2 EASY exams & attendance, watch plays, funny guy.
a very funny professor!
totally easy! multiple choice midterm and final. no essays. requires 10 attendances throughout semester. watch plays/shows. krebs is a bit interesting.
One of the most enjoyable classes at Baruch.
Funny Dude...
The best class in Baruch!!
wounderful professor. the best!!
A wonderful man who knows how to inspire and express his thoughts fully. A great class to take, very fun!
He was cool and easy. Likes to share a little too much with the class. Good enough teacher.
He is great, explains well and does his best to make sure all his students pass. He is amazing producer and totally keeps his audience attention. His plays are great too. Thanks for inspiring me to minor in Theatre.
take him! lol
This professor is amazing..All I can say is just take him, you wont regret it!!!
Really great class and instead of spending money on text books we use it to see great Broadways shows. Get Exposed to Theatre I bet you'll enjoy it.
Theater w/ krebs is better than music or art w/ n e oneelse. Exam is the easiest, even if you don't pay attention, besides he curves like crazy. He is funny also, you won't get bored in class.
The best teacher ever and his test are juss base on the lecture during the classes. If anyone can record or video type the lecture, you will 100% get an A on his class. even if you dont do it, base on the notes you will get an easy A on his classes.
Whatever class you take with him its gonna be easy, sometimes boring and sometimes exciting. He takes attendance 10 times a semester each time your present on it is 1 point for your final grade. 2 easy papers that he grades really easily, and 2 easy tests
umm, i never took notes, never paid attention ..never did anything! but still got a C+. it was my fault, i could have gotten an A, but i was too lazy to take notes..and there was no text book, so i had nothing to study from-
I found the class boring, thats why i stopped going after the first couple of times, just get someone to sign you in. IMPOSSIBLE to pass the test w/o taking notes...UNLESS you cheat, which is very very easy in his class!
Intro to Theatre. Very fun class with Krebs teaching it. Very hard to fail his class. You get to see broadway shows and other exciting stuff in class. There is a $100 class fee though, you pay this fee and you get to see about 6 shows. IMO, Worth it!
he's easy! its impossible not to pass
He is very entertaining and knowledgable in theater. He clowns around in class to demonstrate things. Take him, take him, take him. You will be richer for the $100 you spend on this class.
amazing teacher
The first test wasn't as easy as I thought. But he curved, so I got an A. Don't forget to take notes. There's now way out without notes.
EASY! as long as you pass the test and take notes in class its an easy A.
Lets put it this way, if you fail this class you must be pretty dumb!!!!!!!!
He is the best professor I have ever had, he makes the class fun and interesting. If you need to take this class, take it with Prof. Krebs!! he will change your view on life in a wonderful way :)
Fun class to have, great shows to go to. Highly recommended.
Very fun and enjoyable class. Does get a little boring at time, but majority of the times its VERY interesting. Has got me into broadway when I wasn't into it at all before. No book to buy, just $100 fee for cool broadway show tickets. Well worth it.
Its a real easy C class without even showing up if you show up half the time its a definate B and if you take notes and actually pay attention its a definate A. take the class its a pretty easy grade and its the test are soo easy.
Knowin him he gave himself the pepper! he thinks hes hott like that. his tests are HARD. I showed up to every class and took notes studied and still thought the tests were hard. extra credit. attendance taken 10 times - 2 pts each. Easy B+ & ^
REALLY EASY CLASS!!!
Fun Fun Fun!!!! and did i mention easy A? ;D
boring. 2 exams make it or break it. exams are hard and you will get unexpected grades even if you study hard
You HAVE to take notes to do well since there is no textbook. The best part of it, isn't really the class, it's seeing the performances in class, and the shows you paid for (and there were plenty free ones to see too)
Great class. Don't have to do anything. Just go to the shows (sometimes a great ones) and work as a team on the test, cause if u don't cheat, it's very hard to do well.
