Professor Lamm is a great teacher, each class period he has group activities. He is not a difficult professor at all and try to make the group activities fun. There are weekly group write-ups and quizzes but they are not very hard. Two exams, and one group presentation consist of 15 people.
Class is ok. Quizzes every week. Can be on anything from the reading like what is the college where a study took place. He gave us only 1 week to write a paper. His midterm is ok. Very specific and is both multiple choice and essays. The final is cumulative.

Read the text, show up to class you cant fail. Hard class, but you get really motivated easily. He is an AWESOME teacher, his lesson plans are a lot of fun. Take this teacher! This is the class you look forward to attending.
Fun Teacher. He's very clear about what is expected. The tests are easy. Especially if you read the book. Some students thought it was hard, however they were the ones who never read the book. I would classify him as the hot nerd. He's open and helpful and he takes student feedback well. You must participate and talk in class.
took him this past summer. he seemed ok. i heard someone ratted on him for being too easy and he made sure that it was not for anyone. had quizzes every class. one midterm. final and a paper due on the same day. even lectured on the day of final. who does that? well i don't recommend him. he's very insecure.
This is the worst professor I've ever took in SFSU.
He is a very tough teacher but it is all worth it in the end. You will have to work your ass of in the class to get a passing grade but also Make sure to participate in his class and make sure you stand out to him...you will pass the class definitely then
Great teacher. You do have to show up every week, but it is to your advantage. Class is never boring, and he definitely has a sense of humor. This class is a lot of work, but it's a great class, and you're missing out if you don't take it with Lamm.
Demanding but a fun class!! You'll worked w/5-7 ppl throughout the semester so choose wisely. Quizzes, group work, & lectures daily. SPEAK UP IN CLASS;100-150 PTS FOR PARTICIPATION & TOTAL PTS R 1,000. 1 midterm,a consultant project/presentation(12-14 ppl),& a final which are mutilple choice n' comprehensive so study hard b/c it's quite difficult.

Lots of work, you have to show up to everyclass. If you are absent he will make a point of it. Very interesting lectures and fun class activities, lots of group work. Good class overall, he is nice and a fun teacher, explains things clearly and answers questions helpfully.
Lamm is a really cool professor. Yes, his class is challenging, however the lectures can be fun. Tests are pretty hard but passable. Make sure to read all the material, study hard, participate in class and you will walk away feeling that your tuition at least paid for something this semester.
I took him over the summer so I didn't have to do the consulting project. Yes, he is difficult but he wasn't one of those teachers that you dreaded. He made his lectures interesting and we always did a fun activity that helps us learn the days lesson. I enjoyed his class fully and wish more teachers taught like him. Just DON'T EVER miss class.
Possibly THE most enthusiastic, supportive mgmt adviser and mgmt professor in the mgmt department. There was a group project where he allowed us the chance to sing a short song... what good times group activities were, in class!
Lamm is my favorite professor! He makes learning so much fun. Just come to his class with an open mind and he is ready to fill it with knowledge. Advice: read the book before class and try to get in a group where you know everyone will do their part. (That's the key.) I learned a lot about teams and myelf through this class. HIGHLY recommended!
Lamm was a great teacher. he wasnt the easiest profesor. Lamm expected high quality work and it was hard to bs him but that is what college classes are supposed to be like. One of the best classes Ive ever taken. If you'r looking for an easy A don't take him but if you're looking for a great teacher and a fun class take him. Work hard and get B or A
Dr Lamm is a great teacher that knows his stuff. The class wasn't hard, but the assignments did require some effort and you still have to read the assigned chapters before class for the quiz. The grade is evenly distributed, so there isnt a single assignment that will make or break you. Group work is important, so every body should do their part.
love this teacher love this class. he is the probably THE best teacher at sf state. the class isn't too difficult if you do your portion of work (read & show up to class), it's a lot of fun, his activities really solidify concepts, 3 hour class whizzes by. i kinda wish i didn't pass the class so i can take him again! this is a teacher you MUST tak
I gotta say, this is a course for people who are extrovert and who are native English speakers. For people who does not like to talk in public, or read slow, you are not likely to get a good grade. Professor is knowledgeable and nice, but hard and a bit judgmental. International Students need to put in more time than other courses to pass.
