Remaley is without a doubt the best math instructor on campus. VERY CLEAR

Remaley is incredibly talented at making a very difficult subject remarkably clear. He probably has artificially low "Easiness" scores due to the classes he teaches. An excellent instructor, take a class from him if you ever get a chance.

he explains things in such a way that the average person can understand the math concepts but sometimes the explanations are so simplified that to explain a concept in conjunction with what he explained earlier he gets the listener lost

Remaley helped a really stressful subject for me (math) and made it into something bearable. He told us EXACTLY what to go over before the test--that was extremely helpful. Overall, he's defintely the best math teacher I've had in college.

Great Calculus teacher. He was extremely helpful with everything. Always gave out his soultions for the tests. Allowed for time in class to answer homework questions. The homework was picked to go with what we were doing.

Remaley is absolutely amazing. He makes calculus easy. He takes lots of time to go over homework and is always willing to answer questions and clarify things. His tests are only one page, front and back. Answers keys are given later.

I am horrible at math and I got a B in this class. His final exam was hard, but just what he said it would be. Nothing tricky. Explained everything and made sure that you understood it.

Remaley is an easy and awesome teacher. Show up! Do the homework assignments and check you answers in the back before turning them in. Most problems are done in class. For test, do the reviews and go to the study sessions. Test are very similiar to the reviews- the numbers are just different.

If you can understand the material from the book, class is a complete waste of time. Usually the room would have 150 students at the beginning of class and 20-30 at the end. If you have any trouble, he uses almost all of class to go over student questions. His review cheets are helpful. Easy tests.

He is the best math teacher ever! He knows alot about math and can teach it very werll. I definately recommend him. His tests can be hard but the reviews he gives out are exactly like the tests. There is no reason not to get an A in his class.

Bottom Line: The man is a GENIUS. He knows more about math then, well, probably anyone. He is a brilliant teacher and his tests are very easy because he teaches so well AND he only puts the easy problems on the test. This guy taught me just about everything there is to know about 3-d vector calculus and i never paid attention once during lecture... he's that good. change your major to take from him, seriously.

This prof has to be the best math teacher I've had. He does a great job of explaining difficult material so that I could actually understand it. I was dreading this class, but it ended up being a lot easier than calc 1 or 2. If you get the chance, take this guy.

Nice guy but found his class difficult. He only works problems, but never explains the concepts behind them first. Also moves at strange paces, sometimes sections are covered in one day, other times a section will spread over the course of several classes. Will do the homework in class if you ask for certain problems.

Best teacher I've had in my 2 1/2 years at WSU. I failed every calc. class in community college but with him it was my best grade of the semester. Not cause he was easy but cause he made the information easy to understand.

I took precalc with him my first semester of school. The subject is pretty easy in itself, but he helps anyone who has trouble with it. I can tell he knows what he's doing, unlike some other math teachers.

Very helpful teacher! I switched from a teacher who didnt teach me anything the first month and did wonders right when i moved. His language he uses while teaching is very common so you never get lost and he goes over any example you want and answers any question you have. A++ Professor!!

Math 172 is one of the hardest classes I have taken, and if it weren't for Remaley, I don't think I'd be able to pass the class. He spends the first half of lecture going over any homework problems people have trouble with. His lectures are very clear, and, if you read the book too, the class becomes much easier.

Fantastic professor! I took 171 in the summer and he gave us study guides before each exam. He is great at explaining concepts and if you pay attention, this class should be a breeze. He cares about his students and he wants them to succeed! He is awesome!

I got burnt out going to class and only earned a C but honestly he is the best math professor at WSU. 420 take differential equations everyday.

His tests are extremely hard if your not prepared and you can easily fall behind. but by far is the coolest and most helpful teacher ive ever had. I had him for Calc II, Calc III, and Diff Eq. Definitely the best teacher I ever had in college. He's not trying to trick you - if you know how to finish his study guide, you know how to ace his tests, which are still difficult (but fair). Highly recommend!

I was really worried about calculus, but he is great at making the material understandable and wanting to take questions from students. Everything is explained step by step so you don't get lost. The tests are intense, but if you work out the study problems before hand it really helps. Great teacher.

GREAT INSTRUCTOR. If you can find a way to make it into a Calc or Differential Equations Class taught by Remaley it's definitely worth it. He provides good examples, his tests are fair, and he genuinely wants to see students succeed

I had Eric Remaley for Calc I and II. He is clear in his explanations, and keeps his lectures relevant to what is being taught. He answers student questions and really takes that extra step in order to help however he can as a professor. I wish I had signed up to take Calc III with him, and still may end up doing so if needed.