Trust me, this guy isn't as easy as it appears. It's easy to cheat in his class! Most days you don't have to go to his class, but ya gotta know WHEN TO GO! His tests are related on the material he teaches in class. DONT" WASTE the 100 BUCKS for the p
He's a great teacher. He gets tckts for great shows and gives you a chance to go to his theater for free! for xtra credit! Just come to class, listen, study, have fun and get an A. He's funny in his quirky way too. Best class ever!!

thought it was gonna be easy A but more like easy B he's chill he's aite nice guy tried to bribe him for the final but didn't work lol
he is easy as anna nicole
nice guy, really kool. midterm was harder then expected. so far got a C on midterm, but gives extra credit and u need to take notes. pretty bummed about grade was expecting to get an easy "A" - but not that easy!
the exam is so hard
No Comments
Huge class, nobody pays attention. Long exam, but he curves. Your grade depends on what everyone else got. Checks attendance once & a while for part of your grade.
He loves the theater, his exams are difficult but he curves hard and you can still get an A even if you really get a 70% on his exams.
he's passionate about theatre
His class only takes attendence 10 times, and you pay 100 to go to some nice broadway and off broadway shows. His a great professor and he lectures on and on about things but you can easily steal someones notes and pass the class. Now if you want to get A's then its tricky cause his test are tricky
you get to see cool plays for really cheap. nice guy, tricky exam but he gives opportunities for extra credit. big class... if you're serious and actually wanna learn you better sit up front because students in back are irritating, loud, and obnoxious.
I would take this professor a million times again. The class is very boring but is easy, just come to class and take notes you will do fine. The tests are a little hard but you can make it up with extra credit. By the way you have a nice experience because you have to go and see broadway shows. ;)
I WOULDNT SAY HE IS BAD BUT I DUNNOO ITS LIKE WASTAGE OF 100$ IF U GOING TO HIS CLASS THE SHOWS THAT HE RECOMMENDS BY UR $ DONT WORTH IT..THE LECTURES R TOO LONG AND HISTORICAL AND BORING THAT U RATHER SLEEP INSTEAD OF LISTENNING THEM AND THATS WHAT MAKES THE FINAL AND MIDTERMS HARD.
NAP TIME.... you can sleep through the entire class. Whatever he lectures about isnt useful. Going to the shows was actually fun. Everyone should be able to pass this class with at least a B.
In class he seems funny and helpful, but if you try to talk to him after class he's too busy to give you a second, and a little rude. Dont take this class if you hate obnoxious students talking all around you for the whole period. Also, strangely homophobic for a theatre producer.. i mean, c'mon.
The class is boring because he tries to graze the subjects that should be studies in depth. But very easy, don't have to do anything, tests are easy and he curves. Going to the shows was fun, but the seats he got us were bad. If you need an art course to fulfill the core requirement, take this one.
As far as having to teach 300 students at one time, this guy is pretty good. Smart guy, and he really likes his job. Lectures can get boring, and he doesnt really specify what will be on the tests. Overall, he's probably the best teacher you can find for this class
Not bad at all! Very funny and encouraging professor. Bring eveyone's attention in the class.
I loved him. Very interestig and funny. He got my full attention. He did his best to make boring lectures very accesible for every student. Highly recomend.
slept in his class, still did well. got part of notes down half asleep, the other half, get it online. test were hard, but dun worry, the grade depends on class avg..
Very nice class, I sleept and did other work, took some notes and got a A. Sometimes interesting sometimes not, but easy.
THIS PROFESSOR WAS REALLY INTO THE TOPIC. I LIKED THE FACT THAT HE WAS SO PASSIONATE ABOUT THE THEATER. GOING TO THE SHOWS WAS ALSO A PLUS BUT THE CLASS IS NOT AN EASY A UNLESS YOU TAKE GOOD NOTES AND/OR PAY ATTENTION. HIS TESTS CAN BE TRICKY
$100 class fee was well worth it. I saw a few good plays. Professor is a sweetheart. If you really want an A you have to either stay awake in class & pay attention or submit tickets from the extracurricular shows you've attended. Like 5 of them. That can easily push your B- to an A. & he curves.
don't count on the class being an easy A. i'm sure the process of trying to get it sounds easy, but beware. in a class of 300 mixed with BORING lectures, the greatest challenge is to stay awake and try to put effort. embarassed enough,i got a really low grade for this easiest course i have ever taken
Be ready to sit in a lecture hall among 300 kids (literally) that still act like they're in high school. Take lots of notes as you will need it for the midterm and final (not as easy as you think). No hw/text book. Must have $100 ready for theatre tks (well worth the cost). Do not cut his lectures.