Good teach fun activities but this class is ALOT of work; alot or writing, reading and 1 major presention. Tests are very hard, not the best class for non english speaker. Cannot miss class ever and participation is a must
My favorite teacher thus far. He makes learning fun, has a great sense of humor. I wish he taught all my courses.
Dr. Lamm is by far the best teacher. He genuinly cares for his students and pushes you to learn. Make sure you join the right team cause most assignments are done in teams.
Tough teacher but really gets you to learn the material. As long as your team isn't horrible you should be fine. Just be sure you have the time to put into the class. One of the best teaching styles I've ever experienced.
took this class for summer, LOTS of work and even more if taken during fall. video segment presentation, 2 group projects, 2 tests. Activities during class which you present as well, i found these ok but really just waste of time. he grades very hard and honestly a little too critical given his class style. nice guy but i would not take him again
As an grad class there is a ton of busy work, expect to spend a lot of time; did not learn much and got a B. Not worth the time, several papers, 2 huge exams with detailed questions from the book and the lectures are seperate from book; take undergrad class if possible prob less work
I got a lot of recommendations to take Lamm by friends who took him previously. He really is a great professor and very approachable, unlike most professors. Key thing to this class is choosing your teams. It is a teams class, so make sure your team is comprised of people you KNOW will pull their own weight. A very enjoyable class overall.
Best teacher I've had so far. Very approachable and easy to talk to. Teaching style makes you learn the material and 3 hrs goes by FAST. Most work is done in teams, so choose your team wisely. LOTS of chances for extra credit in the form of team challenges. Lots of presentations, but you get used to it. There's a lot of work, but grading is fair.
Talented, engaging teacher who expects quality and strives for fairness. The tests are hard, but there are many opportunities to improve your grade through presentations and the project. Make sure you have time to put in the work and don't procrastinate or try to BS Prof Lamm. He sees right through it. FUN CLASS
One of the best professor, or quite honestly, teacher I've ever had. Holds each student accountable for their efforts. Highly knowledged, and truly wants his students to succeed. High quality. Take!
It's *all* about the team, so choose wisely. The exams are ridiculously long. The in-class exercises are just ridiculous. Teaching approach is WAY too hyper and jumpy, better for undergrads than grad students. Way not fun.
took his 656 class too. Both have similar formats. Hands down best professor Ive had. You learn a great amount of knowledge and work a lot but it is worth it. Teams were a big part of your grade in both classes. Try and pick ppl that look like hard workers although its hard because you do it on the first day. highly recommended!
Lot of work.. lot's of it is team based (that's the scary part if you have a lazy bunch). Lamm is very approachable, understanding, and very open to any comments or criticism. Very fair grader and clear on what he wants and does not want. Bottom word: Amazing professor...more Lamms needed
Lamm is one of the few professors out there who enjoys what he does, is knowledgeable of the subject and knows how to teach his students. His class requires allot of work but his approach really works. You retain most of the information because it is implemented through out the course. If you actually want to learn something in college take Lamm.
LAMM's class is fun, but has alot of work. Make sure you get into a good team or you will suffer. Grade is mostly base on team work. 1 midterm and 1 final. Work hard and you will do good.
Dr. Lamm is awesome! Learned so much. Weekly quizzes are based on assigned chapters, but only one person from your team needs to take it so everyone must come prepared. I didn't have a choice in the team I was placed in, but was lucky that everyone pulled their weight. Mid-term & Final based on chapters. Come to class & READ -- you will be fine!