I had Remaley for Calc II, but i didn't get to know him until the very end of the semester. I was about to fail, so I met with him instead of my t.a.(who I met with weekly) and he spent 6-8 hours over the next week re-teaching me material. He met with me outside of office hours and was extremely helpful and I assume lenient in grading my final.

Flat out the best prof I've had at WSU. I was blessed to get him for Calc 1,2, and 3. If he's teaching a class that you need, take it, no matter if you were planning on it for that semester. He answers homework questions in class, which is really helpful

The course is strongly focused on computational methods, but Remaley tries to cover more than just simple computation, which is good for anyone moving beyond this class.

This class sort of sucks. It is a 2 credit class that should really be a 3 credit class. It covers a lot of material quickly and only meets twice a week. That said, Remaley made the material manageable.

A lot of the material is really easy, but parts of the discrete probability and counting is difficult. Remaley does a good job of keeping it clear and explaining how to problem solve.

One of the best math teachers I have had. In a class period he would spend the beginning explaining a concept, and then use the majority of the time to show various examples of how to use that method. He is very friendly and helpful when approached. The class was not easy, but it wasn't unbearably hard, he tried to make life easy on his students.

Remaley is a fantastic teacher. He is very invested in his student's success and he is always willing to answer questions and help students who are struggling. I highly recommend him to everyone. He challenges you on the tests but his reviews are great and basically cover the entire test if you go to class then you should do well on the tests.

I've had Remaley for Calc 1,2, and 3. He is an excellent teacher, his lectures are well organised, his explanations are extremely good, and his practice exams are extremely relevant to his exams. His exams also don't ask questions that are more advanced than the homework. I am extremely sad that I have to take diff EQ from a different prof.

"I am not a math major.." haven't taken math since h.s. and my advisor placed me straight into calculus.. Do not hesitate in taking calculus him.. I needed this class to get my business cert and pleaded my case with him after failing all his tests and getting the homework all wrong and I came out with what I needed.. He's kind and good. Amazing as both a teacher and a person. I'm currently taking his class and if you do all your works by deadline and touch a basis with him you should be fine. Classes are not mandatory.

I think he's one of the best teachers at WSU and just an Overall Baddass chill dude. Helps with all the quizzes on Friday and some are even takehome.

I hate that the "easiness" score implies that because he makes you work, it's somehow a lesser class. Remaley is an amazing professor, and though he does make you work for your grade, he will help you master your math skills at a level you probably never thought you could achieve. Remaley is a great math teacher. I have struggled with other professors, but he is clear and breaks the subject down for us to understand. His classes aren't easy, consisting of only homework and tests, but he reviews material prior to the test based on what is written within the test. This means no surprises.

I haven't go to collage since the high school, which is 8 years. Math was the biggest challenge for me. With Dr. Remaley I have got an A in Math172. This professor is an amazing. Dr. Remaley gives you everything you need to get an A in the class. He gives you written HW help and gives a thorough review of whats on the exams. Exams consist of 6 questions, one of them you get to cross out. Best thing was is he had a review that included every possible question on the exam so you do those and you're guaranteed a perfect grade.

Math Jesus is a very accurate description. The material can be very hard and difficult to understand if you've never taken a higher level math class. Either way Eric gives awesome lectures and is always happy to help you learn. If you understand the material you should do very well on exams (which is mostly what your grade is based on).

Professor Eric Remaley is a wonderful teacher with a firm, accurate, and understanding grasp of that which he teaches. He makes difficult content easy to master and does so in a comfortable way that makes lectures a joy and not just another class. His fashion sense also speaks volumes about what truly matters to him and I respect him very much.

Everyone talks about how great Remaley is and I only kind of agree. I mean he's a great professor but there's nothing exceptional about him. He also clearly is annoyed when you come to office hours instead of going to the MLC. That said I don't tend to need to go to office hours very much because he's very clear during his lectures.

Remaley is the best math instructor I've had here. His lectures are pretty easy to follow and he does a good job of doing a lot of examples. He also uploads everything he ever writes out so that is helpful too. I struggle with math and I found him very willing and able to go above and beyond to help students understand.

Hes incredibly smart and actually cares that his students understand the material. His lectures are clear and precise with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, where he gives clear answers. His teaching styles make hard classes seem easy, and i dont know much about his office hours availability because i have had no need to attend them.

Math Jesus has flow. The man is an absolute legend. Very clear instructions. Pretty standard homework load though. Great teacher absolutely would recommend and take again. My TA was pretty awful so having this teacher really helped me make up for it. Very reasonable let me make up a test outside normal hours that I had missed due to illness.

By far the best math teacher I have had at WSU. His lectures are super easy to follow, making a hard class not seem as bad. He posts all of his lecture notes online and they are very organized, and easy to follow.