This class is boring. You have to take a lot of notes. It is not easy to get a high test grade in his class. The questions on the exam are tricky. But, he curved ALOT. But overall he is a nice professor and he really likes theatre.
GREAT CLASS! "hands on experiance" loves what he does!!! I LOVED IT!!!!!
This class is very easy. Who doesn't get an A in this class shouldn't be in college at all. All the questions on the exam are common sense. He reviews every and says what he said the prior lecture. This class is worth the time and money. You'll learn a lot from him and his experiences. He's funny to
he is very homophobic and wants to leave the class as soon as possible. his lectures are VERY boring. his tests are hard because its hard to listen to him in class.
It's a huge class so you can pretty much do whatever you want. I didn't really listen and take notes in the class and I did OK on the midterm and final, but I got a lot of extra credit points for the shows. Do that, and you'll be fine and won't have to worry about your grade. It's a fun class, really easy and he's nice, too. Highly recommended.
Very easy class, u just show up and try to take notes and you are good. lots of times i fell asleep. There is a $100 dollar course fee and it is used to the max. What can i say, its a GPA booster, he is a great prof. Make sure you go to the shows and extra- credit shows because trust me they do come in handy at the end. I definately recommend him.
This class is a lot of fun! You go to shows and learn about theater...its interesting! Do the extra credit b/c the exams are not that easy. If you do the extra credit it adds a lot to your final grade! Definitly take this class!
Very unuseful! Totally waste of time! He forces students to pay a $100 course fee for attending shows. The tests are full of wiered and unclear questions. After you take the test, everything is gone from yout memory; you have to memorize boring stuf mechanically. A waste of money and time.
He definetely knows his theatre. Excellent professor, but tries to force something you couldn't care less about on you! Tries to get you as passionate as he is about theatre, but excellent overall. Easiest A ever! Take this class when you're burdened with the pressure of more important classes
He's a really nice professor. He gives you chances to boost your grade. He will not make you suffer from too much stress and lack of sleep.
Good professor, but HARD! Make sure you take really good notes! Only two exams, so must do well... grades on bell curve... very strange man- has "mild case of ADD" amongst other issues- likes to talk about himself. You will get sick of being forced to watch crappy theatrical productions he makes you go to, other than that, try not to fall asleep!
He's a REALLLLLLY EASYYYYY teacher. I'm a moron and didn't pay ANY ATTENTION, and I still got a B. If you put in a little bit of effort you'll get an A. I really screwed up there. TAKE THIS MAN!!! He knows what he's talking about.
Good professor, get to go to the shows for $100 total plus free shows sometimes. Care for students, makes you think on exams but entertaining during lectures.
bo-ring. condescending.. easy class.
He is very experienced in the theater industry, so he definately knows what he's talking about. I had a great time in his class... easy breezy A. But if you are not interested in theater whatsoever then you may think this professor is asking to much and is boring.
best class ever. i don't know what you people are talking about...i have not taken any notes, i sleep, or watch dvds during that class..i just took the midterm last week and it was sooo easy. yes, i had to guess on a couple of questions, but other than that its sooo common sense. the shows are pretty cool too, most of them. he's also a great guy.
amazing teacher! easy class
make sure to go to all classes. has 10 attendence days per semester. nice, personable guy.