Lamm's is a teacher interested in nourishing his students. Whole class is team work but beware of who you pick for your team! Tests are pretty darn hard regardless of how well you study. My main complaint is that his team exercises, and most of the class, are never related back to business. Why not assign reality exercises instead ofbuildnstraws
Dr. Lamm is a great teacher, and you can tell he is very passionate about the subject matter. It's also helpful that he has a sense of humor. He makes his expectations very clear, so pay attention and work hard. It is by no means an easy A, but if you want to learn a lot you should take his class.
3hr lecture goes by very quick with Lamm. He talks A LOT and SUPER FAST! 2 big presentations, quizzes every class, midterm&final are m/c (~100qsts). Gave us extra credit, barely accepts ppl from waitlist. 2d project is pretty hard if u have no connections w/ some companies to interview.Make sure to get into a good team, otherwise u doomed! OK class
Professor Lamm is very good at teaching the material in the curriculum. I take issue with some of his practices. For those who have mommy daddy connections in large companies, they can earn up to 6% extra credit for issuing surveys. If you get a bad group, like I did, your grade will suffer even if you get A's on the exams. Spin the Lamm wheel.
Great professor!! This is a very work load class with weekly quizzes, multiple group assignments, 2 major group presentations and a midterm a final (cumulative). 3 hours will go by fast; Lamm's way of lecturing are be easy to follow and will make you engage in the class. I definitely recommend his class.
If you are a procrastinator or like to sit back and let your group do all the work, do the world a favor and DON'T take this class. Otherwise, Dr. Lamm is a great teacher. Work load and reading are heavy, and the final group project will kill you. It helps if you have a connection with a company with 10 employees you can interview.
OMG. I have no idea how can he has such a good rating. Alright, he is funny and informative. If you want to pass this class, get ready to read, because his test is mostly based from there. There are group projects, so you better choose your groups right, if not, you would most likely to suffer for the whole semester.
This guy is smart and cool down to earth. He makes you do work but only because he cares. If you are going to take his teams class spring 2015 get a good teambe real with them. I saw people struggling because people weren't pulling their weight. I would fo sho take his class again.
Super cool teacher, and he explains everything really well. Despite that, this is a tough course so make sure that you read and study for his exams. And for the love of God make sure you have a good group!
This class isn't by any means "easy". You really have to put in the work to earn a good grade. Lamm is a passionate professor, you can tell he cares. I had a love-hate thing with this course, in the end.. it was worth it. Work hard, and find a good group.. if not take the reigns and make your lousy group better.
GREAT PROFESSOR! He's so funny! 3 hours passes by so quickly! He uses every minute but doesn't not waste your time. His lectures are VERY intellectual and he's very passionate about the topic. Lots of TEAM work! Choose a good TEAM or learn to lead a TEAM well. Tough grader. Got an F on my 1st team essay but still got an A in his class! Take him!
Best teacher I've ever had. The whole class wants to participate because he makes it so fun, but on the same token you're going to put blood, sweat and tears into this class. I wouldn't have it any other way, I've learned more about myself in this class than any other. I would recommend it!
Be careful who you team up with. 4 to 5 TEAM projects - heavily weighted. On the first day he makes the team members write an agreement about each person's role. My team was quick to ditch that (I did not agree) and it went downhill from there. He makes management really interesting. He's very clear in his expectations. It's hard work but you learn
Pretty great professor, his lectures are interesting and engaging. He makes your time worthwhile. The class and subject itself are not hard but it is a big commitment. The class requires a lot of work and he tells you that from the beginning, he is pretty transparent with what he wants. The group work was fun for me b/c we all got along!
If you're a solid team member and have a solid team, you can get a LOT out of this class. If you have a bad team, you will be stressed out the entire semester. Choose very, very wisely. He's a demanding professor, which is how I like it. If you don't want to put in solid studying, avoid his class. You can definitely get an A if you work for it.
