helpful and wants you to succeed. You'll have to approach him first, but once you do, he's very easy to talk to.
Super funny and I genuinely enjoyed going to his class!
A very B+ professor. His lectures were easy to pay attention to, he includes stories. Same routine each week, which makes it really easy to plan around. Nothing too hard if you plan your week. You have to read a chapter a and complete a field report each week. And every other other week an open book/note exam. Doesn't like electronic note taking.
One of the more boring psych classes. However, Brother Gee is delightfully dry. I have to agree that his tests are a little over the top, but this is the man's craft. You wouldn't expect Gordon Ramsey to serve hot pockets, so you shouldn't expect easy half baked tests.
Brother Gee was one of my favorite teachers. Every week, you'll need to read a chapter of the textbook and get quizzed (one word: quizlet). The field reports are easy and he's an easy grader. As dry as he can be, there's a certain charm to him that made me enjoy going to class.
Great professor, very caring and understanding. Makes material engaging and prepares us for success.
I absolutely loved Brother Gee! His lectures are long but they are full of interesting information and facts. The homework load isn't difficult, mostly consisting of textbook reading. I would highly recommend taking classes from Brother Gee. (He also has an amazing dry/sarcastic sense of humor, which I appreciate).
Brother Gee is awesome! Tests are based solely on lectures, so TAKE DETAILED NOTES. The textbook is online and affordable, and there is a chapter quiz and report due every Saturday night. Most things are open book, but you'll struggle if your notes aren't packed with info. Bro Gee is kind and super knowledgeable!
Gee has extremely tough tests. Without a tutor, I averaged at a 75 on the tests. ATTEND CLASS or DONT PASS. every day is a lecture and notes are the only thing that keeps you afloat on tests. Tests are open note/book, but the book isn't helpful. Use quizlet for the quizzes and use your roommates for the field reports.
His lectures are really good and very interesting, but the exams are quite hard. He doesn't offer extra credit, and the cut-off of the A- is 94%...? Really nice guy, but didn't love his way of testing us.
Bro Gee is AMAZING. His lectures are interesting and he is funny. Exams are all from the lectures so take good notes and you're golden. There is a paper/project due every other week but its not bad at all and can be fun! He answers questions well and keeps you engaged during lectures.
Very planned routine in his class. You will get your lecture including stories in between which would be nice. He does tend to go a little fast. But that's not a big problem.
Bro Gee was pretty chill, but unfortunately this class was really hard for me to sit through. He can be funny at times, but he's kinda monotone and the class drags. Pretty easy class and I would've gotten an A if I did all the hmk. Exams are open book open note, so take really good notes and don't miss class- they're based off his lectures.
Amazing teacher. Must be there to get an A in the class as the tests are lecture-based. Tests are harder than expected but come to class and you will be fine. Two assignments every week besides testing week. One quiz and one project, both are easy assignments. Hilarious teacher, I felt like I learned so much from him!
Brother Gee is very passionate about psychology. With that being said, the class is all lecture. I dread attending his class because I struggle to sit still and there are absolutely no interactive activities. I do have ADHD and one of the disability accommodations I receive is getting to refer to his notes and slides which he is very good about.
Do not recommend Brother Gee to anyone. His exams are very hard and he does not offer any extra credit or any help to bring your grade back up if it is struggling.
All the exams for his course are open-book/ open-note. But because they are, they are extremely hard exams. There are field reports and chapter quizzes due every week. The field reports are tedious and deal with the most ridiculous tasks. He does not offer any extra credit and will not raise your grade for any reason.
Although attendance isn't mandatory, all exams are based on the lectures, so if you skip and don't have someone taking notes for you, you probably won't do very well in the class. You won't want to skip, though, because the lectures are super interesting. Brother Gee is great at explaining things and answering whatever questions come up in class.
Be prepared to read a lot of the textbook and make sure to take the best notes possible. Majority of the tests I would say come from the lectures alone so attendance is mandatory. He is overall a good professor and he does crack a good joke from time to time.
Brother Gee is a thoughtful and fair teacher. He doesn't offer extra credit, but if you do all the homework you'll at least get a C. You can't really fail unless you just straight up don't do most of the assignments. The field reports aren't hard if you read the example ones and ask questions. Read the syllabus too!
He was very accommodating.
I took this class just over a year ago and I really enjoyed Brother Gee's class. He always kept it interesting and I liked the way he did tests, it helped me remember the material so much better! Plus I met my husband in this class so that's a plus!
This class is pretty straightforward. Go to lecture do the homework take the tests. Tests are open note so super easy. Homeworks all have examples so also super easy. Lecture is interesting sometimes but even when its not its not boring. Brother Gee is great to take from to learn and get a good grade.
