Your grade is composed of participation (which includes attendance), chapter quizzes, Microsoft projects, and exams. We used Respondus browser (which monitors cheating) for quizzes and tests. Upon first impression I thought I was going to have to drop this class because the work load is heavy and Prof. Reifschneider seemed to be uptight. But as it's turned out he's been one of the most passionate, caring professors I've had thus far at ECU. The work isn't too hard, the class is applicable to any degree, and there's always extra credit.

The first couple of weeks that I had this professor I thought he was going to be real stubborn and strict. Now that I have stayed in the course he is still kind of strict but its for a good reason. Just come to class and participate and the workload wont be too much. He is also very helpful and accessible if you need help.

Do not skip this class. You will learn much more than what the course and grades are actually on. You'll learn all kinds of things on how your every day life electronics work and things of that nature. I took Mr. R's online class, and he was amazing. Mr. R is not mean; he just genuinely cares about his students and their future. He went over and beyond by having online meetings every week to ensure we were keeping up. Yes, attendance matters and that's the biggest point, but all in all, Mr. R did a great job teaching this course, I highly recommend.

Great teacher but lectures are pretty quick and assignments are due at 5 but if you want a good teacher that will push you to do better he's the teacher for you.

Mr. R is a great professor. You can tell he actually cares about his student's success in the real world, not just throughout college. Mr. R does require attendance. After 3 absences you begin to lose credit. However, he offers tons of extra credit assignments that are reasonable and simple.

If you are into basic technology and want to learn more about how everything works, I highly recommend Mr. R. He does assign a decent amount of homework but it's all really simple and easy but STAY ON TOP OF IT his due dates are at 5PM and he rarely reopens. Attendance is mandatory, you can't be more than 2 minutes late if you want good attendance.

Make sure you come to class because attendance is mandatory. However if you do the classwork and do well and the projects by doing the lessons than overall you should have good success. Tests are difficult but he does give a huge extra credit project at the end of the semester which can boost your overall grade.

He may be more strict that other professors, though he truly just wants the best for his students. No phone policy, strict time management, and does not show slides during his lectures so if you miss out on notes you'll have to watch Panopto video. He does this to ensure his students are actually paying attention in class.

To know that he provides every kind of help you will need to be sucessful not just in this class, it will help you with all knowledge about computers and how do they work. He provides videos, explanations or everything in case you dont understand how to do something.

Mr R. truly cares about his students getting the best out of his course. He wants you to succeed and gives you all the tools to do so. He is my favorite professor, and I will be taking him for my next MIS course!

Mr.R is a great professor and treats all his students equally. He always wants what's best for his students and wants to make sure that his students have a clear understanding of the units. Mr. R has been a great instructor! He has clear expectations and criteria and provides you with a lot of tools to help you pass. There are a lot of homework assignments and quizzes (pretty easy) which help your grade as his tests are pretty hard. Mr. R was my favorite professor this semester. This class is not too hard as long as you show up to class everyday and study for the tests. There isn't enough good things I could say about Mr.R. He is one of the few professors who genuinely care about students and them succeeding outside of the gradebook. He is one of the best professors I've had since I have been here. His assignments are fairly easy and offers extra credit assignments. The only thing is that he offers 3 miss days. You can easily use all of those up in a week if you are sick.

The business school will ALWAYS be a bit more difficult because of the amount of business students that there are. The people that give this professor bad reviews are the people who have never been held accountable in their life and it shows. Professor Reifschneider was the best professor i had at ECU so far. I have learned more about computers this semester than i have my whole life. This class is going to be a challenge if you don't put in your full effort. There are a lot of assignments assigned every week that take minimum of 30 minutes each. The grades are very heavily weighted on projects but all the little busy work makes it not as rough if you mess up.