50% of the class grade was HW and 50% of the grade was exams. The written HW was a bit tricky and the exams are hard but honestly, Eric is now my favorite math professor I've had at this school. He is willing to work with you if you need grace/help. Strongly recommend taking him not just for this class, but for any math class.

If you have to take 216 this is absolutely the guy you want to take it with. Seriously cannot recommend him enough. He made one of the more difficult classes at WSU manageable. He's a fair grader on the exams and while there is a lot of homework he'll often let you turn things in late without penalty if you ask.

Remaley is a very good professor; very approachable, takes time for his students, and explains things in multiple ways if someone doesn't understand. It's a good idea to go to class, in my opinion, but he does put all of his notes and lectures online.

Very good at lectures and explaining material. If you show up to class and take notes, the tests are not that hard and grading is quite forgiving. He is also just very smart and respected.

He is the best, I chose 9 AM lecture only because of him. He explained things so well and easy to follow. Homework each week with a reasonable due date and amount of HW. It was worth of time to spend in his class.

Remaley is such a good professor. I have never heard anyone say anything negative about him. He is a really good teacher, he does a ton of examples in class and they make a lot of sense. If there are things that are unclear, he is open to questions and he never acts like the question asker is dumb. If you can, definitely choose Remaley!

As far as math teachers go remaley is the best. He teaches well. Answers questions. Has enough character to make it worth going to lectures. Long live math jesus

"I'm not here to fool you" is what he said when giving us the practice exams. He was right. He was able to explain things clearly and concisely and was probably the most "down to earth" math professor I experienced. He's always at his office hours and will often stay later if there are people present who haven't had their questions answered.

You will never find a better math professor. Very fair and clear, but he goes beyond the norm to help. He offers extensions if you ask before the due date (even for non emergencies, seriously just ask). MML is optional to boost your grade. quick responses to emails. gives partial credit if you get a portion of the question right. Really a great guy

Awesome prof! He is an amazing artist and can easily draw complex 3d surfaces and give you a geometric understanding of each calculus concept. The bulk of the lecture is him working through live examples and he'll show you exactly how to ace the exams.

He is awesome! Gives great examples of concepts to help students understand. In 202, always had 2 classes strictly for exam review before the test. Soft spoken and always leaves room for questions. Work is easy if you try a little bit. Definitely my favorite math teacher. 10000% recommend.

Great at 3D drawings that make concepts easier to understand. Class grade is test-heavy, but before each test he will record a multiple hour long video of himself working through the example problems which will help you feel prepared for tests. Best math professor I have taken.

Remaley helped an extremely complicated class to go smoothly. His teaching style is absolutely perfect. He has his own useful shortcuts and examples he uses outside of the textbook allowing for you to ACTUALLY understand the material. He also has two review classes before each exam to better help prepare. All around the best prof I've had at WSU.

This guy is an extremely good professor, his homework assignments were good at preparing you for the tests, and he's passionate about teaching. Sometimes I'd see him in Petco staring at the reptiles and amphibians, all around interesting guy.

I am the worst in math, but this professor has made me understand concepts that I would never have learned given my mathematical background. I understood the calculus part more than the algebra part, which says alot. Homework and written assignments were super helpful as exams closely followed those.Mymathlab was the worst part of this class though

I had Remaley for almost every math class I've taken at WSU and he is genuinely one of the best professors I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable about the material he is teaching and is willing to help on almost anything. It was a tough class, but he did his best to help all of his students through it.

My favorite math professor I have ever had. He pays attention to detail in lecture and always leaves time for students to raise their hands and ask questions.

I had Dr. Remaley for calc 3 and diffy q, and I thought he was great both times. At first I was kind of intimidated by him, but if you ask him questions one-on-one or go to his office hours, he's really nice and helps explain. The classes were hard (because the subjects are complex) but he explained them well.

Professor Remaley is a phenomenal math teacher! Don't get me wrong, his classes are difficult. However, he has a clear fundamental understanding of mathematics that leaves him capable of explaining each concept in a variety of ways. He is my first choice for math teachers at this university any day of the week. I suggest you take 1 class at a time.

I came here to rate professor Remaley incase he was underrated, but it seems everyone has made a great review because Remaley is a great professor. Pro tip, just do the MML homework, it actually accounts for a lot of your grade.

Eric Rameley is one of the single most helpful professors ever. Recorded a 3-hour breakdown of every concept on the final and posted for review outside of class. Truly goes above and beyond. Makes hard math easily understandable.

He posts his lectures online. Math 201 had quizzes every Friday. Study and get A's on all of the homework and you will do fine even if you're not good at math/don't do well on quizzes. Homework is easy to get help on through the examples. He explains things thoroughly during lecture and is happy to answer any of your questions. Easy going teacher.