This class is an easy A. The teacher is fun and nice to talk to. The performance he brings to our class and the plays are a great experience plus there's no textbook YAY!!! All you have to do see plays, take notes, and come to class when its attendance day and its the easiest A possible
the class is boring.. u will fall asleep but the shows are nice if u go to them (i didnt go to 3 of them) the tests are kinda tricky but does give a curve but it only helps people who did poorly on the exams. you shouldn't get less than a C but it is very hard to get that A. I would reccomend taking Art if you are going for an A.
Krebs is a nice guy, but it's very easy for your grade to slip in this class. Do attend classes and try not to sleep in class because you'll end up getting at least a C in this class.
THE EASIEST CLASS IN BARUCH. If you want to get an A just attend EVERY CLASS, take some minimal notes or just listen to him. Midterm will be easy mostly common sense. You do however have to study for the final. you get to go see broadway/off broadway/ and off off broaway plays with your friends. Plus there is not HW. he gives extra credit.take him!
Blah! I got an A, VERY easy class. Lectures are boring! Attendence is very important. Gives extra credit opportunities. His personality will get on your nerves at times but most of the time he is okay. Some of the shows he made us watch were great. Others were horrible!
He's actually a very nice guy. His class is easy as well. Just pay $100 and you get to see some nice shows
He is soooo boring. But his class is kind of easy but I would never take him again.
If you don't get an A or A- in this class, it's your fault. If you go to class and pay minimal attention, you'll get a B on the exams, and with the 10 extra credit points you can earn on your final average... there's your A.
This class is unbelievably easy. notes are on blackboard. takes attendance 10 times and only at the end of class ( hint) tests are easy reuquire 45 mim of studying .. fun teacher very easy A
His class is easy but boring. If you study about 60 minutes before the test you'll get a good grade. Do extra credits.
very interestin person...may fall asleep durin da lecture but da plays he makes u to go r amazin and fun! fun and easy class!
This is one of the easiest classes I've ever taken at Baruch. There's no text, pay $100, just take notes and go to the plays (many of which are pretty cool) and you'll get an A. He's a cool guy that tries to engage his students and is flexible. I took as an elective and basically it's a free passing grade. Must take.
This is the best teacher I have ever had, he is very knowledgable about the subject and makes the class fun. Go to class and pay attention and you'll do good in the course.
maddd easy class. he's really interesting and funny. makes you think about the most random stuff, but it's cool. take the class, see the plays and you'll do fine!
Easy A.His class is very interesting, fell asleep a few times but stayed awake 95% of the times. He Loves theater a lot and is passionate about it, plays you have to see are great and always a fun night out. Not much studying required, just read the week before the test and you`ll get an easy A. A must if you need an A to boost ur GPA.

Easy professor. Just take notes in class, he will even post them up on blackboard, and he curves on oth the misterm and final. Highly recommended.
He's so nice. There's a ton of extra credit, and he only takes attendance 10x in the semester. Takes notes (he puts them on blackboard...but yours will help). Only a midterm and final. study because they are detailed. most of the shows he picked were really interesting. the lectrures are interesting most of the time. Overall...great class.
SPEAKERS BLASTING AT ALL TIMES. Sit in the middle isle - in and not too far back. Its the only spot you wont lose your hearing.
Easy if you study for the tests
awesome prof, clearly loves his job and students...which is soo hard to find. wonderful man, he listens to what u have to say, and talks to u like a person should. love this man.
If you love going to see plays, you'll love this class. Krebs is funny and has a carefree attitude, which makes a nice break from a busy schedule. He gives 1 midterm and a final, each 40 multiple choice. You also get the chance to do a bunch of extra credit. Take the class with a group of friends and it will be 10x better and more enjoyable.
Tests are easy, but there is attendance, and make sure you come to class, because the test are from lectures and from play which you have to go to. Make sure you take this class with friends.
ur grade is ur combined test scores midterm and final 40 points each and 10 attendances at random worth 2 points each. easy class bring a gameboy or a pillow take class with friends
Great professor!! Great personality and doesn't lose temper easily like some. He will be happy to help you no matter! Class is very interesting and sometimes have guests coming in to help us learn more about theatre! I would strongly recommend!
