Extremely motivating and helpful. Stats is not the easiest or hardest of courses but he makes it fun and interesting. A great lecturer and fun to talk to. I am in my fourth year and he's still the best I've ever had!! Hope he's around for many more years!

great proff. kind of scares you in the beginning with all of he "you will out perform the other sections" but if you study, the course is not that difficult. great teacher overall.

Class is more of a discussion then a lecture. He knows all students by first name. Always does his best to help. Encourages student interaction (beer drinking etc.) and peer studying. Very funny, very loud and unboring.

This is the best prof that I have ever had. I got an A+ in stats, and it was the first A+ I've ever gotten. He WILL know you by your first name. His sections always outperform every other one. TAKE ANY CLASS TAUGHT BY ERIC LEE!!!

BY FAR the best professor at St. Mary's. Do what you must to get in his class. His teaching style may erk you a bit at first, but you'll get use to it and end up with an A. He guarantees it!

Dr. Eric Lee is BY FAR the best prof I have ever had!! I was terrified to take stats but it ended up being my favourite class so far at SMU. Be sure to get in his class!

Great Prof. Was pretty nervous about taking a stats class. He says he doesn't teach,it s a discussion, which helps out a lot. Makes you get help from your class mates. TAKE HIM FOR STATS. Trust me. An AWESOME TEACHER.

Excellent prof. Really helps you to learn by using lots of exmpples related to real life situations. Really knows his subject, never reads to us out of the textbook. Really gets the class involved. If one of your classes has to be an 8:30, this one won't put you back to sleep.

Very good and funny prof! He geniunely wanted his students to do well and explained things very clearly. I suck at math and becasue of him I managed to get a pretty good grip on stats.

AMAZING prof, really helpful, easy to understand and comical, makes class interesting. I never thought i'd like stats, but his teaching method is very effective! Loads of examples given, easy learning. I can't believe i finished with an A+! All thanks to him! If you're gonna take 207, GET ERIC LEE!!

You want this proff for stats. Provides a ton of pracice material and always has his office door open. Gets his class to really know each other over the term -- nice touch.

You will want this prof. for stats. He makes the course interesting and fun. Plus, it is easy to get a really good grade in his class (as long as you work). An awesome professor!

Amazing professor for stats. A very hard course that this man helped me out in a lot.. would always be willing to help you when he had office hours. Brilliant prof. One of my best profs ever! Reminds me of Eric Clapton.. way cool!

Don't take Lee if your shy! Otherwise he is the man, he explains things very well for a hard course. Gives great examples and forces you to interact with your classmates(goodway to find out the hotties names). Very smart man, knows his stuff inside and out, and offers to help you every 4 minutes. Recommended prof for stats.

Imagine a course where the average grade is an A+ with the standard deviation of a delta-function. You've just learned all you'll ever need to know about Dr. Lee.

Dr. Lee is one of those teachers/professors that I will always remember. He is inspiring, fun, and very positive. He will help you in anyway that he can! As many people say about him, if your shy don't take his class, because you will have to interact with other students and answer questions. He is the best Prof I've ever had hands down!

Outstanding professor. Easily one of the best I've had through both undergrad and graduate. Genuinely interested in the material, and it's difficult not to become engaged by his teaching style. If you have a chance to take stats with him, do it. Who knew that someone could make stats so enjoyable. Assignments, workload and exams are fair.

The BEST...and I repeat THE BEST prof. in the whole world. Makes class SO much fun and easy. He will know your name by the end of the first week. An absolutely delightful person!

pretty original teaching style, makes class funny and easy to meet people. basically you make groups and he gives you problems to work out amongst yourselves... i would rather him do a bit more actual teaching, but overall hes pretty good. really hard class though!

STATS can be so much easier with him than with other profs. His class is the best I've ever taken here at SMU.Take 2207 with him.

BEST PROF EVA!!! so helpful! Super nice! make sure you sit by people that can help you. Lee doesn't lecture, you teach yourself, but you sit by people that understand, you're good. DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS! they help you get an A+ He gives you more practice problems too! One of my best profs, HIGHLY recommend. Book is useless, don't buy it.

This prof teaches in a very odd way. He encourages students to deal with each other and work as groups and to really get the material into your head. I hated Stats but Eric is a pretty solid teacher who cares about students who try.

This prof is the best prof i ever had. Highly recommend him. I tranferred to another university and had to take this course again. My new prof is a bore. No one can make stats as fun as Eric Lee can.

Explain to me how I went from failing one semester and getting a B+ with him the next. I know how, because of him. His teaching style is different but if you try in his class he will do anything he can for you.

He is by far the best SMU has to offer. Most helpful prof and great all round person to deal with(he works in the real world) if you are lucky enough to get in his class DO NO HESITATE!

Perfect professor! Goes out of his way to support his students. Takes interest in each one of them and makes them feel special. Very-easy going...you can only smile and be inspired when around him. He could possibly never turn anyone down. Greatly experienced in business world, there is practically nothing that he doesn't know.

