Had him 10 years ago. Found him challenging, which was good, but he had some cultural baggage/insecurity that he'd take out on his class, and responded venomously to any suggestion that his white male students were anything other than **** oppressors. Seems to know his stuff if you can bear his insufferable and noxious personality.

Probably the worst professor on campus. He tends to look down at his students. The study guide will have nothing to do with the actual tests or quizzes. I feel that he enjoys failing his students & he has the tendency to put some of his students down. He even puts his assistants down. Would not recommend, unless you are trying to fail or stress out

Hardest professor I've taken at this school. Heard bad things about him but took the chance to see for myself. Super rude and condescending to students, if you ask him something, "Were you not listening? I wont repeat myself." Lots of side readings that don't get covered in class that ARE on tests. Run the other way. Fast. You WILL regret the class

Dr. Kohatsu plays zero games! Pay attention to his lectures and read everything. Missing one lecture can cost you big time. He comes off as intimidating, but is very accommodating to those that actively participate. Pro tip: record the lectures on your phone and review them later to get notes and help with test taking.

His lectures didn't have structure, didn't accomodate for online learning (lacked visuals like powerpoints and said no when we asked for them), got angry when we asked questions, had a last minute project that didn't make sense, gave a bunch of reading to do, overall most stressful professor I've had.