His grading method is questionable but you'll get an A if you get an 85 (two tests worth 80 points and attendance worth 20 + many extra credit worth 2 - 4 points each) No book required but you do need to pay $100 for the show tickets. You should be warned though that he's extremely liberal. That could be a good or bad thing for you.
mad hard class and waste of money. midterm was crazy hard and theres like 50 pages of**** to study for it and $100 down the drain. P.S comment below "gameboy"? WTF
this class isnt all that bad if you read the notes. they were posted on blackboard so you didnt even have to pay much attention during his lectures. the notes look like theres so much stuff you gotta remember but most of it is junk. and the midterm was only like 30 questions, nothing to die over. plus, the 100 dollars is worth it if u attend the sh
Two tests, 40 points each, attendance taken 10 times randomly throughout the semester, 2 points each. Class is actually interesting if you go and pay attention. His T.A. posted all of the notes on blackboard so if you study those a day or two before the tests you'll be set. Also, you get a lot of oppurtunities to hand in Extra Credit. Easy A.
Very enthusiastic and intelligent professor! The course fee of $100 covered the plays/concerts/musicals, which was well worth it. There were also free performances, Broadway and Off-Broadway. This class was very enjoyable!
to get an A u dont need to take notes all u need is to study the notes that are provided to u by krebs and attend that is a sure A.
Very laid back and chill professor. He knows what he's talking about in class and entertaining. The class itself is long but the exams are MC and easy if you read over the notes. WARNING: DO NOT TALK IN CLASS WHEN HE'S TALKING.If you're sleepy? Sleep. He'll put you on the spot, telling you to be quiet.Other than that Enjoy his class, pay $100.
nice dude. mad chill. go to the plays, some are good! do the extra credit, its mad easy and makes a big diff. in whether u get a B or an A. his T.A. zach was mad funny, other than that take him!
class can get boring sometimes, but hes cool. you can tell hes really passionate about his arts. two tests which are easy if you read the notes! take him! class can get boring, but its not hard to get an A
Okay, so he just expressed the most blatant and ridiculous form of liberal propaganda I've ever been witness to. The guy basically pushes his political beliefs on the class and doesn't stop talking about sex(so just because we're college students,it's the ONLY way to get our attention). He's pretentious and acts like he's brilliant. Easy A though.
Hes fun! I loved his class, we got to go to the Broadway shows by just playing $100 in the beginning of the semester. Hes a great professor, I got a B when I had him on my first time in lecture hall. I would have gotten an A if I was used to lecture halls. Take him, hes really funny and friendly!
Yeah, like people said before me: completely full of liberal bs that he spews out at his class every day. Get this: he actually had the gall to hand out voter registration forms at the end of the semester to encourage students to vote liberal. He's an idiot and he doesn't know his place. Simple-minded professor = simple class.
Wouldn't be surprised if he has a poster of Mao, Castro, Hu, and Che above his bed. On the extra credit papers, just write about how you had to flee your country because of American imperialism (oh the irony!) and you'll get an A. The class itself isn't bad, you get to watch cool shows but Krebs is such a joke.
Easy, attendence along worth 20%, tests are very easy if read notes. Boring most days.
waste of $100. tests are impossible to study for cuz he gives you 20 page lecture notes that are basically ramblings. His surprise attendance taking is retarded and he's mad boring.
I DONT KNOW WHY PPLZ COMPLAINING...IF U THINK DIS CLASS IS HARD...U GOTTA GO 2 KINGSBORO OR SUMTHING...BETTER YET GO BACK TO HIGHSCHOOL...EASY CLASS VERYY EASY...2 TEST...ALL THE NOTES ONLINE...NEED 2 READ FEW TIMES B4 EXAM....
Boring class, talks none stop, Hes good if you try to take notes, but when you have Zack to do it, you tend to get lazy. He offers 2 Exams which are not easy unless you study alot! The best part of his class is Broadway tickets that cost $100 for 5-7, and some free off-broadway shows.