Excellent professor with a very interactive class concept of group work. This approach isn't for everyone but if you do take his class, use your group and work on problems outside of class. I went from a C- in the prereq course to an A+ in this one. Dr. Lee is always available to help.

Dr. Lee is a fantastic professor. At first he seems intimidating, but he genuinely cares about student success & looking out for his students. His work group lecture style is not for everyone & required a lot of prep work outside of class. A very fair marker & gives partial points. Would take another class with him in a heartbeat!

Awesome professor I would definitely take his class again. He explains carefully what he wants and how to pass the class. You actually remember the information.

Best prof ever. Gives extra bonus points and gives lots of practical problems which really help to understand statistics and solve the problems. He is very fair on grading, not too much assignments , friendly and very helpful. Don't skip classes!!!

Definitely a class you don't want to miss, he has no powerpoints and is more heavy on actually doing problems in class with your classmates rather than teaching. He made statistics extremely easy for me and he genuinely wants all students to do well so participate in class and he will love you. Gives bonus points in class and on exams too!

All around great prof, if you are going to take stats I highly recommend you take it with Eric Lee. He turns a stereotypical math hater into someone genuinely interested in the subject, case in point- myself. Do be advised he doesn't like a quiet, unengaged class. If you favour keeping to yourself during class, don't take a course with Eric.

I never would have thought an A+ in stats was possible, but Eric made it seem much more realistic. He has an amazing classroom vibe, and he truly wants his students to succeed. He throws a lot of bonus points out there if you show you're trying. Such an amazing guy and if you have the opportunity to have him or Vanita Mishra for stats, DO IT

It's been 15 years since I had Dr. Eric Lee as a prof. I still remember some of his lectures like it was yesterday. It was inspirational to have a prof that could relate course matter to real life situations. I still think in a probability mindset because of him. Truly a great prof!

To be successful in Eric's stats course you really need to be on a crazy level of understanding. Honestly, use the P-Drive and try to connect with Eric in and out of class. The P-Drive and sample questions are extremely helpful (Not to say that there are assignment and Exam questions on the P-Drive, but...). Put forth an effort!

Eric Lee is the man if you show up to class consistently and practice the problems he provides. If not, I can see why his class would be awful. He doesn't wait around for anyone who isn't willing to put in the work and seek out help. Overall great professor and makes a class that typically is seen as very difficult not so bad.

Ive never rated a professor before, but I believe I must give credit where credit is due. Lee is the best professor I have ever had. I was skeptic regarding his unconventional approach to teaching but as long as you take full advantage of it youll understand how it fits with the curriculum. He is always willing to help students outside of class.

He is the BEST PROFESSOR SMU has ever had -- most compassionate, pleasant and professional with tons of subject-matter expertise and a wonderful sense of humour.

His style of teaching is unusual at first but after 1 or 2 weeks you get used to it. Must interact with classmates but if you don't come to class just use his practice problems or see him during office hours. Gives bonus marks randomly for being an attentive student.

Eric Lee is such a fantastic prof! I was super scared to take stats bc stats seemed really hard and im not into math. He made stats class interesting and easy to comprehend. his classroom vibe was super energetic and friendly and he really cares that every individual gets the concepts, I hear about my friends' stats profs and theyre so not as good

10/10 recommend. His lectures keep your attention, and he encourages students to collaborate with each other to solve problems. He is rather generous with his marking if you know what you're doing. If you don't, you'll still fail. One final point- he's a spectacularly peculiar individual. Some things, you just have to see for yourself.

Eric Lee actually cares about you. He will go out of his way to help you in any way that he can. If you are struggling with the class or if you have something outside of class that is preventing you from doing your best, just talk to him. He is a super understanding and helpful. 100% would take a class from him again if he taught one.

I took his class during the COVID-19 pandemic btw. Before the pandemic started, his class is mainly focused on group in class work. And he gives out a lot of extra points for ANYTHING. Im not good at math but I still got a high grade. He always crack jokes in class. He is a tab bit laid back, which can be frustrating at time but 10/10 a good prof

Eric Lee is an amazing prof. I was never a math student and I excelled in his class. the guy gives you practice problems in his class that he actually made up from his real-life experiences and research, which is so engaging. He's an intellectual but can teach and is just a great guy. highly recommend him if you are or aren't great at math!

Dr. Lee is by far my favourite prof at SMU!I took it online during COVID and it was really amazing. He breaks everything down really well and provides typed notes and video lectures. He really cares about the education of his students and wants us to understand the topics. He talks a lot, but he provides many useful examples and practice.

Professor Lee is a great teacher, he adapted to online classes without a hitch providing informative lectures. He grades incredibly forgiving and is very responsive to emails, responding within an hour typically.

Professor Lee is very nice, he had a difficult time with online as hes not great with technology. It took quite a long time to get our test marks back but hes an easy marker for the most part. I wouldnt recommend him for online but have heard great things about his in person courses! Makes what is suppose to be a hard course very easy.

Stats is supposed to be a hard class. Not if you take it with this prof. I could have got a better grade if I put more time into the class. I barely did anything and still got a B. Become bros with this prof!!! He will help you if you show you care