Avoid if you can. This guy is so egotistic it'll drive you insane. Doesn't really seem to have any regard for the success of his students. Likes to have the last word on everything. If he isn't right, nobody is. Tips: participate as much as possible, and be an active group member because group projects are the majority of your grade. Good. Luck.
Worst professor I've had here at SFSU. He thinks he's the funniest man on Earth, and I agree that he's way too into himself. Thinks it's okay to make jokes at students' expense. Pride's himself that students learned a lot during his course, but I learned nothing new/very little at best and got an A. Adapt to his character and you'll be fine. :)
Tough grader! No choice but to take him for business major! Make sure you choose a good team because you will be asked to form the first or two day of class. Make sure you make good judgement because everyone that introduces themselves in the beginning of class is not what they mean... It contradicts themselves to make themselves look good.
Makes the class fun while teaching you a lot. He's not easy but you won't regret taking him because he will really make you learn.
It doesn't need to be as difficult as Dr. Lamm makes it. The whole semester you work in a team, pick a good team on the 1st day or you will be miserable. Weekly quizzes are hard to pass. Only 1 person from your team takes the quiz whatever grade they get, you get. Group semester long project is a lot of work, plus a mid-term and cumulative final.
If you don't want to learn something from this course or would like an easy A, this is not the class for you. However, if you would like a great professor who takes great care in his lesson plans, enjoys what he does, guides you in critical thinking and wants you have fun in class... take this class!
WARNING: be prepared to read chapter every week and understand! quizzes every week, one person takes the quiz by picking a card (e.g. queen of hearts whoever draws it takes it) So make sure you have good team! He offers extra points for winners of group challenges take advantage of those, there's a good amount but they aren't easy!
All the reviews below are accurate. Pros: learned new terminology, books were OK. Cons: You pick teams on the first day so sit next to ppl you would see yourself working with thankfully I picked a great time! quizzes are hard only 1 person takes it "team work", midterm and final is cumulative, try to win all the group challenges, 2 group presentati
One of my favorite classes, I learned a TON from him. Super unconventional teaching method 'experiential learning' 90% of this class is team oriented so be prepared to choose your team well and work together extensively. the only thing not in teams are the midterm/final exams. He is very specific and analytical so no winging the final project.
This class is based of a semester-long group project, so it is important that you choose your group carefully. The work is a lot but it if you just follow his instructions for the projects and study for the quizzes you will do just fine. Lamm is pretty funny and easy to talk to. He made the class fun with activities and mini lectures.
Dr Lamm is passionate at what he does. He's very open to feedback and is approachable. However, there are a lot of group projects in this class. A poor grade on a group assignment can affect your grade. Be sure to follow his instructions and he can be tough if there isn't enough analysis related to the assignment. Tests aren't hard if you study.
Dr. Lamm is a very tough grader w/high expectations. However, he makes learning fun as his class is very hands-on w/ unconventional team-building activities. Getting an A isn't impossible--you just have to work for it. Manage your time well, communicate with your team, & don't be afraid to ask for help! You'll be surprised @ how personable he is.
One of the toughest graders and almost half of your grade is dependent on your group. Unfortunately, you pick the group which isn't good for at least two groups. I had to drop this class. I would recommend this class if you take it with dependable friends you know or with people who live close. Lastly, it's unnecessarily overwhelming.
Prof Lamm is asking for why too much work for an elective. His semester long project is way too much work even for a group of 5 or 6. Also the way he runs his quiz taking, is a joke! He makes students pull a card and whoever gets the "card of the day" is the one who takes the quiz for the whole group. Do not recommend, take an easier elective!
He Seems unreasonable most of the time, ironically for a seminar in managing teams class. Get ready to memorize terms instead of understanding knowledge b/c quizzes are fill in the blank. Although, he's fast at answering emails fast which is a plus especially for this class. I would say if you have to take this class, be ready for the worst.
He make this class unnecessarily hard. You choose groups on first day and one person takes quiz for the whole group. He is a very tough grader, he marks off 1 percent on your assignment if you even miss a period. Take someone else.