Professor Krebs realy is a fantastic professor. He just wanted us to have an imagination and get out of the serioud business world for a little. I LOVED his course, he is a great teacher and I Will never forget him!
Krebs is easy. His tests come directly from the notes and the questions he asks about the plays are incredibly simple. This class is basically paying $100 for an A.
easy class, there are only two exams with all the notes given at blackboard. also, he gives extra points (10 points max) - write 1 pg reflection on any non-required shows, 2 pts each. better go to class coz there are 20 pts for attendance.
VERY EASY CLASS. Krebs gives a lecture every class and the TA takes notes and posts them on blackboard. There's 2 tests (worth 40% each) based on his lecture. Most of what's on the test are on the notes in blackboard. The other 20% is 10x of random attendance. Also offers 5 simple extra credits (worth 2 pts each).
EASIEST class. you just sit there. listening is optional. notes are pointless cuz his TA takes notes to put on blackboard and the midterm and final are directly from those notes. the broadway shows were pretty fun to go to as well.
krebs, cool guy. easy class, but he's strict with attendance, he almost failed like half the class once for signing the attendance sheet and leaving, he took double attendance that day and about 60kids did not sign the second time. u get to go to shows which are cool. good class take it. u learn alot about theatre.
Easy A. Go to class, study the study sheets before the exams, and enjoy the shows! I must admit his lectures get pretty boring but the guests are great!
Classes were boring and a waist of time. Nobody was paying attention to his lectures cuz everything will be posted on blackboard. The class was a waist of time. If you need to take theatre DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.
EASY A!!! JUST GO TO CLASS, SIGN THE ATTENDANCE SHEETS AND PAYING ATTENTION IS OPTIONAL. HIS TA PUTS ALL NOTES ON BB AND THE EXAMS ARE STRAIGHT FROM THESE NOTES. I LOVED ATTENDING THE SHOWS AND NO BOOKS WERE REQUIRED. AN 86% IS AN "A".
I enjoyed most of the mandatory performances. Just study the notes that are posted in the blackboard, you'll do fine in the class.
This class is very boring, but it is an easy A if you do what you're suppose to do. I slept my way through his class, but I went to all the shows he assigned us. He is very funny when he wants to be.
easy class. if u wanna see bway shows, take him! notes are on BB, so just study those and go to the shows and ull get an A. the only thing that can bring u down is absences. and he curves, so the more people that do worse than u, the better it is for u! hahah so dont let ppl cheat off u
He is EASY.u pay $100 for the shows, not for the textbook cuz there no textbook. And then learn notes on BB.For the shows n assigned play reading, dnt worry.Google them n u will get a good idea wat they r abt.90 is an A,wat else do u expect?? Go take him you wont regret.(If u hate watching shows, then think twice cuz they are mandatory)
Relatively easy class. He takes attendance on 10 random days. So don't take risk, try to attend all lectures. And yes attendance counts 20 points. Study the lecture notes uploaded on BB. Go to the assigned shows and remember what you have seen cos questions will be from there. Do extra credits, you can get upto 10 points.
Great Prof! Interesting, funny, pleasant. Very clear in requirements: 40-midterm, 40-final, 20-attendance (takes randomly 10 times during semester). U can do 5 extra credits 2-points each (write a review on attended show+attach your ticket). Must pay $100 and attend 5 shows during semester. Easy and extremely interesting class. Loved it!
It's pretty clear on how to pass this class. Basically come to class, if not get someone to sign in for you. Go to the shows, plays etc & read the two books(theres only two & theyre both short). Remember the date 1564-1616. Study the notes given on blackboard. Lectures are boring but he does try to make it interesting. Do the extra credits! Easy A.
His lectures are interesting and he teaches you about life. I learned more vocabulary words in his class than in ENGlish 2150. His tests are a joke, just read the notes on blackboard the night before. Go to Class! Easy A.
Extremely easy class, but kinda boring. I barely paid attention during class and just skimmed the notes on blackboard the day of the tests and still managed to get an A. He takes attendance 10 random days of the semester. When took attendance in the beginning of class one time and saw people leaving afterward, he took it again at the end of class.