Brother Gee is a good professor. I think he does really well for how dense the subject of the class is. The exams are open note, but I would still prepare by studying your notes and the power points at least a few weeks in advance and attending class as much as possible. The class is light on homework and heavy on lecture which I prefer.
Professor Gee is a really smart man, who does a really good job at explaining the information you need to know. This class can be confusing, and at times slightly boring, but Professor Gee does a good job getting you through it all. He holds you to a high standard, but will provide accommodations when needed.
He is the most NPC type person I have ever met. If you asked him a question he just rehearsed whatever he had just said about the slide.
As a person I thought he was super nice, but as a professor he was ok. He is super accommodating and super good at responding, however his lectures could get slightly boring because he's pretty monotone and doesn't engage with the students a whole lot.
Bro Gee is great! He is funny, understanding and does not give busy work. Tests are based on his lectures and he does mandatory "labs" on Fridays to help us understand the material and are helpful. I feel like he is a fair grader, cares about his students and is willing to work with you as long as you communicate with him.
Brother Gee's PSY111 class is straightforward but engaging. The open-note exams are challenging, but the course material is interesting if you regularly attend lectures and read the textbook. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for exam prep.
Brother Gee is a good teacher and wants to help his students. He does have a very monotone voice so if you're tired, it can be very difficult to stay awake. I didn't feel like he clearly guided students to know what would be on the test, though he does have some resources.
Prof. Gee is a great professor! He is a bit monotone so if you tend to fall asleep in class be warned. Tests are based on lecture so make sure you go to class and take good notes. He posts study guides to fill out before tests which are pretty helpful and he seems to genuinely care for his students (even though he may seem a bit awkward).
Psych assessment with Brother Gee sounded like it was going to be insanely boring, but I actually found it helpful and enjoyable. Brother Gee is pretty funny and personable too. The class is very straightforward and he lets you bring notes to the exams. I wish he let us pick our groups though lol.
Brother Gee is a hard professor for Psych.
Easily one of the best Psychology professors on campus. Not only is he very funny, but he also explains things so well that as long as you attend class, listen to his lectures, and take some notes, you'll easily pass the class. The way he explains things works so well with my brain. 100000% recommend.
Brother Gee defiantly knows his stuff but this class was extremely hard for me, I attended every single class, took notes with pen and paper as he asked, and studied extensively for the 4 exams but i only got a C. Exams are closed note & proctored and I got around a 65% on each one. This class is very lecture heavy and very low class interaction.
This was a great class! Bro Gee explains things pretty clearly so as long as you take thorough notes and listen in class it's pretty easy to pick up on what's being said. Attendance isn't mandatory but there are pop quizzes on random days and missing a class period is hard if you don't have someone else's notes to reference. No textbook required!
Super lecture heavy, but I enjoy his style. Attendance is mandatory for labs (about once a week) but they're also the easiest labs ever. There are two exams and two big projects that will make your grade. They were relatively easy for me but I know a lot of classmates felt differently. If you want an easy A this isn't it, but it's not a bad class.
Brother Gee is a wonderful person who makes class enjoyable. He cares about his students and has a fun sense of humor. He is very blunt and straightforward, which I truly appreciate. The exams are tough, but there are assignments that helped me to bring my grade up. Overall, I love any class taught by Brother Gee.
I never wanted to take psychology but this man really made me love it and it never felt like too much but also like I was getting things done. Observing my friends classes I really hit the jackpot with him.
I wish I could get this man on the Calm app, to talk about testing until I pass out. In all sincerity, Brother Gee is exceptional. Driest humor on-campus, very intelligent, willing to work with you, patient, he is an A-tier professor. Very hard and demanding work, however. Picks good tutors, though,.
I loved personality from Brother Gee. Be aware of pop quizzes/assignments. He is really good at lecturing and explaining the material. He's super funny and really knows the subject of psychology well. Would definitely take again.
Brother Gee is very informative and hilarious. You can skip the readings entirely and still pass, as the test content is covered in lecture. Don't skip class, as there are PLE's (pop learning experiences) from time to time, which can impact your grade. Notes are allowed on the exam, so take thorough notes (the slides don't cover much information).
Bro Gee is a good professor, he can definitely be monotone, but he knows his stuff and is willing to help you if you ask. Make sure you take good notes from his lectures also. If you do good on the online quizes (psych111) and do mid on the tests, you'll probably still get an A.
Brother Gee is a great professor and great person, but his classes have been some of the hardest that I've taken in college. Be prepared if you take classes from him.
Brother Gee teaches clearly and is good at explaining concepts. He also gives you a lot of hands on experience with what you are learning. 10/10 would reccomend.
You need to really pay attention to the lectures. Anything he says could show up on the exam. Exams have great study guides and are not cumulative. He has a great dry sense of humor and always shares personal experiences.