Do NOT take this class if you already have a heavy load. It's super interesting and you absolutely do learn a lot but it absolutely ridiculous how much time and effort this class requires. Had to meet with my group 2-3 times a week. He's such a harsh grader. Better off taking an easier elective.
Wow. In all my years, I have not come across a class that stressed me as much as this. Find a good group, or you will struggle. This class had almost an equal amount of work to my other 3 classes combined. Extremely tough grader and all about his way. Knowledgable guy, but has an unorthodox teaching style. You've been warned
Requires more work than 3 of your other classes combined. Team is picked on the first day and will be permanent for the entire semester. Tests and quizzes are pure memorization. Go to his office hours with extra credit ideas!! Extra credit will save you if your team is dragging you down. Put CatMe as your consequence for everything! You'll need it.
Dr. Lamm's class is without a doubt very challenging but definitely the most applicable course the business department offers. His entire course was so thoughtfully laid out and you wont realize it till the very end. My biggest piece of advice is to be thoughtful in selecting your teammates, they'll make or break your semester.
Professor Lam is an amazing teacher but his class requires a lot of work and honestly, it is stressful. Heavy test, the group project is DREADFUL and can cause tension in groups if someone did not study for the weekly quizzes. Please save yourself the headache and get another professor.
Prof. Lamm provides an environment that allows you to apply the course material directly in class. The course material was extremely valuable and I was able to immediately put it to use in both my academic and professional career. This class, like all other college courses requires work. However there are lots of EC, and bonus points. Take him.
I was nervous to take Professor Lamm, but soon realized there wasn't much to be worried about. Weekly quizzes based off of the textbook chapter. You get assigned a group at the beginning of the semester and work together for the remainder of the class doing different class exercises, team papers / projects. Take him but be prepared to participate!
Professor Lamm is a great professor. His course is well thought out, you will definitely learn a lot in his class. His in-class team exercises are fun and educational. His class is probably one of the most engaging classes you'll take at SFSU. You can tell Professor Lamm is passionate about the subject and really wants his students to learn.
Highly recommend taking this class. There is teamwork all semester but I've met some of the most driven students within my team. It definitely is not an easy A, but he made learning enjoyable. He is respectful and eager to help his students succeed. Lamm if you're reading this, go team 5! Lamm is a great professor for the MGMT department.
Professor makes the class harder than it should be. I worked very hard in his class and still got bad grades. taking him messed up my gpa, and the class is not worth making it such a hardship for students. I recommended his class for friends now Im telling them to change the class. take another class better for you. trust me.
Worst class at SFSU. Wont learn anything. And hes rude. AVOID
I highly recommend you take Professor Lamm's class. His lectures apply to real-world situations and will prepare you for the workforce. Don't get me wrong, it takes WORK, but shouldn't that be expected of an upper-division course?
Is his grading hard and does he have high expectations of you? Yes, it can be. Mr. Lamm does an excellent job of setting clear expectations, giving useful interactive feedback, and actually DEVELOPING his students instead of simply passing them. If you actually want to get the full value of your tuition from classes, I would highly recommend him.
Class structure is well organized, in class activities are fun and engaging, encouraged participation, relevant material (no extra nonsense), everything had meaning behind it to help understand concepts. Only thing is the papers are graded strictly so keep an eye on your grammar. Just stay on top of the syllabus. Would definitely recommend!
Professor Lamm's online MGMT 656 class was surprisingly the most fun and engaging online class I've taken since switching to zoom university after COVID. Choose your team members wisely, you will depend a lot on one another for assignments and a large amount of extra credit he brings to the table. HE PAYS ALOT OF ATTENTION TO GRAMMAR, be on point
Honestly Lamm is one of the professors that doesnt care how hard you try and how much work you put in to get a decent grade. He has impossible standards and will still put you down and say your not trying your best and he makes the class harder then it really is. From an outdated book you can learn a lot about working in teams But his style is Bad
He makes you hate school, first class to ever receive grade letter of a C. Trying hard don't mean anything to him. his grading was 100% biased, and I guarantee all the students who got A in his class are from team 5 because he has a reputation of being biased with that team number. It is very sad to work hard and still receive a C. Avoid him.