Don't bother taking notes. If you don't enjoy spending time outside of normal class hours, this is not for you. Questions he asks on the midterm/final contains very general information on the shows we are supposed to watch. The course fee for tickets is $100 and if you're not going to go to the performances, don't waste your money.
If you fail this class, I don't know what to tell you. This is absolutely the easiest A you'll ever get in Baruch College! Just watch the shows he assigns and you'll ace the exams. Notes are always on blackboard so if you miss a day, you'll get it there. Attendance is mandatory though if you really want an easy A.
no textbook, course fee is 100$ for plays/shows. worth it. you go to more than you paid for. allows extra credit that really helps. attendance is taken randomly 10x a semester. his lectures are a bit boring but its easy. the TA provides class notes so, if you fail. i dont know what to tell you. its all there.
Definitely take this class for the Arts requirement. You can sleep thru the lectures cus the notes will be posted on bb. You don't even have to come to class if you get someone to sign in for you. 2 tests, 40 pts ea, 20 pts for attendance. Pay attention during the in-class performance & plays you attend. Easiest A you can get.
If you do not get an A (or at least an A-) in this class, I'm srry but theres no hope 4 u. u can sleep in his class and get all the notes from bb. mad easy. The top 35% of the class gets an A. I got an overall grade of an 89 and still got an A! And u should def do the extra credits. This class will boost up ur gpa so do urself a favor and take it.
dam nice professor. theres no need for notes cuz u can find all his lectures on bb. but make sure u study them 2 or 3 days b4 the mid and final. sometimes i even wonder y didnt kreb test students on how fast can one fall asleep..
If you don't get an A in this class then you must be failing your other classes. Ridiculously easy...two exams each worth 40 points and attendance is worth 20 points (he takes it randomly 10 times trough out the semester) Gives out extra credit too.
Love this prof! Very easygoing; has an attitude of live and let live (love that!) You have to make an effort to fail this class. It's a no-brainer. He takes attendence 10x randomly in the semester and there are 2 non-cumulative mc tests. Just make sure you have enough time outside of class to do all the shows.
He is the best professor I ever had for L.Arts classes. This class is really fascinated and fun. 100bucks and you go to so many shows. Do the extra credits, read the notes on bb (even tho 5 question on the exam are not from there).Overall the class is easy, fun and takes your stress away!! TAKE HIM!!
do extra credits(10 points will add into your final grade) which make you an easy A+. Two multiple-choice exams. My average is 99
Just take this class. Show up every class, yes its very boring no question about that. Two 40 question MC exams. EASY read the notes on BB and you will be fine. Extra credit is given. i got a A with a 97 avg. TAKE TAKE TAKe
Just read over the notes (covers ALL lectures) on blackboard a few times, attend class, go to plays, and listen every now and then to lecture and it's an easy A. He gives lots of extra credit chances too. If you do poorly in this class ... that's clearly your fault and not his.
Best professor ever! Many performances; practical side of theater. Every class he tells you something new and interesting. Very gifted and loyal teacher. Enjoyable experience. 3 reviews, final paper; gives you a chance to earn extra credits. Take him!
BEST CLASS EVER! There is a field trip every week. 10 short response papers. 1 presentation. Don't blow the class off though. ATTENDANCE ON TIME is MANDATORY! Papers are not graded easily but they are not too hard or complicated. Prepare a presentation with powerpoint and make it professional. I got an A but I heard slackers didn't. LOVE HIM!
Fun class (visiting museums & performances and writing review articles on them)! Eric Krebs is a very laid back prof, kind & helpful. Knows a lot about theater industry. The only thing, I wish he spent more time on in-class discussions with students and gave some comments on our written work. Otherwise great, easy class!
This man is very passionate about his work. I learned a lot about theatre and it's actually quite enjoyable. The class was boring at times, but it was a very cool experience. Attendance is required, 3 reviews (2.5-3 pages each), and a 7 page final. It sounds daunting, but it really isn't. Recommended.