Hands down Remaley is the GOAT. Made math so easy to learn, and he does all the problems step by step explaining why he does each step. Homework is pretty light, but there are quizzes every week, however he goes over what is on the quiz right before. Really enjoyed this class.

The class itself was fairly simple, and the professor never tried to overcomplicate it. The coursework was the same throughout the class. You'd know what to expect every week. He'd have an assignment due Wednesday and a small quiz on Friday. On Fridays, he would dedicate about 30 minutes to reviewing the quiz material to help the students.

Very efficient and knowledgeable professor. He could be very funny in class and took time to explain the idea behind concepts not just throw them at you. Exam preparation lectures as well as his posted exam materials were extremely helpful. Show up to lectures and office hours and you will be fine. Also, do the homework if you want to pass.

Remaley is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. His lectures aren't boring and he explains things very clearly. Although his quizzes are on paper every Friday it forces students to study the material and understand it well for exams. He has office hours everyday and is always there if you need extra help.

Professor Remaley has been one of the best math professors I've had. He is super clear during lectures, and makes sure every step is explained. He has absolutely no problem addressing any questions a student has, and he genuinely couldn't be a better math professor.

He teaches with a good mix of theory and examples. While he does go fast in the lecture, he posts the notes and lecture video to review later (great for studying). The exams reflect the coursework, and he dedicates time to reviewing the study guide in class. He is very chill, knows his stuff, and all around is a super cool professor.

The math wizard makes hard concepts easily understandable. Definitely utilize unstuck study ai alongside the textbook and recorded lectures - it really helped me master the material for the final.

Eric Remaley does a great job of explaining math concepts in a way that is easy to understand by providing tricks that he uses when solving problems. He records lectures so attendance is not mandatory, but he likes to see students in his class. He provides extra credit every week to attempt (but not necessarily solve) a concept problem. He's great!

Calc 3 topics are super confusing but Remaley's got it down to a system and his explanations, examples, and drawings are so helpful. I preferred to watch the video lectures instead of going because he does go a little fast at times, and the math is hard, but I wouldn't want any other professor explaining it.

Posts so many old exams and solutions to problems in relations to the exams. Far better at uploading quality study material onto Canva then any other prof's i've had. You'll know exactly what to study for the exams and you will have a solid idea of what will be on the exam from material and review in class. I wish more professors taught like him.

He's the GOAT!!!

Math Jesus was a wonderful prof. He taught at a consistent and reasonable pace which was easy to follow. The class itself was easy. There was a written assignment and 2-3 online assignments each week which took a decent amount of time. Tests were fairly easy because they had no trick questions and tested whether you actually knew the topic or not.

Remaley is the best professor I have had at WSU - I've had him now for Calc 3 and Calc 1. He truly wants everyone to succeed in his courses. He gives you tons of resources to help you in understanding the material. Truly the GOAT of math here in pullman.

Overall a really great professor, seemed like he genuinely cared about our success and the class. My learning style didn't always work well with his teaching style, particularly with how he explained line integrals and when he did u substitutions in his head. He is widely regarded as the best Calculus teachers.

If you can get a class with him, take it

Remaley's fantastic. Lectures are easy to follow and he posts videos if you miss one or want to review them.

Dudes amazing. Had him for calc 1, 3 and diffy q. If you can take him, take him. He cares that you're able to learn the stuff and get good grades whilst doing so. He provides very helpful study guides for exams and the exams are always very similar to the guides so if you can do those and you put in some effort, you'll pass with flying colors.

This guy is a goat of math. Plus you don't even have to go to his lectures because he records everything online. Very easy to understand and follow. His examples are amazing! As long as you take notes on the examples he gives you pretty much every problem on the tests and written hw!

This Professor is great. While the concepts in class are often difficult, he goes very in-depth into each problem. He is always great at answering questions and encourages questions after every example. Made Calc II a manageable and even a fun class.

His lectures are very good for such complex topics. He pieces together formulas instead of slapping them in front of you and his illustrations are top-notch (seriously, he is amazing at drawing 3D shapes).

This class is hard, but he makes it super easy to understand. He draws everything out so you can understand where formulas are coming from. Stay on top of your work and don't get behind, and you'll do well.

He takes complicated concepts and explains them to make it easy to understand without alot of fluff that most professors include.

Yes the class was challenging, but lots of study resources are provided and expectations are clear. As long as you don't fall behind on lectures and homework, you'll be alright.

What a kind and great professor. He's always delighted to clarify anything a student might not understand and even more eager to engage in thought experiments—even beyond his specialty. He'll try to engage with them and expand his knowledge then. He doesn't smile often in class or with students, but when he does, it's genuinely warm and contagious.