This is one of those classes that you get out what you put in. You definitely need to do your work, but you come out with a clear understanding of the material and I am glad I took his class.
Tough grader, but gives good feedback and is a fair grader. Class was engaging and I learned a lot. He gave lots of opportunities for extra credit, and it felt like he genuinely wanted us to succeed. Overall loved the class and am going to take him again.
He has a lot of group work each week, make sure to read the book otherwise you have some time to do the quizzes as it is multiple choice, 1 each week. Final project is a group presentation and then a final exam, multiple choice.
He made a MGMT elective more difficult than it should be. We had to spend most of Thanksgiving break working on our final project. Also, be prepared to spend 2-3 days outside of class with your group since he's a very tough grader. While the class was fun & engaging, it sucks to put so much effort into a class & still receive a B-. Dropped my GPA.
TAKE HIM FOR MGMT 656. This was my second time taking a course with Professor Lamm, and it did not disappoint. Professor Lamm integrates real-world business concepts, teaching you how teams work and why some teams are more successful than others. Most importantly, Professor Lamm teaches you HOW you can make teams successful.
I'd recommend you taking Professor Lam's Classes. I took MGMT 605 & 656. The class structure is well organized. There are weekly quizzes on textbook chapters, team activities that R fun due to friendly competition against other teams for bonus points, and mini lectures. As long as you actively participate in class N do your assignments you'll do
Professor Lamm is a gem at the SFSU Business department and I'm happy I took his class again. If you want the full value with your tuition and desire something meaningful out of your studies, this is the professor. If you read the text: quizzes and tests are generally easy and group assignments will challenge you, as it is a teams-oriented class.
I took Lamm for both 605 and 656 and I wish I could take him for every other management course! The team competitions throughout the semester are very enjoyable and demonstrate the subject for the week. After taking Lamm's courses, I truly feel like I have the tools to be a great manager.
Professor Lamm is one of the most engaging professors I've had at SFSU. Despite class being held over Zoom, each session went by pretty quickly. He can be a tough grader, but that is only to help you in the long run. If you can't handle a little criticism, then I suggest maybe changing your major.
Took his class and I never done so much work in any of my college life. Quizzes are difficult as it has no correlation to book. Grades on the way you talk. If you have a accent you will not pass the class. Do not recommend and stay away. Proof read papers as he marks points off for grammar issues. STAY away from his class
Worst class at sfsu. Thats all I have to say
Too much work for a management class. He expects above and beyond. Prepare for countless nights without sleep
I wish I had more chances to take Prof. Lamm. This was probably the only class I actually enjoyed waking up each morning and going to. He is a tough grader gramatically but hey, this IS college, and we have a bus writing lab to help, as well as online resources. You will learn A LOT and definitely worth while. Just be prepared to a student in Uni.
Attendance is mandatory, he'll take off points if you don't show up, but the lectures are interesting and fun. You get assigned a group and the second half of class are group exercises for extra points. He wrote the textbook which is really easy to read, and you have five group projects, some tests, quizzes and hmwk per chapter.
Took Professor Lamm's class for two different management classes, both were team-oriented. He gives quick feedback on all quizzes and assignments, makes classes engaging through team exercises that you won't expect what activity he will have you do! Lectures are easy to follow and quizzes/exams are easy if you do the readings.
Professor Lamm treats the class as an actual team. You work with your group members all semester long and implement the ideas that you are taught in class. You must make time outside of class to work with you team - it is imperative! Lectures are interesting - I loved attending. One of the greatest courses I've taken at SFSU.