The best class i ever had. He is very interesting you never know what to expect. He is passionate about theatre and arts and really tries to engage everyone. Not many assignments just a couple and a pretty easy class. Love that he tries to get the students to see as many possible shows.
He's a very hard grader and gives a lot of work. AVOID !
I would't recommend his class. For Baruch as a business school, he just gives you many worries. He is not clear on grading and doesn't tell you what he expects from your 7-10 page final.
Professor Krebs is very passionate about theater. There is a lot of writing (3 reviews - 2/3 pages each, 1 final - 7 to 10 pages), but its manageable and he spreads it out over the semester so it's not much of a workload at once. Attendance is required as well. Not a bad class, got to see some good plays.
3 Reviews (3 pages each) and 1 Final Term paper that he gives you at the beginning of the semester. Attendance is mandatory and if you don't go, he deducts points. He can be very mean at times, but his knowledge and passion is there for sure.
He is the best professor I have had in Baruch. He is very funny and very passionate about theatre. I was always looking forward to his classes. I will surely miss him a lot. Also we got to watch amazing shows. 3 reviews and one final. I got an A. Highly recommended.
He is great! You will finally understand why taking liberal arts is good for you:) Reviews are not hard, just write your own opinion and thoughts. Final exam is taken home but don't leave it to the last day because it's ten pages. The class is very active: you go to lots of performances and meet a lot of people in the classroom. TAKE HIM!
attendance is mandatory since he takes points off (unless you have friends marking you present). bunch of reviews and one final project. final project is 7-10 pages. comes down to one factor ...if you don't like to write keep away from his class.
He is a great teacher . I got an A. There are no exams, only 3 review papers 2 pages each and one final paper 7-10 pages. He gives a lot of extra credits. attendance is mandatory and is 30% of grade. He is very funny and always has great ideas about what plays to watch. take him!!!!!!!!! the easiest class I took at Baruch.
He's very passionate about teaching - it was truly an awesome experience sitting in his class. Everything he did was a form of theater and it was quite the learning experience. I would definitely take him again. His knowledge on theater lights the room up. Definitely one of the best at Baruch. Would recommend!
The best professor at Baruch College so far. Theater classes were inspirational and I would even say entertaining. However, be ready to write: 3 theater reviews (3 pages) and final (7-10 pages). Other than that it was the easiest class for me. Gives opportunity for extra credits
Worst professor in Baruch College!! his lectures are boring and have nothing to do with his class, the plays he takes us too are not entertaining. He's a terrible grader, attendance is mandatory. Stay away!!!!
I took him for two classes and honestly, i would take him again. Yes, he expects a lot from students, but the assignemnts are not hard and he is very objective. His knowledge is inspiration and his passion is great. Take him!
For a business school to have a pre-req for theater class is stupid. However, Professor Krebs is a good choice for that class. 3 reviews (all about 2 and 1/2 pages) and a final (7-10 pages). Good teacher, funny and entertaining
He's a good man and he's funny. I am not a theater person and I don't like history so his 3-hour lectures were boring to me. Especially since you aren't allowed to use your phone and computer. Don't fall asleep with your head down because he wakes you up. If you want an easy A, here it is. Learn to sleep sitting up. But seriously, he's a good man.
Eric Krebs is the best professor I've had in my entire life and I wish I could take this course again. Strongly reccomend. We just had to show up, write a reflection email and that was it. Guarunteed A. Plus he really does care about his students and about the arts. He's so nice and inspirational.
Krebs was my favorite this semester. You learn a lot about theatre and you go and watch a variety of plays and musicals. You had 3 reviews to write (10% each). Attendance is 30% and the final paper is 40%. A wonderful, humorous professor who is very passionate about theatre. Its a shame hes retiring after this Fall 2018 semester.
Awesome class! Amazing Professor!
Mandatory Payment for Broadway plays. Professor Krebs will not allow you to pass his course if you do not pay him. Do not choose him.