Professor Lamm is a great teacher, his lectures are very engaging, the reading is easy to understand, and he uses class to do activities that apply to what you read for that class. If you dont like reading this class will be hard for you because there is a good amount of reading and grammar matters for papers and presentations.
Great Professor, A LOT of reading, and group projects. Hopefully you like your team because 55% of your grade depends on how you do work and what you produce with your team. Prof. Lamm is great at feedback and responses but do not expect to be coddled, he will be very straight forward with you. Took 2 of his classes and do not regret it.
Professor Lamm was one of the most challenging professors I had in SFSU, but his courses were also the most rewarding. Both courses I took with him, 605 & 656, were built around a unique curriculum and a significant, semester-long group project. There was seemingly a lot of work, it all felt relevant to the exams, the project, and future careers.
Professor Lamm is a very engaging professor, teaching with a "learning is an active process" philosophy. But work is needed, assigned readings every week, the entire class is based on assigned reading as well as a quiz. 656 and 605 are HEAVILY team-based group projects, activities, and bonus points available through winning fun team-building games.
The work load was very intensive. You had to do a lot, but it was not hard. However, I didn't learn a lot, becuase most of the material is common sence.
This class will challenge you in ways that no other class has. Although, I received a C, I was satisfied with the way this class challenged me throughout the semester. It was an effort to learn from mistakes and to keep moving forward to see a solution. There is no class like it !
Professor Lamm has a very unique teaching style. His class is fun and engaging, and you will definitely learn a lot. The class does require a lot of reading, studying, and taking notes, but if you do this and show up to class you will do fine. He teaches about teamwork very well. 10/10, I would definitely take this class again. Highly recommend!
Get Ready to Sing, take him if you want to engage in learning. not the professor for a guaranteed A
He is very bias when it comes to grading even if you work hard he will give you a bad grade, whole class based on group work so that weighs you down alot. He makes you purchase his book and 60 points because the hw is there. Have in mind he grades on a 700+ points scale. Under 700 you fail.
I had Professor Lamm for Bus 605. Although, it was a shortened summer class the work load was definitely manageable. Professor Lamm gave great insights both in class and as a mentor. I highly advise taking this course as he shifted the way I think about the subject of bussiness in a positive way.
Honestly, one of the best professors I have had at SFSU. Enough extra credit to really help you get that extra bump up in grade. Interesting in class excersizes. Would highly reccomend. Make sure you have a good group
Took over summer, really good experience. Just make sure you have a good team
He is engaging in his lectures and grades fairly. His self-authored textbook is lengthy but insightful, and active participation is crucial for mastering the material. Group projects are a significant portion of the graded assignments, so showing leadership in a group goes a long way.
Professor Lamm's class is engaging, with intriguing in-class exercises. The textbook he authored is informative, but the heavy emphasis on group work can be challenging. Unstructured study tools like Unstuck ai proved helpful for exam prep.
Took BUS 405 but wasnt an option. Very formulaic class, assignments remain in the same form. Simple enough. Professor sends reminders out, he seems kind. I would take this class again. Great if you prefer a structured class, no surprises. Works well in my working and academic schedule.
Everything was online through Pearson, which does need to be purchased. Regardless, it's mainly reading chapters and completing the quizzes/simulations within them. As well as reading the extra reading material and taking the overall exam for that chapter. As long as you stay on top of the schedule (1 chapter per week), you'll be good.
I enjoyed taking this course online. Highly recommended.
Good professor but you will have to put in some time with the readings for an A. Readings have graded activities on Pearson and quizzes and exams are not too hard, but you only have one minute per question. Lowest quizzes and readings get dropped. Good experience overall.
A good and charismatic professor, but you will need to dedicate some time to the readings to earn an A. Readings have graded activities on Pearson, and quizzes and exams are not too hard. Every element posted for each week, such as articles and videos/interviews, will be covered in the quiz, so don't skip the modules without preparation.
